28 Nov 2023Coaching vs. Influencing, Part 1: The Pros and Cons of Joining the Coaching Industry00:42:11

220: Coach vs. Influencer…which one are you? Two incredibly lucrative careers… but neither of them are right for everyone! This is part one of a series where I’ll dive in to the pros and cons of coaching vs. influencing.

I’ve got a unique perspective on both industries.. because I’ve been both! I’ve worked with brands as an influencer and worked in the industry for 6 years doing sales. Later, I built a successful online coaching business, which I still do today. I witnessed the extravagance of influencing and the bureaucracy of brand deals. Coaching gave me insight into new pathways to monetize without third parties and how to really use your zone of genius.

Now, I want to share exactly why I chose this route, why I don’t desire to be an influencer, and my POV on the ultimate question - can you do both?

In Part 1, a non-sugar-coated summary will enter your ears. You’ll get a real BTS look into the life of a coach. Part 2 (coming out next week) will focus on the life of an influencer.

In this episode, I discuss:

  • How coaching allows you to make your own rules
  • Building a flex business that evolves with you
  • The limitless revenue streams of coaching
  • The overwhelming learning curve that you may be navigating alone
  • Constantly investing because the coaching industry over-emphasizes financial success
  • How to know if coaching is the path for you

251: Caroline Feda is a former Pitch Perfect alumni and an incredible psychic medium who's here to share her insights on making business decisions spiritually and aligned with your soul instincts!

Snippets to catch this episode:

- ‘The only way you're going to start trusting yourself more is if you start taking action. Seeing it pay off and then like putting those in your little like mental bank and being like, Oh, okay. When I did that, nobody died. I was safe.’

- ‘It's just showing yourself that you can be in those spaces with the same people. You can have intelligent conversations. And just because I don't have a 10,000 followers on Instagram doesn't mean I don't have something to say.’

- ‘I just think we live in a world where everybody thinks everybody was just born good at what they do.’

- ‘And that's because they started, they practiced, they build the muscle, they got better and they refined. You cannot refine anything if you never put it out there.’

Stick around until the end for a special discount on Caroline's readings exclusively for our listeners. Trust me, after hearing this episode, you'll want to book a session with her!

Topics covered:

- Caroline's journey as a psychic medium and intuitive coach

- The genius behind her business name "Peace in Chaos" and how it came to be

- Navigating life and developing psychic abilities in bustling cities like LA and New York

- Common struggles Caroline's clients face, including career decisions and finding deeper meaning

- The difference between intuition and anxiety when making business decisions

- Caroline's experience with Pitch Perfect and other investments

11 Dec 2023Dating AND Running a Business as a Full Time Traveler: RE-AIR from Make Shift Happen with Samantha Daily00:49:00

222: The holiday season is here, and motivation for getting work done is dwindling. We want to laugh, chill by the crackling fire, eat candy canes, and gossip at holiday parties. Today’s episode is giving post-holiday party gossip fun - it’s a re-air of Samantha Daily’s podcast, "Make Shift Happen," that I was featured on as a guest. It's the audio equivalent of the holiday cookies you’ve been craving.

Sam and I dive into juicy travel stories, complete with the best dating spots, and, of course, a cringe-worthy dating experience in Spain from last year – you won't want to miss that!

This episode perfectly aligns with the vibe of my Substack, "Slight Turbulence." Picture it as the travel magazine you wish you had on airplanes – not the corporate and boring ones, but something with spice, emotion, laughter, and heartbreak. If you're not familiar with Substack, it's like a blog that gets delivered straight to your inbox, and trust me, you'll want to join in on the wild ride.

So, grab your favorite drink – whether it's red wine or a booze-free mocktail (Curious Elixirs, anyone?), throw on those leggings, and get ready for a hot girl morning walk as you tune in and enjoy this episode. It's all about embracing the chaos, having a good laugh, and just letting go. Cheers to that! 🌟🎙️✨

10 Oct 2023How To Travel Full-Time Part 1: Everything You Need to Know About Being a Digital Nomad00:53:45

214: It’s time to demystify the digital nomad lifestyle. Traveling full-time sounds expensive and chaotic, doesn’t it? What if I told you I actually save more $, pay off more debt, feel safer, and get more out of life by traveling nomadically?

In today’s episode, we’re getting INTO IT. I discuss:

  • How to choose you’re next travel destination
  • Navigating foreign languages on your own
  • Finding travel communities for the inside scoop
  • How to make space for travel in your work processes
  • Embracing a minimalist lifestyle

You can expect me to answer questions like:

  • What are the practical aspects you need to consider before diving into full-time travel?
  • How can you navigate visas from one place to the next?
  • What do you need to plan for if you’re going to work abroad?

Full disclaimer: traveling full-time is not easy, breezy or beautiful. It can be messy, exhausting, chaotic, and lonely; but when you’re fully equipped and know what you’re getting yourself into, you can take a deep breath, and have more confidence in designing your nomadic life.

Think of this episode as part 1 of your digital nomad toolbox. I’m taking everything I’ve learned in the past few years of travel and distilling it for you to make it 10x easier. This is the perfect episode for you to come back to when you’re ready to plan that big trip!

12 Sep 2023Making and Maintaining Friendships as an Adult00:32:21

209: Adult life can be super isolating. Like, how are you supposed to make friends when you don’t have recess, dance class, or a homeroom to bring you together?

I’ve found the keys to the friendship kingdom, and I want to share them with you. Let’s get into how I’ve been able to create new friendships and maintain old ones, even while traveling the world.

Personally, I highly value friendships. I know relationships are the core of my happiness and the baseline for my mental health. Knowing where your values lie can really help motivate you to put yourself out there. Whether it’s raising your hand in a crowd or being the first to DM an online connection, the beginnings of a new connection do come from a commitment to putting yourself out there.

Whether you’re a solo traveler or a mom working a nine to five, I think this episode will support you in your search for community and find your own Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants moment.

    In this episode, I discuss:

    • Treating leisure like a commitment, just like you do a workout or meeting
    • Making the most out of online communities
    • How to make friends in a crowd (even if you’re not the most Leo-esque person in the room)
    • Maintaining old friendships, no matter where you’re at in life
    • Playing into each friendships’ strengths to create longevity
    • Why I don’t buy into the “just cut people out of your life if they don’t serve you” mantra the self-help world preaches at us

21 Sep 2023Real Life Across the Pond: From Building a Business to Navigating the Dating Scene in the UK with Jess Dante, Founder of Love and London01:02:47

211: Americans idolize the Brits. They have ROYALTY! The QUEEN (RIP)! The drama of Meghan and Harry! We love to slurp the tea that comes out of the UK, and watch British actors play James Bond or princesses or lead characters in hit romance movies (Hi Notting Hill).

If you’ve got daydreams of moving to London constantly swirling in your head, you’re not alone. But what does the immigration process actually look like? How do you meet new people there? Does everyone actually think Americans are annoying?

Lucky for you, today we’ve got Jess Dante on, the Founder of "Love in London," an incredibly successful platform aimed at helping expats adapt to life in London. Since moving to London with her then husband, she has embraced English culture and made it her mission to improve every travelers’ experience there.

Jess took her love of a place and turned it into an innovative business idea. She literally went from being banned from coming back to the UK to making London her livelihood. Bad-ass!

We’re talking immigration and business today, but I also wanted to know what her experience has been like in the dating scene. What it’s like going on Hinge dates in London? What are the biggest differences between the guys in London vs. America? If you’ve ever been curious about life over the pond, this episode is for you!

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • The immigration process from America to London
    • The strain that living in a new place can have on relationships
    • Should we address or ignore haters online?
    • How Jess’s platform “Love and London” creates financial stability and revenue
    • An inside scoop on the dating scene in London

04 Apr 2023How to Make Every Day Feel Like Your Birthday00:33:00

192: How can we make everyday feel like our birthday?

Waking up on your birthday and getting showered with gifts, Facebook Posts, IG Stories shoutouts, texts, and blowing out trick candles usually happens once a year.

But in this solo episode Chelsea discusses ways to elevate the quality of your life and make every day feel like a birthday, 365 days a year.

    Birthday energy activation tips:

    • auditing your time on a constant basis
    • building a life around what brings joy and energy, not Instagram joy
    • incorporating small weekly or monthly events that feel exciting
    • focusing on gratitude and self-acknowledgment, and the practice that’s transformed Chelsea’s life
    • the “Gold Coin” game and how it works
    • understanding the importance of intentionally seeking out positivity
    • how to make life feel more colorful and exciting on a regular basis

This type of thinking can transform your relationship to self, and expand your mind to opportunities you didn't even realize existed. Happy birthday TO YOU!

    01 Mar 2019Being Single, Relationships + Learning Lessons00:51:43

34: If you're single, you've probably run into people asking you "OMG! How?! Why? Are you getting over an ex? Want me to introduce you to this person?"

Or maybe "don't worry, sweetie, your Knight in shining armor is coming soon!"

People feel bad for you, question your past relationships, wonder when you're going to find "The One"... it can be tough to deal with the CONSTANT questions.

In today's episode, Chelsea talks about her singlehood (is that a word?), different emotions she's experienced during this time, what she's learned from relationships both about herself, what she wants out of one + more.

Being single doesn't suck. Being in a relationship doesn't have to suck either. It's all about perspective.

01 Nov 2022How to Make More Money and More Impact Without Burning Out01:05:34

181: Did you know millennials are the most burned-out generation, with 59% experiencing some symptoms of burnout? And Gen Z burns out much faster than any other generation: they went from 47% to 58% in just a year?!

Recovering from burnout is never easy. But it shouldn’t be that hard as well. Chelsea learns from the burnout recovery expert herself, KC Rossi, on how to get over getting burned out from grinding and hustling hard, while still keeping yourself in the game.

On this week’s episode, Chelsea sits down with KC to discuss:

    1. Steps to recovering from burnout and perfectionism, creating white space in your calendar
    2. The "Do Now, Think Later." kind of attitude in dealing with problems in a business
    3. Choosing long-term partners for long-term business partnerships and how to make sure that the relationship and business partnership would stay intact while finding balance and boundaries in the dynamics
    4. Choosing long-term partners for long-term business partnerships and how to make sure that the relationship and business partnership would stay intact while finding balance and boundaries in the dynamics
    5. What is adrenal fatigue? What are the symptoms? How do you know you have it? How do you know it's going to be a problem?
    6. Having the mindset that success is a long haul
    7. Advice to listeners - "Give yourself so much self-grace and compassion and understand that it's really integrating into your body again and feeling what normal is, what breathing is supposed to be like."

"Neutrality is not gonna come from external circumstances, but what you can control is your own nervous system in the way of what type of coming, balancing, grounding practices do you have in place that you can control, and we can control what's in our own mind, and we have the autonomy to control our own body. So when it comes to those fundamentals of sleep, and movement, are you doing those to attain vitality?" - KC Rossi

23 Dec 2021A 2021 HONEST Year in Review: Business Edition01:06:35

144: In today's episode, Chelsea shares a VERY honest year in review around her business.

She walks through her top 10 learning lessons and adds context and transparency to each one:

    • 1 - structure and systems create freedom
    • 2 - just bc something doesn’t work once doesn’t mean it won’t work again
    • 3 - not every idea needs to be executed immediately
    • 4 - don’t try to be cheap and cut corners when hiring
    • 5 - treat people and clients the way you want to be treated
    • 6 - boundaries develop confidence
    • 7 - focus on non-monetary wins just as much as monetary ones
    • 8 - if you’re not yourself, you’ll hate your biz
    • 9 - sometimes you need a specialist or consultant, not a coach
    • 10 - memberships have been more valuable than high-ticket coaching in many areas of biz

12 Sep 2024Rejection Won’t Kill You - What it Means + How to Deal With It00:43:17

247: Ever thought about pitching your “this is going to shatter the glass ceiling” idea to a big tech company, inviting that cutie on Bumble out for mini golf, or asking for a raise at the job you’ve been at for 7+ years and DEFINITELY deserve one… but the idea of rejection made you wince? Same.

But I’m alive. Rejection didn’t kill me. So I’m here to tell the tale of how I cope with rejection professionally and walk you through several celeb stories - and how we wouldn’t be able to experience their genre-changing art or mind-bending music or industry-leading apps if they let rejection deter them.

You’ll hear stories about Britney Spears, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Queen, the founder of Calendly, Tope Awotona, and myself, and how rejection only became fuel to lead us to success.

I also challenge you to reflect on your own experiences with rejection and how they've shaped your path. Remember, sometimes rejection is just redirection to something even better. Corny but true!

206: Breaks-ups have the power to kick start your next glow up or drag you down into catastrophic thinking. But when we approach break-ups from a spiritual perspective, we can transmute heartbreak into the ultimate heart opener.

Alexandra Shelly, aka The Modern Medium, joins us today for an intimate conversation about the search for love. What does the moment look like when you realize a relationship is coming to a close? How can we nurture ourselves where we’re at instead of poking the bruises of lost love and spiraling into insecurity?

As a medium, Alexandra has so many gifts to share with us and she often shares them through (to name a few): Energy Clearings/Healings, Past Life Readings, and Spiritual Mentorship. But today, she’s generously giving us a look into how she used them in her own life to help her move through a recent breakup.

    11 Oct 2018How NOT to be a Weak B***h with Izzy Riffe01:00:40

27: Dating in your twenties is rough. How can you decipher if he just wants to hook up? How do you go from hookup to relationship? Why can't guys just commit...or at least take you OUT to freaking ice cream?

On today's episode, Chelsea has her mini-me baby sister on, Izzy Riffe. Izzy is a sophomore in college, and provides a different perspective on what she's dealing with as a 19-year-old navigating the scene.

They both agree that you CAN have the upper hand if you're your own person, set standards for yourself, and FOLLOW those standards... don't be a weak b***h!

They also discuss scenarios where they have made mistakes and learned from them... like booty calls, giving in to "sweet talk", and cancelling all your plans for a dude.

We've all been there, but hopefully this candid conversation will snap you out of your foggy f-boy haze, and get you back on track to setting the bar high for yourself.

15 May 2023From Blackouts to Barbells: My Health Journey, Exposure Therapy, and Building Confidence Through Humor [Mini Episode] 00:22:51

194: Today's solo episode is all about exposure therapy, finding evidence for yourself, and how both can help you embody your archetypes for 2023. Wait - what's an archetype? Check out the last episode to learn more.

She dives into her own personal journey of finding balance in her health and fitness routine while living a full-time digital nomad lifestyle. She also shares how life didn’t look this way before- in fact, it was the exact opposite. She used to black out at minimum 3x per week, abuse Adderall, eat Jimmy John’s and order UberEats cheeseburgers hungover on weekends, and fitness? That was a pipe dream.

From college to Chicago to traveling the world, Chelsea's tried it all when it comes to health and fitness, and shares the highs and lows of each experience. If you’ve ever found yourself being obsessive with tracking calories, exercise, and miserably weighing chicken breasts, or struggling with finding that perfect balance between health and indulgence (like, chocolate is TOO GOOD to live without!!!), then his episode is for you.

Join Chelsea as she takes you on a journey of self-discovery and shares her tips and tricks for identifying as the person you want to be in 2023. So grab a cup of coffee (decaf if you’re anxious), put on your favorite workout gear, and get ready to be inspired!

09 Dec 2022Demystifying the World of Podcasting PART 1: How Podcasts Can Help Business, Do Guests Get Paid, Podcast Networks Hard Truths, and How TF Call Her Daddy Inked a $60M Deal with Spotify00:53:24

186: We all know podcasting blew up in the last 5-10 years.

Huge shows like "Call Her Daddy" penned a $60M deal with Spotify (yes, that's an M for million), "Dirty John" turned into a TV show, and "Serial" is still a cult-fan favorite years later - we're still invested into what happened with Adnan's case.

But what REALLY goes on behind the scenes? Why does it feel like such a mystical world sometimes? Why do some shows take off, and others don't? How do you even get guests - do you have to pay them if they're "bigger" than you?

In this episode, Chelsea shares her years of expertise in the digital media space and podcasting world to uncover some of the biggest question marks, like:

    • How to land guests, even with a small audience
    • How to pitch yourself as a guest, one of the biggest drivers of online visibility
    • All the ways podcasters make money, from brand sponsors to bonus content
    • How podcast networks really work, and the hard truths about joining one
    • How TF Alex Cooper of “Call Her Daddy” landed a $60M deal with Spotify

This is just Part 1. Buckle up because it's going to blow your mind!

21 Nov 2024Is Life Better Abroad? An Insider Scoop on Expat Life (Visas, Culture Shock and Money)00:53:23

256: “I was ready to see a new way of life... there are other countries where I could be happy and experience a similar, if not greater, quality of life than I had.” - Chelsea Riffe

For those of you curious about living abroad, I’m sharing today what it truly takes to live overseas, from lessons, logistics, emotional whiplash to rewarding transformations that come with expat life.

    **Snippets** from the episode:

    • “Leaving the U.S. was about finding a different rhythm of life, testing out if a new culture could offer more fulfillment."
    • "Moving abroad isn’t always easy; you’re adjusting to new norms, letting go of familiar conveniences, and learning to live without the constant hustle."
    • "If you don't speak the language, treat it like a business challenge—take a class, hire a tutor, and immerse yourself as much as possible."
    • "Building relationships with local landlords or AirBnB hosts can go a long way in securing affordable, longer-term stays."
    • "Think of yourself as a visitor with a purpose—whether you're in South America, Europe, or Africa, respect the culture and adapt instead of expecting it to change for you."

06 Dec 2018Making Bank with Mindset Coach Topsie VandenBosch01:05:12

30: We've heard it all - you're so broke you have to wait until next paycheck to get toilet paper. Or you've somehow "accidentally" racked up thousands in credit card debt. Or your card gets declined at Chick-fil-A... it's an all-too-common story we've been through, and frankly, I'm over it. Well at least, over talking about how "funny" it is being broke.

Today, Topsie VandenBosch joins Oh My Pod! to talk about breaking your limiting beliefs around money and getting into a headspace where you can start making BANK.

    We cover:

    - Where do our thoughts around $ derive from?

    - What can we do to break those?

    - How can we get compensated for our gifts and talents, without getting that "icky" feeling we tend to have when the word money gets brought up?

31 Oct 2024Naughty Art, Navigating Relationships as a Public Figure, and Closing the Orgasm Gap with Jessica Stahl aka Vanilla Cool Dance00:55:55

254: "I started the account originally as my, indeed, like diary and doodles, and I would turn my situation, which at the time felt quite embarrassing and cringy, if you will, into a more humorous, self-deprecating cartoon." - Jessica Stahl aka vanillacooldance

From creating personal doodles to becoming a sex-positive artist and advocate in Amsterdam - tune in to listen to Jessica Stahl, also known as Vanilla Cool Dance, share her POV on censorship, talking about sexuality online, the orgasm gap and dating while running VCD.

    **Snippets** from the episode:

    • "My mom got me my first vibrator when she found out that I was having sex and she encouraged me to explore my own pleasure."
    • "The orgasm gap is the basically the pleasure gap between let's say cis men and cis women. And it's essentially… there's about a 30% difference in reliably orgasming with a partner."
    • "So the artwork was of…a king going down on a queen. And it said, a true king always knows who comes first. And I put this throughout the whole city and I absolutely loved it because to me, it's really that getting that instant feedback and starting those conversations on the street was one of the most amazing things that I've experienced."
    • "Now that I've started my newsletter, which is a bit more intimate and personal, I have fears a little bit of how will this affect my dating life because it is a bit more vulnerable when it's not just in cartoon form."

13 Mar 2023Running A Business as a Reflector, Why I Don’t Care About Making You a Millionaire, and Why I Won’t Be The Next Gary V. (Or Care To Be)00:54:10

    191: Guess who’s back? Back again? Chelsea’s back…tell a friend…

After an accidental hiatus turned perfectionism paralysis, Chelsea is back with a SERMON.

She shares her decision to scale back on content output (specifically on social media) and focus on what feels good and exciting to her, including moving her newsletter to a monthly cadence, and making more space for podcasting (shocker!)

She also drops a controversial statement: she doesn’t care about helping you hit $10k months or scaling to 6 or 7 figures. You’ll have to fast forward to about 20 mins in if you want to know why, and what her ethos is instead.

You’ll also hear how to audit your time and evaluate what works best for you in your business, rather than trying to apply every strategy you learn from every internet guru who has a course.

Chels wraps up with the importance of support, including having a sounding board to bounce ideas off of, someone to call you out on your BS, and the value of astrology and human design in making decisions. Where the Reflectors at?!

    22 Aug 2019Travel like a Trainer with Michelle Razavi01:05:32

48: Chelsea kicks off the show by reporting LIVE in Bali! Of course, there are more Australia updates - including one she was SHOCKED to find out.

Today's guest is Michelle Razavi (link to her IG: @michellerazavi) who is an Equinox trainer, and runs the site TravelLikeATrainer.com.

What a perfect time to come on, as Chelsea has NOT seen a veggie or fruit in weeks since moving to Oz. It's been pasta, pizza, and wine daily. Thankfully, Michelle shares tips, tricks, and insights on how to travel and enjoy yourself, but not feel like Shamu after every vacation. Or just finding motivation to get back on the wagon!

Michelle's site is SO helpful - any traveler should read this. It's the one issue Chelsea struggles with - buying shitty airport food, eating huge portions on vacation, and trying to find time to exercise on a trip - and Michelle has a hack for every single issue.

26 Dec 2023HONEST Year in Review: Business Edition - Outsourcing to Stay in Your Zone of Genius, and The Power of Payment Plans for Creatives 00:34:30

224: Can you believe it's the final episode of 2023? Before we dive into the excitement of 2024, I've got a treat for you – it's the most downloaded episode of the year, my business year-in-review.

Why is this episode such a hit? Well, I'm a bit of an oversharer by nature. I believe in transparency because, let's be real, when we're open about our wins and losses, it helps everyone stop the comparison game. In today's episode, I'm laying it all out there – the behind-the-scenes stuff you didn't see on Instagram or hear in previous podcasts.

Want to know what has been a huge game changer for me this year? Investing in done-for-you services. We’re chatting all about finding your zone of genius and why getting clear on how YOUR brain works can help you raise your income peacefully. Trust me; it's worth it.

But don’t get it twisted! As the CEO, you're the one steering the ship. I've learned this the hard way. Learning how to manage people is such an essential skill in scaling! It's not my favorite thing, but I've realized it's crucial. You can't wear all the hats forever. Knowing how you work and conveying that to your team makes everything smoother.

I’m also sharing a hot tip for those creatives out there - high ticket clients on monthly payment plans are your best friend! Forget starting at zero every month; it's much more relaxing when you know what to expect. And guess what? At the end of this episode, I'm spilling all the tea on my numbers – business income, expenses, profitability – the whole shebang. So, buckle up, enjoy the ride, and get ready for the grand finale of 2023!

    05 Nov 2020Money Mindset with Chioma Njoku01:17:38

91: Today’s episode is about the money mindset. Chioma Njoku is an expert financial coach who uses her experience and even her failures, to help other people have a better mentality regarding finances.

    We touch on:

    • Not feeling bad about investing in yourself first
    • Using credit cards to your advantage
    • How a state of constant gratitude actually brings abundance
    • What to do if you keep overspending your budget

The book that Chioma mentions is “Profit First”, by Mike Michalowicz. Also, be sure to check out the Master Your Money Masterclass, where you will learn what is REALLY causing you to struggle with money. Hint: It is not because you are bad with money and buy too many coffees!  At the end of the workshop, you’ll remove those barriers and prioritize your desires, not someone else’s.

    08 Mar 2019Serial Monogamy with Kim Lugo02:09:47

35: To get an opposite perspective of the "being single" POV, Chelsea brought in Kim Lugo, a serial monogamist who's been in 3 long-term relationships throughout her adult life.

    We discuss:

    • College relationships - being in a bubble and dealing with the ups and downs of college towns and dating
    • Post-grad relationships - "growing up" and moving to a new town/city together, moving in, "adulting", and starting to truly realize what you want in a partner
    • Late 20s relationships - weeding out people quicker, setting boundaries, compromise, sacrifice, and finding your equal

LOTS of hilarious stories are intertwined with some truth bombs, including a hot tip: just spray Clorox in the air if you want to trick your partner into thinking you spent the day cleaning! Genius.

07 Nov 2023Reimagining Authority: Embracing Femininity in Business with Hayley Lloyd01:08:36

217: Authority used to be a word that activated my rage. But as business owners, we’re constantly hearing how important it is to “establish our authority.” I always felt this framing set up a weird power dynamic between business owner and client.

Today’s guest, Hayley Lloyd, completely reframed my understanding of authority by introducing the idea of “feminine authority.” Hayley is a Business & Mindset Coach specializing in guiding service-based business owners to become Feminine Authorities online & scale to multi 6 /7 figures.

Hayley is extremely business savvy. That was clear to me in the first few minutes of our conversation. But she also integrates her business knowledge with energetics to really ground the experience of leading a business. As we near the end of the year and our feeds are cluttered with scarcity and urgency, I know this listen is going to help you get your feet back on the ground and flow in your biz!

In this episode, we chat about:

    • Why going “all in” too soon can derail your business
    • How reinvesting in the business pays off in the long run
    • Hayley’s signature process of establishing “feminine authority”
    • How to start listening to your body to make decisions
    • What is inner authority vs. outer authority?

    29 Jun 2018Superficial Magic's Meagan Grainger01:19:39

23: Manifesting something so specific can seem overwhelming, and often times we think we don't deserve the best. This mindset, combined with co-dependency issues, limiting beliefs, and negative self-talk means we never truly get what we want or deserve.

Why is that? Why don't we think we can have the cutest, best, brightest apartment in our fave part of the city? Why can't we attract someone who has a house in Malibu? Why can't we try something crazy and be good at it, like comedy? Well....today's guest Meagan Grainger did all of this and we get into SO many why's and how's.

Meagan (@meagangrainger) hosts the pod "Superficial Magic", where her and guests discuss stepping into your highest self, all while keeping it SUPER real... like discussing her Ambien trips, dating mishaps, and more. Never a dull moment with her!

14 Nov 2024Body Slamming Life with Amanda Norgaard01:23:05

255: “But colliding shores with something beyond the self is a relief. And it's made me a lot freer in my expression, in the way I move through life, the way I show up, the way I do the work that I do because if everything is about how I come across and who's going to perceive the work in this way and it's a constant measure of the self and that's exhausting and we're missing the point.” - Amanda Norgaard

For free spirits craving authenticity and creative expression, this episode with Amanda—a Kundalini Yoga teacher, writer, poet, and Creative Mentor who defies convention—is for you. Dive in as she unpacks her journey of breaking free from rigid spiritual norms, embracing her true self, and building a soulful business on her own terms.

    **Snippets** from the episode

    • "I think Kundalini energy calls to us in ways we can't ignore. It’s not just a practice; it's a mirror, showing us parts of ourselves we may have suppressed or avoided."
    • "It’s not about what I wear or following some spiritual uniform. Kundalini, to me, is about being true to myself, even if that means jeans and a t-shirt."
    • "Community isn’t about us all thinking or looking the same; it’s about creating a space where every color, every uniqueness, is welcome to show up."
    • "This journey taught me to make my life the ritual – to integrate spirituality into every moment, not just when I'm on the mat or in meditation."
    • "I don't have a roadmap for my business; I simply follow what feels alive in me. Sometimes that means stepping back, recalibrating, and listening deeply to what comes next."

If you’re drawn to the idea of blending authenticity with spiritual exploration, redefining community, and embracing every facet of your journey unapologetically, Amanda’s insights offer an inspiring lens on living a life that’s deeply rooted in personal truth and raw self-expression. It’s intense, real, and deep as the bottom floor of the ocean - and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
