14 Nov 2023 | Mastering M&A in Localization: Benny Orr's Extraordinary Journey | 00:55:03 | |
Welcome to another episode of the #Localization #Fireside #Chat! In our recent heart-to-heart on the #Localization #Fireside #Chat, I had the immense joy of hosting none other than the incredible Benny Orr. His journey through the language and localization world is not just a story but an inspiring testament to unwavering dedication and an innovative spirit. Benny kicked off his adventure in 1987, laying the foundation of Milim, a writing and translation service. Over two intense decades, he navigated Milim through a tapestry of growth and success, collaborating with High-Tech giants, government entities, and defense corporations worldwide. Milim's forte was in the intricate realms of technical writing, training development, and the expansive arena of translation and localization. We even took on the delicate art of court interpreting. The climax of this journey? The acquisition of Milim by the industry titan TransPerfect in 2011 - an undeniable triumph. Post-Milim, Benny took the reins as Senior Consultant and M&A maestro at #TransPerfect (2014-2018). His role was more than a title; it was a symphony of leadership in #M&A and orchestrating #BPO initiatives for the biggest language services provider on the planet. Benny's touch was marked by corporate development prowess, strategic thinking, and the actual implementation of those grand plans. His ability to weave relationships with industry leaders was truly a thing of beauty. And let's not forget his laser focus on #emerging #trends, tech adoption, and championing #innovation. As President of the Israeli Division (2011-2014), Benny wasn't just a leader; he was a visionary architect. The division's transformation into the #Middle #East #powerhouse of a major #American corporation was no small feat. Benny's enduring #relationships with #blue-chip clients became the heartbeat of the division, a valuable asset for the larger corporation. Then came 2013, and Benny ventured into the world of #ConsultOrr, a decade-long journey thriving on #strategic brilliance. His ability to fuse a global vision with #down-to-earth #practicality has been the secret sauce behind his successful M&A initiatives. It's more than skill; it's an art form, honed through hands-on experiences, including merging his own company into the industry's behemoth. Collaborating with startups, tech gems, family businesses, and non-profits, Benny's influence was felt far and wide. As a mentor, his practical wisdom became a guiding force for entrepreneurs and leaders, helping them turn strategies into tangible success stories. To Benny, your unique experience across the Language Industry spectrum, from LSPs to Technology Developers, adds a layer of authenticity that resonates profoundly. Your skill set - #Corporate #Development, #Strategic #Thinking, #International #Business #Development, #Business #Coaching, and #Board of #Directors finesse - is nothing short of a #masterclass. To #Benny and our incredible #audience, your #unwavering support and engagement make these conversations truly special.
