26 Jan 2023Is Money Good?00:18:53

Is money good? That’s the question our man in red, Rudy Mawer, is asking and answering today on Living The Red Life. Rudy is preaching from the pulpit that is his personal cash pile, using sound logic and reasoning to explain how money can create freedom for YOU.

With 30% of marriages ending in divorce because of financial stress, wouldn’t life be simpler if you had the means to ease that stress? What are the emotional triggers holding you back and preventing you from really cashing in on a future that is well-paid and financially secure?

It all starts with severing the preconceived ideas we have around money being used for bad, and just seeing it as a tool. A tool that can collapse time, pay our bills, see us flying in first class, creating greatness, and adding value to the world. How we look at money defines how we engage with it. And how we engage with it defines our life.

This is Living The Red Life. And it’s the gospel truth when it comes to sharpening YOUR laser focus on the things you can do to earn that financial freedom. Check it out now, and thank Rudy later.

“Money provides freedom, right? It’s a super important part of freedom. Money also provides speed, and it helps you collapse time.” - Rudy Mawer

28 Oct 2024Building a Million $ Business WITHOUT Ads! w/Tori Dunlap00:26:53

Tori Dunlap, founder of *Her First $100K* and the bestselling author of *Financial Feminist*, who shares her expertise on organic growth, audience engagement, and brand building. Tori delves into her philosophy of "serve before you sell," explaining why businesses should focus on providing value before asking anything of their audience. She emphasizes that creating trust through valuable content—not simply promoting products—is the foundation of a loyal community. Tori also highlights the importance of narrowing down a brand’s message and voice to resonate deeply with a target audience, as trying to appeal to everyone often results in a diluted brand identity.

As the conversation progresses, Tori explains her strategic use of automated messaging for identifying and engaging her most loyal followers, which allows her to tailor content and even upsell products based on their engagement level. She discusses the value of moving followers from social media to platforms she owns, like email lists or her podcast, so she’s not reliant on the algorithms for business stability. Tori concludes by stressing the significance of being authentic and even polarizing in her messaging, which helps attract a committed audience aligned with her values and vision. For those looking to grow a community or launch a brand, Tori’s approach provides practical insights into cultivating an engaged audience that’s built on trust and shared values.

28 Sep 2023How To Charge 10x More (& Why You MUST!) - Premium Prices 10100:25:44

Pricing! How do you work out what the right amount to charge your customer is? How can you charge more? Why should you? Charging a premium for your products or services has been a life-changing lesson for Rudy in business, and today he's spilling the tea on WHY.

Charging premium prices will transform the way you do business. Over time Rudy has learned that the best paying clients are the ones that are investing the most. And that it's just as much effort to sell a $10K product as it is to sell a $500 one - so you do the math on how you want to spend your time and energy!

Do you want one thousand $500 headaches to make $50K, or do you want to deal with maybe ten $10K challenges to net the same amount? Do you want to have offers that are resilient in the face of a recession?

Rudy is giving us the answers to these questions (and more) as he breaks down how to take someone who doesn't even know about you to become a raving fan and repeat buyer. Understand the ascension model and how to create pricing tiers for your products or services.

In this episode, we’re joined by Gino Wickman, a renowned entrepreneur, author, and creator of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). Gino shares his invaluable insights into achieving entrepreneurial success while maintaining balance and avoiding burnout. Drawing from his 30 years of experience, he discusses the importance of finding a personal "magic formula" for work-life balance. Gino emphasizes the delicate equilibrium between pushing yourself hard enough to avoid boredom, but not so hard that you burn out. He highlights the concept of a "work container"—a framework for maximizing energy and output while staying within your capacity for both work and life.

Throughout the conversation, Gino offers practical advice on optimizing productivity and maintaining focus, from how to structure your workday to how to adapt your formula over time. He also explores how business owners can scale effectively, noting that, like building a skyscraper, once a business is up and running, it requires less day-to-day effort to maintain. Gino also dives into the importance of systems and delegating effectively to prevent overload. 13 Jul 2023Debunking the Myth of Work/Life Balance00:21:45

Bienvenido a Miami! Our Man in Red is coming to you live from his new Miami office – and things are popping off if you’re Living The Red Life. Today host Rudy Mawer is talking about how to achieve a Work/Life balance – which can be challenging at the best of times!

Rudy is challenging the blanket assertion that a 40-hour work week is what is best for you.

If it’s doing a job you don’t enjoy just to pay the bills, then what you have is a fulfillment issue rather than a work/life balance one – and you need to find ways to follow your passion and work on something where the hours won’t matter.

Input equals output, and we can’t always look at the 40-hour work week in isolation. Rudy is opening our eyes to the bigger picture of what else we need to consider before letting other people tell us what is healthy in terms of a work/life balance.

What do you need to do right now for the season of business that you’re in — in relation to the goals that you have set for yourself? Game-changing advice and insights are just inside the doors of Wonderland. Come on in and join us!

“I’m always against blanket statements because they don’t account for individual variability, right? And they don’t account for – probably like you – individual passion.” ~ Rudy Mawer

06 Jun 2024Mastering Lead Gen in 3 Phases : Turning Leads into Lifelong Customers and Superfans!00:22:11

In today's episode I delve into the three phases of lead generation: cold, warm, and ultra-hot leads. Cold leads are those who are unfamiliar with your brand, requiring substantial effort to convert. Warm leads are somewhat familiar with your offerings and have a higher likelihood of conversion, while ultra-hot leads are highly engaged, long-term followers or previous customers ready to make a purchase without much convincing. I cover the importance of transforming cold leads into warm and eventually ultra-hot leads through strategic content creation, effective marketing, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

This episode will give you practical steps to increase lead quality and conversion rates, such as creating viral content, optimizing ads, and engaging in joint ventures. Also one that people often overlook is the need for compelling offers and consistent branding to attract and retain leads. By nurturing leads through valuable content and building a loyal community, businesses can achieve higher conversion rates and customer loyalty. I give some examples from various industries, including MLMs, to illustrate the process of turning cold leads into super fans, highlighting the significant revenue potential and customer retention benefits of this approach.

20 Jun 2024Why You're Not A Millionaire Yet...00:22:20

Why you're not a millionaire yet. The underlying reasons why many people struggle to become millionaires. Drawing from my extensive experience in the industry and coaching numerous clients, I highlight common pitfalls such as frequent pivoting, procrastination blended with perfectionism, and an excessive focus on minor details. Consistent action, rather than constantly switching ideas or seeking perfection, is crucial for financial success. The importance of having a clear and compelling way to present and sell one's product, as many entrepreneurs fail to effectively communicate their value proposition.

There are also mental and attitudinal barriers that can prevent wealth accumulation. A lack of belief in one’s potential to become a millionaire can significantly hinder progress. This mindset, combined with an inadequate work ethic and a misallocation of effort, often leads to stagnation. I highly advocate for a shift in perspective, urging listeners to adopt a confident, hustle-driven approach to their ventures. By fostering a belief in their ability to achieve substantial financial goals and focusing on high-impact actions, individuals can accelerate their path to becoming millionaires.

Why is it that some experts are broke as entrepreneurs? And why does it seem as though a lot of stupid people are the ones getting rich? Understanding what it takes to influence and create an impact in this online world takes more than just being an expert in your field.

It takes the ability to know when to collaborate with someone who may be smarter than you at marketing. It takes introspection to know when it's time to learn the basics of another industry so that you can apply your skills there.

In the battle of expert versus influencer, Rudy is showing us the way forward in terms of collaboration, as well as individual pursuit, by drawing on his years of experience thinking outside the box and knowing that sometimes to get to that level of 'expert' will just take too damn long.

Whether you are an aspiring influencer or expert, you need each other. And you, personally, always need to be looking to improve your skillset in the areas in which you aren't that strong. How you do that is today's red-hot topic. Welcome to Wonderland. Let's get busy Red Life Living!

05 Sep 2024Frameworks Are The Key To TRUE Freedom in Life & Business00:27:04

In Todays episode, I dive deep into one of the most critical aspects of scaling a successful business: the power of frameworks and predictability. Over the past decade, I've learned firsthand that while entrepreneurs thrive on freedom and creativity, most of the people we hire crave clear systems and processes. I share how I've scaled my companies to over 110 staff members and the mistakes I made by not implementing structured frameworks early on. I wrongly assumed that managers would naturally develop efficient systems within their departments, but I discovered that without clear guidance from the top, things can quickly become chaotic, especially in the dynamic entrepreneurial world.

I discuss how essential it is to establish robust frameworks in your business from the ground up, focusing on areas that will be critical for years to come, such as social media, recruiting, and sales funnels. By creating detailed SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and training materials, you can significantly reduce errors, streamline operations, and make delegation much easier. I emphasize the importance of starting with a flowchart to visualize the entire process, then breaking it down into core deliverables, and finally creating comprehensive SOPs for each step. This approach not only simplifies your business but also prepares it for scalable growth, ensuring that your team is equipped to operate efficiently and effectively from day one.

The episode emphasizes the necessity for entrepreneurs to develop a resilient mindset, not only to achieve success and happiness but also to create a productive and positive work environment.

10 Jun 2024Empire Lessons From Buying 10,000 Apartments, Jets & More w/ Brad Sumrok00:23:00

Today I've got Brad Sumrok in the house. Termed "The Apartment King". We discuss the conventional wisdom surrounding education and real estate investment. Brad explains how societal norms lead many to unquestioningly spend large sums on a traditional college education, only to find limited job prospects afterward. Reflecting on his own experience, Brad details his journey through the corporate world, achieving degrees and following the expected path until it left him unfulfilled and financially insecure. His turning point came after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, which inspired him to explore real estate as a viable alternative to traditional employment.

Brad shares how attending seminars and seeking mentorship transformed his career, allowing him to amass a portfolio of over 7,800 apartment units. Initially intimidated by large real estate deals, he emphasizes the importance of starting small and gradually taking on bigger projects. His story highlights how multifamily properties, starting with a 32-unit building, offered a more streamlined and profitable path than single-family investments. He also underscores the value of investing in oneself through education and networking, as these personal investments often yield higher returns than any single asset class. The episode stresses the power of community and continuous learning in achieving long-term success.

25 Mar 2024Mastering Payments: Unlocking the Secrets to Sustainable Growth in Business00:26:00

In this episode, we dive deep into the world of payment processing, where stability is king. Discovering that payment processors prefer steady growth over sudden spikes, emphasizing the need for consistency in business performance. Financial stability and risk management are top priorities for processors, requiring startups and ecommerce businesses to prove their financial strength to gain trust.

We also discuss how useful it can be to communicate everything to you're processor, so when they see huge spikes, they will be less inclined to hold your money, and how building a reliable track record, known as "seasoning," is a key factor in earning approval.

By understanding these principles, businesses can form solid partnerships with payment processors, paving the way for sustainable growth in the digital marketplace.

In This Episode:

  • Payment processors prioritize consistency over rapid growth.
  • Rapid growth can be alarming to payment processors, as it raises questions about its origin and sustainability.
  • The ideal growth rate for payment processors is around 5 to 8%.
  • Sudden spikes in growth may raise concerns about financial stability.
  • Understanding the financial capacity to support growth is essential for startups and ecommerce businesses
  • Seasoning of the account (i.e., demonstrating a track record of consistent performance) is critical for approval by payment processors.
  • Payment processors value transparency and communication from businesses regarding their financial status and growth plans.

25 May 2023The Art of Negotiation00:20:37

Negotiation is a skill that everyone should possess. Some would say it's an art. Rudy Mawer believes that being able to negotiate is as important as being able to communicate. It's a key part of life that will make you better in your business and personal life.

And he still negotiates successfully in business every day. So he's well positioned to advise us on how we can overcome that uncomfortable feeling we get when we are asked to persuade someone about seeing things from another point of view.

Negotiation can lead to new perspectives. It can mean that you bring in better staff to your business and that you have more harmony on the home front. Join the Man in Red as he lays it down for us: negotiation is indeed an art, and by harnessing its power, we can become better in business. Let's crush it.
