CRITICAL RACE THEORY BRIEFING BOOK, CHRISTOPHER RUFO

Critical race theory is an academic discipline that holds that the United States is a nation founded on white supremacy and oppression, and that these forces are still at the root of our society. Critical race theorists believe that American institutions, such as the Constitution and legal system, preach freedom and equality, but are mere “camouflages” for naked racial domination. They believe that racism is a constant, universal condition: it simply becomes more subtle, sophisticated, and insidious over the course of history. In simple terms, critical race theory reformulates the old Marxist dichotomy of oppressor and oppressed, replacing the class categories of bourgeoisie and proletariat with the identity categories of White and Black. But the basic conclusion is the same: in order to liberate man, society must be fundamentally transformed through moral, economic, and political revolution.

The critical race theorists have constructed a series of powerful linguistic tools. To successfully fight against critical race theory, we must adopt language that is trenchant, persuasive, and resonates with the public. Here are some powerful words and phrases to include in your communications.

Defining critical race theory

  • “Race-based Marxism”

  • “Woke racism”

  • “Critical race theory divides Americans into oppressor and oppressed based on their skin color.”

Sex Change Transitioning for Minors

Transgender ideology is not just infecting our laws, but intruding into the lives of the most innocent among us—children—with the apparent growing support of the professional medical and education communities.

"All of us should demand a halt to the medical transition of minors until rigorous non-agenda-driven, long-term research is completed." Dr. Michelle Cretella, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians

Sex change transitioning for minors is the new popular “thing,” now promoted in schools beginning in Kindergarten, promoting risky medical procedures for minors often without parental involvement.

The Federal Drug Administration has not approved pediatric hormone blocking, a relatively new practice, first introduced in the United States in 2007. Even though giving cross-sex hormones, like estrogen to a boy is also not FDA-approved, these so-called hormone treatments are now offered in Planned Parenthood clinics.

Celebrations of grade school student transitioning, like the third grader in West Linn, Oregon are becoming common. If the parent chooses, soon this 8-year old boy will be given hormone blockers to avoid going through natural puberty to become a man. The treatment is irreversible.

In his book, When Harry Became Sally, Ryan Anderson shares the results of a study examining the risk of suicide among transgender teens, confirming they attempt suicide more frequently than adolescents, generally. The study assumes the unproven belief that all gender identities are equally healthy and fixed in all children and teens.

This is an ideological premise touted by professional medical and psychiatric guilds, not scientific fact. Evidence suggests that sex reassignment surgery does not improve rates of attempted suicide.

The study also offers no proof that these radical therapies…will prevent adolescents from attempting suicide. The result of this will be scores more children needlessly sterilized, placed on toxic cross-sex hormones, and maimed by mutilating surgeries as early as age 13,—none of which have been proven to prevent suicide in the long term.

There is no medical path to achieve REAL gender change. It is scientific fact individuals are born with permanent DNA in every cell of their body, either male or female.

Today is Friday,  February 18. We lost the recording to be aired yesterday, so are doing it today. That’s show biz! 

This podcast is gaining momentum! We have reached a milestone: over 10,000 downloads! It’s great to know you are listening! That’s something, since this is new to me. Now I am encouraged to expand our reach. I hope you will continue to listen and share these episodes. From the beginning I believed this is one of the best ways to reach parents. I know you have very little opportunity to read lengthy articles or research materials on websites. PRIEs website is one of the best resources out there. Please use it when searching for more info. The show notes here are provided so you can do just that.

I spoke with a woman earlier this week about the dynamics associated with our issues today. Isn’t it incredulous people seem so ready to believe anything they are told? They don’t question the validity. For example the transgender issue. Basic understanding of biology would lead most to doubt the premise one can “change their sex” by using cross sex hormones, and remove body parts. Even more astounding is the notion, pre-pubescent youth should be stopped from going through puberty, and school counselors should identify those students and keep their decision from their parents. And this ridiculous reasoning can applied to mask and vaccine mandates, and other lame excuses for restricting freedoms and controlling citizens. In addition, what is more astounding is the willingness of the people to be controlled!

A fairy tale came to mind as we talked, The Emperor’s New Clothes, by Hans Christian Anderson. Have you read it? We often use the phrase when making a point, but do we know the story? I decided to share it with you. 

Hans Christian Anderson was a Dane, born in 1805. He is recognized around the world for his books, including The Ugly Duckling, Thumbelina, The Little Match Girl, The Princess and the Pea, and many others. He endured many hardships and, by some accounts, transformed his pain into art. His fairy tales were highlighted in a movie in 1952, and he became a household favorite. His stories always had a meaning.

Fast forward to today! Who is the emperor? And who are the swindlers? I love this allegory. We must be continually vigilant to expose truth, although our nature is to leave the details of government in the hands of experts, not questioning their opinions. 81st OREGON LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY--2022 Regular Session

SENATE BILL 1521

SUMMARY 

Authorizes district school board to terminate superintendent without cause only if certain conditions are met. 

Prohibits district school board from taking specified actions against superintendent when superintendent is acting in compliance with state or federal law. 

Declares emergency, effective on passage.

(B) Including in the contract provisions that provide for the termination of employment of the superintendent prior to the expiration of the contract. If the superintendent and the district school board mutually agree to include a termination-without-cause provision in the contract, the district school board may terminate the superintendent’s employment, without cause, at any time during the contract period only if the district school board provides the superintendent with at least 12 months’ notice of the termination. Nothing in this subparagraph authorizes the district school board to make a wrongful termination or a termination for any reason described in subsection (3)(a) of this section. 

(3)(a) A district school board may not: 

(A) Direct a superintendent to take any action that conflicts with a state or federal law that applies to school districts or education service districts; 

(B) Take an adverse employment action against a superintendent for complying with a state or federal law that applies to school districts or education service districts; or 

(C) Employ a superintendent pursuant to a contract that purports to waive, or conflicts with, any provision or requirement of subparagraph (A) or (B) of this paragraph. 

(b) As used in this subsection: 

(A) “State or federal law” includes any executive order, order of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, declaration, directive or other state or federal authorization, policy, statement, guidance, rule or regulation. 

(B) “Superintendent” includes an interim superintendent. 

SECTION 2. This 2022 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2022 Act takes effect on its passage.

Of course elections are very exciting and important however, we cannot ignore the news. What should have been a moment of sporting pride — a celebration of some of the best female swimmers in the country, this year’s NCAA swimming championships became a scandal, because organizers allowed a biological male, Lia Thomas, to compete against female athletes on the basis of transgender status.

And what about Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Senate confirmation hearings this week? Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Tuesday questioned Jackson on critical race theory books used in a private elementary school on which Jackson sits on the board. And Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., pushed Jackson to define the word "woman," which Jackson declined to do. 

Who would have guessed the transgender issue would obfuscate news of a possible 3rd world war? It reminded me I needed to finally read Abigail Shrier’s book, Irreversible Damage, The Transgender Craze Seducing our Daughters.

I knew so much about the transgender issue related to public schools, biology, and psychology, I was sold on the the reasons why it should not be promoted or taught in our schools. But, Abigail shared some very important insight to why our daughters are literally being seduced into making life changing decisions they will regret. Please don’t think my overview is a substitute for the book. I strongly encourage you order several copies for your friends and the local school library!

“This is a story Americans need to hear. Whether or not you have an adolescent daughter, whether or not your child has fallen for this transgender craze, America has become fertile ground for this mass enthusiasm for reasons that have everything to do with our cultural frailty: parents are undermined; experts are over-relied upon; dissenters in science and medicine are intimidated; free speech truckles under renewed attack; government healthcare laws harbor hidden consequences; and an intersectional era has arisen in which the desire to escape a dominant identity encourages individuals to take cover in victim groups.”

Success Without Even Having to File a Lawsuit

When the Clapp family called Child and Parental Rights Campaign we thought we were in for a huge fight in federal court. After all, they live just outside of New York City, where gender ideology is radically supported. Their daughter was being socially transitioned to a “male” identity by her public school over her parents’ objections. This, in spite of the fact that her therapist and a residential treatment center had insisted that it would be harmful to the young girl’s mental health.

In preparation for a federal lawsuit, we sent a letter to school officials demanding that they honor the parents’ wishes and the medical opinion of the professionals who were working with the Clapps’ daughter. In order to strengthen their position, we helped the parents retain a renowned psychiatrist to begin working with their daughter and she too submitted her medical opinion that it was in the child’s best interest to not endorse their daughter’s desire to be treated as if she were a “boy” by school officials.

To the parents’ great relief, the school officials caved and agreed to follow the parents’ directions and the medical opinions of the medical professionals. This happened in New York State!

You might wonder what fuels our resolve to fight this irrational ideology. It is emails like the one we received from Mr. and Mrs. Clapp after we helped them protect their daughter:

"We can never adequately express the depth of our gratitude for your tireless work in restoring our parental rights to protect our daughter at school, nor can we ever adequately repay you for your grit, dedication, expertise, and manpower. To have a legal team of your caliber paying such scrupulous attention to our small case (and without nearly the monetary compensation you deserve) is astounding. We are still pinching ourselves that this went our way without going to court—and in New York State, no less! This is a testament your collective efforts, know-how, persistence, and passion for this cause.

…we will be able to sleep at night knowing that, with your help, we’ve done everything in our power to safeguard [our daughter] from harmful people and practices.

 Again, you have our undying gratitude! Thank you for standing up for the rights of us and other parents who have been marginalized, condescended to, and disregarded by the public school system. We value and believe in the important and necessary work you are doing, and we will continue to support you in any way we can."

The Transgender Craze is not just crazy, it’s dangerous! Parents have to stand against the notion that school officials presume to now better than you what your children need. It is unconscionable we are even debating the presumption minors have the cognitive ability to understand their sexual preferences or desires before they are ever fully man or woman! How can a young girl possibly know she is REALLY a boy when she is 8?

Many more students are making choices they otherwise would not have, without peer pressure to do so.  GSA Clubs encourage students to join, or be considered a bigot. Although, parents can have such conversations with their own children if they choose, public school policy requires staff to teach students about controversial behaviors, question and challenge family beliefs and values, and encourage students to experiment sexually with one another. Students are asked to make decisions about sexual orientation even before entering puberty, and accept ideologies when they are in Kindergarten.

It’s not that easy to step sideways or out!… Hormone injections will render kids sterile within four months. Chest binders can cause life threatening complications, including destroying breast tissue. Young women cannot either conceive or nurse their children. Once a minor student begins “transition,” as the GLSEN protocol specifies, he or she is encouraged to change their name and pronouns, and use opposite sex rest rooms without parent knowledge or permission. In most cases the child is assured their secret is “safe” with the school. We hear from parents across the nation whose children have “come out” to them long after they have been assimilated into the trans culture, and begun wearing chest binders, taking hormones, and scheduled surgery. Oregon law makes these services available to students at taxpayer expense as young as 14.

Since we are 13 years ahead of Illinois, we know allot more about how this plays out in a public school setting here in Oregon. Like the 8th grade middle school boy who was sexually harassed by a boy identifying as a girl. When the victim had finally had enough, he raised his voice saying, “Please leave me alone.” The boy identifying as a girl ran to the school office in tears, declaring, “I do not feel safe.” The school asked the victim to write his harasser a letter of apology, and to attend the other high school in the district, further away from his home. 

And there is more! The following school year the victim attended a school outside his district of residence. Two visitors came to his Freshman English class to talk about a new GSA Club and why others should join. The victim raised his hand and asked to be excused. Thee more students did the same. The teacher responded with an emphatic “NO,” stating she would not allow any bigotry in her classroom. Student club member recruitment is inappropriate during any academic class period. Students have the right to be excused from any instruction they consider is offensive or against their faith. The teacher was out of line. 

There is definitely a disproportionate amount of attention, and sympathy placed on LGBTQ students. I want to know if the survey was given to the student body at large, and what percentages applied to others representing the heterosexual students. I want to know if the age and maturity levels of those surveyed was taken into account. I know from my own experience raising three children, the accuracy of a survey given to minors is not reliable. And… what about other socio-economic and emotional factors impacting these students lives was not related to their sexuality?

"WHAT DOES THE PPRA COVER?
The PPRA provides parents with a right to review curriculum used to teach their child at school. It also provides an even more extensive set of rights to review, and opt out, of certain surveys and studies that probe into the children’s lives and attitudes.

Curriculum
Parents have the right to inspect “any instructional material” used as part of the education curriculum for the student. The parent who wants to exercise this right must request the material; the school does not have to provide access to the material without being asked first. Parents should demand that schools disclose teacher training materials designed to affect or direct student instruction as “instructional material.”

Surveys
Without parental consent, schools cannot require a student to answer questions about:

  • Political beliefs or affiliations
  • Mental problems or challenges
  • Sexual behavior or attitudes
  • Illegal, antisocial, self-incriminating, or demeaning behavior
  • Critical appraisals of people with close family relationships
  • Relationships with lawyers, physicians, and ministers
  • Religious beliefs or practices
  • Income level (unless it’s asked simply regarding eligibility to participate in a program)

If the school wants to distribute or administer a survey created by an outside entity (not the school), the parent has the right to review the survey first, along with any supplemental material (including teacher’s manuals) that come with the survey. The parent must request this; the school does not have to provide copies without being asked first. Critically, this applies to all gender and race-related materials.

Certain school districts have retained survey and data mining companies.  These companies sell race-focused student and teacher surveys, data management tools, and training on systemic racism and oppression, white supremacy, implicit bias, gender issues, and intersectionality, often under the rubric of “Social-Emotional Learning.” If parents are engaged and object, then none this sort of material should be forced on children. Dear Salem-Keizer School Board and Superintendent,

Like many parents, I was not afforded the opportunity to speak during the public comment of your last meeting. As I have already expressed to you, there has been a noticeable trend of a disproportionate number of LUS activists being given an opportunity to speak during your meetings while only a statically improbable and small number of parents get to speak. Due to this, I will address my concerns publicly and in writing. 

While addressing the high rates of suicidality among transgender youth should not be ignored, applying the practices in this district’s transgender policy to the entire student body population instead of just those affected by gender dysphoria is ill advised. There are no studies that I have found looking at the effects of teaching gender fluidity to gender conforming students or the impacts it could have on the mental health of gender conforming students. This appears especially foolhardy considering the greatly increased rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide amongst all youth. The US surgeon general and several national pediatric societies have declared American youth to be in a national mental health crisis. This is just one of many concerns I have about the release of this policy. 

It is unconscionable that this district’s transgender policy dictates that gender affirming books be put in all district libraries K-12, with no mention of age-appropriateness. Many of these books, which I have seen and which have been found in Oregon school libraries, include extremely graphic and even pornographic content. Often these books teach children how to engage in sexual acts by themselves and with others, condoning even incest. With the number of children who experience sexual abuse, I find it highly ironic that this board would approve an abuse proclamation in the same week the district released this policy promoting books that condone this behavior. Additionally, it is unlawful to expose children to pornography and teachers are mandatory reporters. I would encourage every parent to examine the content of their child’s school library and if pornographic content is found, contact child protective services and file a police report. Administrators and the district should be held responsible for any child exposed to pornography in their school library. 

This is especially true at a time when 4 educators in Oregon, to include 1 in this school district, have been arrested or are currently under investigation for sex crimes against children. All 4 of these situations have occurred in the last 2 weeks. It is extremely ill conceived that this superintendent would roll out a policy that would make it easier for sexual predators to hide their grooming practices under the guise of comprehensive sex education or transgender inclusion, making it that much more difficult to detect their abhorrent behavior. The Equality Act has not yet been passed into law by Congress, however just like the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) passed Congress in 1972, it failed to be ratified by enough of the 38 states needed for it to become part of the Constitution.  EQUALITY ACT, Daily Signal Article

But, like the ERA, most states have embraced many of the intended goals and adopted similar laws at the state level. For example, Oregon passed the  Equality Act into law in 2007. 

Oregonians have experienced all of the disturbing consequences of this dangerous misguided law as predicted by the Heritage Foundation in an article in 2019, when Nancy Pelosi delivered on her promise to introduce the so-called Equality Act, which would elevate sexual orientation and gender identity to protected classes in federal anti-discrimination law.

Less than a week ago I received reports of parents who were threatened by school staff that is they did not affirm their child's decision to identify as the opposite sex, the district would report the parent to Child Protective Services.

Oregon education policy is to protect the child’s right to confidentiality to choose a different name than the one given to them at birth. That my friends is the Equality ACT.

Parents are horrified to learn of their minor child’s decision to change their sex at the urging of school staff.

EDMONDS: On March 28th, Jason Rantz, well known NW radio personality  published an article about the Edmonds SD claiming children as young as 7 were being taught about gender, self-identity, and asked to choose their own pronouns. When parents complained, district representatives claimed lessons to be mandatory by new law. Either they were misguided or lying to parents.

BELLINGHAM: A first grade teacher read the book “I Am Jazz”, a story about a boy who identifies as a girl, to her young students. When parents discovered the book was read to their children without their permission or knowledge, and complained to the district, they were met with silence. The parents then took their concerns to the school board. NO SYMPATHY... the president of the board operates a self-described “all-ages” sex toy shop.

WHAT IS THE LAW?
Both of these districts are operating counter to RCW 28A.300.475 Comprehensive sexual health education. According to the law,

"Comprehensive sexual health education for students in kindergarten through grade three must be instruction in social-emotional learning that is consistent with learning standards and benchmarks adopted by the office of the superintendent of public instruction."-section (11)(b)

Nowhere in the standards for social emotional learning is there any mention of gender, self-identity, or lessons on pronouns.

On the website for the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) districts are given permission to teach sexual health starting in kindergarten which includes lessons on gender and self-identity,

"No sexuality content or curriculum will be required, although districts may choose to offer additional instruction in alignment with K-12 Learning Standards for Health Education."

BUT...If they do THEY MUST follow the law which states,

"...any parent or legal guardian may review the comprehensive sexual health education curriculum provided in his or her child's school"-(7)(a)

OPT - OUT, and the law also states:

"Any parent or legal guardian who wishes to have his or her child excused from any planned instruction in comprehensive sexual health education may do so upon filing a written request with the school district board of directors or its designee, or the principal of the school his or her child attends, or the principal's designee."- (7)(a)

"The school administration refuses to allow any public debate concerning this book. Parents have been silenced. The most recently conducted zoom meeting on March 4th continued to make it clear that what they say goes, no one else was allowed to speak. All of us were muted by the school administration, questions that were sent by me amongst others were ignored. The meetings are fully orchestrated theatrical performances that fail to address parents’ concerns.

Parents’ rights have been violated and we demand immediate intervention.

The Bill of Rights published on the DOE site unambiguously states:

Parents have the right to:

Participate in regular written or verbal communication with teachers and other school staff and share concerns regarding their child’s academic, social and behavioral progress;
Participate in meaningful and productive parent-teacher conferences to discuss their child’s progress in school and have access to other school staff, as appropriate, throughout the school year to discuss concerns;
have their child learn in a safe and supportive learning environment, free from discrimination, harassment, bullying, and bigotry.

Parents have every right to be allowed to speak to their children’s school administration and should not be silenced. This is a public school, taxpayer-funded, and should not be permitted to completely shut down open discussion about our children’s education. The school should be required to abide by the federal and state constitutions and basic principles of allowing parents to speak about concerns they have regarding their children’s education. 

Such conduct reminds me of the country I grew up in with a totalitarian regime where one was not allowed to speak freely. The authoritarianism or totalitarianism the US Supreme Court said is unconstitutional.

Public Officers (PBO) CHAPTER 47, ARTICLE 7. § 103 is known as the open meetings law. Except PS 158 has a total disregard for it.

The NYS Board of Regents publishes many statements about civic readiness, including “Demonstrate respect for the rights of others in discussions and classroom debates, and how to respectfully disagree with other viewpoints and provide evidence for a counterargument.” Something PS 158 feels does not apply to them as these children are very young, and the rights of others in discussions, equally applies to the parents of these very young children. They want to teach respect of others, yet show total disdain for the viewpoints of the parents of these children when it suits their own political agenda.

OPRF to implement race-based grading system in 2022-23 school year
School board members discussed the plan called “Transformative Education Professional Development & Grading” at a meeting on May 26, presented by Assistant Superintendent for Student Learning Laurie Fiorenza.

In an effort to equalize test scores among racial groups, OPRF will order its teachers to exclude from their grading assessments variables it says disproportionally hurt the grades of black students. They can no longer be docked for missing class, misbehaving in school or failing to turn in their assignments, according to the plan.

“Traditional grading practices perpetuate inequities and intensify the opportunity gap,” reads a slide in the PowerPoint deck outlining its rationale and goals.

It calls for what OPRF leaders describe as “competency-based grading, eliminating zeros from the grade book…encouraging and rewarding growth over time.”

Teachers are being instructed how to measure student  “growth” while keeping the school leaders' political ideology in mind.

Most states have adopted standards which include these basic provisions: Medically Accurate, Healthy, and Age Appropriate. We have found these standards are not followed by most CSE curriculums. Healthy is inaccurately defined, encompassing questionable medical treatments for mental health issues without parental permission. Medical accuracy is a subjective and often underrated requirement often lacking in the whole picture.   Because Age-appropriateness can only be determined best by parents, these lessons should only be offered by written parent permission. 

Senate Bill 818 added personal health and safety education standards in K-5, and made comprehensive health education more inclusive in grades 6-12.  School districts do not have to adopt the voluntary standards unless they are teaching comprehensive sexual health education. Parents can choose to opt out.

Course material and instruction help students learn about concepts like consent. It develops  self-advocacy skills for effective communication with parents or guardians, health and social service professionals, other trusted adults and peers about health and relationships. The Illinois State Board of Education developed and adopted these new voluntary learning standards.
The Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to affirming that sexuality is a natural and healthy part of life. SIECUS develops, collects, and disseminates information, promotes comprehensive education about sexuality, and advocates the right of individuals to make responsible sexual choices.[1] It is acknowledged as the institutional voice of these concerns and a pioneer of the comprehensive sex education program.[2]

Planned Parenthood is behind all of the efforts to embed K-12 Sexuality Education in Public School. 

SIECUS, based in Washington, D.C. was founded in 1964 by Mary Calderone, medical director at Planned Parenthood, to challenge the American Social Hygiene Association's sex education program.

IN PORTLAND, THE SEXUAL REVOLUTION STARTS IN KINDERGARTEN


"The curriculum begins in kindergarten with an anatomy lesson featuring graphic drawings of children’s genitalia. The lesson avoids the terms “boy” and “girl” in favor of the gender-neutral variants “person with a penis” and “person with a vulva,” because, according to the curriculum, some girls can have penises and some boys can have vulvas. “Any gender and kid can have any type of body,” a related presentation reads.

In first and second grade, students are introduced to the key tenets of gender-identity theory. “Gender is something adults came up with to sort people into groups,” the curriculum states. “Many people think there are only two genders, girls and boys, but this is not true. There are many ways to be a boy, a girl, both or neither. Gender identity is about how you feel about yourself inside.” Next, students work through a lesson called “Our Names, Genders, and Pronouns.” The lesson tells them that “gender is like outer space because there are as many ways to be different genders as there are stars in the sky.” Students, the curriculum explains, can “change their name to match who they are, like their gender, culture, or just what they like better.” They can be “boys,” “girls,” “cisgender,” “transgender,” or “nonbinary,” and experiment with pronouns such as “they/them” and “ze/zir,” according to their personal preferences. “Only you can know what your gender is,” they are told."

Public Testimonies are not dialogues. They are monologues by design.

Presenting a good argument never goes unheard. Remember your testimony is often for the other citizens in the room or watching on line.

1.  Do your homework. Research the topic and think through your options.

2.  See the situation from all angles. Try to understand the viewpoint held by the other side. Can their arguments be justified or not?  

3.  Clearly define your goals. Be clear about what you want.

4.  Remain calm and avoid getting emotional. If you become emotional, and do not have majority support, the other side wins.

5.  Ask for what you want. Don’t be afraid to explain your needs and what you’d like as an outcome, but do so calmly and non confrontational.

6.  Avoid finger-pointing. Focus on the issues, not personalities. Name calling is what the other side does, not us.

7.  Find a creative solution.  Think win/win, not that someone must walk away a winner and the other a loser. Public schools are for everyone.  Point out why your solution benefit everyone.

8.  Remember that there will always be a tomorrow.

We, the National TRUTH Council of 2017-18, draft this document in the radical tradition of creating manifests in order to define our revolution and achieve liberation. The manifesto was inspired by and builds upon the Black Panther Party’s Ten-Point Program, the Young Lord’s 12 Point Program and Platform, and the Third World Gay Revolution. The manifesto is not a static document, but a living one, so that it may be updated and changed to reflect the council’s increasing understanding of the systems of oppression and the changes in the language we use to describe both ourselves and these systems.

We are in a moment which calls for us to bravely and ferociously fight for our communal liberation. In this moment, in the name of our transgender and gender nonconforming ancestors who struggled before us, in our blood, bones, and our spirits, we claim our right to existence and our future victory with these frameworks to guide our own work and the work of future generations on our collective, continuous journey towards liberation.

1) We Call for the Right to Self-Determination and Control of Our DestiniesWe as trans youth have the right to control our narratives, spaces, and all aspects of our lives. Resources to achieve this trans empowerment must be made more readily accessible and available.

2) We Call for the Abolition of the Police, ICE, Borders and the Judicial System
We demand abolition! Abolition of the police, abolition of borders and ICE, abolition of the current punishment-based justice system. We demand for our communities to be empowered to take care of themselves, for no borders, for rehabilitation and healing justice. Abolition is a process that we are committed to fight for.

3) We Call for an End to Disposability Politics and a Commitment to Transformative Justice
We believe in establishing a culture of accountability that is transformative in nature and creates opportunity for growth.  We must take responsibility and hold space for the collective wellbeing and unity of our people.

4) We Call for an End of the Cisgender Heterosexual Patriarchy
We recognize that the current state of the world centralizes the stories of white cisgender heterosexual men. We call for the end of a social structure that separates or determines the value of people on gender expectations from historical Europe. We demand that queer and/or TGNC people no longer be oppressed by these frameworks, institutions, and their enablers.

5) We call for Decolonization and Reparations for all Indigenous and Black Peoples
We call for the payment of reparations that are owed and the reclamation of cultural practices by the communities from which they originated. We call for the active and complacent perpetrators of cultural appropriation and colonization to be held accountable and to recognize the privilege they maintain through the oppression of others.

6) We Call for Comprehensive Education that Reflects our Histories and Needs
We call for the use of informed educational practices that provide access to curriculum to help build opportunities for historically erased peoples. We call for free and non-compulsory education for all ages and for all access levels....

PARENTS' RIGHTS In EDUCATION MONTH!

What Does the Law SAY?

The Supreme Court has not ruled on how Boards of Education choose books to place in a library. However, once a book is in a library, school boards may remove it only under certain circumstances.

The Supreme Court set the standard for banning books in 1982 (Island Trees School District v. Pico). In that case, the school board attempted to ban a number of books because they were "anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, and just plain filthy.” 

The Justices were unable to come to a majority agreement and instead issued what is known as a "plurality" opinion, in which some combination of justices signed on to three different opinions in order to render an outcome. The standard from Pico which governs book banning decisions is that school officials may not remove books from the school library simply because they dislike the ideas in the book. However, school officials may remove a book from a school library if it is inappropriate for the children of the school. For example, if Lolita was in an elementary school library, the school board could probably remove it because of its highly sexual and violent content.

There is no doubt the stunning increase complaints about removal of “inappropriate” books from K-12 schools is fueled by the introduction and promotion of three curriculums: Comprehensive Sexuality Education, Social Justice and Race Theory, and Gender Identity. All of these themes have been fueled by a concerted effort to produce complementary literature for students as young as Pre-School/Kindergarten. 

Something more is taking place. The curriculum companies have much to gain if these additional books are available and promoted in the school library for students and school staff to supplement their narrative. We know their goal is to change the culture. SEICUS new by line is Sex Ed for Social Change. Between breaking down our children’s inhibitions, sexualizing them, and indoctrinating them to embrace gender and race theory pedagogies, the K-12 public school cabal IS accomplishing what they strategized for a century.  

However, they underestimated the resolve and commitment of the nuclear family in America and beyond. We are not about to just take it lying down. The campaign to rid our libraries of anti-family literature in the name of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice is just one initiative to roll back the progressive plan. Parents who have been censored by their school boards are not giving up. We are laying the groundwork for a program to ignite local communities to take their control of school districts back. 

So, Deborah Caldwell-Stone, director of the ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom, you are correct. The wave of attempted book banning and restrictions continues to intensify, and that’s just the beginning!

For the Record... 

I must address the obvious up front. it may be construed by some that my story is just a reflection of a “sour grapes” attitude, because the outcome of my electoral race was a loss. if i had won, would the message be any less necessary? uh...no! 

True, the election was a grand disappointment. however, i will admit and others concur that my personal life is much better because i did not win. if that sounds selfish, it is. Serving in the legislature is no picnic. i might have driven my fellow legislators crazy with my get to it attitude and efficient use of time and extreme dislike for rambling verbiage. i know that the media is upset as they would have loved attacking me as they generally do with politicians of integrity and conviction to moral principles. 

Nonetheless, my loss for a house seat was critical. it brought us closer to losing the majority. it was the house of Representatives who kept many pieces of liberal legislation from making their way to the governor’s desk and becoming law. Final straw: During the next election cycle we did lose it, all of it! 

Alas, in 2007 all three branches of the legislature were controlled by the liberals. The majority rules and they certainly did. They revealed their real agenda by passing domestic partnership laws overriding the initiative passed by the voters in 2004 to protect traditional marriage. They continued to move oregon further into socialism threatening the middle class, while not enforcing laws to report and arrest illegal immigrants jeopardizing the basic protection of citizenship and liberty. 

We lost everything because the other side slowly and persistently took control. Where were you? god’s people have been asleep at the switch when it comes to elections. We are not really committed to winning, unless you consider football. no, that doesn’t count when future lives are at stake! Some very good people have been let down, people we should be helping and supporting. We are being intimidated and run out of town by those who are committed to winning; secularist liberals! 

Apathy is not just an Oregon phenomenon. it is common knowledge within national policy and legal organizations that god’s people have lost much of their “chutzpah” when it comes to engaging the culture and getting involved in defining the laws that govern them, er...us. 

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the university of edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier: 

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. 

From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

The following is adapted from remarks delivered on November 3, 2022, at a Hillsdale College reception in Santa Clara, California.

Education as a Battleground

by Larry Arnn, the twelfth president of Hillsdale College. He received his B.A. from Arkansas State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in government from the Claremont Graduate School. From 1977 to 1980, he also studied at the London School of Economics and at Worcester College, Oxford University, where he served as director of research for Martin Gilbert, the official biographer of Winston Churchill. From 1985 until his appointment as president of Hillsdale College in 2000, he was president of the Claremont Institute for the Study of Statesmanship and Political Philosophy. From October 2020 to January 2021, he served as co-chair of the President’s Advisory 1776 Commission. He is the author of several books, including The Founders’ Key: The Divine and Natural Connection Between the Declaration and the Constitution and Churchill’s Trial: Winston Churchill and the Salvation of Free Government.

"Public education is an important component of the prevailing administrative system. The roots of the system are in Washington, D.C., and the tendrils reach into every town and hamlet that has a public school. These tendrils retain some measure of freedom, especially in red states where legislatures do not go along automatically. In some red states, the growth of administrators has been somewhat slower than average. But this growth has been rapid and large everywhere. In every state, the result has been to remove authority and money away from the schools where the students learn. In every state, the authority and money drained from the schools have flowed toward the bureaucracy. 

The political battle over this issue is fraught with dishonesty. Any criticism of public education is immediately styled as a criticism of teachers. But as the numbers show, the public education system works to the detriment of teachers and for the benefit of bureaucrats. The teachers unions themselves, some of the largest of the public employee unions, claim to be defending teachers and children. That cannot be more than half true, given that they are defending an administrative system that has grown by leaps and bounds while the number of teachers has grown very little.

Worse even than this is the tendency the system sets in all of us. Bureaucracy is a set of processes, a series of prescribed steps not unlike instructions for assembling a toy. First this happens, then that happens, and then the next thing. The processes proceed according to rules. It is a profession unto itself to gain competence in navigating these rules, but nobody is really competent. Today we tend too much to think that this kind of process is the only thing that can give legitimacy to something. A history curriculum is adopted, not because it gives a true account of the unchangeable things that have already happened, but because it has survived a process. The process is dominated by “stakeholders”—mostly people who have a financial or political interest in what is taught. They are mostly not teachers or scholars

DEFENDING PARENT'S RIGHTS: GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY, NOT IN HUDSON WISCONSIN!
Let’s unpack this…
The group psychotherapy model is not appropriate in the public school setting. 

Psychotherapy (sometimes called "talk therapy") is a term for a variety of treatment techniques that aim to help a person identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behavior. Most psychotherapy takes place with a licensed, trained mental health professional and a patient meeting one-on-one or with other patients in a group setting.

Psychoeducational groups are led by a therapist who takes on the role of a teacher and trainer (Brown, 2018). This contrasts with process-oriented groups, where the therapist takes a background role as a facilitator of the group experience.

Psychoeducational groups are a form of education-based group therapy. Rather than focusing on individual client relationships, psychoeducational groups focus on providing education, training, and support.

Normally thee kinds of groups are led by licensed, trained mental health professionals. The English teachers are not trained sufficiently to facilitate this project. 

2.The books listed are sensitive and controversial, introducing students to subjects and risky behaviors, which in many cases students may not have known about until reading one of these books, participating in the group discussion, or reading the research-based, news-style article produced by fellow 9th graders.

Is the school ready to take legal responsibility for decisions students make as a result of introducing them to these themes, including “violence, depression, racism, sexuality, substance abuse, rape, and language?” 

When teaching minors to engage in risky behavior of any kind, the answer to the question is, “age appropriateness depends on the child, and the context of the instruction.

3.Students are not capable of dealing with adult level decision making at this age. We believe the lack of cognitive and developmental maturity levels of young people have been grossly overlooked by educators and curriculum authors.

Scientific findings regarding mental and emotional maturity are stunning. Conservative estimates indicate maturity at age 25. This is well known, throughout education, psychotherapy, and mental health circles.

Sandra Aamodt, neuroscientist and co-author of the book, Welcome to Your Child's Brain.

“Neuroscientists have found the brain scans show clearly that the brain is not fully finished developing until about age 25. The changes that happen between 18 and 25 are a continuation of the process that starts around puberty, and 18 year olds are about halfway through that process. Minnesota will soon ban faithful Christians, Muslims, and Jews from teaching in public schools by requiring that every state-certified teacher “fosters an environment that ensures student identities such as … gender identity … are … affirmed.” Once the new requirements clear a final procedural hurdle, they will be immediately challenged in state and possibly federal court, a civil liberties lawyer told The Federalist on Tuesday.

“We have lots of parents who are upset by this sort of thing in schools already,” said Doug Seaton, president of Minnesota’s Upper Midwest Law Center, in an interview. “They’re going to be even more upset with how their teachers are going to be licensed. Their teachers are going to have to be faced with hiding their beliefs or getting denied [for a state teaching license].”

Seaton said it was accurate to describe the nearly finalized regulations as communicating: “Christians, Muslims, and Jews need not apply for Minnesota teaching jobs.” That is unconstitutional, he said, so UMLC plans to sue once the changes go into effect.

The state agency that composed the changes disputed they would effectively ban religious Americans from teaching in Minnesota schools through a spokeswoman on Wednesday. The spokeswoman did not respond to a follow-up asking how Christians, Jews, and Muslims could adhere to their faith while complying with the licensing requirements that all new teachers publicly reject their faiths’ declaration that God has created only two sexes, male and female.

K-12 Public School Activism Responsible for Tennessee School Murders

Parents Rights In Education (PRE) is opposed to the teaching and promotion of Gender Identity beginning in kindergarten. Unfortunately, the Nashville, Tennessee school shooting this week is an outgrowth of the activism now present in most public schools across the country.

The Tennessee shooter, a confused young adult female, was in counseling. According to Nashville’s chief of police, John Drake, investigators believed the shooting stemmed from “some resentment” the suspect harbored “for having to go to that school” as a younger person. We want to know what advice she was getting.

School counselors and psychologists today, encourage parents to begin social transitioning in kindergarten. Parents are bombarded with the message their children should be encouraged to explore their “real identity.” I recently received a call from a concerned a father whose five year-old son was seen by the Philomath, Oregon grade school psychologist, who recommended Dad consider “social transitioning.” Although Dad and son discussed biological reality, his son was influenced by female siblings to wear long hair and feminine clothing. Dad needed to be reminded he is the father, and has the right to mentor his son. What if he had not contacted PRE?

What seemed like an effort to protect individuals struggling with “gender dysphoria,” has rapidly developed into a highly volatile political issue, and minor children are the target. Parents’ rights to direct the education of their minor children, and manage their healthcare decisions, have been stolen and sacrificed on the altar of Gender Identity Rights. These are pseudo “rights” fabricated out of a false premise. Humans cannot medically change their sex.

The average voter is unaware of the purposeful solicitation and recruitment of minors by public school staff and volunteers to change their sex. Students are inundated with messages about their “gender identity” rights daily. National Education Association member teachers wear badges encouraging students to seek them out for one-on-one counseling about sexuality and gender identity. In addition, LGBTQIA++ activist teachers adorn their classrooms with Gay Pride, Transgender, and Black Lives Matter political flags and posters.

Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) Clubs, a project of the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network, are now in K-12 schools. GSA Network is a political organization using local public school districts as distribution centers for their trans political agenda to "leverage the collective power of thousands of trans and queer young people in the United States who connect with us through our network.”

Say what? What ends here? The stealing of parents rights. It has to stop! Messing with our kids while they are in school is not acceptable. Stop messing with our kids!

If it doesn’t stop, the government will eventually achieve complete and total control of our children. Don’t think it can happen? You bet it can. History is full of examples. 

Ask your elders if they remember WWII. My grandparents immigrated to the US from Germany after WWI. My dad served in the Army Air Force in WWII. I remember at age 10 listening to my grandmother’s cousin talk about the Nazis storming into her home during the war. 

The only way we are going to stop it is IF we never give up. And I mean NEVER! 

I know, because I did give up, more than once. I discovered the reality of the government called public school in the early 90’s when our three children were in grade and Middle school. The school board made it clear, they did not have anything to do with curriculum. Welcome to the bureaucratic shuffle!

So I gave up, because of that AND the lack of interest by most people. They didn’t seem to care. Decided to start an art and interior design business.

Later, I ran for the Oregon House of Representatives. Lost by a handful of votes. Quit agin. 

Ran again for Senate, lost. Quit again.

Do you see the pattern? Losing an election is not really quitting. 

Parents’ Rights In Education has always been the issue for me. When I took the role of Executive Director in 2018, I determined we can never give up. There are no election dates related to our rights. No one can put a hard stop on this cause.

Parents rights are natural inalienable rights which should be protected, not taken away by the government.

It's no surprise that K-12 public schools now are social service agencies instead of educational institutions and have nearly succeeded in controlling every aspect of our children’s lives.

There’s one more factor evident here. What we are seeing now is a departure from the original Constitutional form of government. The framers understood true freedom, and the nature of man. They devised a plan which provided for strict limits to the role of government, and the rest was up to the individual to either succeed in life or fail on his own terms. 

It is NOT the proper role of government to take care of individual citizens from birth to death. Providing food, shelter and health care is not the proper role of government. We are in the last week of campaigning for school board positions in the state of Oregon. We are busy with endorsements and GOTV efforts right now.

Those who have never been involved in the election process are involved. They are astounded how much work it is, and how mean the other side can be. Everything from stealing or destroying campaign signs to outright slander applies to these contests. Candidates have called me saying they want to die, or I never would have done this had I known… these are folks who  vowed they would stand up for their convictions, and nothing could deter them. 

Please know that a political race is never personal. It sure feels personal because you values are under attack, but those attacks are because of your stand, not you personally. What does it mean to take a stand. For me that means to decide exactly when enough is enough, and where will I draw the line. It is about principle, not compromises. The Left has no intention of stopping until they have full control. When you open the door to compromise, it is the beginning of a slippery slope to loss of individual freedom and rights.   

Your opponent will do whatever it takes to keep you from gaining their seat. Once you win you ma be compelled to hold your seat without much ability to achieve your goals until the next election. The reason is, unless you have a majority of like minded individuals on your board, your power is limited. 

You might be wondering why this seems to be a new revelation… Young parents are just learning about the School Board. They weren’t aware of the policy changes in just the last 5-10 years taking away their rights and mandating curriculum without their input. Maybe some earlier board members did not anticipate the radical implications to their decisions. My belief is the role of education has been stretched out of control, to the point we no longer have educational institutions. It’s time to restore the proper role of education, and get the ball rolling at the local level.

School Boards can do it by passing policies that reflect the wishes of the parents, but parents have to speak up and ask!

PRE takes a strong stand for tolerance, inclusivity, and equality for all students in the public schools. Our concern stems from the many complaints from students, parents, and teachers of inequities in these areas. Unfortunately, the extreme focus on LGBTQ initiatives has created an unintended backlash, as some students feel marginalized and threatened for holding their 1st Amendment right to traditional viewpoints.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The City Council on Thursday unanimously approved the renaming of O'Bryant Square to Darcelle XV Plaza, located at Southwest Harvey Milk Street and Park Avenue.

The change honors the life and legacy of Walter Cole, who dazzled people on stage for five decades as Darcelle.

“By renaming O’Bryant Square to Darcelle Plaza, we send a resounding message of support and recognition to the LGBTQI+ community, reminding them that they are valued, and they are cherished members of our Portland family,” said City Commissioner Dan Ryan.

Darcelle was the oldest working drag queen until her death this March at the age of 92.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The bill that sparked the longest Oregon Senate walkout in state history were quietly signed by Gov. Tina Kotek on Thursday, officials say.

The governor’s office confirmed HB 2002  – was signed into law and will receive a ceremonial signing at a later date.

The law guarantees Oregonians ages 15 or older can access reproductive health care, including abortion. It also allows people of the same age to access care without parental permission in some cases and protects healthcare providers from out-of-state investigations and legal action.

The bill also backs more gender-affirming procedures in insurance coverage — including facial feminization surgery and hair removal treatments — and implements a fine of up to $6,250 and a prison sentence of up to 364 days for anyone who interferes with health care facilities.

•          Eliminates any age of consent requirements for Gender-affirming treatment and procedures.
 •          Requires written permission from a child of any age for a parent to know what health services—including Gender-affirming treatment—are provided by a health care provider.
•          Pharmacists will be authorized to provide Gender-Affirming Treatment medications without regard to the age of the patient.

Returning to our second segment, we've got good news - our movement is making strides! In 2022, 85 parents’ rights bills were introduced across 26 states, while 2023 has already seen 62 bills in 24 states. All of these efforts aim to increase parental involvement and transparency in education. This shows we're making an impact and will continue fighting for parents’ rights.

In our final segment, we delve into a topic of much debate - Comprehensive Sexual Education. Promoted as an inclusive and age-appropriate approach, it is being seen by many as explicit and incentivizing early sexual activity. Organizations like Planned Parenthood, the WHO, and the ACLU are backing this. As an example, programs like EXCLAIM! suggest that young people need varied sexual experiences for their health. This raises concerns about parental involvement and when a child should learn about sexual activity.

MAINE Policy ACAAA, Transgender and Gender Expansive Students:

Cited in Maine lawsuit Goldwater/Lavigne v Great Bay School District after a student was provided a chest suppression device (CHEST BINDER) w/o parental consent. 

The unconstitutional policy violates parent’s fundamental right to guide the upbringing of their child. Last week, the district’s board attorneys provided legal opinion stating the policy does not address parental notification, while providing sample verbiage to roll into the policy. The District Superintendent is not a judge, and parents require due process.

Maine PRE demands full application of parents’ fundamental rights, evidence of actual and substantive risk to the child by notifying the parents, at which point mandatory reporting applies.
