11 Oct 2022Tina Charad: the magical & the mundane00:29:32

LA-based designer Tina Charad has worked on some of the biggest blockbuster films you could probably think of, including 'The Batman,' 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood,' 'Blonde,' 'Avengers: Infinity War,' 'La La Land,' 'Maleficent,' 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' to name but a few, and she’s most recently worked on 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,' and Marvel’s 'Werewolf by Night.'

But, despite her impressive list of credits, Tina is not one to self-aggrandise. Instead, Tina talks to Stephen about the realities of her job - that it’s as much mundane as it is magical - and how she feels the glamour of the movies often disguises the reality of making them.

Tina tells us about her move from the UK to the US, from advertising to filmmaking, and offers her straightforward advice to any designers considering a similar change in their career.
