07 May 2024Changing the Angry Mama Heart Through Prayer00:14:13

Today, Natalie is sharing how you can implement prayer consistently throughout the day. Doing this will help soften your heart toward your kids and husband. It will also keep you in a productive place, as you will be more aware when it comes to SIT and Praying. You’ll even find more joy because the more you commune with the Lord, the more peace you will experience!

You’re not a bad mom if you haven’t made prayer a priority; it happens to all of us!

Even moms who do prayer regularly miss it from time to time.

It wasn’t until Natalie had some serious challenges that needed addressing with her children that she finally hit the ground praying consistently, and through this, she developed the Prayer Alarm method.

21 May 2024How to Help Your Child Work Through Anger00:23:57

Today, Natalie answers a listener's question about how to help your kiddo work through their anger.

"When my child is angry, they don't know how to work through their anger (a lot like how I dealt with it), and when I try to help them, it makes them more angry and upset. I try my best to model healthy anger now, without the yelling. If you are in this situation where you have a child that is upset and yelling, probably saying things we know she doesn't mean out of anger, how do you handle it?"

She offers tips and ideas on how to validate and be productive through your child's angry outbursts.

28 May 2024Do I Really Have Jesus in My Heart if I Can’t Control My Anger?00:25:19

Can we truly claim to have accepted Christ if we struggle to embody the Fruits of the Spirit-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control?

If we receive the Spirit as a guarantee of salvation, why is self-control so challenging to achieve?

How do we overcome the “root rot” of our lives and grow good fruit in our homes?

16 Jul 2024I Yelled Shut up and Slammed My Door: Confessions of an Angry Mom00:18:48

In this episode, I am sharing a recent moment of destructive behavior and how I worked through it and recovered in a healthy way.

Last week, I yelled “SHUT UP” at my husband and slammed a door after having a frustrating conversation with one of my kids.

You’ll hear the details of what happened, how I worked through it to stop myself from escalating to any further destructive behaviors, as well as how I recovered so that I am no longer carrying the guilt of my actions.

In sharing these “Confessions of an Angry Mama” episodes, I hope to help you see that although we cannot get rid of anger, we can learn how to turn our messy moments over to the Lord. He then restores and refreshes us so we can keep walking forward with Him on our motherhood journey.

I invite you to listen in and stay for this journey.

06 Aug 2024How to Fully Rely on God When You Feel Stuck in Your Motherhood Journey00:21:56

Today, I am sharing how to FROG! What?

Yes how to Fully Rely On God when you feel stuck and like you can't seem to get answers or grow.

In today's episode, I answer...

What does it mean to fully rely on and turn to the Lord, in a practical way?

Does it mean turning to prayer instead of the web for answers?

When is it right to seek advice from others if you don't feel like you're getting it from the Lord?

What is a healthy balance between reading parenting books, seeking advice from others, and quietly seeking the Lord when trying to become a better parent?

I share the steps I use when I feel like God isn't hearing me, when I don't know when or who to turn to if I am feeling stuck on an emotional spiral, and how to surrender my heart over to the Lord.

I am inviting you to listen in and stay for this journey.

24 Oct 2024Find Your Purpose, Mama00:42:08

The enemy wants you to believe that your motherhood has no purpose.

If he can get you to believe that the work you do day in and day out means nothing, then he can keep you low on the energy spiral and keep you from instilling the love and joy of the Lord into your family.

In this episode, Natalie shares how to work through the lies and beliefs that motherhood has no true purpose. That what you are doing daily adds up to nothing. That is all lies the world and enemy are spreading. Your motherhood is rich with purpose and meaning!

Natalie's goal with this episode is to help you discredit the lies and believe that the Lord has a huge purpose for you as a mother. He wants you to see it, live it, and find joy through serving him by serving them.

This episode will help you in your motherhood journey as you learn to find purpose in your daily life as a wife and mama!

Natalie invites you to listen in and stay for this journey.

Please like, subscribe, rate, review, and share so we can help other mamas who are feeling stuck in their anger and burnout get unstuck and find JOY in their motherhood journey!

Questions Natalie asks in the episode:

Read Romans 12, then answer these questions below.

1. Am I allowing the enemy to steal my joy by believing the lies that my role and job as a mom has no purpose?

2. What am I speaking about my motherhood journey? Write three negative thoughts and replace them with three positive thoughts (look for the opposite of the negative and dig into the word to find these truths - even if you are not believing the at the moment).

3. What would appreciation and being thanked do for you?

4. How do you show appreciation and thanks to your family?

5. Is there a purpose in helping others problem-solve and fix things?

6. What does purpose look like to you? (Maybe think about what you think success looks like to answer this one).

25 Feb 2025Finding Joy in the Fire: Trading Burnout for God’s Peace in Motherhood00:19:14

Feeling angry or burnt out in your motherhood journey? You’re not alone, Mama. In this episode, we explore how to find real, lasting joy in serving the Lord by loving and serving our families. From shifting our perspective to resting in God’s strength, we’ll explore practical, faith-filled ways to trade exhaustion for His peace.

Key Points:

The Struggle is Real: Motherhood is hard, but God meets us in the mess (Psalm 127:3, John 16:33).

Reframe Your Work: Every act of love for your family is worship to God (Colossians 3:23).

Pause for Strength: Take small moments to breathe in God’s truth (Isaiah 40:31).

Joy is a Gift: It’s a fruit of the Spirit, grown as we abide in Him (Galatians 5:22-23).

Scriptures Referenced (ESV):

Psalm 127:3 – “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”

John 16:33 – “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

Isaiah 40:31 – “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength…”

Galatians 5:22-23 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…”

Takeaways:

Turn your daily tasks into acts of worship to the Lord as you love and serve the Lord through loving and serving your family.

You don’t have to fix your feelings alone—run to God and let His joy be your strength right in the middle of the fire.

Natalie invites you to listen in and stay for this journey.

04 Mar 2025Get Out of the Anxiety Rut: Set Boundaries with Daily Stress and Toxic Family God’s Way00:21:31

If you’re a Christian mom feeling trapped in an anxiety rut, Natalie understands—daily stress from kids, chores, and constant demands can wear you down. Add toxic family—like guilt trips or endless drama—and it’s no wonder you’re struggling. In this episode, Natalie walks with you through the heaviness, offering gentle encouragement, faith-rooted wisdom, and practical steps to set boundaries God’s way. There’s a way out, and you don’t have to face it alone.

Key Points:

The Anxiety Rut: Daily stress (kids, chores, chaos) + toxic family (guilt trips, drama) = overwhelm that traps you.

God’s Promise: His peace and strength can lift you out (Philippians 4:6-7).

Three Steps to Freedom:

Simplify the Stress – Let go of one thing (like a big meal for paper plates) to lighten the load.
Set a Clear Boundary – Tell toxic family, “I can’t now—later,” protecting your peace.
Rely on God’s Strength – Pray and reset to climb out of the rut.

Scriptures Referenced (ESV):

Psalm 55:22 – “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you…”
Luke 5:16 – “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Takeaways:

You’re stronger than the rut—setting one small boundary today, with God’s help, can start your climb to peace.

Natalie invites you to listen in and stay for this journey.

In this episode Natalie has the privilege of hosting Angie Baughman.

Angie shares why Bible study is important in our mothering journeys and how studying the Bible has helped her deal with childhood abuse & trauma, and the effect that healing has had on her relationship with her children.

Angie shares some amazing and profound truths about how we can hear from the Lord and know he is speaking to us - it's SO good!

Angie is a pastor, Bible teacher, author, podcaster, founder of Steady On ministries, and creator of the Step By Step Bible study method.

At sixteen, Angie was groomed into a romantic relationship with a high school teacher and faced community rejection when she went public with her story. Knowing and living by the promises of God helped free her from layers of shame, and she now creates resources that help people cultivate consistent Bible study habits.

Natalie invites you to listen in and stay for this journey.
