25 Feb 202518. Understanding Mitochondrial health and why it's a hot topic for 2025 With Dr Wolfgang Brysch00:39:35

This week on episode 18 of Nourishing Lives Ineke is chatting with Dr Wolfgang Brysch and digging into the mighty Mitochondria.

Dr. Brysch has an impressive academic background. He studied computer science in the USA, as well as medicine in Göttingen and Cambridge (UK). He earned his Ph.D. in neurobiology at the renowned Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (equivalent to Francis Crick Institute in the UK), where he also led a research group in molecular neuro- and tumour biology for several years.

But that's not all. As a co-founder of several biotech companies, Dr. Brysch repeatedly came across scientific studies on the positive effects of secondary plant compounds on our metabolism. What began with initial scepticism has now become his firm belief: natural substances should play an important role alongside and as a complement to standard medicine.

Dr. Brysch now pursues this passion professionally as the co-founder of iüLabs, an innovative supplement start-up – the only one with SoluSmart®, a technology for better intestinal absorption of plant compounds.

Their best-selling supplement iüVitalizer, supports energy, focus and cognition – 'we have a number of customers who take it to help with their fatigue, as well as those juggling numerous demands of the day and need that extra boost use code NOURISH20 to purchase with us, or sign up to our waiting list if you are not based in the UK, on www.iulabs.co'

  • Tell us about how iüLabs started
  • Mitochondrial health is so important for overall health, tell me a little more about the mitochondria and its importance to energy
  • Speaking of energy and Mitochondria, what are some of the typical chronic diseases or conditions we are seeing which are linked to the Mitochondria
  • Environmental health is becoming more popular in the media and general conversation, in your experience what is the impact of toxins in our everyday food and water intake as well as body products and other things we might buy upon our Mitochondria.
  • Cancer and ADHD has been linked to Mitochondrial Health, what in your experience have you seen to be the relationship between the two.
  • What are three simple things we could do to optimise these amazing power houses of our cells.
  • How do iüLabs products help Mitochondrial health?
