17 Jul 2018 | Episode #001: Fred Stoller | 00:15:04
Fred Stoller is an acclaimed comedian, actor, and writer. I had the pleasure of interviewing him on August 6, 2017 at The Grove in Los Angeles, where many regard him to be "the mayor." His latest book is Five Minutes to Kill, an e-book on the HBO's 1989 Young Comedian Special, which Stoller appeared on alongside David Spade, Rob Schneider, Warren Thomas, Drake Sather, and Jann Karam. More on Stoller can be found online at www.fredstoller.net.
30 Jul 2018 | Episode #002: The Police’s Andy Summers | 00:11:06
Andy Summers first achieved worldwide fame as one-third of the legendary rock band The Police. However, The Police was only one chapter of Summers’ successful career as he was a prolific sideman before joining the Sting-fronted power trio. After The Police disbanded, Summers became an in-demand composer for film projects (e.g. Weekend At Bernie's), beyond recording solo albums and presenting dozens of shows featuring his photography. The latest solo effort from Summers is last year’s Triboluminescence, and I had the pleasure of speaking with the guitar great by phone in September 2017. More on Andy Summers can be found online at www.andysummers.com.
13 Aug 2018 | Episode #003: Rob Grad | 00:13:50
Rob Grad is an in-demand visual artist based in Los Angeles. But before his art career took off, he played bass in the band Kik Tracee, which inked a record deal before Grad’s 21st birthday. During days off on tour, while his bandmates were sightseeing or at local malls, Grad visited museums. In other words, he was not your proto-typical “hair-band” guy. Grad showed during Art Basel, Switzerland and at SCOPE Miami last year, and his work hangs in San Francisco International Airport, The Avedis Zildjian Company in Boston, and the Griffin Club in Los Angeles. I spoke with Rob Grad in August 2017 while visiting Los Angeles. More on Rob Grad can be found online at www.robgrad.com.

Chris Jericho has millions of fans around the world for a variety of reasons. Within the world of professional wrestling, he has been a world champion and is almost certainly a future WWE Hall Of Famer. As a musician, he is the frontman of Fozzy, which released its seventh full-length album, "Judas," last year. As an author, he has written four best-selling memoirs (including 2017's "No Is A Four Letter Word"). And all of this is without factoring in Jericho’s success as an actor, podcaster, television host, or "Dancing With The Stars" contestant. Coming up in October 2018, Jericho will be hosting the inaugural cruise known as Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager. I spoke with Chris Jericho in September 2017 by phone, and highlights from that chat can be heard on the Paltrocast. More on Chris Jericho can be found online at www.chrisjericho.com.

09 Aug 2021 | Trevor Moore -- Recorded in June 2021 -- R.I.P. Trevor | 00:25:23
Millions of people first learned about Trevor Moore as a founding member and the leader of the sketch comedy group The Whitest Kids U’ Know. The troupe’s self-titled sketch show ran for 5 seasons on IFC and its videos have accumulated over 100 million views on YouTube. Moore went on to release 2 solo comedy specials with Comedy Central, his debut comedy music album "Drunk Texts To Myself" and his 2018 special and album "The Story Of Our Times." Moore’s relationship with Comedy Central recently continued with Season 2 of his Comedy Central digital series "The Trevor Moore Show." Those accolades shown above were far from all Trevor Moore accomplished within entertainment. With Adam Small he co-created the Disney Channel shows "Just Roll With It" and "Walk The Prank," also having directed multiple episodes of both programs. Moore’s IMDb credits also included other work as a producer and composer, so one can only imagine how many simultaneous projects Moore had going on as a star, producer and/or writer at any given time. On June 23, 2021, I spoke with Trevor Moore via Zoom, about 6 weeks before his tragic, untimely passing. This was one of my favorite interview experiences of recent memory, and Moore also took the time to speak with me post-interview and write to me afterwards to thank me. This one hits hard, to say the least. |
