Was it worth the 3 and a half hour runtime, does the use of AI hurt its chances to win?, how 35mm made it better and why he ended up loving the 15 minute intermission.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about the horror comedy The Monkey based on the 1980 short story "The Monkey" by Stephen King.  After stumbling upon their father's vintage toy monkey in the attic, twin brothers Hal and Bill witness a string of horrifying deaths unfolding around them.

Movie Mike and Kelsey are back to recap all the movies they saw together in June. They share what movies are a must see and which ones to skip. In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about the new comedy "Y2K” that hits theaters December 6th.  It's about a bunch of kids trying to survive when machines go haywire and start killing people at midnight on January 1st, 2000.

Movie Mike hops in for an emergency podcast to talk about the news that broke last night at Comic-Con in San Diego. Robert Downey Jr. is set to return to the film franchise as classic Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom for the newly titled Avengers: Doomsday, due out in May 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars, bowing in May 2027. Recently, Mickey Mouse has entered the public domain after the copyright on Steamboat Willie officially expired. Mike was inspired by this and in this episode shares his Top 5 ideas he has for movies that should be made once these famous characters become public domain. He explains what public domain means and other characters that have recently gone into the public domain and people are already making movies with the characters without being sued. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Hulu’s Self Reliance Starring Jake Johnson and Anna Kendrick. It’s about a guy who receives an invitation to win $1 million by playing a game where he must outwit hunters attempting to kill him. He realizes the hunters can only attack him when he's alone, but none of his friends and family believe the game is real. In the Trailer Park, Mike gives his thoughts on IF. The movie is about a young girl who gains the ability to see people's imaginary friends, referred to as "IFs" for short, who have been abandoned by the kids they helped.  Mike shares why this looks like it could be one of the best live action kid’s movies in years.

Mike and Kelsey react to the 96th Academy Awards nominations. They talk about who they think will win, who they were surprised actually got nominated and the outrage over MAJOR snubs this year . In the Movie Review, Mike and Kelsey give their thoughts on the Boys in the Boat directed by George Clooney. The film takes place during the height of the Great Depression. The members of the rowing team at the University of Washington get thrust into the spotlight as they compete for gold at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. Kelsey compares the movie vs the book and Mike explains why he thinks this movie is perfect for ‘school movie day’.  In the Trailer Park, Mike takes a look at Road House starring Jake Gyllenhaal.  It’s a reimagining of the 80s cult classic, ex-UFC fighter Dalton  takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems. It’s coming out on March 21st on Prime Video.
