On this episode of Neon Galactic, we talk with Professor Kevin Knuth from SUNY Albany, a physics professor who has worked diligently in recent years to elevate the study of UAPs and do real science on a subject that still comes with significant stigma in academic circles. Knuth is a member of the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, a founder of UAPx, and editor of the peer-reviewed journal, Entropy. His expertise are broad, after two decades in machine learning as it relates to astrophysics, as well as Bayesian Probability Theory, Information Theory, robotics, signal processing, neuroscience, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Quantum Mechanics, among other areas. He also received a grant from NASA to study exoplanets. In this conversation, we discuss his frustration with the behavior of the federal government on UAPs, and how its behavior demonstrates a remarkable degree of ineptitude. Knuth believes it incompetence rather than conspiracy, yet also says in this interview that he believes there is a dark side to this story, an element that may well have convinced some in the government that it's better to keep the secrets. Our collective frustration underlines the point that organizations like SCU, UAPx, the Galileo Project, and others, need to do their own science and ultimately take government secrecy out of the picture. In several UAP briefings that Knuth has given to congressional figures, he said they asked about equipment that can detect UAPs (USOs) in the ocean. That, he suspects, may be a major part of the story. Knuth, whose early work involved neuroimaging and brain research, also discusses the role of consciousness in the UAP phenomenon. What has been called high strangeness may, he posits, be merely mechanisms of nature that we don't yet understand, which other civilizations may well have mastered. Knuth made the point repeatedly that science as an institution needs to have more humility in its proclamations on the nature of things. When 85 percent of our universe remains unidentified, and consists of material we can't interact with, we know very little at all. In this episode we sit down with researcher and author Chris Aubeck to talk about his newest book, “Saucers,” as well as his own experiences surrounding UAP and the phenomenon.

Aubeck discusses his rather shocking conclusion that the root of the flying saucer mythos may have more to do with social priming and expectations rather than actual sightings of disc-shaped crafts. Through in-depth and unsparing analysis and research, Aubeck reveals that the term “flying saucer” was in use for decades before that label got applied – oddly and mistakenly – to the crafts reported by Kenneth Arnold in 1947. The revelation points to a fascinating and weirdly appropriate source. In “Saucers,” he dissects the sequence of events that led to that mistaken usage, and in the process chronicles how misinformation and errors propagate so easily in popular culture. Years of research and writing have led Aubeck to a position of hopeful skepticism. He himself witnessed a rectangular UFO in the 1990s that seemed to display exceptional capabilities, yet he’s also found that with deeper research many if not most UFO stories fall apart upon deeper research, dissolving like candy floss in the rain. We also discuss his earlier works, including “Wonders in the Sky” with Jacques Vallee and “Alien Artifacts.” We also discuss an academic paper, attributed in part to Aubeck, that is very critical of the recent revelations by whistleblower David Grusch and the current global interest in UFOs. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview attorney Daniel Sheehan, a mythic legal figure who over the course of his long career has played major roles in some of the most important legal fights ever undertaken— Pentagon Papers, Iran Contra, Silkwood, and many others. After glimpsing classified Project Blue Book photographs in the late 1970s that reportedly showed the US Air Force retrieval of a crashed UFO, Sheehan has been an advocate for UAP disclosure. In the past few years, he has come to represent Lue Elizondo, the Pentagon whistleblower who revealed in 2017 that the US government had and continues to be in the business of UFOs. Here Sheehan describes what from the now eviscerated Schumer Amendment to the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act will still do for efforts at disclosure, and how he and his allies will be working to lobby the Senate Intelligence Committee to put enforcement mechanisms back in the legislation. Sheehan also acknowledges that some of the current back-room negotiations between aerospace companies around recovered craft may well indicate that significant progress has been recently made in back engineering UFOs. Radiance Tech in particular may be trying to use that tech to develop and deploy a global nuclear quick strike missile technology, he said. Due to a tenuous ZOOM connection, the video in this episode is occasionally glitchy, but the conversation was so fascinating and important I posted it anyway. The discussion is clear and intelligible. In this chat, Dr. Jack Hunter and I discuss the nature of the paranormal, and the ways in which Academia has embraced the topic, and the ways in which it has failed to engaged with its more challenging aspects. Through the lens of such disciplines as ecology and anthropology, a coherent understanding of the paranormal is possible if difficult to pin down. Hunter has made a career out of engaging with these topics, and in refusing to be reductive about the complexities involved. His recent book, "Deep Weird," focuses in particular on those occurrences that fall outside mainstream categories by virtue of their strangeness. Hunter argues that it's that complexity that can likely tell us the most about what we're encountering. All aspects should be embraced and analyzed, not ignored or ridiculed according to operative prejudices and intellectual laziness. We explore his experiences with the spiritual realm through early research around spiritualists and mediums, events that challenged his world view and pushed him into a process of what he calls "ontological flooding," where the possible explanations for various phenomenon multiply and refuse simple or trite resolutions. This straddling of ontologies and explanations is one key to gaining a global perspective, he believes. In this second episode of Neon Galactic’s The Rethink, we again convene a panel of experts from across the various fields that have interest in and around the field of anomalous studies and ufology.

This will ultimately be a series of conversations, held with prominent representatives of the various stakeholder groups surrounding the UAP phenomenon, including – but not limited to – humanists, scientists, experiencers, political activists, and journalists/podcasters.

Our primary goal is to foster a joint sense of mission and facilitate conversations between interested parties that are often locked in their own institutional silos and lack cohesion.

In this episode of Neon Galactic, we sit down with best-selling author Nick Cook and artist Tristan Maduro to talk about the nature of reality and the intersection between UFOs and consciousness. Through the work of British writer and social critic Colin Wilson, Lachman was inspired to engage with occulted mysteries and research the strange and fascinating phenomenon in his own life, including a lifelong series of precognitive dreams. While he initially intended to teach philosophy after retiring from the music industry, he later found Academia stifling, and turned his attention to writing about our weird and wonderful universe after working at a famous metaphysical bookshop in the Los Angeles area. We talk about the evolution of human consciousness, as laid out in the work of German philosopher Jean Gebser, and how that process of evolution involves both the construction of something new and the destruction of older forms. We also discuss likely ontologies that can accommodate high strangeness, and what individual people can do to help encourage humanity's collective evolution. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we sit down with neuroscientist Dr. Pascal Michael to discuss consciousness, the brain, and how anomalous states – such as those found during near-death experiences (NDEs), alien abduction, and under the influence of psychedelics – compare, and what they reveal about the nature of mind. 

Michael has been working to bring the study of anomalous brain states to the frontier of neuroscience, and has himself ingested DMT to better understand the subjective experiences they cause.

We talk about his own experience, the potential primacy of consciousness in the universe, the ontological status of realms encountered under the influence of DMT, and more.

Michael completed his PhD at the University of Greenwich with Dr. David Luke, where his research encompassed nuanced qualitative analyses of mystical-type human experiences, both neuropharmacological and spontaneous.

Specifically, comparing the DMT experience, based on the first conceived field study of DMT use, with the near-death experience (NDE). 

He is presently a lecturer in Psychology there, teaching and researching on psychedelics; psychical research focussing on survival, ufology and entity encounters; neuroscience and clinical psychology.

Pascal has presented at conferences such as Breaking Conventions, has been invited to give talks such as with the Psychedelic Society UK and the Tyringham Initiative (a private symposium on the entity encounter), and his articles have appeared in journals such as Frontiers.

He is the co-lead for the ALEF Trust’s certificate in Psychedelics, Altered States and Transpersonal Psychology, and is the 2020 recipient of the Parapsychology Association’s Schmeidler Outstanding Student Award.

In the wake of recent allegations from David Grusch, we sit down with Rich Hoffman, a founder of the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, to talk about the state of ufology and where it's headed.

In the episode, we sit down with author and journalist Keith Thompson to talk about his long history with the topic of ufology and his relationships with some of the greatest influences in the field, including John Mack, Jeffrey Kripal, and Laurence Rockefeller. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we sit down with author James Cobban to discuss his two-volume work, “Nursery of the Gods,” which represents a distillation and interpretation of the massive amount of channeled material from medium and author Jane Roberts. 

The information Roberts presents in a number of volumes reportedly comes from a discarnate entity named Seth. Her aptly named body of work, the “Seth Material,” was produced from late 1963 until her death in 1984. To write, she’d enter a trance state and dictate the material to her husband.

Many credit Roberts and her work as the foundation of New Age philosophy, and consider it the most influential channeled text of the post–World War II era.

Roberts herself refused to identify Seth as a spirit, though she thought that possible, and never rejected the alternative idea that he may have been a creation of her own subconscious.

Witnesses to her process noted that Seth’s voice and mannerism were considerably different from Jane’s.

Her work covers a vast amount of subject matter, from the creation and make-up of the human soul, to reincarnation, UFOs, and the nature of major spiritual prophets.

Cobban has taken the many volumes of the Seth Material and condensed it down into two volumes that encapsulate the philosophic and ontological ideas there presented.

Nursery of the Gods is well-written, well-organized, and a fascinating read. Cobban has largely kept his work to like-minded social media communities, and this interview is the first time he’s presented his ideas to a more general audience. Yet his work displays a sophistication and passion that belies that relative anonymity.

This episode of Neon Galactic features a beautiful conversation with writer, musician, and music journalist Mike Fiorito, and centers around UFOs and his newest book, For All We Know. This wonderfully written short fiction novel explores the transcendent experiences of one man over the course of his life, and the mechanisms by which he -- and by extension, all of us -- can access the liminal world and achieve an expanded state of consciousness. Rare for a book about UFOs, Fiorito's fictional narrative is powerfully written, and ambitious in its attempts to communicate the nature of these experiences in a literary format. On this episode of Neon Galactic, Dr. Jim Madden joins us to talk about his new book, “Unidentified Flying Hyperobject: UFOs, Philosophy, and the End of the World.” Madden, a Benedictine College philosophy professor, asks us to consider UFOs as “hyperobjects” spread out in a way that transcends our ordinary senses, as well as our rather limiting notions of space and time. He asserts that we only ever encounter these objects from within what he labels “Umwelt,” or world perspective, which is necessarily limiting. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview the man perhaps most responsible for bringing extraordinary human capabilities out of the darkness of ignorance and superstition and into the light of science.

Dr. Dean Radin has worked for decades to apply scientific rigor and hard science to the subject of psi phenomenon.

Through his own experimental work, and his analysis of the decades worth of previous experimentation, Radin has proven beyond any reasonable doubt that humanity can gain information about reality, the future, and themselves through mechanisms that lay outside of the physical senses.

He’s written several important books on these and related issues, and has just finished another. 

In this conversation we talk about the nature of psi phenomenon, the limitations of materialism, and the fact that while such an approach hasn’t explained extraordinary human abilities, it has proven powerful and absolutely necessary for the continued success of our civilization and species.

The goal, he says, should not be to abandon materialism, but rather to expand our perspective and realize that the greater truths of science will involve old paradigms and a new one that will transcend and include all our previous successes.

We discuss which ontology he believes explains the efficacy of psi phenomenon, and how meditation and other forms of mental discipline and spiritual exploration are seemingly an important part of accessing these often latent human capacities. 

Radin is chief scientist at the Institute of Noetic Science (IONS) and Associated Distinguished Professor of Integral and Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. 

His original career track as a concert violinist shifted into science after earning a degree in electrical engineering, magna cum laude and with honors in physics, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and then an MS in electrical engineering and a PhD in psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. 

For a decade he worked on advanced research and development at AT&T Bell Laboratories and GTE Laboratories. For over three decades he has been engaged in research on the frontiers of consciousness. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at Princeton University, SRI International, and other academic and industrial facilities.

He has been invited to speak to such entities as Merck, Google, Johnson & Johnson, and Rabobank.

His government talks have included the US Navy, US Army, the Naval Postgraduate School, DARPA, the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (India), the International Center for Leadership and Governance (Malaysia), and the Australian Leadership Retreat (Australia). 

In 2017 he was named one of the 100 most inspiring people in the world by the German magazine, OOOM, and as of 2021 his filmography on IMDB lists his appearances in 26 different documentaries.

On this first episode of Neon Galactic’s The Rethink, we convene a panel of experts from across the various fields that have interest in and around the field of anomalous studies and ufology.

This will ultimately be a series of conversations, held with prominent representatives of the various stakeholder groups surrounding the UAP phenomenon, including – but not limited to – humanists, scientists, experiencers, political activists, and journalists/podcasters.

Our primary goal is to foster a joint sense of mission and facilitate conversations between interested parties that are too often locked in their own institutional silos and therefore lack cohesion.

Guests in this first installment include Philosophy Professor James Madden from Benedictine University; experiencer Jay Christopher King, from the Experiencer Group and Ontocalypse Productions; political strategist and entrepreneur Lester Nare; andProfessor Kevin Knuth, from the State University of New York at Albany.

The panel will be hosted by KEET’s James Faulk and Dr. Chris Avis from Camosun College in British Columbia.

Our primary questions:

In this series of Neon Galactic interviews, KEET-TV attended the 2024 Contact in the Desert event in Indian Wells, CA, to chat with several folks who represent the leading edge of radical thinking in the subjects of artificial intelligence, NHI, UFOs, and more. This is Part III of four interviews conducted at the event, which was held between May 30 and June 3 of 2024. Anyone who is paying attention to the UFO/UAP/NHI conversation these days will be familiar with the work of Jay Christopher King from The Experiencer Group and Kelly Chase from The UFO Rabbit Hole Podcast. They have become prominent in the community and in the surrounding discussion because of their passion, their intelligence, and their curiosity, and for helping to place the UFO issue front and center in a world largely distracted by materialism. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview Professor Michael Zimmerman from the University of Colorado at Boulder, whose long-time interest in the phenomenon started in childhood and later blossomed into an area of intense study and concern over where the exactly the phenomenon may be leading us, and what it may indicate about humanity’s future. Zimmerman has written numerous academic papers on UFOs and the abduction phenomenon, and developed a working relationship with Harvard University psychiatrist and professor John Mack in the 1990s. This is Part IV, the final installment of four interviews conducted at the event, which was held between May 30 and June 3 of 2024. Ever since his encounter with The Visitors in 1985, Whitley Strieber has become a kind of Rorschach Test for how people view reality. His bestselling book, “Communion,” exploded on the scene in the later 1980s, and the appearance of that alien mugshot on the cover touched something deep inside people, spurring an outpouring of letters and stories that are even now proving themselves vitally important as part of Rice University’s Archive of the Impossible. While many may have initially laughed at Strieber’s story, especially as it later became a low-brow cable TV punchline, he never wavered in describing what he perceived as the truth of his experience, and indeed, has continued to invite people along to read about his many encounters and experiences so that together we could explore what it all means for humanity, and the world. He’s published a number of books on the subject, and remained open and transparent even as the ridicule ultimately led to him losing a home and a successful career writing horror novels. And for many fellow experiencers, Strieber’s account offered them opportunity and support to come forward with their own stories and begin the slow process of healing. He’s never claimed to know precisely what it was he experienced, or what it may mean about reality, aliens, science, or the dead. He chooses instead to simply take his and other experiencers’ stories seriously, leaving them on the table for analysis and insight, while making sure to avoid easy explanations and convenient generalities. In this conversation, we discuss Strieber’s life, his experiences, and how his loving relationship with his deceased wife Anne shaped his life, his career, and his thinking – perhaps even more so after her death. Above all, here we get a sense of the profound love and respect Strieber had for her and vice versa. A love affair that spans the cosmos. We also talk about his upcoming book, and what aspects of the phenomenon it will cover. We discuss how Strieber’s interest in spirituality – G.I. Gurdjieff and P.D. Ouspensky, in particular – may have sparked his initial contact. Neon Galactic's James Faulk interviews Professor Jeffrey Kripal about his new book, The Superhumanities, as well as his overall thoughts on the non-material aspects of the universe that have been the concern of so much of his work.

In this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview forward-thinking author and philosopher Bernardo Kastrup, who defines for viewers his notion of Idealism: How the universe can be most accurately considered a working mind rather than a physical and independently existing collection of forces, fields and particles. He also offers his take on UFOs and UAPs, differentiating between hard, physical craft on radar and the broader contact phenomenon. Throughout his work, Kastrup has unveiled and delineated a ruthlessly logical ontology that addresses many of the so-called insoluble problems of science, revealing them ultimately to be mirages that arise out of the problematic physicalist ontology that now predominates in academia and mainstream science. His work answers mainstream criticisms that only materialism can be vigorously defended. After reading his books, one clearly sees that logic in fact supports his position. Idealism is the more parsimonious explanation for reality, and has greater explanatory power. We discuss his views on reality, how human personality fits in the broader cosmic picture, and how human mythologies are pervasive yet – at the moment – have been robbed of all their power to provide meaning to the human experience.. We also talk about the phenomenon of UAPs and NHI, considering whether these might form a more comprehensive and transcendent mythology that could better connect us with metaphysical truths. On this episode of Neon Galactic, through our third interview with Jeffrey Kripal of Rice University, we come as close as we ever have to finding answers around the various stripes of anomalous phenomenon we have long been covering.

Kripal is perhaps the most influential thinker working today in the broad and often confused study of the anomalous. He’s written several books, but his most recent – “How To Think Impossibly” – is an urgent and convincing call for people to reconsider reality and take more seriously the message being communicated by the uncanny and strange. 

In this chat, we discuss the book, and its assertions that the anomalous represents two co-equal principles – firstly, that the human is in fact a composite being, one aspect as the conscious, personal ego, and the other a deeper and more connected being, a figment of the all. The human as two.

Secondly, Kripal argues that dual aspect monism is the most rigorous and coherent approach to explaining reality while leaving all of people’s experiences on the table.

It is an ontology that argues reality is at root one thing, with two predominant aspects: the material, and immaterial consciousness. They are fundamentally the same, yet remain contrasting expressions of the whole. 

We also discuss the role of imagination in connecting humanity with the broader truth of what is. Kripal argues that the various shades of the phenomenon are different ways that the whole deploys to make us rethink our place in the universe, and how we conceive of ourselves within it.

His vision does not preclude the existence of other beings and entities, yet they too would be creatures of this broader reality, and perhaps better able to grok its complexity. Imagination is the mechanism of contact, and realization. 

Jeffrey J. Kripal holds the J. Newton Rayzor Chair in Philosophy and Religious Thought at Rice University.

According to his bio on the Rice University website, his current work includes the articulation of a New Comparativism that puts “the impossible” back on the table; a robust and even conversation between the sciences and the humanities; and the mapping of an emergent mythology or “Super Story” within paranormal communities and through individual visionaries.

His efforts have led to the establishment of the Archivers of the Impossible, a vast collection of experiencer narratives and related materials that capture the diversity of anomalous human experience.

In this episode, we interview Italian author, occultist and teacher Marco Visconti about the nature of magick, the universe, and the efficacy of spiritual technologies. Visconti is an expert in the field of occult studies and magic, focusing on Alistair Crowley's Thelema, and we discuss his recent book, "The Aleister Crowley Manual: Thelemic Magick for Modern Times," as well as the difficulty finding good spiritual teachers in an age dominated by materialism and reductivity. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we sit down with ufological royalty -- Paul Hynek, son of legendary ufologist J. Allen Hynek, who joins us to talk about his father's legacy, his experiences with DMT, his thoughts on the nature and intent of non-human intelligences, and how AI represents both an opportunity and a threat to the human species.

Hynek is an entrepreneur and futurist, a transhumanist and movie producer. He has an MBA from Wharton, and works as an adjunct professor of finance and accounting at Pepperdine University.

In addition to fostering the genesis and growth of thousands of software and tech start-ups, he’s been instrumental in the making of such films as Avatar, Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes, Tintin, Real Steel, Warcraft, and The Hobbit, as well as the video games Halo and Call of Duty.

His interests seem to include both the woo aspects of ufology, how the phenomenon may include and intersect with metaphysical notions of being and existence, as well as a robust and practical interest in the technology.

We discuss Hynek's belief that humans will eventually upload their consciousness into computers and thereby achieve immortality, as well as the mechanisms that could make that possible.

We also discuss Hynek's role in a company that's seeking to extend human life, and how his interest in the company came about through his own participation in early trials.

Hynek also describes his other passion -- Bitcoin and blockchain technology -- and how humanity's discovery and use of that tech may have been the trigger that ignited humanity's apparently ongoing contact experience with NHI. Hynek believes that NHI to be post biological.

On this episode of Neon Galactic, we speak with author and journalist Nick Cook about his new, serialized book project, The Light Beyond The Mountains, and how it offers a kind of synthesis between his two areas of knowledge and research: arms manufacturing companies, developed during his years as a journalist with Jane’s Defence Weekly, and consciousness, which has more recently been for Cook a topic of interest and research. This literary high-wire act promises to challenge Cook’s considerable talent and expertise while also offering rare insight into consciousness and the broader UAP phenomenon. Cook in this interview describes how the project came about, how this manner of publication suits his ultimate goal, and how his experience with these companies informs his current thinking on the state of the world and what’s needed to improve things. Saving the world is entirely possible, he argues, but will require that the genius of these companies be partly freed from the strictly proprietary development of weapons and directed toward addressing climate change and other global conundrums. We discuss the slowly changing paradigms of science and business, and how these shifts are necessary to navigate humanity’s current existential crisis. Both technology and consciousness have a formative role to play in the search for solutions. There is a reason to hope, he argues, but it will be a difficult road. In this series of Neon Galactic interviews, KEET-TV attended the 2024 Contact in the Desert event in Indian Wells, CA, to chat with several folks who represent the leading edge of radical thinking in the subjects of artificial intelligence, NHI, UFOs, and more. This is Part II of four interviews conducted at the event, which was held between May 30 and June 3 of 2024. Anthony Peake has written a number of books dealing with a range of topics that challenge preconceived and materialistic notions of reality. His wide expertise and deep thinking merge concepts and details from a number of sources to produce a uniquely pragmatic and sensible approach to the existential questions and conundrums facing humanity. With early sources and influences ranging from "The Sky People" by Brinsley Le Poer Trench and British series "Man Myth and Magic," to Jacques Vallee’s "Passport to Magonia" and John Keel’s "Operation Trojan Horse," Peake from the beginning was an avid intellectual explorer who sought to push boundaries and make sense of the universe. While his early career focused on economics, the sociology of religion, and Italian Renaissance art, by the year 2000 he’d decided to focus on putting much of what he’d learned and come to believe into book form, in what later became his first volume, “Cheating the Ferryman.” It was a distillation of all his areas of interest, quantum physics, neurology, ancient myths, altered-states of consciousness and the mystery of death. Thanks to the help of Professor Bruce Greyson of the University of Virginia, an article based upon Peake’s “Cheating the Ferryman” hypothesis was to appear in the Winter 2004 edition of the Journal of Near-Death Studies, the academic periodical of the International Association of Near-Death Studies (IANDS). A few months later, in early 2005, British publishing house Arcturus bought the rights to the book and, a year later, and after a substantial re-write, it was published as, “Is There Life After Death – The Extraordinary Science of What Happens When We Die.” More than 60,000 copies have since been sold, and the volume has been translated into various foreign language editions including Spanish, Russian and Polish. In this conversation, we discuss Peake’s notions of the human soul and how every conscious being has two abiding centers of identity within, a daemon that represents the being’s higher self – which transcends and unites our earthly incarnations – and an avatar-like personality that is bound to only one life cycle. We also discuss Peake’s conception of reincarnation, and the presence in this universe of egregorials, creations of consciousness that over time can gain the autonomy and power to manifest independently of their creators. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview Dr. Christopher Avis, a physics instructor and climatologist from Camosun College in British Columbia, who had his worldview transformed after taking Ketamine as part of a treatment program for depression. The process opened him up to notions beyond materialism, and made him rethink how he viewed the transcendent, subjects like NDEs, OBEs, spirituality, and science, among other things. Suddenly, what had long seemed like woo was a visceral encounter with a different, but very much real, world beyond the senses. That experience, coupled with a re-introduction to the sacred that was facilitated by the ketamine program organizers, has grounded Avis in his own body and emphasized to him the importance of community and connectedness. His transformation occurred as the UAP discussion in the United States gained international attention through the whistleblower testimony of David Grusch before a congressional committee, and the introduction of the UAP Disclosure Act of 2023. Both developments reawakened in Avis a curiosity and passion for the UFO subject, which he realized was telling all of us something very important about the nature of reality. Like so many others, Avis then went on a deep dive of research and study that led him to the work of Jeffrey Kripal, Diana Pasulka, James Madden, and many others. In this conversation, we discuss the nature of “the flip,” per Kripal; the importance of the UFO subject; how academia and the sciences will respond if materialism meets its timely end; the risks taken by open-minded scientists asserting interest in these sorts of topics; and how educational institutions are facing a number of challenges in this moment that will be even further complicated by a revolution in the sciences. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview security specialist Kaleb Bench from the History Channel’s hit show, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, about his work on the property, his many anomalous experiences there, the overall investigation into that strangeness, and his relationship with other crew members, as well as ranch owner Brandon Fugal. As the brother-in-law of ranch Superintendent Thomas Winterton, Bench was brought in early work security at the ranch, and describes several incidents where inexplicable events unfolded around him, including some that left him injured and concerned about his general health. In particular, Bench relates how a recent episode of the show – one that involved a young calf blinded by an energetic and unexplained phenomenon – mirrored his own injuries. He also reveals several sightings by him that have largely gone under the radar. Bench describes his own spiritual journey, independent of the show, and wonders whether his experience with spirituality primed him for connection with whatever intelligence is behind the many occurrences on the ranch. In this episode, we visit retired Navy Senior Chief Kevin Day, and his wife Kimberly, at their home in Cave Junction, Oregon.

Gracious hosts and good people, they’d invited my wife and I to visit and conduct an interview. Over several hours, we discussed his experience as one of the senior non-commissioned officers aboard the USS Princeton in 2004 when they encountered a number of tic-tac UAPs. We also talked about the Phenomenon generally, and how it has been transformative in his life, in part shaping him into a more caring and intuitive human being.

Day also offers his emotional reaction to the recent Congressional hearing with whistleblower David Grusch and pilots David Fravor and Ryan Graves. Interestingly, he also describes an event at the start of his career, aboard the USS Vincennes, when his ship believed it was under attack from an approaching airplane and shot it down, only to later discover it had been a passenger plane, Iran Air Flight 665 from Tehran to Dubai. All passengers were killed, and Day now believes that this momentous event in his life was directly connected to his later encounters with the tic-tacs off Catalina Island.

Interview with Matthew Ford, host of the The Good Trouble Show with Matt Ford. We talk about UAPs and politics, as well as the intricacies of working such a massive and important issue as disclosure through the halls of power when the two major parties are typically at odds. We discuss his personal experience with the phenomenon, and how whistleblowers are now concerned that Sean Kirkpatrick of AARO may not have what it takes to protect people and get the truth out. Matt also describes how he believes a certain breed of debunker has made an industry out of disrespecting witnesses with flippant denials and nonsensically prosaic explanations.

On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview Reinerio Hernandez, whose work and research into UFOs and other contact modalities has been a major contribution to the understanding of what’s actually being experienced by thousands of people all over the world. For him it started more than a decade ago with a paranormal encounter in his living room, one that disappeared his wife for over an hour and healed his dying dog. This experience — plus many others — set off a chain of events and encounters that changed Rey’s life and helped him to advance our understanding of what reality might actually be. His research — which can be found at www.agreaterreality.com — includes a one-of-a-kind statistical survey of some 4300 experiencers. The information uncovered there flies in the face of many long-standing assumptions about the nature and purpose of NHI contact. His primary conclusion is that virtually all paranormal phenomena stems from different forms of contact with a greater, likely non-physical realm that somehow connects with ours. This reality is one experienced through contact with UFOs, as well as near death experiences, out-of-body experiences, remote viewing, ghost encounters, and more. Hernandez has partnered with a long list of brilliant doctors, scientists, parapsychologists, and others, who share his insights and have helped write and edit his several books. On this episode of Neon Galactic, we interview Dr. Stephen Finley from Louisiana State University about the complexities of race and the UFO/UAP/NHI phenomenon. Finley studied at Rice University under Jeffrey Kripal, and offers a challenging yet vitally important perspective into how anomalous experiences manifest to the African American community, and how they read and interpret the various themes and details presented by NHI. We discuss the notion that the UFO subject appeals mostly to white people, an argument he demolishes. Finley lists several prominent black experiencers, while also outlining how these experiences differ from stereotyped contact and what those difference might mean. We also discuss the white supremacist origins of some UFO lore, through William Dudley Pelley, George Adamski and others, and how that connection can present barriers to people of color looking to engage with the topic. We consider the relationship between the African American community and the U.S. Government -- a continuum of mistreatment stretching from experimentation and 3/5ths personhood to the prison industrial complex and Cointelpro -- and how that history might complicate notions of governmental disclosure. While the phenomenon seems to be pushing humanity to recognize and consider different ways of learning and knowing, it's precisely those ways of knowing that have been obfuscated and ignored by a broader white and materialist culture. Neon Galactic sits down with Dr. Bruce Solheim, a professor of history at Citrus College in California. Solheim describes the paranormal experiences he says have frequented his life, culminating in a relationship with a non-human intelligence he calls, "Anzar The Progenitor." He is the author of several books, including a trilogy that describes some of the more remarkable instances of high strangeness, as well as a lengthy volume on Anzar and his research surrounding that relationship. I would note that I was invited to ask a question of Anzar, and though his answer was not a one-to-one match with the truth as I've come to understand it, there were certainly some resonances that seemed strangely appropriate. It was a personal question about my father, and therefore I won't share it here. Solheim comes off as a kind and intelligent man with an experience few others can share.
