Episode 56. Charlie Hustle has earned himself a reputation as a wild-man, savage, graffiti savant. Raised by alcoholic parents in Brooklyn and then Staten Island, CH fell in love with graffiti by the 3rd grade. It gave him a community and a brotherhood that helped him navigate finding his own identity. But as New York changed under Giuliani in the 1990s, that community quickly escalated to violence, PCP every day and over 100 arrests in and out of Rikers Island. By 20, Charlie discovered recovery in Arizona where he unrolled in acting classes at a community college. But then there was relapse, more violence, more arrests, taking on white leaders in the Mojave Desert prison system, and finally applying to halfway houses in Florida without medical insurance and bit-by-bit turning it around. Charlie has seen it all. Today he has 6 months sober and is happily settled in the Massachusetts countryside.

Episode 57. This week we have a very different picture of New York. Ian Swordy escaped his wasp-y, Long Island upbringing in pursuit of punk rock, partying and political anarchy in the late 90s/early aughts. And while everyone around him got their legs snapped along the way, Ian seemed to coast through it all on a plate of blueberry pancakes and a message from God. That is until the message ran out. Ian eventually found himself alone, broke and wasted, waiting for someone who was never coming back. Today Ian—an artist—is 2 years sober and works un-ironically at a craft brewery in Bushwick. After a scholarship to a top notch university, things got wild. To pay the bills and fund a blooming habit, Mads turned to the world’s oldest profession. Morning sessions with repeat johns led to afternoon seminars in Quantum Physics. And now, on the other side of it all, thriving, she shares her riveting tale of the road less travel on another episode of It’s All Bad.

Episode 95. Steve joins us today 10 years sober. Before that it was bad from the beginning. He grew up skating in San Diego and quickly gravitated towards alcoholism as a one-man sport. Then it was black outs by 3rd period. Hand tattoos. Dropping out of high school. Selling dope. Running fraud rings. Rack-and-returns. Friends getting life terms. Nodding out on the freeway. And shooting heroin in the hospital. But then, for Steve, came second chances and learning how to live. Thanks for joining us.

Edgar started smoking crack at 13, and caught his first case at age 12, then moved onto meth at 14, then got jumped into gang at 14! countless GTA convictions, plus surviving several murder attempts on his life!  His story is unbelievable, you just can’t make up a story up like his! There’s even more riveting tales than what I’ve just listed that are on this episode! And in good fashion, he’s now thriving sober where the promises are so ever present in his life today! What an incredible episode! This man is a true living miracle!

Episode 99. Selena has stories of getting raided by the Culver City swat  team with her parents! Getting a felony at 11 years old! Started using cocaine for medicinal purposes! Dating stage 5 clingers! Escaping from rehab in the hills of Malibu!  And a drug fueled threesome with an old lady and her boyfriend that went all bad!! Plus her story where she has a picture that proves ghosts really do exist!!!

Episode 100. All of us here at Its All Bad know Chris as the salt to the earth. But he always wasn't like that. Imagine smoking so much crack that you smoked yourself sober. Hard to believe, but dude worked a rehab facility in the same building docked with a clothing optional gay hotel/bathhouse in West Hollywod.

Daniel grew up in wine country but made the school papers, getting wasted from his first drink of cheap vodka, becoming legend before graduation. Moving to LA shortly after to become an actor, his agent sent him to an accent coach to try to get him auditions outside the "funny gay friend" rolls he was up...15 minutes later telling him there was nothing she could do.  Daniel is a gem and dishes to the gang all the stories of excess, debauchery of wasted days and broken LA dreams. 

Danny also shares some stories about growing up behind the iron curtain and him and Reno share some rehab sexcapades on this week's It's All Bad.

Episode 7. Keith goes “tweak-walking.” Guest Dylan searches for heroin on the streets of New Orleans and winds up in the shit. While guests Gabby and Rose tell tales of blacking out in Austin and running with the Shoreline Crips in 1990’s Venice, CA. What starts as funny this week turns dark with a death-defying tale from Hollywood’s infamous Royal Viking Motel. Buckle up or run. Either way, It’s All Bad.

Episode 8. Ever wondered what to say to the police when they book you? Well here’s what not to do. Actually these stories all end relatively well. But still, I wouldn’t live by their advice. Keith tries giving someone else’s name. Gabby and Dylan try sweet-talking and cracking jokes (cops love that.) And Mike tries to buy himself some time. Then later, he just finds the cocaine party where they're “cool with it.” If you’ve got other bright ideas, we’d love to hear them. Otherwise, we recommend staying out of trouble and enjoying this episode of It’s All Bad.

Episode 9. Our guests this week are Michael Marcus and his mother Mary. Mary is 81 years old and has been sober for 34 years. Before that, she lived deep in the world of prescription drugs, easy money and cocaine addiction. She was Mike’s crimey and confidant in the drug game and together they made it through all the violence, heartbreak and insanity to be here tonight and share their story. Mike is now an author and actor. His book “#1 Son And Other Stories” chronicles some of the events you’ll hear about tonight. Check it out. Thanks for listening.

Episode 12. Why do people do meth? I don’t know but we sort of touch on it. Special guest Annie breaks down her theory on the different kinds of meth heads while Joey gets into the pure, evil thrill of sleeplessness and crime. Also sex. Lots of sex and sexual deviance. But we’ll end on a high note. Breaking up dog fights, finding family life in neighborhood Meth Moms and simply changing the world, one hit off the pookie at a time. Enjoy.

Episode 13. People will smoke anything when they’re desperate for a high. Concrete, baking powder, little pieces of smashed-up plastic—whatever it takes. “If you believe it, you can achieve it.” Joey’s been there. Russian Danny too. You’ll hear their stories tonight. Then Annie teaches us how (not) to defend yourself as a Sovereign Citizen in court, and Keith tries to track down some Red Devil Lye.
