05 Oct 2022Seravalli's Trade Targets & Bold Predictions - OilersNation Everyday October 5th00:30:38

The Edmonton Oilers are back in action tonight against division rivals the Vancouver Canucks, but this time they are in Abbotsford, British Colombia. That is where today's episode of OilersNation Everyday began with Tyler Yaremchuk previewing the game. Vancouver is playing a much stronger lineup with JT Miller, Quinn Hughes and Thatcher Demko amongst the regular NHLers expected to play. As for the Oilers, Stuart Skinner gets the start for Edmonton with an expected blueline in front of him. Tyler pointed out three things he is looking for in tonight's game, including Dylan Holloway's performance on the timeline alongside Connor McDavid.

Following the preview, Liam Horrobin joined the show to give his bold predictions ahead of the 2022-23 NHL season. Liam believes that we could see a big season for one of the Oilers young defencemen.

Shortly after, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff made his first appearance on the show. He talked about his own bold predictions from an article he released over on DailyFaceoff.com. Frank also spoke about the Oilers extending Evan Bouchard and the future of both Jesse Puljujarvi and Warren Foegele.

06 Oct 2022Who will make the Oilers cut? - OilersNation Everyday October 5th00:30:36

Last night, the Oilers and Canucks made preseason as thrilling as it can be with a 5-4 overtime game. Unfortunately, Edmonton came out on the wrong side of that game but Connor McDavid still managed to wow us all once again. Of course, McDavid's spot on this roster is firmly secured; however, there are still a few players hoping that crack the NHL squad this season. There are question marks at the bottom of the blue line and also in the Oilers top six. Who will take those spots?

Brock Seguin from DailyFaceoff.com joins the show today to talk everything fantasy hockey. He'll tell us his favourite sleeper picks for the year, who to stay away from and much more.

Finally, on yesterday's show, Frank Seravalli mentioned that talks between Edmonton and Evan Bouchard on a contract extension have not begun, yet. Once they do begin, how much should we expect that contract to be?

You can expect all of that and more on OilersNation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk.

07 Oct 2022Trade Targets & Why BaggedMilk loves preseason - OilersNation Everyday October 6th00:29:04

We have finally made it to the last game of the preseason schedule! Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers host the Seattle Kraken at Rogers Place with many players still having much to play for. A surprising talent that is still around is James Hamblin. Hamblin is a hometown kid the Oilers signed as an undrafted free agent out of the WHL a few years ago. Now, he's battling for a spot on the NHL roster with chance to prove everyone wrong again.

One player that isn't with the Oilers anymore is Jake Virtanen. Last night, Virtanen was released from his professional tryout contract after playing five preseason games with them. We'll have Baggedmilk on the show today to talk about that decision and also on how much he loves preseason hockey.

Also on today's show, Tyler will talk about some possible trade targets for the Oilers later on in the season and Liam gives out some Betway picks for tonight's game.

11 Oct 2022It's regular season eve! - OilersNation Everyday October 11th00:29:32

It was the night before the regular season and all was well in Oil Country. Expectations are high after a tremendous 2021-22 campaign, which saw the Edmonton Oilers make it to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2006. While it did not go as planned getting swept four games to zero by the Colorado Avalanche, it set up what looks to be a promising future.

The Vancouver Canucks are the Oilers first opponents, a team they faced twice in the preseason. Over the weekend, Ken Holland and Jay Woodcroft made their final roster decisions with the most intriguing being the decision to send Philip Broberg down and keep Markus Niemelainen. What does this mean for Broberg? What is his future look like with the organization?

The Oilers also made a trade that saw Dmitri Samourkov move to the St Louis Blues for former first round pick Klim Kostin. We'll take about the trade on today's show and why we believe this happened.

Finally, Tyler Yaremchuk will be joined by Zach Laing from OilersNation. They'll talk about the final roster, players in Bakersfield ready to make an impact and the Pacific Division.

13 Oct 2022Can Connor McDavid Score 50? - OilersNation Everyday October 13th00:29:44

To nobody's surprise, Connor McDavid did it again last night. The Edmonton Oilers captain led the way for his team, who found themselves down 3-0 early in the second, with the 11th hat trick of his career. Now, it begs the question, does McDavid score 50 or more goals this season?

Other storylines coming from last night's win over Vancouver were the Oilers poor start and the performance from newcomer Jack Campbell and Dylan Holloway's first NHL game. We got all that and more on today's episode of OilersNation Everyday.

Joining the show for the first time was OilersNation's very own Jason Gregor. Gregor gave his take on the Oilers overall game, the defensive pairings, and the question of the day, can McDavid hit 50 goals?

In the wrap, Tyler Yaremchuk welcomed Liam Horrobin into the show to give his Betway Picks of the Day from the NHL. And then, finally, Tyler gave his thoughts on the Canucks fans complaining about missed calls in the game despite having eight powerplays themselves.

14 Oct 2022Lets Not Overreact - OilersNation Everyday October 14th00:29:58

The first edition of the Battle of Alberta is one sleep away for Edmonton Oilers fans. Unfortunately, it’ll be the only matchup between the two provincial rivals at Rogers Place this season. Both Edmonton and Calgary are off to winning starts with two come-from-behind victories.

Also on the show, we’ll go over early-season overreactions. Will the Arizona Coyotes go 0-82? Or will the Edmonton Oilers go 82-0? However, the biggest overreaction was Evander Kane’s pass on the empty net to Connor McDavid. We also covered trade targets for Ken Holland on the blue line and looked at who might be available to fill the need. Could John Klingberg be a target if they can figure out the contract? Or do they look for a cheaper option in Nick Holden or Scott Mayfield?

Joining the show later ahead of the matchup is OilersNation Baggedmilk for the Bro Down. Finally, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will give picks for tonight’s NHL action along with some football picks.

Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk on Oilersnation Everyday at noon mountain on The Nation Network YouTube page. You can also view the show on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has streamed live, you can find it on all your podcast providers.

17 Oct 2022Why the Oilers lost the Battle of Alberta - Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk October 17th00:29:20

Saturday night did not go as planned for the Edmonton Oilers. After 12 minutes, they found themselves down 4-1 and their new goaltender was sat on the bench after a disappointing performance. The good news is that Stuart Skinner looked solid in relief and the Oilers found a way to make it a game. The other bad news is that the Oilers were down by three goals for the second game in a row.

This leaves Oilers fans asking plenty of questions. Is Jack Campbell truly the answer between the pipes? Is this blueline good enough to win a Stanley Cup? Should Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid always be the go-to answer?

Making his first appearance on Oilersnation Everyday was Cooomzy. He joined Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin to answer all of those questions. To close out the show, Tyler and Liam recapped their weekend of betting in both the NHL and NFL. Then finally, they gave out some picks for tonight’s NHL action.

18 Oct 2022Looking for a bounceback | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 18th00:29:42

The Edmonton Oilers will be looking for a better result tonight as they continue their home stand versus the Buffalo Sabres. This will be the Sabres' one and only visit to Rogers Place this season and the first time since March 2021. In their last trip to Edmonton, the Oilers scored six and Mike Smith was strong between the pipes allowing one goal on 26 shots. Buffalo has started the season well with a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators and then losing by one versus Florida. Both teams are well rested after last playing on Saturday night.

Heading into this matchup, what is one thing you want to see from the Oilers tonight, besides victory? Do you want to see a better 5 v 5 performance? Perhaps more from the Oilers' blueline? Tyler Yaremchuk covers this and more answers, which came from today's chat.

Jay Downton joins the show for the Sherwood Ford Giant Pre Game show. He will give us his take on the Battle of Alberta and then what he expects from tonight's action. As always, he will come prepared with his picks, courtesy of Betway, and as we know, you can guarantee some good vibes.

19 Oct 2022How do you lose to Buffalo? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 1900:28:33

Well, it is safe to say the start to the season hasn't gone as planned for the Edmonton Oilers. They are now sitting with a record of 1-2-0 following last nights loss to the Buffalo Sabres. It wasn't all doom and gloom for Edmonton who out-chanced the Sabres heavily. However, they are struggling to score goals and five on five and giving up too many grade a chances. So what needs to change?

Joining the show, like he does every Wednesday, is Frank Seravalli from DailyFaceoff.com. He will talk about the Oilers recent run of form, give us an update from around the NHL and also fill us in on what happened at the NHL meetings this week.

Finally, at the end of the show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will give out their picks for tonight's Wednesday night NHL slate.

20 Oct 2022Are the Oilers getting unlucky? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk October 20th00:28:12

It has been a rocky start to the 2022-23 season for the Edmonton Oilers. With losses to the Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabres, they now sit one game below 500 three games into the season. They have a chance to get back to level playing ground tonight when they host the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes have had a perfect start to the season with wins over the Columbus Blue Jackets, San Jose Sharks and Seattle Kraken. They have also outscored their opponents 11 to 3. Tonight is a tough match for the Oilers who have struggled to start games allowing the other team to score first in all three games. However, have the Oilers been a little unlucky to start the year? They had some tough breaks against Calgary, the Brett Kulak fall, and then ran into a hot goaltender versus Buffalo in Eric Comrie. Perhaps tonight is the night that misfortune changes.

Like every game day, Jay Downton joins the show for the Sherwood Ford Giant Pre Game Show. He will give us his take on what he thought of the team's last performance, what he expects to see tonight and of course some betting talk. You can expect all of that and more on Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk.

21 Oct 2022The Nuge Is Back | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk October 2100:29:44

The Edmonton Oilers had a huge win last night against another Stanley Cup contender. The Oilers put six past the Carolina Hurricanes, who have only conceded three goals in three games heading into the contest.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a big game for the Oilers scoring a goal and three assists in the victory. That's now five points in two games for the former first-overall pick.

Like every Friday, Baggedmilk joins Tyler Yaremchuk on the show for the Bro Down.

22 Oct 2022Looking to make it two in a row! | OilersNation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 22nd00:31:32

The Edmonton Oilers had a big win on Thursday night beating the Caroline Hurricanes, who were undefeated heading into that game. Edmonton got goals from Zach Hyman, Connor McDavid, Evander Kane, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan McLeod and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who finished with four points on the night. While they may have allowed four goals against, Jack Campbell was good for the Oilers making countless stops to keep the Canes at bay.

Tonight, they will face another Stanley Cup contender in the St Louis Blues. The Blues have only played twice so far this season, but do remain undefeated after wins over the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Seattle Kraken. On this show, Tyler Yaremchuk, Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin preview this afternoon's matchup down at Rogers Place. They talked about what to expect from the Blues, ways the Oilers can win the game, and there thoughts on if Campbell can have his best game yet in Copper and Blue. Also, at the end of the show, they gave a little betting preview, courtesy of our friends at Betway.

You can hear all of that and more on today's gameday edition of Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk.

24 Oct 2022McDavid vs Crosby | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 24th00:28:42

The Edmonton Oilers' offense went dry on Saturday afternoon getting shut out by the St Louis Blues. An early goal from Torey Krug on the powerplay gave the Blues the lead and then Justin Faulk sealed the victory with an empty net goal. That is all of the offense St Louis needed to takedown Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.

Tonight, the Oilers will look to bounce back and get the offense following again when they welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins to town. The Penguins have not lost a game in regulation to start the season and have had 14 different players find the back of the night. Pittsburgh play-by-play voice, Josh Getzoff joined Oilersnation Everyday to fill us in on how the Penguins season has been going.

Like every Oilers gameday, Jay Downton joined the cast for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show and also dropped his Betway bets for tonight's action. Plus, he gave his thoughts on the Oilers matinee loss to the St Louis Blues.

25 Oct 2022Leon's Night | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 25th00:27:47

Leon Draisaitl lead the way for the Edmonton Oilers last night versus the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 6-3 victory. The Oilers forward registered his first three point night of the season in a game where they really needed him to step up. Edmonton also got great performances from Evander Kane, Evan Bouchard and Jack Campbell, which will all be discussed on today's show.

Another player that performed well, like he has all season long, was Brett Kulak. At five on five, Kulak has been a rock for the Oilers, and today he will get the credit he deserves.

Joining Oilersnation Everyday for the first time is Oilersnation senior writer Robin Brownlee. We'll talk to Brownlee about last night's game, the Oilers performances to start the season and other individuals on the team.

You can hear all of that and more on Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk.

26 Oct 2022Getting set for a big road trip | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 26th00:28:10

After a six game homestand to begin the season, the Edmonton Oilers get on a plane and head south for a couple of games, before coming back to play Calgary on Saturday. First up is the St Louis Blues, who almost sent Rogers Place to sleep last Saturday. The Blues came away with a 2-0 win that afternoon thanks to a powerplay goal from Torey Krug and an empty netter from Justin Faulk to seal it. The Oilers will look for redemption tonight, but what they do need to do to achieve that goal?

Like every game day, Jay Downton joined the show for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show. He laid out his thoughts on the Oilers performance versus the Pittsburgh Penguins, and then into what he wants to see tonight against St Louis.

Later in the show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joined us for his insider segment. Tyler Yaremchuk asked him about the possibility of the Chicago Blackhawks trading either Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane to Edmonton. They then dove into other topics around the league like the Vancouver Canucks losing streak and Arizona Coyotes new arena.

27 Oct 2022Looking for three in a row! | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 27th00:27:04

The Edmonton Oilers won a tight game last night, 3-1, against the St Louis Blues. Stuart Skinner led the way for Edmonton in his second start of the season, the third appearance, with 37 saves in the victory. The Oilers got goal contributions from Jesse Puljujarvi (his first of the season), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Zach Hyman. That was the Oilers first road game of the season, meaning it was their first road win too.

They will look for another road victory tonight when they go head-to-head with the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago has had a strong start to the season, which was unexpecting considering the strength of their roster. They are 4-2-0 making tonight's game a more difficult test than first imagined.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton previewed tonight's game on the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show. They discussed the Oilers lineup, the former Edmonton players in Chicago and also some possible contract extensions. Finally, Liam Horrobin joined the show for the Betway Bets of the Day.

28 Oct 2022McDavid Comes Through | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 28th00:26:47

Last night's game in Chicago was a strange one, but the Edmonton Oilers managed to find a way. Leon Draisaitl fired home the game winner with 48 seconds left to give Edmonton a 6-5 win for their third victory in a row. Zach Hyman, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and a hat trick from Connor McDavid provided the other goals on the night.

The biggest talking point from the game was a goal that did not count. Evander Kane's goal in the second period was called back for goaltender interference. The goal was initially called a good goal on the ice but then was overturned by the officials. The moment has led to many conversations in the city today.

Like every Friday, Baggedmilk joined Oilersnation Everyday for the Bro Down. He spoke about that moment with Kane, how well Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has played this season and his overall thoughts from last night's game.

Tyler Yaremchuk covers all of that and more on today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday.

31 Oct 2022The Oilers are playing spooky good! | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 31st00:33:28

Spooky season is upon us but there is nothing scary about the Edmonton Oilers' recent run of performances. After splitting the first six games of the season at home, the Oilers went on the road and beat the St Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, and Calgary Flames. They are now on a four-game winning streak with back-to-back games coming up at home versus the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars.

Any question mark around the team right now revolved around the goaltending. Jack Campbell has been solid for this team but rookie Stuart Skinner has been excellent for them with a 1.79 goals-against average and a 0.955 save percentage in four games. Skinner may have now forced the hand of the staff to make him the starter moving forward.

Also on the show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin got into the Halloween spirit with a Trick or Treat segment. They went back and forth on which teams/players have been treats to start the year and who has tricked us. Finally, to close out the show, the boys gave out their Betway picks of the day ahead of tonight's NHL action.

01 Nov 2022The Mayor of Smashville | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 100:26:49

Leon Draisaitl has found a way to take to the Nashville Predators every time he goes up against them. The Oilers star has 16 points in his last six games against Nashville, therefore, making him the Mayor of Smashville. In his career, he has 25 points (19 goals, 6 assists) in 20 games and he will look to extend that tally tonight when the Oilers host the Predators at Rogers Place. Edmonton will also look for their fifth win in a row in their return to home ice.

On the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton get you all set up for the action on the ice. They discussed the Oilers projected lineup, Jack Campbell starting between the pipes, and the usage of Dylan Holloway.

Later in the show, Liam Horrobin joins for the Betway Bets of the Day. After going two for two last night, he gave out two more picks for tonight's Oilers matchup. Tyler and Jay then chimed in with their picks, which included a bet for Mr Foegoal.

02 Nov 2022Leon & The Oilers Hit Five | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 200:32:11

The polls are closed and the votes have been counted and we can proudly say that Leon Draisaitl is still the Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee. Last night, Draisaitl put on a clinic in the Edmonton Oilers 7-4 win over the Nashville Predators putting together a five-point night. The Oilers also got big contributions from Connor McDavid, with two goals and two assists, and Evander Kane, who scored his first hat trick of the season. With the win, Edmonton has now extended their win streak to five with the New Jersey Devils coming into town next.

One talking point from last night was the play by Jack Campbell. Again, Campbell delivered a subpar performance statistically; however, when you see the goals he allowed there aren't many goaltenders in the NHL that would've made those saves. Is this now a case of Campbell still adjusting to playing in Edmonton or do the Oilers need to play hard in front of him?

Like every Wednesday, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joined Oilersnation Everyday and gave us an update on what is going on around the NHL. He spoke about McDavid's race to 50, the Oilers goaltending and also the coaching situations in Toronto and Nashville.

03 Nov 2022Going for Six Wins & Smytty's big night | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 300:31:42

It is a special night in Oil Country with the first two inductees of the Edmonton Oilers Hall of Fame going in tonight. A ceremony will take place before the puck drop honouring the careers of Ryan Smyth and Lee Fogolin with the Edmonton Oilers. On today's show, we spoke about what the two of them meant to the Oilers during their times here and how deserving they both are of this honour. Additionally, we asked the audience who they would like to see in next year's class and gave our take on who we think could be honoured next.

Of course, there is also a game tonight. The Oilers look for their sixth straight win when they host the New Jersey Devils. The Devils have been one of the surprise teams this season with a 7-3-0 record to start the year. They have a lot of talent with Jesper Bratt, Jack Hughes and Dougie Hamilton, who they paid big money for a couple of summers ago, all off to promising starts. Tyler Yaremchuk goes in on what to expect from this Devils team and is also joined by Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin.

04 Nov 2022You Won't Win Every Night | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 400:32:03

The Edmonton Oilers five-win streak came to end last night at Rogers Place. A seven second collapse in the third period saw the team fall 4-3 to the New Jersey Devils. However, it is not all doom and gloom in Oil Country. There were plenty of moments in that game that were positive which they can take into Saturday's matchup versus the Dallas Stars.

On Oilersnation Everyday, we'll cover what happened in last night's action and answer some of the questions lingering in people's minds, like how the Oilers should handle rookie forward Dylan Holloway.

Like everyFriday, Baggedmilk joins the show for the Bro Down. He will give us his take on the Oilers recent run along with much money.

To close out the show, Tyler and Liam Horrobin with some betting talk courtesy of our friends at Betway. They gave out their picks for this evening's lone NHL game between the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes, along with some picks from Sunday's NFL action.

05 Nov 2022Getting Back On Track | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 5th00:34:04

The Edmonton Oilers are back in action this afternoon versus the Dallas Stars. They are coming off their first loss in five games after dropping a 4-3 decision to the New Jersey Devils. The Oilers had the game in the palm of their hands but a quick seven second collapse saw the game slip away from them.

It will be the Dallas Stars next for Edmonton as they look to get back in the win column. Dallas has had a good start to the season with a record of 7-3-1 and key wins against the Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitals and the Winnipeg Jets. However, Dallas will be without star goaltender Jake Oettinger who is sidelined with an injury.

Like every game, Jay Downton joins the Oilersnation Everyday cast for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show. He will help get you all set up for this afternoon's action along with Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin.

07 Nov 2022The Roadie Begins + Ryan Holt from the Bakersfield Condors | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 7th00:32:32

The Edmonton Oilers three game home stand did not go as planned. After beating the Nashville Predators earlier in the week, a seven second blunder prevented them from beating the New Jersey Devils and then a lacklustre performance versus Dallas Stars gave the Oilers a 1-2-0 record at home.

Now, Connor McDavid and the Oilers look to get back in the win column when they take on the Washington Capitals tonight. The Caps have struggled to find consistency for much of the season and head into this game on a four game losing streak.

Also on the show, we will be joined by Ryan Holt from the Bakersfield Condors. Holt is here to give us an update on what has been going on down in California. He talked about the Condors recent run of wins, the play of first rounder Xavier Bourgault along with other players like Michael Kesselring, Carter Savoie and Philip Broberg.

To close out the show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin talked about their favourite Connor McDavid goals ahead of his 500th game tonight.

08 Nov 2022The PK Killer | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 8th00:31:54

The Edmonton Oilers dropped their third game in a row last night, and their first on the road this season. A 5-4 decision versus the Washington Capitals now leaves the Oilers with a 7-6-0 record to begin the season. The team has struggled to find much consistency and the penalty kill has played a massive role in that.

Tonight, the Oilers look to bounce back against the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have been to the last three Stanley Cup Finals. What do they do have success tonight in Tampa Bay? The obvious answer is to be better on the penalty kill and stay out of the box.

Like every Oilers gameday, Jay Downton joins us on Oilersnation Everyday for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show. He will help us recap last night's defeat and then look ahead to what is to come tonight.

You can expect all of that and more on Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk.

09 Nov 2022A massive two points | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 900:29:11

Boy oh boy, did the Edmonton Oilers ever did that win last night versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 3-2 over the Eastern Conference Champions ended a three game losing streak for Edmonton and put them back two games over .500. However, it was not just about the two points for Edmonton last night, the performance as a whole was positive in many ways with players throwing the monkeys away and the special teams showing up.

Unfortunately, it was not all positive with Evander Kane leaving the game with a devastating injury. After making contact with Patrick Maroon's skate, Kane rushed to the bench with a forearm injury that could leave him out of the lineup for a while. Our thoughts are with Kane and wish him a speedy recovery.

Joining the show for his weekly appearance is Frank Seravalli from dailyfaceoff.com. He will give us an update of what is going on around the NHL and the Edmonton Oilers.

10 Nov 2022Looking For Two In A Row | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 1000:31:58

The Edmonton Oilers are looking for back-to-back wins tonight versus the Carolina Hurricanes. So Far on there four game road trip, the Oilers dropped 5-4 decision versus the Washington Capitals but then bounced back in a big way with a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. They get promising performances from Warren Foegele, who scored his first of the season, and Jack Campbell, who had arguably there best start in an Oilers jersey.

The task does not get much easier tonight heading into Raleigh. Carolina is coming back home after losing last night to the Florida Panthers. Could this be an opportunity for the Oilers to strike on a disappointed Canes team?

Unfortunately, Edmonton will be without Evander Kane after he suffered an injury versus the Lightning the other night. With the extra cap space, Ken Holland was able to recall Klim Kostin and Mattias Janmark. We will talk about the impact they could have on the roster on the show.

Join us for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show in Jay Downton. He will give us his take on the Oilers recent run, get you prepared for tonight's action and also give out some of his bets.

12 Nov 2022Hunting Panthers | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 1200:33:01

It has been a tough road trip for the Edmonton Oilers. They only have one with on this road trip versus the Tampa Bay Lightning and have suffered two losses to the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Washington Capitals. On top of that, Evander Kane is out long term and Kailer Yamamoto is back in Edmonton getting reevaluated for an injury. On the bright side, they have a game this afternoon against the Florida Panthers giving them a chance to put all the doubters to bed.

The Panthers have an 8-5-1 record and are looking for their third win in a row after beating Carolina and the Anaheim Ducks. Spencer Knight is the confirmed starter for this afternoon as he searches for his sixth win of the season.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will get you all set for today's matchup on the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show.

14 Nov 2022Good Or Bad Road Trip? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 1400:30:55

The Edmonton Oilers their four game road trip with a 4-2 victory over the Florida Panthers. Warren Foegele scored the game winner in the third period with the other two goals coming from Tyson Barrie (twice) and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Stuart Skinner was fantastic for the Oilers stopping 40 of 42 shots, including 20 in the first period.

It was an up-and-down road trip for Edmonton, to say the least. They had two good wins over Tampa Bay and Florida; however, they lost in poor fashion to both the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals. After everything that happened, should this road trip be viewed as a negative or a positive for this team?

Joining us on Oilersnation Everyday for his inaugural appearance is Connor Halley from TSN 1260. We will talk to Connor about the Oilers road trip, and the team's goaltending situation and get his thoughts on the Oilers new reverse retro jerseys.

17 Nov 2022Was the Edler hit dirty? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 1700:42:02

The Edmonton Oilers lost narrowly to the LA Kings last night at Rogers Place; however, that is not the story that is making the headline. Oilers star forward Connor McDavid took a knee-on-knee hit from Kings defenceman Alex Edler, who received a two-minute penalty on the player. When Zach Hyman was on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edler did the same thing, which put Hyman out of the lineup for two months and received a two-game suspension. Despite having a history of this, the NHL player safety department today that the Kings defenceman would not receive more discipline for the collision. Do you agree or disagree with the league's decision?

Also, on the show, we will talk about the game itself and what the Oilers did right and wrong. Then, later on, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joins us to discuss the hit and some possible defensive upgrades for Edmonton.

18 Nov 2022A big weekend ahead | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 1800:34:41

The Edmonton Oilers are back on the ice tomorrow night versus the Vegas Golden Knights, the top team in the Pacific Division. The Oilers have struggled to find consistency since winning five in a row; however, they have had big wins this season versus top teams like the Tampa Bay Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers. Could this be another night when they step up their game?

On the show yesterday, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff was on the show. He suggested that acquiring a defenceman is not a priority for Ken Holland and his staff right now.  If that is the case, then who could be a target for this team?

Like every Friday, Baggedmilk will join Tyler Yaremchuk for the Bro Down. They will talk about the Oilers matchup versus the Vegas Golden Knights along with a question that Baggedmilk asked his listeners on Better Lait Than Never earlier this week.

19 Nov 2022Bring On The Knights | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 1900:40:40

The Edmonton Oilers finish up their two-game home stand tonight versus the Pacific Division leaders, the Vegas Golden Knights. This is the first meeting between the two rivals with the Golden Knights coming into Rogers Place off the back of a 4-1 over the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday. Unfortunately for the Oilers, they will be looking to get in the win column again after losing 3-1 to the LA Kings on Wednesday.

Edmonton made some changes to their lineup in practice yesterday putting Mattias Janmark on the top line with Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman. Additionally, Ken Holland recalled Brad Malone from the Bakersfield Condors, who has played two games in the NHL this season. Tyler, Jay and Liam will talk about the lineup decision and the recall of Malone on today's Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre-Game Show.

21 Nov 2022Looking To End The Streak | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 2100:44:30

The Edmonton Oilers grabbed themselves a massive win on Saturday night, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights in overtime. It was the Oilers first trip to overtime in the 2022-23 season and with it came another highlight reel goal from Connor McDavid. The depth scoring also showed for the home team with Warren Foegele getting the first goal of the game and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins finishing with three assists. Between the pipes, rookie goaltender Stuart Skinner stayed hot, making 31 saves on 34 shots.

Tonight, it does not get any easier for Skinner and the Oilers as they visit the New Jersey Devils, the top team in the Metropolitan Division. Only a couple of weeks ago, the Devils came to Rogers Places and beat Edmonton 4-3, after scoring two goals in seven seconds in the third period. The Oilers will look to redeem themselves from that defeat.

Like every Oilers game day, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will be joined by Jay Downton for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre-Game Show. On today's show, the three of them will recap Saturday night's victory over the Golden Knights, what they need to accomplish tonight in order to win, and the decision between the pipes for Edmonton.

22 Nov 2022The Road Trip Starts With an L | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 2200:45:12

Last night, the Edmonton Oilers could not find a way to end the New Jersey Devils' win streak falling 5-2 to the Metropolitan Division leaders. The score line did not look good for the Oilers; however, it was not all doom and gloom. We will get into why there are positives to take away from last night on Oilersnation Everyday.

Stuart Skinner had a difficult night between the pipes, arguably the only time he has underperformed this season. Is it time to turn back to Jack Campbell on Wednesday versus the New York Islanders?

Also, on the show, Tyler Yaremchuk will talk about Evan Bouchard and Ryan McLeod's development and how it is not always a straight line. Additionally, we will get into the Oilers lineup decisions for their game on Wednesday as the road trip continues. Finally, Cam Lewis from Oilersnation will join the show for his second appearance.

23 Nov 2022Oilers vs Islanders + trade talks with Frank | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 2300:29:43

The Edmonton Oilers have been consistently inconsistent since losing to the New Jersey Devils at Rogers Place on November 3rd. They struggle to put wins together; however, they are not staying in the loss column for long. It is a streak they will want to break out of, and tonight they will have a chance to gain two more points against the New York Islanders.

To get your prepared for tonight's action on the ice, Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton will be around for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show. They will discuss what the Oilers need to do to win in New York, the lineup decisions, and the debate on who should start between the pipes.

Yesterday, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff released his top 20 trade board from around the NHL, which included Jonathan Toews, Bo Horvat and Erik Karlsson. Today, he will join Tyler and Jay on the show to discuss his trade board and which ones could be possible targets for the Edmonton Oilers.

24 Nov 2022Not Good Enough | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 2400:30:42

Last night, the Edmonton Oilers could not find a way by Ilya Sorokin after firing 49 shots at the New York Islanders. At the other end of the ice, they could not help out their goaltending, Jack Campbell, who was not at fault for last night's loss. Edmonton is now 0-2-0 on their three-game road trip, with the New York Rangers next up on Saturday. Tyler Yaremchuk will cover everything that happened in last night's loss in Long Island.

Following 60 minutes of action yesterday, the Oilers hit the 20-game mark and now sit at 500 and outside of a playoff spot at American Thanksgiving. The stats say that teams outside of a playoff spot at this date have a 23% chance of making the postseason. With that said, Tyler graded each player from a passing to need to better. Be sure to give us your take on each player as we review them on the show.

Liam Horrobin will chime in to close out the show with his Betway bets of the day.

25 Nov 2022Does Philip Broberg Help? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 2500:32:16

It has been a spicy week for the Edmonton Oilers, but not in a good way. After losing to the New York Islanders on Wednesday, fans were left frustrated with the performances this team has been putting out on the ice. Now, with the New York Rangers coming up on Saturday, a team that also went to the final four last season, how will the Oilers respond?

One change that was made today was recalling Philip Broberg, their first-round pick from 2019, from the Bakersfield Condors and sending down Markus Niemelainen. Broberg was called up earlier in the season but did not play before being sent down again. In the American Hockey League this season, the Swedish defenceman has dressed in seven games scoring twice and collecting four points. Is Broberg the solution to the team's blueline woes? We want to hear your thoughts on the decision.

Like every Friday, Baggedmilk will join Oilersnation Everyday to discuss the decision to call up Broberg and also about the team's recent run of games.

29 Nov 2022Bad & Bouchie | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 2900:38:17

The Edmonton Oilers left it late yesterday against the Florida Panthers but still managed to come away victorious. Evan Bouchard blasted a one-timer passed Spencer Knight, who was excellent for Florida, to tie the game up at three with five seconds left. Then, Leon Draisaitl ended the extra frame quickly to give the Oilers the two points and their first win streak since their five-game streak was ended by the New Jersey Devils.

Tyler Yaremchuk will recap everything that happened last night at Rogers Place on today's show. We will talk about how the Oilers came away with the victory, what we liked and did not like, and what to expect from their opponents on their upcoming road trip.

For the first time, Tab Bamford from Bleacher Nation will also join Tyler Yaremchuk on today's show. He will give us some insight on what to expect from the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow night on the road.

30 Nov 2022Three is the magic number | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 3000:37:56

It has been a tough November for the Edmonton Oilers; however, they have a chance tonight to come out at 500 on the month with a win over the Chicago Blackhawks. They will also be looking for their third win in a row after two come from behind victories over the New York Rangers and the Florida Panthers in the past week.

Tonight is the Oilers second visit to the United Centre after beating the Blackhawks 6-5 back on October 27th. Connor McDavid grabbed himself a hat trick that night, along with an assist for his second four point night at that point in the season.

Like every Edmonton Oilers game day, Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton will be around for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show, live from the Sports Closet studio. They will breakdown what the Oilers need to do to make it three wins in a row, as well as who Ken Holland and his staff could possibly be targeting from the Blackhawks.

01 Dec 2022Battle of the 97s | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 100:48:15

The Edmonton Oilers continue their road trip tonight and finish off a back-to-back set in Minnesota against the Wild. Tonight is the first meeting of a few in December versus the Wild as the oilers look to make it three wins in a row.

Last night, Edmonton looked comfortable for the majority of the game in Chicago, and led 4-1 late in the third period. However, a couple minutes of lacklustre plays exposed the team and soon Chicago found themselves back in the game at 4-3. Both teams would score again making 5-4, but a last second save from Stuart Skinner gave the Oilers the two points. Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton will react to last night's win along with giving their thoughts on tonights game versus the Wild.

They will also be joined by Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff, who will fill us in with all the news surrounding the team along with what is going on in the NHL.

02 Dec 2022No More Legs | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 200:43:26

Unfortunately, last night the Edmonton Oilers three game win streak came to an end. At one point, they did hold a 2-1 lead over the Minnesota Wild; however, the legs were not there for Edmonton, who fell 5-3. Despite scoring three goals, the team struggled to generate much offence, with only 11 shots through the first two periods.

Jack Campbell got the start yesterday and did not have one of his better performances. Is this loss on Campbell, or does the team need to improve defensively still in front of him?

Like every Friday, Baggedmilk joins Oilersnation Everyday for the Bro Down! If you have been keeping up with the Oilersnation antics this week, you will know that Baggedmilk and Tyler Yaremchuk have been beefing over the potential cancellation of the Beetcast. 05 Dec 2022Taking on Ovi & the Caps | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 500:49:52

It is a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday. Tyler Yaremchuk is back for another episode to get you prepared for tonight's game versus the Washington Capitals, along with Jay Downton.

Before they get into the action on the ice tonight, they will recap what went down at Rogers Place on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens. It was a different kind of game but the Oilers came out on top 5-3 to get back in the win column and they now have a record of 4-1-0 in their last five games.

Of course, we will be talking about Connor McDavid or as some people like to call him now "McPowerplay". There has been lots of chatter on the Twitterverse recently about how McDavid only scores points on the powerplay. While that may be the case, to an extent, Tyler wants to ask the question, what other player in the NHL can dominate the game like the Edmonton Oilers captain?

06 Dec 2022Thankful for Stuart Skinner | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 600:50:13

Well, last night was not a great performance from the Edmonton Oilers. If it was not for an outstanding game from Stuart Skinner, the Oilers would have been out of the game long before Nick Dowd scored the game winner in the third period. Edmonton's rookie goaltender made 47 saves and allowed three goals in a 3-2 defeat against the Washington Capitals. Washington is also a depleted team which makes the outcome that little bit worse.

Today on Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk will dig into last night's game. He will go over the positive and negative takeaways from a game in which the Oilers should have won heading into it. We also want to hear what you thought of the game. Head over to our YouTube page, The Nation Network, and drop your comments in the chat.

Throughout the show, Liam Horrobin will drop in and out to give his thoughts too. Then, during the wrap, the two of them will give out their Betway bets of the day for tonight's NHL slate.

07 Dec 2022Starting On Time | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 700:47:51

Tonight, the #EdmontonOilers take on the #ArizonaCoyotes down at Rogers Place, with the puck dropping around 7:37 pm. If somebody could now please inform the players that the game starts at that time, maybe the #Oilers can get out to a promising start against one of the worst teams in the #NHL. The game tonight feels very important for #Edmonton. They have been on a decent run recently; however, a loss to the #Coyotes, who are finishing a 14-game road trip, could prove to be deflating for this team.

Despite the loss on Monday versus the #WashingtonCapitals, there were a couple of big positives to take away from it. Of course, the play from rookie goaltender Stuart Skinner was a big one, making 47 saves on the night; however, it was another rookie that deserves praise too. Dylan Holloway had a fantastic take, and while he did not score, he was one of the few to impact the game. Could we possibly see his minutes elevated tonight?

Finally, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joins Oilersnation Everyday to talk about the #ErikKarlsson to Edmonton Rumours, along with other ways the Oilers could improve, Shane Wright, and much more.

08 Dec 2022Mr. Klim | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 800:32:49

Last night, the Edmonton Oilers came out and did exactly what they were supposed to do. They dominated the Arizona Coyotes, who were finishing a 14-game road trip, and had 12 different players collect points in an 8-2 victory. The two points mean the Oilers have now won five of their last seven games. Are they finally taking a turn for the better?

One notable performer was Klim Kostin, who is quickly becoming a fan favourite since being acquired from St Louis. Kostin finished the night with two points and also a fight after taking on league heavyweight, and former Oiler, Zack Kassian.

Before the action began on the ice, a story dropped yesterday about some comments that Jesse Puljujarvi to a journalist from Finland. The core of the story was that Puljujarvi is struggling and how he does not have the answer to break out of his slump. We will discuss the comments today on Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk.

09 Dec 2022A Wild Friday Night | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 900:55:53

The Edmonton Oilers let loose on Wednesday night putting eight by the Arizona Coyotes. They have now won five of their last seven games, and while most of them have not been pretty, they are finding a way to get the job done. Tonight, the Oilers will be looking for back-to-back wins when they host the travelling Minnesota Wild. It was only last week when they last faced the Wild. It did not go as planned that evening falling 5-3, despite having a 2-1 lead earlier in the game.

To help preview tonight's game, Tyler Yaremchuk, Jay Downton, and Liam Horrobin will be around for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show on Oilersnation Everyday. Baggedmilk is also going to join the three of them later on in the show for the Bro Down!

On today's show, they will also discuss the rumours surrounding Joel Edmundson and the price tag that comes with him. On top of that, they will talk about the lineup tonight and the possible return of Warren Foegele.

12 Dec 2022Let's Get Wild, Again | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 1200:37:34

The Edmonton Oilers did not play over the weekend for the first time all season. However, they did go into it with a big win on Friday night over the Minnesota Wild. The Oilers came away with a 5-2 victory over the Wild, which means they have now won five of their last seven games.

Tonight, Connor McDavid and the Oilers take on the Minnesota Wild for the third time in the last two weeks. Today's game will be the final meeting of the regular season between the two teams, so it is the series decider Xcel Energy Center.

13 Dec 2022The Mayor of Smashville | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 1300:40:43

The Edmonton Oilers lost a tight one last night on the road versus the Minnesota Wild. Their biggest struggle was generating offensive scoring chances, producing only 21 shots on goal. They did manage to get one by Marc-Andre Fleury, who was between the pipes for the Wild, when Zach Hyman banked home the rebound to tie the game up at one. Unfortunately for Edmonton, Frédérick Gaudreau scored the game winner for Minnesota in the second period to give them a 2-1 win.

Tonight, the Oilers will look to get back in the win column as they head to Nashville to take on the Predators. Of course, one storyline that rules them all when Edmonton faces Nashville is that Leon Draisaitl completely owns them. In 21 games, Draisaitl has 30 points, with 20 of those being goals. In their last game versus the Predators, the Oilers superstar had a five-point night with a goal and four assists.

We teased it yesterday, but today Jay Downton will join the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show live from Nashville. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will be around to prepare you for tonight's Oilers game.

14 Dec 2022Smashing Nashville | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 1400:41:34

Last night, Leon Draisaitl was re-elected as the Mayor of Smashville, after putting together his second five point game versus the Nashville Predators this season. The Oilers forward now had 35 points (22 goals, 13 assists) against the Predators in 21 career games, which is incredible. Draisaitl was not the only player to put up big numbers last night with Zach Hyman scoring his first career hat trick and Connor McDavid grabbing four points for himself.

It was not an ideal start between the pipes for Jack Campbell, who allowed the first shot of the game to beat him. However, the Oilers netminder bounced back making some big saves to finish with a .906 save percentage and his 8th win of the season.

On today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk will recap everything that happened in last night's 6-3 win over Nashville. He will talk about his three big takeaways from the game, along with that, a certain NHL general manager continues to watch Oilers games.

You can hear all of that and more on today's show, as well as, the guy's Betway Bets of the Day.

15 Dec 2022Back On Home Ice | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 1500:57:15

The Edmonton Oilers are back at Rogers Place tonight and, in their last few home games, things have started to get better for the Copper and Blue. The Oilers have won two in a row on home ice, and three of their last four, and tonight they will look to keep that home streak alive when they host the St Louis Blues.

The last time the Blues were in town it was a Saturday afternoon snooze fest. St Louis won the game 2-0 with one of those goals being an empty netter. Jack Campbell had a solid game that afternoon stopping 20 of 21 shots and finishing with a 0.952 save percentage. Despite that, Stuart Skinner gets the start between the pipes for Jay Woodcroft's Oilers.

Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff will join today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday. We will talk with him about the rumours surrounding Jesse Puljujarvi, updates on the NHL's salary cap and what is going to happen with Bo Horvat in Vancouver.

16 Dec 2022What happened last night? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 1600:50:55

The final 15 minutes of last night's hockey game were absolute chaos. Unfortunately for the Edmonton Oilers, it was not the good kind of chaos which sees them score late and collect the two points. Last night, everything went wrong for them, which resulted in the St Louis Blues going home with the win.

Of course, the big talking points were Darnell Nurse's turnover late, which turned into the game tying goal with 19 seconds left, and Leon Draisaitl's overtime goal, which was overturned for being offside. Today on Oilersnation Everyday, we will go deep into both of those situations and we want to hear your take on them both.

Like every Friday, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will be joined by Baggedmilk for the Bro Down. The three of them will talk about what happened last night at Rogers Place and give their take on what went wrong for the Oilers.

It was a game of mistakes by the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday which caused them to lose 4-3 to the Anaheim Ducks, a bottom dweller in the NHL. That is now two games in a row that the Oilers have shot themselves in the foot costing themselves two points.

20 Dec 2022Tough Loss In Music City | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 2000:53:24

The Nashville Predators handed the Edmonton Oilers their third loss in a row after Alexander Carrier scored the overtime winner. The Oilers have had a tough run recently, but it has not been due to being played out of the rink. The losses are coming from self-inflicted wounds, costing them two points.

On today's show, Tyler Yaremchuk will recap what happened in last night's loss on the road to the Predators. He will talk about his three big takeaways from the matchup, presented by Cornerstone Insurance, along with the play of Jack Campbell and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

Tom Gazzola will also stop by for his second visit to Oilersnation Everyday. With Tom, we will talk with him about the Oilers recent run of games, what Edmonton needs to do to win, and other hot topics surrounding the team.

At the show's end, Liam Horrobin will join and give out his Betway bets of the day for tonight's NHL slate.

21 Dec 2022Hunting For A Win | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 2100:46:10

Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers have a chance to put the last three games behind them when they take on the Dallas Stars. While the Oilers have struggled to find consistency all season, the Stars have been cruising at the top of the Central Division with a record of 19-8-6. Jason Robertson is their lead man, who is having a career season with 47 points (24 goals, 23 assists) in 33 games this season.

On today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk, Jay Downton will join the show for the Sherwood FORD Giant Pre Game Show. They will breakdown what the Oilers need to do to grab the two points tonight in their keys to victory.

Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff will also join the show for his weekly segment. They will talk to him about some possible trade targets for the Edmonton Oilers, including Vladislav Gavrikov from the Columbus Blue Jackets. 22 Dec 2022Stars Align In Dallas | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 2200:53:10

The Edmonton Oilers snapped their three game losing streak last night, defeating the Dallas Stars 6-3 on the road. Many mistakes have cost the Oilers wins recently; however, last night's game was one of their best of the season. Edmonton shook up the lines separating Leon Draisaitl, Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman from the top line. With that, Jay Woodcroft's men showed up with eleven players contributing to the scoring.

The biggest stands were the line of Mattias Janmark, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Klim Kostin. The three of them combined for eight points on the night, with three of them being goals. Could this be a dangerous line moving forward for Edmonton? We'll talk about it on today's show along with how the other three lines worked out.

Tyler Yaremchuk will also give out his three big takeaways from last night's victory, presented by Cornerstone Insurance. If you want to hear them talk about your biggest takeaway then be sure to leave your comment in the YouTube chat.

23 Dec 2022Back On Home Ice | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 2301:00:12

While the Oilersnation staff were at SOHO celebrating Christmas on Wednesday, the Edmonton Oilers put together arguably their best performance of the season. They were on the road versus the Dallas Stars, who sit atop of the Central Division, and managed to come from behind three times to win the game 6-3. Jay Woodcroft shook up the lines, splitting up Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman, and it worked perfectly.

Tonight, the Oilers are back on home ice to faceoff against the Vancouver Canucks, who they haven't played since their season opener. The Canucks did win last night versus the Seattle Kraken; however, in their previous two games, they were defeated 5-1 on both occasions by the St Louis Blues and the Winnipeg Jets.

With that, today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday will be a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game edition. Jay Downton will be around with Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin to preview the action down at Rogers Place.

Also, like he does every Friday, Baggedmilk joins the show for the Bro Down! We'll chat with him about his boy Ryan Nugent-Hopkins plus much more surrounding the Edmonton Oilers.

27 Dec 2022Bring On The BOA | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 2700:37:15

Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk is back from a quick break away for Christmas. We hope you all had a Merry Christmas with your families and thank you for coming back to the show.

Unfortunately, the Edmonton Oilers did not bring some holiday cheer to homes in the capital city, after dropping a 5-2 decision to the Vancouver Canucks. The worst part about it all was that they had a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. It quickly all fell apart for the Oilers as they now sit in 4th in the Pacific Division. What went wrong? Tyler will talk about it on today's show.

30 Dec 2022A Divisional Matchup With Seattle | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 3000:28:40

The Edmonton Oilers returned from their brief Christmas break with a huge 2-1 win over provincial rivals the Calgary Flames. Stuart Skinner was outstanding for the Oilers stopping 46 of 47 shots for his 11th win of the season, and second against Calgary.

Tonight, the Oilers look for back-to-back wins against a Pacific Division rival, when they take on the Seattle Kraken. Edmonton and Seattle are yet to face one another this season so tonight will be the first of four meetings between the two.

Come and join us on a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday. Tyler Yaremchuk will be around along with Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin to get you set up for the game down in Seattle. Additionally, they will talk about Tuesday's win in Calgary along with how the Oilers are lining up tonight and what they need to do to secure the two points. Finally, they will give out their Betway bets of the day at the end of the show.

31 Dec 2022One Last Time in 202200:54:30

Even without Leon Draisaitl, the Edmonton Oilers put on a dominant offensive display. Last night, Edmonton made the trip down to Seattle to face Kraken and put four passed them in the opening period. Three of the goals came within the opening minutes of the game, which saw Phillipp Graubauer’s night end early. Connor McDavid led the way with a goal and four assists to take his points told to 72 in 37 games, which is just incredible to even think about.

On today’s show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will break down everything that happened last night in Seattle.

Additionally, the Oilers are back in action tonight as they end 2022 on home ice. The Winnipeg Jets will be in town for their first matchup of the season against their 2020 Stanley Cup playoff opponents. The lingering question around the team is will Leon Draisaitl be back tonight? Can the Oilers have another great performance without him?

02 Jan 2023Predictions for 2023 | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 200:50:21

Unfortunately, the 2022 calendar year did not end on a positive note. The Winnipeg Jets came into Rogers Place and, despite getting only 17 shots, they found a way to secure the two points. Klim Kostin responded late for the Oilers; however, Kyle Connor's tip beat Jack Campbell to make it a 2-1 game late. Tyler Yaremchuk will give his thoughts on Saturday's contest on today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday.

Also on the first show in 2022, Tyler will be joined by Connor Halley, from TSN 1260. The two of them will give their predictions for the Edmonton Oilers for 2023. If you have a prediction you want to discuss with us, join the show live on YouTube and leave your comment in the chat.

Later on, in the show, Liam Horrobin will join Tyler for the Betway Wrap. The two of them will hand out their favourite bets from the two games going on tonight in the NHL, with Vegas visiting Colorado and Philadelphia heading west to Anaheim.

03 Jan 2023Time To Get Kraken In 2023 | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 300:43:11

After not playing against for almost a year, the Edmonton Oilers now welcome the Seattle Kraken to Rogers Place for the first of two visits. Their visit on December 30th went very well for the Copper and Blue, even without Leon Draisaitl in the lineup. The Oilers came away with a 7-2 victory which was supported by a five point night from Connor McDavid.

Since that game, the Kraken snapped their three game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the New York Islanders. However, they do still hold a three game skid against Pacific Division opponents.

Join us today on Oilersnation Everyday for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show edition. Tyler Yaremcuk is back in the hosting chair and will be joined by Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin. They will discuss what the Oilers need to do to achieve what they did in their last matchup against Seattle.

Come and join the conversation on YouTube and give us your predictions for tonight's game.

04 Jan 2023Blowing Leads & Trade Talk with Frank Seravalli | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 400:47:29

Playing at Rogers Place has not been kind for the Edmonton Oilers this season and last night was another example of that. The Oilers have now lost five games in a row on home ice and four have them have come from blown leads. Last night, Edmonton had a 2-0 lead early in the first period. By the end of 60 minutes, the Kraken had scored five unanswered goals. What is going wrong on home ice? We will talk about it all on today's show.

Joining Tyler Yaremchuk to talk about possible trade targets is Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff. Yesterday on Daily Faceoff Live, Frank revealed his top 10 trade targets from around the NHL. Today, we will ask him about a few of those names including Mattias Ekholm from the Nashville Predators, who just signed a new extension last season.

Also, we want to hear from you and what you thought about last night's game. Additionally, let us know who you want to see Ken Holland target before the trade deadline passes. .

05 Jan 2023Looking to change home ice woes | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 500:26:38

Home has not been so sweet for the Edmonton Oilers recently. They have not won at Rogers Place in their last five attempts and in four of those games they have blown the lead. However, tonight, they will get an opportunity to put that streak to bed as they host the New York Islanders.

The Islanders have lost only once in their last four games, which came against the Seattle Kraken a couple of games ago. Most recently, they handed the Vancouver Canucks a convincing loss beating them 6-2 on the road.

Join us for today on Oilersnation Everyday for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition. Tyler Yaremchuk will be joined by both Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin as they get you set for tonight's action in downtown Edmonton.

Also on today's show, they will get you set up for this evening's World Junior gold medal game between Canada and Czechia. Can Canada capture another gold or will Czechia complete their fantastic run at this year's tournament? Join us on YouTube and give us your thoughts on both games.

06 Jan 2023A Team Victory | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 600:48:24

Whatever was said in the Edmonton Oilers players only meeting earlier this week worked massively for them last night. The Oilers came away with a 4-2 victory over the New York Islanders in what was a full team effort. They also snapped a five game losing streak on home ice.

On today's show, Tyler Yaremchuk will talk about his three big things from last night's win along with everything else that happened in that game. It was a massive game for Jack Campbell and Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl each hit big milestones.

Like every Friday, Baggedmilk will be joining the show for the Bro Down! The two of them will review what has been going down with the Oilers since returning from Christmas, the Evander Kane interview from the Real Life Podcast and Canada's World Juniors victory last night in Halifax.

At the end of the show, Liam Horrobin will join the show to give out his Betway Bets of the Day.

07 Jan 2023A Western Conference Finals Rematch | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 700:39:56

The Edmonton Oilers 2022 playoff run ended disappointed at the Colorado Avalanche's feet. The Avalanche swept the Oilers, firing the final blow at Rogers Place to help them advance to the Stanley Cup Finals they won. Tonight, Connor McDavid and the Oilers get a chance to grab some redemption when they play them for the first time since that night.

Colorado has not been as dominant this season, and that is because of the injuries they have faced. Gabriel Landeskog, Valeri Nichushkin and Josh Manson are just a few names out of their lineup, and Nathan MacKinnon has also missed some time. They still have Cale Makar and Mikko Rantanen playing every night and having great seasons.

On today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk will preview tonight's action and be joined by Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin. They will talk about tonight's lines, the decision between the pipes and their favourite bets for the rematch of the Western Conference Finals.

09 Jan 2023An Important Divisional Road Trip Begins | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 900:43:23

They managed to grab a point on Saturday night but the Edmonton Oilers also blew a 2-0 lead in the third period. How should fans feel about that matchup against the Colorado Avalanche? Tyler Yaremchuk will chat about it today on Oilersnation Everyday giving us thoughts and also yours.

The Oilers now begin a week long road trip which starts in Los Angeles tonight against the Kings. The two teams have met once this season when the Kings came away with a 3-1 win in Edmonton. Also that night, Alexander Edler hit Connor McDavid with a knee-on-knee hit which led to no supplementary discipline from the NHL. The Kings currently sit in second in the Pacific Division and are seven points ahead of the Oilers with two more games played.

Since today is an Edmonton Oilers gameday, Jay Downton will join the show for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show. Tyler and Jay will get you set up with everything you need today ahead of tonight's matchup.

10 Jan 2023What Now? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 1000:46:08

Edmonton Oilers fans stayed up late last night to watch their team put together an extremely disappointing performance versus the Los Angeles Kings. The effort was below standard in all aspects of the game, besides goaltending which is ironic considering they lost 6-3. So what is the issue? Come and join us today on Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk and give us your thoughts on the Oilers right now.

Also on today's show, Bruce Curlock will join Tyler to break down what is happening with the Oilers right now.

The city is also screaming for Ken Holland to make a move. Is that time now or should Holland remain patient with the roster they have? Can Evander Kane turn this team around? We will dive into what is next for the Edmonton Oilers and talk about a few candidates for trade targets.

Finally, Liam Horrobin will give out his Betway bets of the day for tonight's NHL slate.

11 Jan 2023Time to go duck hunting | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 1100:47:51

The Edmonton Oilers continue their Pacific Division road trip tonight when they visit Anaheim to face the Ducks. Tonight will be the second meeting between the two Western Conference teams with Anaheim getting the better of Edmonton in their first matchup. Lukas Dostal was the big reason why the Ducks came away with a 4-3 victory after making 46 saves. The Oilers won't have to worry about him tonight since he is back in the AHL with the San Diego Gulls.

Instead, Edmonton will be facing a team that has allowed 11 goals in its last two games and has won three games in its last ten outings. However, those stats are irrelevant if the Oilers do not show up to play. Tyler Yaremchuk will be joined by Jay Downton for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show on today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday.

Later in the show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff will be around to give us an update on where the Oilers are shopping this trade deadline. He will also give us updates from around the NHL.

12 Jan 2023Can the Edmonton Oilers build up momentum? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 1100:29:27

Last night, the Edmonton Oilers went into the Honda Centre and did what they needed to do: dominate the Anaheim Ducks. By the time the buzzer sounded to end the first period, the Oilers had a 4-1 lead and were cruising to victory. They continue to put their foot on the throat of the Ducks throughout the final 40 minutes and came away with a 6-2. Can they now build off this win and continue into the final half of the season strong?

Today on Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk will reflect on what happened last night down in California. He will talk about the play of specific players like Klim Kostin and Jack Campbell along with the other strong performances.

Tomorrow, the Oilers Pacific Division road trip goes on with a matchup versus the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks, like the Ducks, have struggled this season so the Oilers need to capitalize and get two more points. Can it be done? That game will also be briefly previewed on the show.

The Oilers put together a strong performance against a weak opponent in the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. Tonight, they need to continue to build that momentum to keep their playoff chances high. On the show, the gang will discuss what San Jose can bring to the game, the expectations for Jack Campbell between the pipes, and their game day bets presented by Betway.

14 Jan 2023Taking On Vegas! | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 1400:35:03

The Edmonton Oilers laid down the law versus the San Jose Sharks last night, smashing them 7-1. They were only minutes away from a shutout for Jack Campbell, but unfortunately, Oscar Lindholm grabbed one for the Sharks. The Oilers got the job done in the last stretch of the California road trip; however, the biggest challenge comes tonight when they take on the Vegas Golden Knights.

Today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday will be a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of the show. Tyler Yaremchuk will be your host and he will be joined by Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin to preview all the action that will happen on the ice. The Oilersnation team is still down in Vegas so do not be surprised if a few other members grab a mic too.

On the show, they will take about what happened in San Jose, the expectations for tonight, and their Betway bets of the day.

16 Jan 2023A Big Knight In Vegas | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 16 00:38:30

The Edmonton Oilers closed out their week long road trip on Saturday night with a massive win over the Vegas Golden Knights. The Oilers jumped out to an early lead thanks to goals from Mattias Janmark and Leon Draisaitl within the first two minutes of puck drop. The Golden Knights made a few attempts to claw themselves back into the game but the Oilers responded well each time with another goal from Draisaitl and also Klim Kostin.

With the win, Edmonton has now won three games in a row with the Seattle Kraken coming up tomorrow night. How you are feeling about this team right now? Come and join us on today's live show and leave us your thoughts in the chat.

17 Jan 2023Back Home To Face Seattle | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 1700:41:46

The road trip started poorly for the Edmonton Oilers but ended on a huge high note with three consecutive wins against divisional opponents. The biggest of the three games against the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday, which many Nation Citizens were able to see live thanks to the Nation Vacation.

Tonight, the Oilers are back on home ice and set to face another Pacific Division team in the Seattle Kraken. Before the New Year struck, Edmonton dominated the Kraken on the road; however, they were not able to replicate it on home ice blowing a 2-0 lead. Can they get redemption tonight at Rogers Place? Tyler Yaremchuk will preview the game with Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin on today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday.

Later on in the show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joins for his weekly segment. He will fill us in on all the trade rumours surrounding the Oilers along with the news that he broke today about Evander Kane.

18 Jan 2023We Are Going Streaking! | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 1800:40:06

Four wins in a row against four divisional opponents. It does not get much better than that for the Edmonton Oilers right now as they continue to edge closer to a top three spot in the Pacific Division.

Last night, their matchup versus the Seattle Kraken got off to a rocky start after Jordan Eberle opened the scoring. However, the Oilers show relicense scoring three unanswered goals to give themselves a two goal cushion. Seattle responded early in the third but again Edmonton found a way to not dip in the moment, scoring two goals in the third period.

Tyler Yaremchuk will recap the game from last night, along with Liam Horrobin. There was plenty to talk about with the return of Evander Kane, the consistent play of Jack Campbell and the return of depth scoring. If you have something you want to say about last night's Oilers victory, come and give us your thoughts in the live YouTube chat and we will talk about it on the show.

19 Jan 2023Looking for five in a row versus Tampa Bay | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 1900:35:44

After playing five divisional opponents in a row, the Edmonton Oilers host an Eastern Conference opponent in the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Oilers have faced Tampa Bay once already this season and that was back in November following a disappointing loss to the Washington Capitals. Jack Campbell had his best game of the season at that point in the year stopping 35 of 37 shots in a 3-2 win.

Tonight, the Oilers will look to take two points away from the Lightning, again, and between the pipes will be Campbell. Tyler Yaremchuk will talk about the decision to stick with Campbell on today's show. Additionally, he will be joined by Liam Horrobin as the two of the preview tonight's matchup down at Rogers Place. The two of them will also give out their Betway bets of the game.

21 Jan 2023Seeking Revenge In Vancouver | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 2100:38:30

The Edmonton Oilers have been red hot since getting embarrassed by the Los Angeles Kings last Monday. Since then, they have won five games in a row with wins over the Vegas Golden Knights, Seattle Kraken, and, most recently, the Tampa Bay Lightning. They have quickly become a more collective group who are now playing and fighting for it together.

Tonight, they will look for their sixth win in a row when they take the short trip west to challenge the Vancouver Canucks. In their last meeting against the Canucks, it was a disappointing night at Rogers Place as the Oilers blew a 2-0 lead falling 5-2. It was a game that the Oilers will want to set right tonight, but can they do it?

Come and join Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show edition of Oilersnation Everyday. They will get you prepared for tonight's action with the lines, keys to victory and also some bets, courtesy of Betway.

The Edmonton Oilers made it six wins in a row on Saturday night with a 4-2 win against Pacific Division rivals, the Vancouver Canucks. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins sealed the win with an empty net goal with 35 seconds to spare; however, they did not make it easy on themselves almost blowing a 3-0 lead. An unfortunate repercussion of the loss for Vancouver fans it turned out to be the final game for loved head coach Bruce Boudreau.

26 Jan 2023The Streak Ends | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 2600:22:01

Do not be sad because it is over, be happy that it happened. That is how we should feel about the Edmonton Oilers six game win streak which sprung them back into contention for the Pacific Division championship.

With that said, last night was obviously disappointing. The Oilers played flat and showed little promise to win throughout the 60 minutes at Rogers Place last night. Fortunately, they were able to get at least a point and gain more ground on the Seattle Kraken.

What did you think of last night's game? Join us live on The Nation Network YouTube page at noon and let us know your thoughts on the Edmonton Oilers performance.

30 Jan 2023What a Saturday night | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 3000:44:37

The Edmonton Oilers went into the NHL's All Star break on a high note dominating the Chicago Blackhawks 7-3. The Oilers got contributions from everyone, including Matt Berlin, who was called up to replace Stuart Skinner who caught an illness.

Jay Woodcroft and his team gave Berlin an opportunity of a lifetime playing just over two minutes in the win. Berlin faced one shot, from former Edmonton Oiler Caleb Jones, and is now the NHL's all time save percentage leader. Let us know in the YouTube chat what you thought of the Oilers playing the University of Alberta Golden Bear.

Along with the Berlin conversation, Tyler Yaremchuk will break down what happened at Rogers Place on Saturday night by talking about his three big things. Tyler was also away in Jasper for the Jasper Pond Hockey tournament over the weekend so expect some tales from that event too.

Finally, Liam Horrobin will join the show to give out his Betway bets for the day.

31 Jan 2023Grading Oilers Mock Trades | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 3100:48:05

Silly season officially began yesterday with the New York Islanders acquiring Bo Horvat from the Vancouver Canucks. The response to the return was mixed; however, the Canucks received Anthony Beauvillier, Aatu Raty and a first round pick from the 2023 NHL Draft. Could this trade now force the hand of other general managers around the NHL, specifically Ken Holland?

On today's show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will take a look at some mock trades for the Edmonton Oilers. Earlier today, Tyler asked Nation Citizens to give us their mock trades which he will read out live on today's show. If you have a trade you want us to hear, hit us up in the live YouTube chat during the show.

Also on the show, Tyler and Liam will give out their Betway bets for tonight's NHL slate. On top of that, they will also look into the Stanley Cup odds. Finally, there will be no live show tomorrow but the guys will be back on Thursday at noon.

02 Feb 202350 Thoughts on 50 games | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Feb 200:27:33

The NHL All Star break has officially begun and our boy Tyler Yaremchuk is down soaking up the sun in Miami, Florida. He will be joining us live on location, while Liam Horrobin stayed home in not so sunny Edmonton.

On today's show, Tyler and Liam will look back at what happened in the first 50 games for the Edmonton Oilers. They will give their thoughts on the significant moments that have happened up until now with the Oilers. Like every show, we want to hear from you. Join us live at noon and give us your take in the live YouTube chat.

Another question on the boys' minds is how many players can hit the 20-goal mark this season. The Oilers currently have four players that have surpassed 20 goals but who else could join them? Give us your thoughts too during the live show.

You can expect all of that and more on today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday.

06 Feb 2023Expectations for the second half | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Feb 600:45:19

The NHL's All Star weekend is now over and we are only days away from the restart of the league's season. The All Star game itself was as expected, which should be fair to say. We saw all the stars do their thing during the skills competition and in the games on Saturday. It is safe to say we are all glad it is now over.

With that, Tyler Yaremchuk is back from Miami and is ready to get you back up to speed with the Edmonton Oilers. On today's show, Tyler will be joined by Daniel Nugent-Bowman from The Athletic. The two of them will talk about the All Star break, Ken Holland's trade deadline plans and the Oilers expectations for the second half of the season.

If you want to have your opinion heard, join us over on The Nation Networks YouTube page and drop your comment in the live chat. Tyler and Liam always appreciate the interaction with the listeners.

08 Feb 2023Victory in Detroit | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Feb 800:41:38

The Edmonton Oilers were back on the ice last night in what was an exciting matchup versus the Detroit Red Wings, at the Little Caesars Arena. The Oilers found themselves down 1-0 after the first period; however, two quick goals from Ryan McLeod and Warren Foegele helped them gain their first lead of the game. From there, the copper and blue never looked back getting more goals from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Evander Kane and Foegele, again.

On today's show, Tyler Yaremchuk will recap last night's game from the opening puck drop to Brett Kulak's "scrap" with Robby Fabbri. Come and leave your thoughts on the action over on the YouTube chat during the live show.

Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff will also be around on Oilersnation Everyday. Tyler will get the latest news out of Frank from around the NHL. Will the Oilers need to move on from Jesse Puljujarvi? Is Gustav Nyquist a real target for them?

You can expect all of that and more on today's edition of the show.

09 Feb 2023Taking on the Philadelphia Flyers | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Feb 900:41:55

The Edmonton Oilers are looking to make it three wins in a row tonight when they take on the Philadelphia Flyers. The Oilers have not faced the Flyers yet this season but in their most recent meeting Mikko Koskinen had a 39-save shutout to help Edmonton win 3-0.

Tonight, there will be no Koskinen for the Oilers since he now plays in Europe, instead, it is likely that Stuart Skinner gets the start. Is starting Skinner the correct decision? Tyler Yaremchuk will discuss that and more on today's Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday. On top of that, he will go in deep on the latest topics going on around the Edmonton Oilers.

Like every show, Tyler wants to hear from you. Head over to The Nation Network YouTube channel to interact with him, and his guests, throughout the show. What is your score prediction? Who will get the first goal? When will Connor McDavid hit the 100 point mark? Come and give us your take starting at noon mountain.

You can expect all of that and more on today's edition of the show.
