29 May 2024 | What Harrison Butker and Football Teach Us About Right and Wrong | 00:49:39
Were Harrison Butker’s bold statements during his recent Benedictine College commencement speech worth all of the public backlash he received in response? Although many are now hailing the Super Bowl winning NFL kicker as a hero for speaking up, others are calling for him to be fired from the league altogether. What exactly did he say that caused so much outrage and what biblical truths can we gather from the controversial (and now viral) speech? For this midweek podcast, Frank unpacks Harrison Butker’s words from a biblical worldview and highlights how Butker called out some of the lies, harmful ideologies, and inconsistencies that our culture and national leaders have been feeding us. During this podcast episode, Frank will answer questions like:
Later in the episode, Frank will share his own personal experience of being canceled in corporate America due to writing his book ‘Correct, Not Politically Correct: About Same-Sex Marriage and Transgenderism‘ and how it launched him into ministry full-time. He’ll also talk about the importance of being willing to speak up (like Butker) as a means to fight back against cancel culture and to illustrate TRUE love, even if it comes at a cost. And if you want to learn more about how to stand up for truth in a toxic culture, consider enrolling at Frank’s alma mater, Southern Evangelical Seminary! 31 May 2024 | Debating Bart Ehrman About the Gospels with Jimmy Akin | 00:48:12
When Christians suggest that the Bible is without error, what does that actually mean? And are there really good reasons to believe that the Bible, (specifically the New Testament) is both historically reliable and inerrant? Critics like Bart Ehrman raise challenging and thought-provoking questions about contradictions in the Gospels and Jesus' resurrection, but are they true contradictions or just apparent contradictions?
For this week's podcast, Frank sits down with author and Catholic apologist, Jimmy Akin, to talk about his recent debate with the well-known atheist and UNC Chapel Hill professor, Bart Ehrman. Serving as a senior apologist on Catholic Answers, Jimmy will unpack how he used his seasoned debate skills to graciously disarm his opponent while laying out a good case for New Testament reliability and exploring the standards of writing in the first century. During their conversation, Frank and Jimmy will answer questions like:
Did the Gospel writers remember and record the exact words of Jesus?
Did Jesus have a twin brother who appeared to the disciples after the Resurrection?
How do undesigned coincidences point towards New Testament reliability?
Why are some of the New Testament events seemingly out of chronological order?
Why did Bart Ehrman transition from a conservative fundamentalist Protestant Christian to now identifying as an atheist/agnostic?
As Jimmy shares his unique strategy in approaching his dialogue with Ehrman, he'll also drop some insight on the importance of understanding the Bible's historical context, clarify the difference between truth and precision, and touch on why there are a variety of writing styles among the New Testament authors. This laid back and light-hearted podcast episode comes jam-packed with apologetics knowledge bombs so grab your pen and paper and prepare to learn more about what it really means for the New Testament to be reliable! And be sure to watch Akin and Ehrman's full debate on his YouTube channel HERE along with his fascinating podcast, 'Mysterious World'.
04 Jun 2024 | The BIGGEST Misconceptions Protestants Have About the Catholic Faith with Jimmy Akin | 00:43:03
Do most Protestants have a good grasp on Roman Catholic theology or are they largely misunderstanding some of its core doctrines? While Protestants and Catholics share certain beliefs, there are also key doctrinal differences that have led to numerous church councils and theological debates throughout Church history. What are some of the most common misconceptions that many Protestants have about Roman Catholicism and what exactly does the Catholic Church teach about eternal salvation?
For this midweek podcast, author and Catholic Apologist, Jimmy Akin, returns to set the record straight about the Catholic faith and to dispel some of the false ideas that Protestants have about the Roman Catholic Church. With his unique perspective as a former Protestant himself, Akin will unpack what it is that Catholics actually believe in regards to the Gospel, justification, baptism, purgatory, and much more! During their conversation, Frank and Jimmy will answer questions like:
Why do Catholics consider the Apostle Peter to be the first Pope?
What are some of the things that Protestants and Catholics agree on?
Why was the Council of Trent important?
How do Catholics define justification?
Do Catholics believe that atheists can be saved?
Does Roman Catholicism teach faith by works?
In this friendly dialogue (not debate) between Frank and Jimmy, you'll get insight on why they both decided to switch churches on their faith journey as they talk about their own personal experiences with Protestantism and the Catholic Church. To learn more about the theology of Roman Catholicism from a Protestant perspective, grab a copy of the book 'Roman Catholics and Evangelicals: Agreements and Differences' (co-authored by the late Dr. Norman Geisler), and also endorsed by Jimmy. 07 Jun 2024 | Jesus, Contradicted with Mike Licona | 00:48:14
Do most Christians have the wrong definition of inerrancy? You may have noticed some pretty significant discrepancies between the different Gospel accounts in the New Testament—discrepancies that skeptic Bart Ehrman didn't hesitate to point out during past debates with Dr. William Lane Craig, Jimmy Akin, AND today's guest! Is there a way for Bible-believing Christians to harmonize these variations, or should we throw out the concept of Bible inerrancy altogether? This week, author, Christian apologist, and New Testament scholar Dr. Mike Licona sits down with Frank to expose the truth about "errors" in the Bible, specifically tackling some of Bart Ehrman's objections to the reliability of the New Testament. He'll also discuss the release of his new book, 'Jesus, Contradicted: Why the Gospels Tell the Same Story Differently', which is a resource aimed to help Christians navigate through textual variances. During the episode, Frank and Mike will answer questions like:
Buckle your seatbelts, friends, because this podcast episode is likely going to make you uncomfortable by challenging much of what you've been taught (or assumed) about biblical inerrancy. Is it okay that the Bible doesn't have camera-like accuracy in some places? Listen as Dr. Licona helps us to take a fresh look at the doctrine of inerrancy and then decide for ourselves. 11 Jun 2024 | What Does Biblical Inerrancy REALLY Mean? with Dr. Mike Licona | 00:44:02
Is it possible that the Bible actually contains errors? And if so, how would these errors impact the message of the Gospel? These are fair questions that some Christians may be afraid to ask. But does an error or two discredit the overall authenticity and reliability of the Scriptures or the historicity of the Resurrection? For this midweek podcast, Dr. Mike Licona, author of the brand new book 'Jesus, Contradicted: Why the Gospels Tell the Same Story Differently' returns to continue unpacking the true meaning of biblical inerrancy and to explore the significance of compositional writing styles of the ancient world. What are some of the "errors" that can be found in the Old and New Testaments, and how do scholars attempt to reconcile some of these discrepancies? Why would God even allow the Bible to include mistakes? Do most Christians really have a high view of Scripture? And just how important was precise accuracy to ancient writers? All this and more will be discussed in the conclusion of this controversial (and important) talk surrounding the trustworthiness of the Bible. 14 Jun 2024 | Where is the Resurrection Predicted in the Old Testament? with Dr. Chip Bennett | 00:48:18
Jesus told His disciples that every story in the Old Testament points to Him. But what did He mean? If you look closely, you'll find that the Hebrew Bible contains 30+ "third-day" references and parallels to Jesus that fly under the radar for most readers. But where exactly are these resurrection prophecies located? And why do so many Christians have trouble picking them up and making the connection to the prophecies that were fulfilled through Jesus in the New Testament? This week, Dr. Chip Bennett, founding and leading pastor of Grace Community Church in Sarasota, FL, joins Frank to uncover some of the Old Testament resurrection parallels that often go unnoticed, even by dedicated students of the Bible. More than just your average pastor, Chip also holds a PhD in Systematic Theology and a Doctorate of Ministry and is here to enthusiastically unpack some of the third-day references that are hidden in plain sight and to give listeners a lesson on the significance of literary hermeneutics. During their conversation, Frank and Chip will answer questions like:
This podcast episode is chock full of fascinating material that Chip will delve into at a rapid pace, so get your pen and paper ready! As he unveils some of the captivating connections between people and events of both the Old and New Testaments, you'll likely hear information you've never been exposed to! 18 Jun 2024 | Moses, Joshua, and Jesus: MORE "Third Day" References in the Old Testament | with Dr. Chip Bennett | 00:38:26
Where can we find the concept of the third day being played out in the Old Testament? Esther, Isaac, Daniel, Jonah, and even Goliath point to the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But how do the stories surrounding these Old Testament figures relate to events in the New Testament that occurred both before and after the resurrection of Jesus? Once you see all of these connections, you won't be able to unsee them! Last week, podcast listeners were blown away by Dr. Chip Bennett's exposé of how Jesus is revealed in the Old Testament. And for this midweek podcast, he returns to unpack significant parallels that Bible-believing Christians need to know about! By exploring the richness of interpreting the Scriptures through the literary hermeneutic, Chip will explore key passages from the Old and New Testaments that show how God weaved these stories together to illustrate the Gospel's message beautifully. How is Jesus greater than Moses and David? What's the difference between how the Antiochian Church and the Alexandrian Church interpreted Scripture? How is Chip using TikTok to reach the next generation with the Gospel? 21 Jun 2024 | The 1916 Project | with Seth Gruber | 00:48:18
How did things like third-trimester abortions, infanticide, euthanasia, critical race theory, transgender ideology, and drag queen story hour become embedded in modern American culture? In an age where children are exposed to pornographic material in their own school libraries and concerned parents are labeled as "domestic terrorists," where can we find the root cause of the underlying worldview that's currently dominating our society? And how did we end up here so quickly? The answers may shock you! In what may be one of the most controversial and revelatory podcast episodes to date, Frank interviews pro-life speaker Seth Gruber, author of the book and soon-to-be-released documentary called 'The 1916 Project', which explores how abortion became the linchpin of secularism and how it's destroying western civilization. As founder of the fastest-growing pro-life non-profit organization in America, The White Rose Resistance, Seth's jaw-dropping research has uncovered the dark history of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, and her disturbing, undeniable connection to Nazism, Darwinism, the Jewish Holocaust, and even BLM! During their conversation, Frank and Seth will answer questions like:

25 Jun 2024 | Jacob, Joseph, and Jesus: EVEN MORE "Third Day" References in the Old Testament | with Dr. Chip Bennett | 00:30:12
Is the whole of Scripture just a disorganized collection of conflicting documents? Some scholars think so, claiming it to be a battleground for historical contradictions. But what if it's a carefully orchestrated thread woven together and preserved by the Divine Author? Just a few episodes ago, Dr. Chip Bennett wowed listeners with his insights into the resurrection themes and third-day narratives from the Old Testament. For this midweek podcast episode, Chip returns to dive deeper into the Hebrew Bible and uncover how the Messianic prophecies are intertwined with the tales of patriarchs like Jacob, Joseph, Joshua, and Judah. How do some of our daily routines point to the resurrection? Can the story of Cinderella shed light on the Gospel? How does the third day relate to life and death motifs? All these questions and more will be answered at the conclusion of this special three-part series. Believe it or not, these horror stories are happening all over the country, even in America's most conservative states! But what can you do to protect your children? This week, Frank sits down with Laura Bryant Hanford, an advocate for human rights, religious freedom and school policy, a contributing writer to The Federalist, and a graduate of Princeton University. 02 Jul 2024 | 63+ Million Reasons to Join The White Rose Resistance | with Seth Gruber | 00:31:51
Does today's culture value human life like our Founding Father, Thomas Jefferson, did when he penned the Declaration of Independence? According to statistics compiled by the National Right to Life organization, there have been approximately 63+ million abortions performed in the United States since 1973. While there's no doubt that Jefferson was fully committed to the concept of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all citizens, many Americans today have been deceived into believing that the right to life only applies to life outside the womb. But if the unborn don't truly hold these inalienable rights as described in our founding documents, does anyone else? Last month, pro-life speaker Seth Gruber joined Frank to talk about his brand-new book (and a documentary of the same name), 'The 1916 Project: The Lyin’, The Witch, and the War We’re In', and to unpack the life of Margaret Sanger and how her death-obsessed legacy continues to cripple modern society. As a continuation of their last conversation, Seth returns to tell us about the fastest-growing pro-life non-profit organization in America, The White Rose Resistance, its inspirational backstory, and why the Church must speak out and be courageous in a hostile culture, no matter the cost. How did we drift so far away from the right to life? Is racism America's original sin? How did Gnosticism influence Margaret Sanger's worldview? We live in a divisive culture that has led to nearly a third of people reporting they have stopped talking to a friend or family member due to a disagreement. This week, Frank sits down with our good friend, Dr. Sean McDowell—author, Christian apologist, and one of YouTube’s best at interviewing people from opposite ends of the spectrum. Where were you on Saturday, July 13, when the shocking news broke that former President Trump had been shot? This weekend, we came terrifyingly close to losing a former U.S. president, facing civil unrest, and even approaching the real possibility of a civil war. With so many unanswered questions about the assailant’s motive and the massive security failure, we’re left wondering: where do we go from here, and how did we reach this tragic point in American history? In this jarring midweek podcast episode, Frank dives into the recent assassination attempt on Donald Trump during a rally in Butler, PA, exploring the questionable response by the Secret Service and highlighting the reaction of former military sniper and Congressman Cory Mills. In a society where many seek to erase theism and Christianity altogether, how does an impact event like this point to the validity of the Christian faith, and what does it reveal about the true nature of humanity? All of this and more will be discussed as Frank also addresses questions like:
Political violence is NOT the way forward and should never be tolerated! It's our job as Christians to respond in a way that includes treating all people with respect, engaging in respectful dialogue, and disagreeing with people without demonizing them. If God is sovereign, as the Bible says, then how can human beings have free will? Those who subscribe to certain sects of Calvinism might say that humans can't possibly have free will because God does all the choosing. 26 Jul 2024 | Shepherds for Sale | with Megan Basham | 00:48:19
Could your favorite celebrity pastor or your church's leadership compromise the truth in exchange for cultural approval (and a BIG paycheck)? Many prominent evangelical leaders have become more and more outspoken in questioning the Bible's clear teachings on political issues like natural marriage and life in the womb, leading to confusion and concern about their underlying motives. Are these pastors and leaders genuinely well-meaning, misled, and misguided, or are they progressively embracing the "woke" agenda for money and power? This week, Frank invites Daily Wire journalist Megan Basham on the podcast to discuss her new book 'Shepherds for Sale: How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda', which investigates how leftist billionaires have convinced some of today's pastors and Christian leaders to stray from the Word of God to sow seeds of discord among the Body of Christ. 09 Aug 2024 | What To Do When Culture Hates You with Natasha Crain | 00:48:02
Why are Christians facing so much hostility when we speak up on political issues? Simply advocating for life in the womb or opposing far-left agendas like Marxism and "gender-affirming care" often gets us labeled as "Christian Nationalists." Should we let this backlash silence us or propel us to become even more outspoken? This week, our good friend and fellow Christian apologist, Natasha Crain, joins Frank at the annual CIA apologetics workshop to discuss some of the key ideas in her signature book, 'Faithfully Different', as well as give us a sneak peek into her upcoming book, 'When Culture Hates You: Persevering for the Common Good as Christians in a Hostile Public Square', scheduled to be released in March 2025. Natasha will share her insights on why people make certain decisions and uncover the hypocrisy of claiming that Christians should avoid hot-button cultural issues in the public square. During their discussion, Frank and Natasha will answer questions like:
This podcast episode reminds us that Christians are called to fulfill both the Great Commission and the Cultural Commission—even if it means facing scrutiny. Don't allow today's cancel culture and religious intolerance to convince you that "staying in your lane" equates to avoiding political topics. Does the Bible promise prosperity to those who bless and support Israel? In the wake of the October 7th attacks on Israel by the Hamas terrorist group, antisemitism in the West is shockingly at an all-time high. What’s driving this sudden surge in antisemitism, and what can we glean from the Old Testament scriptures in relation to God's covenant with Abraham and how it applies to the modern state of Israel today? 26 Feb 2021 | Progressive Christianity: Coming to a Church Near You | 00:47:29
A self-described "progressive" Christian church in Nashville, TN made headlines last week with a meme claiming the Bible is not the word of God, not infallible, and not inerrant. Years ago, this was an evangelical church in the heart of the Bible belt, but over time, the slow and subtle shift toward liberalism and postmodernism came to a head when they declared themselves a "progressive" church.
Alisa addresses questions including:
What is the progressive view of the Bible?
How does this view contradict the historic Christian view of the Bible?
What are some ways progressives try and pass their views as "Christian?"
How do progressives change the definitions of commonly understood words and phrases?
What is Jesus' view of Scripture and how does it contradict the progressive view?
What does a typical progressive doctrinal statement look like?
How can we spot these ideas in our own churches?

05 Mar 2021 | Murder Without a Cause? | 00:48:01
Did former football star O.J. Simpson actually murder two people back in 1994? The evidence appears overwhelming that he did. Frank goes through that evidence and then relates it to the question of God’s existence.
What is the probability that this evidence would exist if OJ was NOT the murderer? Likewise, what is the probability we would have the evidence for God we have if God does NOT exist?
Along the way, Frank discusses the cosmological, teleological, and moral arguments, and even uses a poker analogy to illustrate the prohibitive odds of saying that God does NOT exist.

12 Mar 2021 | Can You Believe Something You’ve Never Seen? | 00:48:10
Many people say that they can’t believe in miracles because they’ve never seen one. Is that a good reason to disbelieve in the miraculous? Frank points out that you believe in a lot of things that you’ve never seen, and that miracles are exactly the kind of phenomenon that occurs rarely. If they occurred more… well, you’ll have to listen. So should we believe in the Resurrection of Jesus? Frank gives four lines of evidence to show that the answer is yes. In fact, it takes more faith to believe Jesus did NOT rise from the dead. (Note: This podcast builds on the evidence presented in last week’s show.)

19 Mar 2021 | You Can’t Make this Stuff Up! | 00:48:07
How can we know that the New Testament writers are telling the truth? Frank presents three lines of evidence to show that they didn’t make up the NT story:
It has EMBARRASSING DETAILS that would not have been invented by those trying to pass off a lie as the truth.
There is EMBEDDED CONFIRMATION between the gospel accounts that show the writers either were eyewitnesses or are citing independent eyewitness sources of the same events.
The Jewish writers died EXCRUCIATING DEATHS when they could have saved themselves by staying with their Jewish beliefs and denying the Resurrection.
There are many points in this show that you can share with your unbelieving friends. Just ask them before you do: “If Jesus really rose from the dead to prove He is God, would you follow Him?"

26 Mar 2021 | Return of the God Hypothesis with Dr. Stephen Meyer | 00:48:15
Is science and religion at war? If so, why were the founders of modern science all theists, most Christians? Why did God as a cause fall out of favor for a while but is now returning? What about God of the gaps?
Dr. Stephen Meyer joins Frank to discuss some major findings expressed in his excellent new book, Return of the God Hypothesis. Their far-reaching conversation includes answers to the questions just mentioned, plus:
Why do the laws of nature exist? What are they? Do they actually cause anything?
What three discoveries over the past century are causing the return of God's hypothesis?
What evidence do we have that the universe had a beginning?
Did the universe really come from nothing? Couldn’t it have come from pre-existing matter?
Why say God caused it? Why not a multiverse or a quantum vacuum?
This is only part 1. Come back next week when Dr. Meyer returns to discuss the evidence for the fine-tuning of the universe as well as the evidence for intelligence in life.

A “woke” pastor recently released a popular TikTok video charging Jesus with racism. After all, in Mark 7 Jesus appears to call a Canaanite woman a “dog.” On the face of it, that appears to be at least slander, if not racism. What do we make of this? Frank addresses that question as well as:

14 May 2021 | Freedom Requires Restraint | 00:48:07
What does it really mean to be free? Does it mean that you're free of all restraints? If it does— as many in our culture seem to think— then exercising that kind of freedom will lead to your demise.
Can you really create your own reality, independent of the facts? You’ll be amazed at what some college students think about this. You’ll hear an unforgettable clip of what they say about what should be uncontroversial and obvious truths. During this show, Frank unpacks the critical difference between being free FROM and being free TO. He also shows why the cancel culture is so joyless and hostile, and why you will never get peace without truth.

28 May 2021 | Woke Soldiers? | 00:48:02
Is the US Military going woke? Is it getting too political? If it is, why should Christians care?
Some say that the Pentagon’s "Countering Extremist Working Group” is targeting conservatives, and maybe even Christians in the military, painting everyone as a right-wing extremist. The head of this task force has let his leftist political leanings known. Moreover, a Lt. Col. in the Space Force has recently been relieved of his command for writing a book exposing Marxism in the military. Did he have the authority to do that? Is he telling the truth?
Join Frank as he addresses these issues and points out that the kind of “diversity” and “equity” demanded by the Left does nothing to advance the mission of the US military and may even hurt that mission.

04 Jun 2021 | What’s in a name? Evidence! | 00:48:18
How do we know that the writers of the Gospels and Acts were eyewitnesses? One way we can tell is through a study of names in the New Testament. It may sound boring, but it’s actually fascinating. Dr. Richard Bauckham has done most of the work for us, and his conclusions are actually changing New Testament scholarship. Frank explores just one piece of evidence in Dr. Bauckham’s 700-page book. When you compare the names in the Gospels and Acts to names from other sources in and around Israel at the time, what do we find? Evidence that is quite compelling that the Gospels and Acts contain eyewitness testimony! If you want to send us a question for the show, please email us at Hello@CrossExamined.org. 11 Jun 2021 | More Reasons You Can’t Make the New Testament Up | 00:48:18
How do we know the New Testament writers actually told the truth? Could the New Testament story be invented? Building on two previous shows, Frank gives five reasons why it takes more “faith" to believe that the New Testament writers invented the story. 1) non-Christian sources, 2) historical crosshairs and eyewitness details, 3) embarrassing details about themselves and even Jesus, 4) demanding sayings and commands of Jesus, and 5) the fact that they carefully distinguished their words from the words of Jesus.

18 Jun 2021 | Is the Christian Left Hijacking the Church? | 00:48:18
Pastor and author Lucas Miles joins Frank to discuss his new book, The Christian Left: How Liberal Thought Has Hijacked the Church. Why has the church gone left? Is the culture influencing the church rather than the church influencing the culture? How should Christians respond to the following claims?
Jesus accepts everyone.
Jesus would never get in the way of the love between two people.
Jesus was a refugee.
Jesus accepts foreigners and strangers.
God doesn’t create walls that prevent us from coming to him.
People need to live their truth.
Some people are just born gay (or bi or transgender).
A real Christian accepts everyone.
Frank and Lucas also discuss where the right has gone wrong, and how Christians can get back to advocating the Truth.

25 Jun 2021 | Hidden Themes in the Bible with Dr. Chip Bennett | 00:48:18
Have you ever had an “ah-ha” moment reading a Bible passage that you’ve read many times before? Have you ever noticed a pattern or a theme in the Bible that you didn’t see until someone showed it to you? Is the Bible a plain, one-dimensional text or a much richer revelation— a tapestry woven together by a Divine Mind?
Dr. Chip Bennett, Pastor of Grace Community Church in Sarasota, Florida, joins Frank to reveal some of the amazing hidden themes of the Bible. We say “hidden” because most people today don’t know about them. But the early church fathers, taking cues from Jesus and Paul, discovered that the scriptures are an integrated tapestry that has common themes spread throughout. Chip and Frank discuss themes related to the third day, the Bride, the Serpent, the calming of the sea, and others. Not only will you look at the Bible differently, but you’ll also see another reason why the Bible— written by about 40 authors over 1,500 years— must have a Divine Mind behind it. Truly fascinating!

Dr. Chip Bennett rejoins Frank for another fascinating and revealing look into the hidden themes of the Bible (if you haven’t heard the first show in this series, go back two weeks and listen to “Hidden Themes in the Bible"). This time Dr. Bennett further unpacks how we should interpret the Bible to discover some of its literary themes. They discuss one theme that begins in Genesis and ends in Revelation (the City of God); one in Acts 12, and the literary theme of the Book of Revelation that comes right out of the Old Testament. 16 Jul 2021 | What if MY truth contradicts YOUR truth? | 00:48:18
Where do rights come from? Why are people claiming, “I have a right to live MY truth”? And why are they insisting that you have to live their truth? What can you say to such people? How can you show them that their truth might not be the truth? How can you love them the right way? To love them, do we have to approve of what they want to do?
These are some of the questions that Frank addresses in this very practical podcast that will help you successfully respond to the cultural issues of the day. Frank also provides a series of questions you should ask your woke boss. Unless people start responding rather than succumbing to the current totalitarian impulse sweeping our schools and corporations, things will only get worse. What kind of God would allow evil and suffering to good people? Didn’t God promise that your faith could move mountains? Then why haven’t your prayers been answered? And isn’t the Bible a bigoted and outdated book (just look at the transgender issue)?

30 Jul 2021 | A Scientific Way to Show that God Exists | 00:48:13
What do you say when someone says, “What evidence do you have that God exists?” Frank believes the answer to that question is a philosophical principle that is the ground of all science: the law of causality. Every effect has a cause.
So what effects point back to God? That’s what Frank unpacks in this show to the point where you can demonstrate several attributes of God by just looking at the effects around you. In other words, you can show someone that the Creator God of the Bible most likely exists, and you don’t even need to open the Bible to do so. Frank also answers objections to God being the cause of some effects, such as “god of the gaps” and "the law of causality doesn’t always apply".

13 Aug 2021 | Proving Jesus without the Bible | 00:48:16
Suppose none of the New Testament survived to this day. Would we know anything about Jesus and his teachings? Yes, much of what we know today about Jesus and his teachings we would know even without any of the New Testament documents. How? Cold-Case Homicide Detective J. Warner Wallace joins Frank to show you how. Drawing from his amazing new book, Person of Interest, Wallace shows the unparalleled impact Jesus has had on culture in six different areas: literature, art, science, music, education, and even other world religions. To cite just one example from art, you could reconstruct the entire Gospel of Mark just from paintings and drawings done in the first several hundred years following Jesus. Wallace lays out several other examples. And the conversation is just getting started. This is just the first show on this topic. Check back in September for the next one. How do you take power from the people and consolidate it in a dictator or government? There are known tactics to do this, and they have been demonstrated since the time of Plato. Historian Bill Federer joins Frank and identifies these tactics. He then takes us on a fascinating ride through history to show us how these tactics have been used in the past and how they are being used right now. Among the questions they discuss are:
What is socialism?
What are the two ways you can take power from people gradually?
Does it require a grand conspiracy to do it?
Who in the Bible invented identity politics?
Where does Critical Theory come from and what does it teach?
How did the Nazis arrest power from the people?
How are those tactics being used in the US?

How did Islam begin?
Who was Muhammad and what did he do?
How did Muslims conquer much of the Mediterranean in the first 100 years?
What are the differences between Sunni and Shiite?
What does “Peace” mean to the Taliban?
How did the discovery of oil reinvigorate jihad and groups like the Taliban?
Why would a four-star USAF General compare Trump supporters to the Taliban?
Don’t all religions kill? How do Islam and Christianity compare?

03 Sep 2021 | Why is everything political? | 00:48:15
Why is everything political? How much should the Christian be involved politically? The truth is, like many other endeavors, we can be involved too much or too little.
Frank pulls insightful points from a WWII C.S. Lewis sermon to encourage us to do our civic duty while reminding us where our ultimate loyalties should lie. Frank also explains why everything is political and why Christians have to be involved without making politics, party, or the nation an idol.

10 Sep 2021 | Is There Really a Tree of Life? | 00:48:11
When evolutionist Richard Dawkins was asked for the most powerful evidence for evolution, he cited the tree of life. We see it in all the textbooks— all living things are ancestrally related in a tree of life. But what is the evidence for that tree of life? Is there any counter-evidence to it?
Dr. Stephen Meyer joins Frank to point out three massive problems to conclude that there really is a tree of life, one of which is that the computers that generate the tree are programmed to do so regardless of what genetic evidence you input. In other words, no matter what data you put in, you will always get a tree! Steve then identifies evidence against common ancestry and offers three scientific arguments for the existence of God.
Frank and Steve also discuss the resignation of atheist Professor Peter Boghossian from Portland State University. According to his resignation letter, Dr. Boghossian resigned because "brick by brick, the university has made this kind of [free] intellectual exploration impossible. It has transformed a bastion of free inquiry into a Social Justice factory whose only inputs were race, gender, and victimhood and whose only outputs were grievance and division."

17 Sep 2021 | Do You Trust Science? | 00:48:11
Do you trust experts? Do you trust science? Why do we get conflicting advice from experts and scientists?
Frank investigates those questions by citing the bogus papers Dr. Peter Boghossian published in academic journals which exposes that experts, like the rest of us, are susceptible to biases, social pressure, ideological blindness, and groupthink. Be especially wary when people claim there is a scientific “consensus"! That normally means there really isn’t a consensus, and people will pressure dissenters into silence. But the history of science shows that our knowledge advances when we question the prevailing orthodoxy— when we ask for the evidence that people use to come to their conclusions.
Frank also cites evidence that science related to Covid has become politicized— that certain policies and treatment recommendations lead to contradictions and questions. The censors will be out for this episode!

24 Sep 2021 | Person of Interest | with J. Warner Wallace | 00:48:13
Detective Wallace is back to show us through his new book, Person of Interest, the monumental and unparalleled impact Jesus of Nazareth has had on the entire world. But this isn’t a softball interview. Frank plays devil’s advocate with Jim to see how he responds to some tough objection’s skeptics might levy against some of his points, such as:
Sure, Jesus has had a big impact, but couldn’t Christianity be based on a lie and then promoted by the Roman empire?
You say Christians started science, but everyone was a Christian back then, so what’s the big deal?
Aren’t science and Christianity at odds? After all, look at how the church treated Galileo!
As for the book, it is truly a unique and inspiring work that helps you realize the tremendous influence of the historical Jesus, which is best explained by His resurrection from the dead. Person of Interest is wonderfully argued and illustrated (over 400 drawings). If you want to buy the book or view a sample chapter, go to www.personofinterestbook.com.

15 Oct 2021 | The Case for Heaven with Lee Strobel | 00:48:16
Is there really an afterlife? Is there any evidence outside the Bible that we live on after death? What will Heaven be like?
The great Lee Strobel is back on the show with another wonderful “case" book, this one is called The Case for Heaven. Frank asks Lee several intriguing questions that are answered in his new book such as:
What evidence is there that we have a soul?
What do Near Death Experiences tell us about the afterlife?
How can we confirm that NDEs are real and not invented stories? (Some have been invented, but others verified.)
What is Hell like?
Is it possible that Hell is temporary?
Why would God punish someone eternally for temporal sin?
Where do we go when we die?
Is there are a chance to accept Christ after death?
What is Heaven really like? It’s not one long church service, is it?

22 Oct 2021 | Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality | 00:48:20
The top apologetics book over the past two years on Amazon has been Hillary Morgan Ferrer’s Mama Bear Apologetics (yes, I think it's sold even more than Mere Christianity). Well, Hillary is back with an equally great new book called Mama Bear Apologetics Guide to Sexuality. And she writes about hard issues in a fun and memorable way. For example, here’s a short excerpt:
The idea that sexuality should be guarded is not very popular. Our society sees it as just a prudish phase we went through back in the Victorian era. Thanks to Freud, we are now supposedly enlightened, understanding that sexual repression is basically the gateway to all mental illnesses. Be free, little birdies! It’s for your own good! Don’t listen to those religious nutjobs. They craaazy!
Well, are we craaazy? Listen in as Frank asks Hillary to explain why biblical sexual ethics are correct and how you can teach them to your kids. You can’t refute something that you don’t understand. This podcast and Hillary’s book will help you understand the top issues of our day.

29 Oct 2021 | Is Atheism Dead? | with Eric Metaxas | 00:48:20
Best-selling author Eric Metaxas (Bonhoeffer, Luther, Amazing Grace, Miracles) joins Frank to reveal highlights of his new book Is Atheism Dead? Eric covers the discoveries pointing to God from science and archaeology, and he does so by telling the stories leading to these momentous discoveries. It’s a delightful read, and it shows how much the script has flipped from science points away from God to now science strongly pointing toward God. On the podcast, Frank and Eric discuss the Big Bang, the fine-tuning of the universe, and the utter futility of trying to find a natural cause for the first life. The universe and life provide compelling evidence for supreme intelligence. They also cite a few of the more prominent archaeological finds, including the home of Jesus and Mary in Nazareth which was just discovered last year.

05 Nov 2021 | Should You Criticize Moral or Religious Beliefs? | 00:48:13
Is it wrong to criticize someone’s moral or religious beliefs? Many people think so. Frank takes this assertion head on and reveals that it is self-defeating, impractical, and unbiblical. For example, those who claim we can’t judge anyone’s moral beliefs are judging themselves and asserting a moral belief. If we can’t criticize someone’s moral beliefs then how can we say the Nazis were wrong or the Jihadists on 9-11 were wrong? How can you say your position on LGBTQ issues, racism, or climate change is right? How can we follow the teachings of the prophets and Jesus and the apostles? Tune in. There’s a lot of ground covered in this one!

12 Nov 2021 | Cosmic Chemistry | with John Lennox | 00:48:11
One of the greatest myths regarding God and science is that science has somehow disproven God. The exact opposite is actually closer to the truth. If science has disproven anything, it has disproven atheism. How can that be? The Great Dr. John Lennox, Professor at Oxford University, joins Frank to offer answers by discussing his new book Cosmic Chemistry. They address questions such as:
What can science explain and what are its limits— what can’t it explain?
What are new developments in science that are pointing more toward intelligence as a cause?
How does atheistic materialism negate our ability to reason and our ability to do science?
Why does science depend on an intelligent being?
What is the origin of natural laws?
What is the origin of information and why can’t information be explained by natural laws?
Why does evolution fail to disprove God?
Even if macroevolution is true, how do we know there is an intelligence behind the evolutionary process?
What about the “God of the gaps” objection?
Dr. Lennox is his usual cogent and winsome self-offering analogies that help us all understand complex subjects.

18 Nov 2021 | Bullies and Saints | with Dr. John Dickson | 00:48:22
Atheist Christopher Hitchens once wrote, “religion poisons everything”, and he included the Christian religion in that assessment. When you look at the behavior of some claiming to be Christians over the centuries— when you look at church history— you realize that Hitchens was right in many ways. The history of Christianity has been a mixed bag historically: some very good behavior and some very bad behavior.
Dr. John Dickson of the University of Sydney and visiting professor at Oxford has written a brilliant and balanced book called, 'Bullies and Saints: An Honest Look at the Good and Evil of Christian History,' that covers every century of church history. He joins Frank to reveal the truth about:
The behavior of the first believers (they were “good losers”)
Myths about Constantine
How the religious freedom beliefs of Tertullian got to Thomas Jefferson
Why slavery was eradicated and why it took so long
The Crusades
The Spanish Inquisition
The real reason for the violence in Northern Ireland
The worst scandal in church history
The most unique ethical contributions of Christianity
The most surprising discovery made by Dr. Dickson in his research
Why bullies are common, but saints are not
How our bad behavior implies a standard and our need for a Savior

26 Nov 2021 | Eternal Hell for Temporal Sins? | 00:48:20
How is it just for God to punish people for eternity when they’ve only committed temporal sins? Isn’t that overkill? Is Hell just temporary? Is it loving for God to “send” people to Hell? Frank answers those questions and others on this sensitive topic.
Plus, he dives into some of the objections leveled at the evidence that authenticates both the New Testament and the recently found burial box of the High Priest Caiaphas. Yes, we’ve actually discovered the grave and bones of the man who sentenced Jesus to die! But is the box real or a fake? Find out in this week's episode of the ‘I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be An Atheist’ Podcast.

03 Dec 2021 | Chesterton’s Gateway | 00:48:23
About a century ago the editor of the London Times asked his readers to write in to answer the question, “What’s wrong with the world?” G.K. Chesterton wrote back two words: “I am.” Chesterton was a Christian writer, poet, illustrator, and debater who went on to write more than 80 books and thousands of essays. One of his books had a profound impact on C.S. Lewis. You’ve probably heard several of Chesterton’s quotes even if you don’t recognize the name.
Ethan Nicolle, who is also one of the brilliant minds behind the Babylon Bee, has made it easy to read 14 of Chesterton’s best essays in his new book called Chesterton’s Gateway. He joins Frank on this podcast to share some of the best insights and humor from Chesterton on issues such as wonder, progressivism, religious freedom, and our inane tendency to abandon traditional morality for new fads, among other topics. As you’ll see, Chesterton was well ahead of his time predicting much of what has happened in the world and our modern culture even though he died over 85 years ago. We think you’ll enjoy this one!

10 Dec 2021 | Finding God’s Will for Your Life | 00:48:17
How do you find God’s will for your life? God sends you hints and nudges so you know what school to go to, what job to take, and who to marry. After all, God’s sheep “hear his voice”, we are “led by the Spirit”, and God gives us “peace” when we discover his will through “a still, small voice”.
That’s the traditional Christian view. But is that view biblical? Sorry, but the answer is no!
Greg Koukl, president of Stand to Reason and CIA instructor, joins Frank to show us why this view is wrong, and to offer us the true biblical view of finding God’s will for your life. Along the way, Greg addresses all the scriptures typically used to defend the traditional view and shows why they don’t work.
While some people may be upset because they think the true biblical view takes God away from them, the biblical view is actually liberating and will help you become a more mature disciple of Christ. This podcast is certainly one of the most practical and important we’ve done recently, so please don’t miss it!

16 Dec 2021 | Why Grace is the True Meaning of Christmas | 00:48:19
What is the true meaning of Christmas? As Christians, we know it has little to do with trees, presents, and reindeer. But what is it really about? Why is there a Christmas at all? Frank goes to an unlikely place to highlight why Christmas exists — the book of Galatians. There, the Apostle Paul fights for the truth of the gospel — the “good news”— the news that Christ has come to take our sin upon Himself and offer us forgiveness and righteousness for free. The greatest news in the history of the world is that God saves us by grace. Christianity would not be unique if it was just another works-based way to get to God. Grace sets people free from guilt, from rituals, from anxiety, and, most importantly, from our sins. Join Frank as he unpacks this from the first book of the Bible Paul ever wrote, with the most important message he ever wrote.

30 Dec 2021 | Who is your authority? | 00:48:19
As we enter 2022, how do you make decisions about the biggest issues in life? Who or what is your authority? What doctrines are you following? Everyone believes in certain doctrines—truths about reality. Even atheists. These doctrines govern not only what we think but what we do, how we act. Paul wrote to his disciple, Timothy, "Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers" (1 Tim 4:15-16). Are we really watching our lives and doctrine closely? Join Frank as he examines that question and the ultimate question, who is your authority? Is it you? Your parents? Your culture? Your government? Your church? Or is it Jesus? This show has some very practical insights and questions you can ask to help you follow Christ and make better decisions. 07 Jan 2022 | How the Chain of Custody Affirms the Biblical Jesus | 00:48:19
We don’t possess the original New Testament papyrus scrolls. They deteriorate too quickly to have survived this long. So how do we know that the manuscripts we have now are accurate representations of the originals? Is it reasonable to believe that they have been corrupted and embellished to falsely say that Jesus rose from the dead?
Detective J. Warner Wallace joins Frank to answer those questions. He cites a technique that law enforcement uses to ensure that evidence from murder or any crime isn’t corrupted. It’s called the Chain of Custody. Is there a chain of custody that secures the evidence about the identity of Jesus from the time of the eyewitnesses all the way to the fourth century when manuscript evidence was more abundant? Listen to find out. This is fascinating!

14 Jan 2022 | The Top Ten Questions to Ask Skeptical Friends | 00:48:16
How do you get a spiritual conversation started? Can you do it without appearing awkward? Should your goal be to bring someone to the foot of the cross in every conversation you have? Join Frank as he reveals the Top Ten questions that will help you have effective evangelism conversations with friends and even people you meet for the first time. As you’ll see, your goal should not be to bring everyone to the foot of the cross in every conversation. Just moving people closer to Christ incrementally should be your goal in most instances. This takes the pressure off of you by acknowledging that other people and the Holy Spirit have roles in the process too, which will mean you’ll be more apt to evangelize. Your job is to be faithful and to leave the results to God. Frank’s Ten Questions will help you be faithful and move people closer to Jesus. Don’t miss this very practical show!

21 Jan 2022 | Jesus and Elon Musk | 00:48:22
Can you get an interview with the richest man in the world and then talk about Jesus? Our friends at the Babylon Bee did—the hilarious Christian news satire site. Elon Musk, who is a fan of the Bee, sat for a wide-ranging interview last month that lasted nearly two hours. How did that happen? How did they decide what to ask him—including asking him if Jesus is his Lord and Savior? What happened behind the scenes?
Frank is joined by Seth Dillon, CEO of the Babylon Bee, to answer those questions and more. Seth is a student of apologetics who is eager to engage the culture with the truth of Christianity. Frank and Seth discuss some of Elon’s answers regarding Christianity, including the fact that his instincts on free will vs materialism are correct.
Musk is highly influential and just about anything he says is covered as news. Although the Bee’s interview has received almost unanimous praise and about 2 million views, some in the Christian community have claimed that Seth and his team should have been more aggressive in questioning Mr. Musk and presenting the gospel. Does Seth have any regrets about the way they handled the interview? Would he do anything differently if he could do it over? Are there any lessons for evangelism in here? How is his relationship with Elon now?

28 Jan 2022 | It’s Biology, not Bigotry | 00:48:22
Do you think a school teacher should be able to recruit your daughter to become sterile without your consent? That's happening in America today, as are many more disturbing developments. Frank was stunned when he read a recent speech by Abigail Shrier, author of 'Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters'. The speech, which you can find here sounds the alarm for parents to protect our children. Shrier succinctly sums up the social contagion that is enticing our daughters to make life-altering decisions without knowing the costs. Some teachers and the medical community are complicit. As Shrier puts it, they are bowing to the “woke gods". It's shocking, but what can you do about it? Please listen and share.

04 Feb 2022 | 9 Things That Science Will Never Explain | 00:48:20
With all our technological advances, won’t science one day answer all of our questions and give us all of our knowledge? Saying God did something doesn’t get us anywhere. That’s God of the gaps reasoning! We just have to give science more time to figure everything out. After all, we get all our knowledge from science. It’s at least the most reliable form of knowledge. So just be patient.
Actually, despite appearances, none of that is true. Science is wonderful and it has made our lives better in many ways. But there are limits to what it can do that may not be obvious in our culture. Join Frank as he reveals 9 Things That Science Will Never Explain. No matter how much science advances or how long we wait, science will never be able to explain these 9 things. In fact, you can’t do science without these 9 things!

14 Feb 2022 | Valentine’s Day Special: Why Love is Not a Feeling | 00:48:06
In this special show done on Valentine’s day, Frank unpacks the difference between “being in love” and loving someone. Too many people think that once the feeling of “being in love” is gone that the relationship is over and they need to find someone else. But if we blindly followed our fleeting feelings we would blow up our lives and the lives of those around us. Love actually seeks what is best for the loved one and vows to behave in a loving way. Marriage vows are not about feelings but behaviors. Frank shares from C.S. Lewis and the Bible to help us develop better relationships rather than follow fleeting feelings.

15 Feb 2022 | 10 Reasons Why Socialism Fails | 00:48:06
What is socialism and why doesn’t it work? In this special podcast, Frank shows that socialism doesn’t work because it ignores economics 101 in ten ways. It ignores basic truths about:
Private Property (it drives economics)
Rule of Law (necessary for a robust economy)
Free Enterprise (increases value)
Competition (motivates innovation & quality)
Self Interest and Service (creates wealth, not greed)
Adam Smith’s Invisible Hand (can’t be led top-down)
Free Rider Problem (human nature)
Ripple Effect (economics is not a static system)
Supply & Demand (can’t be dictated)
Scarcity (quarterbacks vs. teachers)
Frank also addresses the claim that since early Christians lived in a communal way in the book of Acts shouldn’t we?
All of these topics are covered in much more depth in the new online course: Jesus vs. the Culture: Who do you Trust? available at CrossExamined.org.

16 Feb 2022 | 4 Questions to Show that Christianity is True | 00:48:05
With so many people skeptical about God and the Bible, how can you actually show Christianity is true? In this podcast, Frank will show you how by summarizing the case he normally gives in his “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist” presentation.
The 4 questions that must be answered are these:
Does Truth Exist?
Does God Exist?
Are Miracles Possible?
Is the New Testament telling the Truth about the Resurrection of Jesus?
In just 48 minutes, Frank provides evidence to show that the answer to these 4 questions is “Yes.”

19 Feb 2022 | The Untold Story of C.S. Lewis | 00:48:23
The most influential apologist of the 20th century was once a hardened atheist. How did C.S. Lewis convert to become such a force for Christianity? Max McLean, writer and star of the brilliant new movie, “The Most Reluctant Convert: The Untold Story of C.S. Lewis” joins Frank for a fascinating discussion that answers that question and gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the movie. Max becomes C.S. 18 Feb 2022 | If God, Why Evil? | 00:47:05
If God is all-good and all-powerful, why doesn’t He stop evil? Maybe it’s because an all-good and all-powerful God doesn’t actually exist! That’s what some atheists will claim. In this show, Frank addresses that claim and these questions:
Does evil disprove God?
If not, what is God’s purpose for evil?
Why does God allow evil that seems to have no purpose?
What is God’s ultimate solution to evil?
This show offers one of the most profound insights that Frank learned while lamenting the fact that so much evil seems pointless. Why, for example, does a baby die when the entire church prays he won’t? What possible good can come out of a baby dying? Listen for the answer to that and several other perplexing questions.

In this show, Sean McDowell fills in for Frank Turek and is joined by Preston Ulmer, author of The Doubter’s Club. Together, they address these issues:
- How can we practically help people who doubt?
- How can we have meaningful conversations with seekers?
- How did Jesus approach doubters?
In this show, you will learn about “doubters clubs,” which is a movement of Christians engaging their non-Christian friends in meaningful conversation. You'll also get to hear about how these clubs operate and what it would take for you to lead one. Join us!

11 Mar 2022 | Should we expose false teachers? | 00:48:08
There are some people in the Christian church that say we ought not to expose false teachers or publicly name names. Rather, we should just focus on preaching the gospel. Question: Suppose your pastor got up one Sunday and told the congregation that they’d just found out that someone in the church had been exposing your kids to pornography and drugs. What would be your first question? “Who is this person pastor?!” Now suppose that same pastor responded with, “I don’t like to name names, let’s just focus on Jesus.” Would you accept that? No, and you shouldn’t! So it is when false teachers spread poisonous messages within the Christian church. In this week’s episode, Frank addresses such questions as: • How can we best preserve unity in the church? • Is unity the most important thing? • Is it wrong to publicly name names in the church? • What does the Bible have to say about how we are to deal with false teachers? BONUS: In the last segment Frank discusses Gov. Ron DeSantis’ comments regarding Disney’s woke lobbying against the Parental Rights in Education bill – also falsely dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. You don’t want to miss it! Also, check Greg Koukl’s statement to his high school board here.
