After learning the craft of making bubbles at Champagne Taittinger, then coming home and working as a winemaker for one of New Zealand’s earliest wine brands, Corbans, Claire went onto to be the first winemaker at Lawson’s Dry Hills before taking the plunge into making her own wine with her husband Mike. The wine they named after a beautiful native New Zealand bird, The Huia.
