Today, Timothy Ateek is back in the podcast studio with Emma Dotter to share how God used Psalm 96 in his time away this summer. This enthronement psalm calls us to worship God with a new song blessing His name, or his character and everything that is praiseworthy about Him. What is the song in our hearts to God? Is God reigning in our lives in such a way that we naturally want to share the gospel with others? Just as Israel was to be a light to surrounding nations, so we are to be a light not just in Dallas, Texas, but to the ends of the earth. Today’s passage discusses the unfair trial and death of Jesus. Oftentimes, believers can fly past Jesus’s death to get to the resurrection, but today Ryan Garrahan & Emma Dotter unpack how Jesus’ complete innocence can challenge believers today. Emma Dotter is joined by Ethan Howard, and they unpack the pre-exilic prophets and how our God is not as wrathful as we may think. 12 of the 17 prophets are pre-exilic prophets. They are prophets that are prophesying before the exile of the nation of Israel and Judah. By God sending the prophets he is asking his people to make the right choice of keeping covenant to follow him, but the people of Israel don’t do that.

How can I fight the enemy with my actions? A common question for Christians, with many different answers. Emma Dotter interviews Lucas Esteves as he gives the listeners what may feel like a simple answer, but if you are willing to truly apply this practice, it can be radical.
