FOREVER YOUNG RADIO, SHOW NOTES:

The pioneering physician scientist behind the New York Times bestseller Eat to Beat Disease reveals the science of eating your way to healthy weight loss. Now in Eat to Beat Your Diet, Dr. Li introduces the surprising new science of weight loss, revealing healthy body fat can help you lose weight; your metabolism at 60 can be the same as when you were 20; yo-yo dieting can be good for your health; 8-hour fasting windows can be as effective as 12-hour fasting windows; and losing just a little bit of weight can have big impacts on your health. Eat to Beat Your Diet shows readers how adding the right foods to your diet can heal your metabolism, reduce unhealthy body fat, and result in the kind of weight loss that can increase your lifespan and help you thrive.

This post summarizes their enlightening conversation, which explores the intersection of health, business ethics, and environmental sustainability.

The Power of Sustainable Business Practices:

Corinna Bellizzi opens the discussion by emphasizing the need for businesses to adopt sustainable practices from the outset. Her journey from leading Nordic Naturals, where she spearheaded significant growth, to focusing on plant-based omega-3 solutions illustrates a shift towards more environmentally friendly practices. Bellizzi highlights how traditional fish oil industries contribute to ocean degradation and overfishing, advocating for a pivot to algae-based omega-3s which offer a carbon-negative solution.

Discussing the specifics, Bellizzi explains how omega-3 fatty acids are crucial for human health, supporting everything from cellular functions to inflammation management. Her new venture, Orla Nutrition, showcases the world’s first carbon-negative omega-3 oils, produced from algae rather than fish. 06 May 2022Welcome to Nutrition Without Compromise, Hosted by Corinna Bellizzi and Presented by Orlo Nutrition 00:02:40

In the modern era, our nutrition systems are in crisis. Foods that once had high levels of minerals and vitamins have seen their levels plummet as a result of the compromised health of our soil and ecosystems. With these changes, our waistlines have expanded, as food is less nutrient-dense and therefore less filling. Entire communities are undernourished and overweight. This is a direct result of the figurative and literal food deserts we live in today. It's time for a new era, one that puts nutrition first, without compromise.

At Nutrition Without Compromise we believe that great nutrition and bountiful health is a human right. We believe that you should never have to make a choice between your ethics, your morals, the food on your plate, and the environment that produces it in order to stay your healthiest and live your best life. If you want to join a movement that challenges the status quo, that asks you to think deeply and discover new solutions that you might never have thought possible, then this podcast and community is exactly where you belong.
