We didn't have our show opener (the broadcast sign off) and I was literally pulling songs from my collection of demos and private press recordings of Iowa bands. Ben Smasher's 319 Dude Bandcamp Archive was a big source for material. We are opening with the same song we opened with six years ago, Moveable Feast's "The End of the World" off the Another Iowa Compilation.... Uncharted Territories LP. This was a way to share my collection with people and to indulge in Iowa's history of punk rock, hardcore, metal, etc. Now we are on four stations, a flourishing podcast, and our Bandcamp Archive so that these recordings don't disappear into the ether.

Night Listeners - We are trying something different tonight and everything is electronic. I don't know if this was the right move or not but in true IBT fashion we have a pro-produced slick tracks mixed with the best of the bedroom electronic noise projects. One note I want to make is the inclusion of both EHI and Deerslayer. EHI was a Des Moines based noise project by Brian Noring who also started the FDR Tape label. Deerslayer was the basement experimental solo act of Adam Groves of The PeePees, Brazil, and Wheel and the Fence. Both of these are probably the most elusive of everything I will play. Homemade and true to the core value of this style of music.
