Are you building legacy within your business? // Building legacy should be one of the highest priorities in your business outside of economics itself. To build legacy is to invest in the next generation and the Kingdom.

Unfortunately these days when people say “I want to build my legacy”, what they really mean is that they want fame and fortune. To truly build your legacy however, is to sacrifice now and invest in a future that you won’t be around for. That is true Kingdom legacy; building legacy wealth and impacting the generations to come.

But don’t get it confused, building your legacy or your legacy business is not about fame. It’s not about the things of this world but rather, it’s sowing into missions and kingdom-hearted endeavours that will change lives for the glory of the King to come, Jesus Christ.

Leaving a legacy is about the generation to follow using your roof as their floor. How can you better their lives in such a way that they don’t have to start from the ground up? How can you leave this world in better shape?

If you want to know how to create a legacy, you must first ask yourself - what legacy do you want to leave?

Maslow’s Hierarchy of LIES! // As businesspeople I’m sure you’ve heard of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs but today, I want to expose to you why it’s actually Maslow’s hierarchy of lies!

As we dive deep in this teaching, we’ll unpack that Maslow wasn’t a Christian and that the pyramid of needs he built relies heavily on the premise that the end goal of life is ‘happiness’. That is, go toward pleasure and avoid or escape the pain–in other words, hedonism. I want to use this video to warn you and encourage you away from becoming Christian hedonists or falling into Christian hedonism.

If you’re a Christian in business (Christian businessman or businesswoman) then there’s a very real chance as a Christian, materialism could be a temptation for you. It’s the one thing the devil has to lure you away from the long road. He will water the seed in you that will turn you into a materialistic Christian if you don’t learn to deny yourself and follow Jesus. This does not mean that you can’t have anything or do anything. What it DOES mean is that you need to put Jesus first and be satisfied in him SO THAT when the material wealth of this world comes, it doesn’t pull you under. This isn’t so much a deny yourself sermon but when Jesus said deny yourself and follow me, he meant it. He meant to put the Kingdom of God first in your life and everything else will follow.

So, to Christian business owners everywhere, take heed. Make sure you’re putting Christ first in all that you do in order to not fall prey to the things of this world. Christian business principles only work when we implement them and we have to implement them when it feels difficult to do so.

Transfer Of Wealth In The Bible and 2020 // the transfer of wealth in the bible is plain to see but the transfer of wealth in the bible and 2020 (and beyond) might not be as obvious. In this video I want to talk to you about what is being prophesied about as the greatest transfer of wealth in history.

There’s a lot of prophetic words going around right now regarding the transfer of wealth especially in light of COVID. Because of this, I want to take you back to the transfer of wealth in scripture to see what we can learn practically from wealth transfer in the bible.

Wealth transfer is a biblical concept that we see God enact over and over again in Abraham, Solomon and Joseph - and that’s just the Old Testament!  The transfer of wealth (supernatural wealth transfer) seems to happen when God has a point to make about something. It happens on the back of promises and it happens purely as blessing too.

Wealth transfer in 2020 doesn’t necessarily look like livestock and fabric but it may look like businesses, money and assets. Let me take you on a journey of biblical wealth transfer so we can have a good understanding of biblical wealth and what to potentially expect in this time and how to navigate it with wisdom.

Dave Munson is the founder of the Saddleback Leather Company. A company he started after not being able to find the product he was looking for. The business exploded...

However, as he explains in this week's video when he fixed his poor leadership, his profits soared.

Dave Munson, from Portland, Oregon, owns

Saddleback Leather Co. based out of Fort Worth,

Texas. He first started selling the leather bags he

designed off the tailgate of his old Toyota Land Cruiser

with his Black Lab, Blue. He has since opened a factory

in Mexico, married the girl of his dreams and has a

daughter and son.

In 1999, Dave was a volunteer English teacher in

Southern Mexico and sketched out a leather bag to be

made to carry his books. Back in the US, 4 or 5 times a

day people would stop him to ask where they could buy

a bag like his. In 2003, he finally moved to Juarez

Mexico with his dog just across the border from El

Paso, Texas. He had a father and son send bags up to

the Juarez bus station and he would pick them up there

and take them to El Paso to sell on eBay. He and Blue

slept on the floor of his $100/mo. apartment for 3 years

with no hot water, A/C, or heat, for all of the money he

saved on living expenses, he reinvested into buying

more leather bags.

In 2006, he met his wife on Myspace and moved to San

Antonio, Texas. In 2008, they started their factory, Old

Mexico Manufacturing in Leon, Guanajuato to make

their own leather goods. He found that nobody cares

about your stuff as much as you do. It has been

humming ever since. But not without some very

difficult situations and learning 1000 ways to get

cheated.

However, it’s our average thinking that will keep us back when it comes to building our business. So in today’s live stream, I want to talk to you about taking thoughts captive - from average to renewed thinking.

Taking your thoughts captive is a directive that can be found in 2 Corinthians and one that you need to follow in order to transform your mind. Transformation of your mind cannot happen without taking your thoughts into captivity first. Once you are conscious of the thoughts you have going on you can begin to renew your mind with the thoughts and words of Christ!

If your average thinking is holding you back listen to this renew your mind sermon and try to understand how your renewed mind might look. What won’t you say to yourself any longer? What new things, holy things, good things, pleasing things will you speak over yourself and into your spirit to pursue a renewed mindset? A renewed mind is the key to winning spiritual warfare daily; learning to recognise when your thoughts are under attack and when they’re not aligning with the scriptures.

Transforming your mind (transforming your mindset) will no doubt be a lifelong journey but as a Christian in business, you have a duty to work on it not only for the sake of yourself but also for your customers and your staff.

For most of us moving house is stressful!

BUT, for Brig Sorber and his family it became an opportunity to build a large family business. In fact, last year his company conducted over 640,000 moves for his customers.

He saw a gap in the market and dedicated lots of hard work for 30 years and has managed to turn it into the largest moving company in the U.S.

However, it wasn’t always easy... in fact there was a period of time when he says they just 'sucked!'

James 4:4 says:

So this is where we get to choose…

We can choose either intimacy with the Lord, which leads to heaven’s favour; or intimacy with the world, which leads to separation from God.

The power and role of wealth (christian prosperity) is misunderstood because of the way people have read certain bible passages and misappropriated them or misunderstood their intention.

The truth is that biblical prosperity is a real thing and christian wealth is a powerful tool that the Lord can and will use to benefit those around us–but we have a responsibility to understand these biblical prosperity principles and manage being a wealthy christian.

In this video I talk about Theophilus and the way he used his biblical wealth to fund the Kingdom. If you want more biblical wealth secrets or biblical wealth principles then listen up as I talk about Joseph of Arimathea who used his wealth to be part of the story of Jesus death and resurrection.

But what about biblical wealth creation principles? I’ve got you covered! We’ll be taking a look at Joses from the New Testament who uses his business gift of trading to create wealth and then share it with the apostles!

Listen up, are there rich christians who mismanage or abuse their wealth? Of course. Have we been called to steer clear of wealth in order to avoid mismanaging it? No. While there are many bible stories warning you of what happens when you don’t steward or manage it correctly, there are just as many other stories of those who did handle it correctly and as a result were a massive blessing to the Kingdom. 

If you are a christian in business then you have an opportunity to create and manage wealth in a way that brings honour and glory to the body of Christ and the Kingdom of God. Whether you’re a christian businessman or christian businesswoman, all christian owners are presented with the opportunity to fund the Kingdom or bless others.
