21 Jul 2017Ian Hates Music #116 - I Prevail...But I Don't Do Signings In The Rain...02:13:15
This episode of Ian Hates Music (except for the very end) was recorded two days before the news of Chester Bennington of Linkin Park passing away. The end covers a small part of it, but next episode will cover most. Until then, if you're feeling depressed or something is leading you to be suicidal, please talk to someone and get help. I know it sounds cliche, but it's worth it to try anything to feel better. Ian and Jackson will talk about this more next week. Most of this episode of Ian Hates Music is great and there are a lot of debates and great music, but Jackson runs into technical difficulties and you'll hear more about this at the end of the episode, but they know you'll really enjoy this episode!  That also includes Part 1 of Ian Hates Warped Tour! Listen to Ian's harrowing Warped experience and how he needed to build an ark to survive...  Get ready for your weekly dose of metalcore, post-hardcore, metal, hardcore, electronicore, emo, screamo, rock, alternative, pop-punk, punk, deathcore, and really, all the core you could ever want (and is legally available)! 26 Jul 2017Ian Hates Music #117 - 1-800-273-TALK01:26:35
This is not a typical Ian Hates Music. In fact, it's probably more along the lines of an Ian Hates Conversations. This time though, it's Ian and Jackson having an open and honest conversation on Chester Bennington passing away last week. Mostly it's about suicide prevention, depression, freedom of speech, blame, and everything in between. The title of this episode is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number 1-800-273-TALK.  Ian and Jackson wanted to have a free-flowing conversation and not write a long status update or put out knee-jerk reactions through Twitter. They have mics, why not use them? No sound effects, no intro, no music. Real talk for anyone who wants to listen. If you're depressed, want to hurt yourself, or you're suicidal, please speak to someone. It's extremely important. If anything comes out of this, please let it be that. Linkin Park put together a website to help people with quick and easy info to seek help. You can also share your stories and memories using #RIPCHESTER, so that link is listed first below because it also has contact information for other places to help: http://chester.linkinpark.com/ https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ https://afsp.org/ http://www.suicide.org/international-suicide-hotlines.html Once again, if you, or someone else you know, needs help, please reach out to one of these facilities and try something different. It could help, and that's not weakness, it's strength. Ian Hates Music wishes the best for Chester's family, friends, and everyone touched by his music. Long days and pleasant nights.

There's so much change happening in the scene, you gotta be happy that Ian and Dave are here to navigate you through everything going on...right? Meh, maybe not, but they're still gonna do it!
