Tough one this week. The Mets lost their series of the year at the hands of the Padres and it could have been a whole lot worse. Took care of business. Thankfully. White Sox are legit the worst team in baseball which was fun to play against but also kind of sad. Big series from Sean Manaea, Francisco Lindor, Tylor Megill (really), and the bullpen. Carlos Mendoza still does some weird things though. Your voicemails were funny. Good blend of sports talk radio and chaos. Red Sox preview to bring us home.

This team is legit unbelievable. Not only did they get swept by the Dodgers, blow another lead, not score for 20 innings, and Pete Alonso might’ve gotten hurt. Jorge Lopez threw his glove into the crowd and then might’ve said the Mets are the worst team in the league and that he’s the worst teammate in the league. It never ends it actually never ends. Also breaking down Tylor Megill, checking in on Reed Garrett, explaining what’s happening with the casino in Flushing, and a Prospect Report.

The Mets finished off their long West Coast swing with another series victory. They held the Angels in check and are heading back home on the right foot. Tylor Megill returned on Friday and James was encouraged by his performance. Brandon Nimmo got on track, Pete Alonso and Starling returned from their injuries to get a few big hits, Jeff McNeil and Luis Guillorme showed off their wide array of defensive skills, and Taijuan Walker hurled a gem on Sunday Night Baseball. However, Edwin Díaz's 8th inning punch-out of Mike Trout was the premier moment from that game. After the breakdowns, Marc has a bunch of fun '100th Episode' stats and trivia to celebrate our milestone. The show ends with a fun listener mailbag and preview of the Brewers series.

Bittersweet is the word here. The Mets slayed Sandy Alcantara on Friday night behind Francisco Lindor's heroics and Buck Showalter’s incredibly thorough knowledge of the rule book. Then Pete Alonso and Chris Bassitt carried us to a win on Saturday, but the possible sweep faded away on Sunday despite David Peterson continuing his hot streak and Brandon Nimmo continuing to play incredible baseball. Good series, but bittersweet. Oh, and Luis Guillorme is a freak and Edwin Díaz threw a baseball 103 (102.6) mph. Let's get the Astros.
