Welcome back to IndieQuest, a celebration of all things indie and obscure in the realm of video games!
We have a big episode for you all today!
Your hosts for this episode Captain Drachma and Josh are here to bring the indie game goodness that you've come to expect!
First off we chit chat a bit about some of Josh's highlights from the Steam Next Fest 2023, then we go over some of our highlights from the Annapurna Interactive Showcase, and finally we each bring a game to the quest log where both titles coincidentally have some commentary about pollution (neat!).
Enjoy, and thanks as always for supporting the show!

Welcome back to IndieQuest, a celebration of the indie and obscure! Your home for all things indie games!
On this episode we bring back one of our favorite topics of conversation, second opinions. On second opinion episodes, each host plays a game from the quest log that somebody else brought, and takes them to task. Do they agree with the placement of the game on the quest log? Was it a good recommendation? These episodes are mostly an excuse for us to take suggestions from our friends, and actually get through some of the games on the quest log that we're interested in.
Other topics of conversation are summer time, amusement parks, and steam sale pickups!
Enjoy! :D

From the store description, A Space For The Unbound is... "A magical adventure about two high school sweethearts set at the end of their school days - and the end of the world. Explore a crumbling town and help friends face their inner demons, which could be the key to stopping reality itself disintegrating. And don’t forget to pet the cats."
As always for our reviews there will be a top level and spoiler free review in the first half, and we will give you plenty of warning before we dive into the spoiler-filled back half of the show. On this episode of IndieQuest, a podcast all about the wonderful word of indie video games, we bring an in depth review of what could possibly be 2023's biggest indie game, SEA OF STARS!
From the Store description... "Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer."
This game was kickstarted in March of 2020, gaining funding in just under 7 hours. It's set in the same universe as Sabotage Studio's previous title, The Messenger, but in a different era and in an entirely different gameplay style.
We've been looking forward to this game for quite some time, so we thought it was only right to bring our friend Burgerchamp along for the ride.
We talk about everything... from all the intricacies of the gameplay, to the beautiful art design, to the various mini games (WHEELS!), where it falls on the quest log, and more (A LOT more)... then we round out the show with spoilers (which start at 1:29:00).

Listen to the DRAMA unfold!! (or what most likely will happen is we'll just hang out and chat about some cool games...)

In this JAM PACKED episode 100 we discuss our Indie Game Mt. Rushmores! All 3 of us thought long and hard about 4 indie games that define our personal tastes. The conversation is a lot of fun and mostly us talking about a bunch of games that we can't get enough of, what's not to love?
Then after the festivities we take some emails from audience members where they tell us about some of their favorite indiequest moments! (It's a little self-indulgent but made us all warm and fuzzy) These emails include one of our audience members rating how good or bad we did at the Quest Log over the years!
Thanks for 100 episodes, here's to many more!!

Welcome to our yearly game of the year award show - The IndieQuest Awards!
2024 was likely one of the biggest years for indie games. The titles spanned from intricate gameplay focused titles, to quirky gated exploration titles, to vast narratives that knocked us off our feet, and so much more...
We have a number of categories that we each bring our own winners for (best ost, best art direction, etc) and then at the end we come up with a consensus for IndieQuest's GOTY award.
These episodes are a labor of love, and we look forward to them all year long. Get your snacks, get comfy, and hang out with us for the longest episode of IndieQuest yet.
Happy New Year!

We're finally returning to our complete SuperGiant games catalogue reviews!
On this episode we played and talked about their second title, Transistor, that released in 2014. Transistor is a game with unique gameplay systems, an incredibly dense sci fi story, and still maintains that SuperGiant quality in its art direction.
This podcast is primarily spoiler-free and then after a break we go in depth and break down our opinions on the story. (there's an obvious spoiler warning, and check the chapters!)
