It’s Week 5 in the tent, meaning we are now halfway through. This week’s “Bakers Make the World Go Round” segment proves more infuriating than insightful. However, this week was a return to form and everything we love about GBBO. The person who needed to go home was indeed sent packing, and this week’s Star Baker really earned the title this week. It’s the Semi-Finals and that means it’s time to switch it up. This week, we begin making food to feed a family as opposed to just three judges. And our main is also in the familial vein with the chef’s being expected to create a full family sized meal. If no one went home last week, years of cookery show watching has proven that two will have to leave this week and that is certainly what occurred. We also take a look at what it means to be who you are in relation to food and culture. As always, it’s a burner of an episode and we know y’all will enjoy. It really was the best iteration of the multiple attempts at creating an “American” take on The Great British Bake-Off and was a delight to review and recap. Week 4 in the Tent was a rough one. Maybe because we are a bunch of left leaning elitist, but boy did this week seem a bit, well a bit racist to be honest with you. Tee even found an article about it that is this week’s “Bakers Make the World Go Round” segment.  But we talked it through, made some jokes and recapped the episode as we always do. Back on set once again and this time we backed a truck up full of produce. Wildly colored carrots, beets, citrus and something called a loquat. Get on in here and sample our wares. This week, these chefs were on it. Beautifully seasoned dishes plated in ways that made the food damn near art which means we had a great time discussing the show’s output this week. This time however, we have grown up and left our father’s house (in this case Stays Krunchy in Milk) and are our own, independent podcast (or Podkast as it were) So, we tweaked the name, but everything else is the same. It’s Nicjuof What’s The Tea? It's the Semi-Finals and as in all matters sport, this is when players step up. This was hands down, one of the best episodes in the history of this program. It was a master class in baking and a delight to witness. Until it wasn't.

Signature – 8 Patisserie Styled Layered Slices 3 Hours Prep

Technical-Assigned by Pru Sable Briton Tarte 2 hours 45 minutes of prep. Basically giant cookies with jam and pistachio crème mousseline

Showstopper- Themed Banquet Display made up of 12 individual entremets arranged around an edible centerpiece. 5 hours of prep time.

Next week is the Final, and it looks to be something truly fantastic.
