29 Apr 2020 | Ep 02 Anxious & Emotional Eating and Obtain Optimal Health Through Hypnosis | 00:11:28
The subconscious mind holds deep-seated emotional issues that when not addressed manifests itself in various forms. The brain has its ability to send messages that in essence keeps you safe but in reality, blocks you from facing the reality head-on. This keeps reinforcing in you that scarcity mindset, and when you do have it, all you can do is react to it as expected. An impulsive action happens all the time. And most times in my dealings with clients, most of this anxiety and emotional eating goes back to those times in the past where one is deprived of food where your own parents stop you from eating, it may also be that food provides you a distraction away from any emotional battle you are experiencing at one time or another without you knowing it. It is actually our fears that we let to run our lives that prevent us from truly acknowledging what the issue is all about. When those aren’t brought to light then it triggers anxiety leading to emotional eating. That is why when we let subconscious modalities that I know of work in our body, then, we will see that opportunity mindset sets in. We always think that there will be enough for us and we don’t resort to actions that will only fill that void even more. There is mindful eating that happens, a deep understanding of those fears that we have, and getting back control of what is happening around. When that occurs self-awareness begins to make sense. And it is in making sense of all these that we begin to have peace and move us so much faster from the problem that we get ourselves in. “The biggest cause of anxiety that I see in clients is scarcity. One of the things that get locked in there from the primitive brain is this needing to survive and actually thinking that there is not enough. And when we feel this lack, most of us don't even realize what's actually happening that causes us to take that impulsive action, which can lead to emotional anxious eating, which is how we can feel so out of control.” - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode:

18 Apr 2022 | Ep 114 Menopause: Belief Is Everything | 00:11:59
Nothing is more powerful than our thoughts. Besides, society tells us that is what is happening. And we believe it.The same thing happens with menopause. Though Science points out facts around weight gain and not losing weight, ultimately, it's what we believe that matters. If you continue reinforcing the belief of what everybody says about it with the bad habits and thinking, that would only add up to making you not drop off those excess pounds even more. Statistics have proven that many women have dropped pounds even in their menopause stage. There is so much that belief can do to lose weight. If all you think about is what others say about menopause, consider thinking that there could be something else adding up to this wrong notion about menopause and losing weight. Something deep-rooted might be getting in the way, which needs to be addressed. Hypnosis can help you figure that out. "There are so many things tied into menopause, around weight gain, and that you can't lose weight. It doesn't mean that Science isn't real. I know physiologically what happens, but I also know that you can actually lose weight. But your belief could be what's holding you back. 13 Dec 2021 | Ep 96 Bariatric Surgeon Discusses Mindset for Permanent Weight Loss | 00:36:01
Don't you know that the triggers we experience in childhood are factors blocking our weight loss? Medical studies show that whatever stress or emotional issues we deal with early on in life will become medical problems later in life. The mind and body will create a shield to shut out all the pain by eating them away with food. That's what often happens than what we care to know about. Do you want to mask it forever with false cures, or do you want that peace and freedom for the rest of your life? Dr. Franchell Hamilton's years of education started at the University of Houston Honors College, where she received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Chemistry, summa cum laude. She further pursued her education in Lyon, France, where she completed graduate studies in biochemical engineering. It was not until the chance encounter with an orthopedic surgeon that Dr. Hamilton's future began to take shape. Upon hearing that Dr. Hamilton was unsure of what to do with her future, he encouraged her to pursue a career in medicine. In just this brief interaction with a stranger, a new path was formed. The impact of his words inspired Dr. Hamilton to also change the lives of those she meets through practicing medicine, and eventually, consulting. And so, she continued her education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to earn her doctorate in medicine. She then attended Eastern Virginia Medical School to complete her residency, and ultimately her fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. The bariatric surgeon she was studying under demonstrated the large impact weight loss alone can have on a person's health. This realization led her to refine the scope of her medical career by focusing on weight loss and wellness. After completing her bariatric fellowship in 2013, Dr. Hamilton did just that. She founded A Better Weigh Center – a place for her patients to receive treatments ranging from bariatric surgery and medical weight loss to hormone therapy. In this episode, Dr. Franchell shares how mindset is essential in any patient's weight loss journey as it impacts the way you deal with pain and stress. If your emotions are not stabilized and dealt with firsthand, you will always go back to how you used to be. You can have the surgery now, but the littlest of triggers will make you spiral back to food obsession if you don't feel safe in your thoughts and emotions. And the same problem keeps presenting itself with no permanent solution. There is a huge emotional factor after surgery. Relationships also play a big part in this. And when these things are all being addressed first, even that alone can help you lose weight. And Hypnosis is all about that mindset work – working on your emotional mastery, not just giving you a temporary solution but one of lasting transformation. "I always empower my patients as we can; if you want surgery, we have to go through this mindset stuff first. If you don't, and then who knows? At the end of four months, three months, you may not need surgery. So, I often leave it up to them. I've had people who were on the surgery track and did so well that they didn't need surgery, and even my surgery patients, they do better and keep it off permanently." - Dr. Franchell Hamilton What you will learn from this episode: 00:53 - The reason that got her into becoming a weight loss surgeon 08:29 - How did the mindset that comes with permanent weight loss come in? 12:58 - Revamping the way she deals with patients' weight loss and sharing what the process looks like 16:38 - Ways to help you deal with all the past trauma, feeling safe, and with no fear of judgment 19:35 - When does she suggest when to just work on the mindset or else do both, work on the mindset and surgery next 23:02 - Sharing the possibility of losing a 100-pound weight with mindset alone and no surgery 27:20 - What role your support system plays when deciding to go on bariatric surgery 30:37 - A big undertaking that you have to expect and be prepared for when doing bariatric surgery 31:39 - Talking about what her book is all about: Transformation Is A Mindset: The Journey to Changing Your Input and Your World 32:15 - Sharing about an app of which she is the medical director that helps create better habits, be more positive, and be more grateful: Fresh Tri Connect with Dr. Franchell Hamilton: Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

14 Apr 2025 | Ep 293 The Hidden Cost of Surviving | 00:31:51
Why does it feel like no matter how hard you try, you're still stuck in survival mode? Why do you lash out at the people you love, then feel terrible about it afterward? Why does intimacy feel impossible—even though all you want is a deep connection? If you're asking yourself these questions, you're not alone. So many high-functioning women are silently battling the effects of trauma, often without even realizing it. From childhood abuse to emotionally neglectful parenting, these wounds leave lasting imprints on the nervous system. You might be smiling on the outside, doing all the things, but inside it feels like you're barely holding it together. Healing is absolutely possible. In this episode, Leslie explains how true transformation requires more than willpower—it takes action, conscious intention, and deep unconscious work. Through personal breakthrough sessions and NLP tools, she's helped countless women release old survival patterns and finally step into the freedom they crave. If you want to stop just surviving and start living, this conversation is your invitation. "If you wanna stop just surviving and finally start living, it's time to do something different. I'm talking about permanent change, not a bandaid, not a quick fix. Let me tell you the three things that are required to have that permanent change. Number one is you need to take action. Number two is you need to focus on what you want and know what you want. And number three is you must do unconscious work. This is the piece almost everyone misses. You have to go beneath the surface. You can't create a new life with an old survival blueprint. And this is the work I get to do with my clients every single day." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:11 - Revealing how unresolved abuse—especially emotional can deeply affect self-worth, body image, and coping behaviors like overeating or overworking 04:30 - Comparing people with traumatic upbringings to rescue dogs, urging us to replace self-judgment with compassion 08:00 - Manifestations of a deeply buried trauma 11:17 - Explaining how unresolved trauma can create hidden survival patterns 14:48 - Showing how unresolved trauma silently damages health and relationships 18:05 - Emphasizes that deep healing—not willpower or self-coaching—is what truly allows you to move from merely surviving to fully living 20:56 - Outlining the three keys to lasting change 23:04 - A powerful client story showing how deep fear and skepticism can be overcome through willingness, unconscious healing, and the right support to create real, lasting change 27:10 - Sharing heartfelt stories of transformation and encouraging to seek help, that you’re not alone, healing is possible, and thriving is worth the risk Valuable Resources:

20 May 2024 | Ep 246 How to TRULY Attract Love By Your Permanent Weight Loss Journey | 00:34:17
The quest for love often intersects with the pursuit of physical perfection. Many of us, driven by societal pressures, find ourselves obsessively focused on weight loss as a means to attract the ideal partner. This fixation, however, can lead to a cycle of anxiety and disconnection from one's authentic self, ultimately hindering the very goal we seek to achieve. Despite rigorous dieting and weight loss efforts, the desired deep, meaningful relationships often remain elusive, leading to frustration and self-doubt. This struggle is magnified by the belief that physical appearance is the sole determinant of attractiveness and compatibility. People frequently ignore the deeper, more intrinsic factors that foster genuine connections. The constant worry about weight and diet not only disrupts one's emotional well-being but also diminishes the ability to be present and authentically engaged in relationships. This preoccupation hinders energy, intuition, and emotional expression—key elements that contribute to a vibrant and attractive persona. However, the solution lies not in relentless dieting, but in undertaking a profound journey of self-discovery and inner healing. By shifting the focus from external validation to internal alignment, individuals can unlock their true selves and, in turn, attract partners who appreciate them for who they genuinely are. Embracing this holistic approach to weight loss and self-acceptance paves the way for authentic relationships. In this episode, Leslie delves into this transformative process of healing by way of Hypnosis. Through Leslie's personal anecdotes and practical advice she highlights how embracing one's authentic self, including their natural body shape and eating habits, can lead to both permanent weight loss and the attraction of a truly compatible, loving partner. This journey, though challenging, ultimately empowers individuals to cultivate deeper connections and live fulfilling lives, free from the constraints of societal expectations. "If you master understanding your triggers and what upsets you and what creates emotion, you're going to master your life. Like you're going to master relationships because relationships have lots of emotions involved." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 00:01 - The importance of acknowledging and understanding one's true desires when losing weight 06:36 - Addressing the psychological aspects of dieting and emotional eating 09:35 - Exploring the relationship between weight loss, self-worth, and attracting a healthy, authentic partner 13:59 - The importance of authenticity in both diet and relationships. 18:38 - Attractiveness is solely not tied to being thin 23:24 - Significance of feeling secure and confident in oneself and in one's body, and how this security can attract positive attention and relationships 26:18 - The value of hiring a coach to help you in this journey of healing your food and body weight issues 27:15 - How achieving a healthy and secure relationship involves inner work and self-acceptance Valuable Resources:

29 Nov 2021 | Ep 94 Bottling Up Emotions & Stress Eating | 00:16:07
Losing weight is already one big challenge, but how much harder is it for one when you have all this unwanted baggage and inhibitions that you haven't dealt with for the longest time? What happens is, for all those pains and frustrations that you cannot express, you'll end up numbing them with food. And before you know it, you're a few dreaded pounds more than the last time you checked. Here's the thing with having permanent weight loss, that for you to have a lifetime transformation, you've got to have the choice of having that mental sanity that whatever weight you're at, it doesn't bother you and that you free yourself from whatever it is that's controlling you. That diet mentality is what's keeping you from moving out of that zone, and the reason why you're still stuck in your food and bodyweight problem is that you think it's all about restricting everything. That's not true at all. The only thing that will truly set you free is when you make the choice of stepping out of your food prison and that mental madness of constantly dreading weight gain and all that control you're holding on to. There's hard work getting there, but life becomes so much better when you finally get to that point where food doesn't matter anymore. That's what Hypnosis is about, slowing those mental chatters and releasing all those controls, so you're free around food, eating what you feel like, and just being present at the moment. "I gotta tell you, life is way better since I made that choice [stepping out of that diet mentality], though it felt extremely painful on my way to get here. But I can't even tell you how much I love my life now. I would not have been able to grow and expand into the woman I am today if I still had the shackles of diet mentality around me, and being terrified of gaining weight." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 02:07 - What it looked like for this woman knowing and feeling she is unwanted 03:34 - Who we are with all those baggage and who we are without those inhibitions 06:30 - One important thing you need to understand about permanent weight loss 07:58 - Steps to take to stop all the madness around food and body weight 09:54 - How life turns so much better after all the pain of getting there 11:56 - It's all about letting go of that control, whatever that is, that you kept on holding on Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

31 May 2021 | Ep 65 Permanent Weight Loss and Finding Freedom From the Baggage With Renee Jones | 00:41:39
Some people can hold themselves accountable, but some can’t. Why can we not pay as much attention to losing weight as we do in other important areas in our life? How can we go further and faster without just not ourselves doing that? Renee Jones spent 40 years on that Diet Yo-Yo, and in 2012, she finally smashed it by overcoming emotional eating and has maintained her healthy weight since then. Her mission is to help others who struggle with their weight, who look to food for stress relief and to soothe themselves. No diet, exercise routine, or magic diet potion can counter the effects when we’ve stuffed down our feelings and followed it with a food chaser. We have to heal our hearts. When we face our stuff, we no longer need to stuff our faces. With a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Clinical Residency, she utilizes traditional and contemporary models as well as relaxation and horse-assisted methods to help her clients free themselves by addressing emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. In 2011, she opened an international private practice in counseling, serving clients and colleagues in the U. S., United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, India, Vietnam, South Africa, Romania, Australia, and New Zealand. In this episode, Renee shares how she had all this emotional baggage she carried with her, having this belief, and this feeling of not being acceptable, being too much, or not good enough. How she has not believed in herself for so long, thinking she’s never attractive and skinny enough to attract anyone, was such an eye-opener for her the moment she knew she needed to change. Find out how travel and life experiences help you to look beyond yourself and your focus on food. She actually found an acronym for questions she needed to ask herself to get past her food dilemma, and this has worked for her. Find out about it; it might help you, too. When you feel like your cravings win over you, she has the best solution to that without depriving yourself but still having an awareness of trusting your food decision. Often, we look for solutions that give us fast results, but when it comes to emotional mastery why should we give it more time and practice it needs just like other areas of our life? The memory we attach to food gives an insight into our focus on it. Learn what it is, recognize it, understand it and deal with it. There has to be healing in every transformation before the total turnaround, and it’s important to allow yourself to go through it to move ahead. There is no one-solution-fits-all; that’s why you need to find out what works for you. Staying on your track to reach your goal is not easy; that’s why Renee suggests that if you can’t hold yourself accountable, find someone else to do that for you. Hence, finding a community that understands your journey and has your back every step of the way is a big help. “I had to face my stuff. So I would no longer need to stuff my face for comfort.” - Renee Jones What you will learn from this episode: 02:53 - The emotional baggage she had to deal with growing up 04:45 - If she had believed more in herself 06:06 - What helped her get out of the wrong mentality about herself 12:25 - The crucial questions you need to ask yourself to overcome your obsession over food 14:14 - Why go get it 14:58 - What she says to clients who are having cravings 19:46 - Give yourself some grace to learn 23:37 - Why don’t we give emotional mastery the same time and practice as we do other things in life? 26:48 - The need to find what works for your body 33:30 - What memory do you attach your food with 35:10 - Recognizing helps and give it the attention it needs 37:53 - Wounds have to heal before you are ready to move forward 39:51 - Figure out your goal and stay on your path towards it - Click here for your Compass Exercise: http://packyourownbag.com/friends/ Connect with Renee Jones: Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

28 Jun 2021 | Ep 72 The Cat Energy when Losing Weight and Getting Fit | 00:15:25
Our way of being is the most important thing to us. That is what makes the difference in our life. This way of being is compared to a dog versus cat energy. When you have the dog's energy, you are bursting with enthusiasm to do things faster than you forget about how to be present at the moment; your mind is all occupied with all the things you want to be done right there and then. How about becoming more like a cat this time -- taking it slow, being mindful of what's happening around you, getting into yourself, just being calm, and being on the receiving end of help? That way, you become more aware of the emotions you feel (anger, sadness, loneliness, etc.) and distinguish what that actually means -- is it really craving for food or something far more important than just that? But, if you actually have been a cat all this time, you can try becoming a dog. It's all a matter of experiment. See what's on the other end. You can always have an empowered choice. And that is what Hypnosis helps you achieve. "Learning more like a cat and mastering that way of being, in my experience, has been beautiful. It has attracted me to new experiences, new people, new situations; it's gotten me a healthy relationship with myself, my mind and my body." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:17 - Leslie's important announcement 02:28 - Sharing her evolution from struggling with food and body weight to now helping others deal with what she went through 04:48 - A Hypnosis student success story 06:26 - The way of being - are you more of a dog or a cat personality? 10:11 - Challenge yourself - be more like a cat when you are a dog personality 11:23 - What it means when you're feeling like a cat 12:13 - What you can look forward to when you learn more like a cat and master its way of being 14:16 - It's all about experimentation - make a Science experiment of yourself Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

10 Jan 2022 | Ep 100 Food Addiction The Voice That's Causing You To Eat | 00:27:02
It’s nice to look back on how this podcast got started and see how far it has gone in doing its part of letting the message out and touching many lives. Can’t also help but think of the times when Leslie fought her own battle with food addiction and what that looked like for her. Talk about emotional eating, that constant bingeing and craving for food. Add the countless diets she had to hop on from one to another and all the diet trends available out there but still to no avail. Yes, she may have gotten things in control for a time, and she succeeded at keeping away from food, but those times she gave in and fell off track, that was making her feel guilty about herself not sticking to what she was supposed to do and all those negative self-talk comes into play again. Imagine how dark life seems to be when you have all those unnecessary voices at the back of your head messing up with you and your life. Being in that constant hustle-hamster-wheel of letting off the hook of body weight is just a cross to bear. Body-hating is just one consequence; consider low self-esteem, throw in unhappy relationships with family, loved ones, and love life — and you’re in for a chaotic life within that you unconsciously try to mask with something short-term. This episode speaks of how Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss helped everyone heal and achieve emotional mastery. And how liberating that feels when you gain not just temporary but a lifetime of transformation. 24 Mar 2025 | Ep 290 The Most Powerful Hypnosis Tool for Permanent Weight Loss: Unlock Emotional Intimacy for Lasting Change | 00:27:21
Are you stuck in an endless cycle of dieting, feeling like your happiness lies on the number on the scale? Despite your best efforts, the weight always seems to come back, leaving you frustrated and defeated. Why does it feel impossible to break free and find lasting peace with your body? The truth is, the problem goes far deeper than calories and exercise. Emotional disconnection often drives the urge to soothe with food, leading to guilt and shame. Without meaningful emotional intimacy — both with yourself and others — the stress and loneliness only amplify, making sustainable weight loss feel like an uphill battle. The key to lasting change isn’t another restrictive diet, but reconnecting with your emotions. By building emotional resilience and addressing the root causes of emotional eating, you can break free from the cycle for good. Through Leslie’s HEAL method, you’ll gain the tools to cultivate self-trust, regulate emotions, and create a healthier, more empowered relationship with food and your body. "When you cultivate emotional intimacy, your nervous system shifts from a state of stress to a state of relaxation. And this balanced state supports better digestion, improved metabolism, healthier hormone regulation, all of which support weight loss. Plus the more emotionally supported you feel, the less likely you are to turn to food as a coping mechanism." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 02:53 - What is emotional intimacy and the different types 06:12 - The importance of emotional intimacy in achieving permanent weight loss 11:14 - How cultivating emotional intimacy with oneself and others can reduce emotional eating 15:15 - Tools to help you resolve emotional disconnection 19:40 - How temporary highs from weight loss can lead to unsustainable dieting cycles 22:47 - Explaining how cultivating emotional intimacy fosters self-trust, resilience, and emotional regulation, leading to empowered food choices, reduced emotional eating, and sustainable weight loss 24:25 - An invitation to a lifetime of happiness and freedom Valuable Resources:

09 Dec 2020 | Ep 36 Why You Can't Stay On Track and How to Achieve Permanent Weight Loss? | 00:25:06
Diet culture is making a mess of one's life. One makes wrong of himself, and you feel bad for yourself for wanting what is normal. And this is most often where you fall off track. When all around you is controlled, not meeting your goal is the likelihood. There has to be a way to respond to your authentic self's desires. Only when you lean on to that authentic self will you be free to move around, whether around food or whatever that is making you scared. We need to be able to distinguish a fear-based action versus actions based on self-love. Most often, there is that voice of a little child in us whispering for it to be given attention to and not to be ignored. If we tend to be kind enough to give in to this little voice's request, we will have peace in ourselves. That which is controlled often fails. Always having in mind what other people think of you often rip you apart. Why not do what makes you happy and face your truth this time? I know it's never easy, but you are not doing this alone. It takes a lot of practice and commitment to reach the other side of where you are now. If you keep falling back to where you were and still getting stuck, you have probably been climbing upstream against the tide. Why not follow the path of least resistance this time? There is a way to teach your body a new pattern. There is a way to reparent your subconsciousness. Hypnosis for permanent weight loss provides a relaxing way to your freedom. "The point is that anything you try and manage and control always at the end of the day fails, especially a diet." - Leslie Thornton Topics Covered:

Do you have tendencies to look after others' needs before your own? Do you behave a certain way so people don't get upset and always get what they want from you? You attend to everyone's troubles, but you have a hard time making sense of your own. That could be a sign you are a people pleaser, and chances are, you are stress-eating because that's how they relate with each other. That when it happens, your only way out and source of consolation is food. That often happens when you are not aware of where that stress is coming from. What easier way to deal with it than stuffing yourself with food. But, more than just thinking of food as the solution, there must be something else to help you ease the stress away. Feeling through those feelings is the best way out. But it's always hard the first few times you do it. And it requires self-mastery. 23 Nov 2022 | Ep 153 Rewrite Your Script | 01:11:36
A lot of things happen in our lives that drive our emotions and thoughts. Our actions are induced by this, whether we run away from it or lean into faith and trust. The ability to look at things objectively, pondering why things happen to us and not to others. It is true that one thing can mean different things to different people, but when you truly know what you need, you make decisions from a place of empowerment. We act based on our emotions, and if they are not mastered, things can get out of control. To walk the path to freedom and peace, we need the help and support of mentors and coaches. Not to mention the tools needed for self-mastery. Gavin McHale is a personality development coach who helps high performers live a more conscious and impactful life. In this episode, Gavin shares his experience numbing everything away with alcohol. Instead of facing the problem head-on, he went farther away from it, looking for short-term solutions that dragged him more into the pit of desperation. The same thing happened when he had to face challenges in his business. When he realized he wouldn't settle for less than what he set out to achieve, he acknowledged the problem, looked for the solution, and reached out to people he knew to have his best interest at hand. And that made him expand his life from a place of love and commitment. "This is what matters in life; living a better life is becoming aware of your patterns, becoming more conscious, and then truly making an intentional decision to change them." - Gavin Mchale What you will learn from this episode: 07:00 - 3 lessons from the podcast accountability story 13:40 - Change takes time, but when it does it happens all at once 15:00 - Selling transformation 21:37 - The idea of 'updating your operating system' 23:49 - What to look for when finding a coach and mentor 28:51 - Gavin shares his experience with getting the best coaches to help him and work with 32:08 - Leaning into trust and faith 38:50 - What it takes to learn faster and get results quicker 48:45 - Every event is neutral, depending on where you're coming from 55:28 - Making your action lead to more alignment in your life and decisions 56:34 - Finding opportunities in the circumstances you're in instead of finding faults 01:00:35 - That safety net you've been holding on to is not actually what it is; dig deep 01:06:44 - Get an objective assessment of yourself; the answer is just inside of yourself Connect with Gavin McHale:

28 Oct 2024 | Ep 269 Breakdown of the Core Categories of the H.E.A.L. Method | 00:35:26
Have you ever wondered why no matter how many diets you try, the results never seem to last? You might lose weight or feel more in control for a while, but the stress and temptation eventually creep back, pulling you into the same old cycles of yo-yo dieting, frustration, and self-blame. Many find themselves trapped in an endless loop of trying to improve their weight only to be met with the same disappointments. It’s no wonder these cycles feel impossible to break. After all, most diet plans and weight loss programs focus solely on what you should or shouldn’t eat, leaving out the most crucial factor: your emotional and mental relationship with food, body, and self. Without addressing these underlying issues, diets become temporary solutions, only masking the deeper emotional triggers and ingrained beliefs about food and self-worth that keep you stuck. Every time you try to rely on sheer willpower or ignore your own body’s signals, you may only feel more disconnected, unfulfilled, and out of control. There’s a better way to deal with this struggle—one that goes beyond the diet industry’s focus on deprivation and restriction. Leslie’s HEAL method is a holistic approach that aims to empower you to break free from this cycle once and for all. By guiding you to master your emotional responses, align your actions with what truly feels good, and build a sustainable, self-compassionate relationship with food and yourself, HEAL offers not just temporary relief but a path to lasting freedom from food and weight issues. "In my experience with working with clients, this is what happens. Once you learn how to say yes to yourself and learn how to listen to these actual truths within you, because no other diet plan is going to know who you are. Only you could know what feels right and doesn't feel right for you. And women specifically do better when they feel better." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:10 - Brief overview of the HEAL method 02:10 - Hypnosis as the foundational element of the HEAL method 06:03 - Illustrating through a client example how unresolved emotions, self-criticism, and bottling up feelings often lead to emotional eating or overeating 11:21 - Delving into the "Emotional Mastery" stage of the HEAL method which is considered as the most transformative part 20:49 - Discussing the "Aligned, Authentic Action" phase of the HEAL method emphasizing the importance of tuning into one's current needs, lifestyle, and self-care preferences 28:16 - Explaining "Learning Lasting Self-Care," and encouraging to build a sustainable, self-compassionate mindset and authentic health practices Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

25 Nov 2020 | Ep 34 Isolation During Holidays and the Journey to Permanent Weight Loss | 00:19:38
Thanksgiving day is just around the corner; it may not be like the celebrations we used to have before, but definitely, there is holiday eating, family getting together and of course the stress that comes with it. If you are one to be scared about food and all the time thinking of dieting the whole day, then this could be pretty stressful for you. Obsessing over bodyweight, having a hard time thinking of the situation and you don't have a space to feel safe about all your fears could affect your mental health. That drives isolation, and it's real. And when you feel isolated, that's when you get stuck with food and body image, and it's unhealthy for you. And with COVID happening right now, it just makes things all the more difficult. It can lead you to be thinking of things that make it even scarier. Often, that which you constantly think about is the one likely happening. Whatever it is that you put your thoughts into ends up a reality for you. When fear clouds everything you do and say, it limits yourself to be more - that which you are supposed to be. Some may be gripped by fear, though. But you only have to look around, see, and realize that even during this time, some open opportunities for transformation. They've got a structure in place that provides you with a safe space to allay your fears. They've got a community; they've got inspired action to help you live your authentic truth. And Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss does just that. It helps you understand that life is just the way you look at it. If you believe the sky is falling, then that's what you get, and it gets manifested. If you see life is happening for you and not to you, then you will trust yourself and others and be at peace with yourself. Take action now - you are meant for more. "You're getting present to your body, into yourself into, your truth, and your love, and your happiness now. Are you feeling stuck in a cycle of arguments, stress, and unmet emotional needs in your relationships? Do you find yourself constantly taking on responsibility for everything, leaving you exhausted and unfulfilled? What if the way you communicate is the key to breaking free and creating the harmony you’ve been craving? Without learning how to balance masculine and feminine communication styles, you may find yourself stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection, and unhealthy coping mechanisms like stress eating or burnout. Through a combination of self-awareness, emotional mastery, and a willingness to practice new habits, it’s possible to create relationships that bring joy, ease, and fulfillment. Leslie’s program offers tools, insights, and guidance to help you make lasting changes, empowering you to feel loved, understood, and at peace in your personal and professional life. What if the key to moving forward isn’t just another diet or goal, but a deeper decision about who you’re willing to be—for yourself? In this episode, we’re joined by Cris Duvall, a dental hygienist, patient-health advocate, and wellness coach who knows firsthand the toll that being stuck can take. She opens up about how procrastination once froze her in place, slowly chipping away at her self-esteem, her health, and her relationships. Like many of us, Cris tried to push through on her own—until she realized that healing starts when we tell ourselves the truth and ask for help. She reflects on the ways we often look outside ourselves for answers, when the real power comes from becoming what she calls an “internal sorter”—someone who trusts their own voice again. Through her story, you'll hear how she moved from survival mode to what she now calls living on the “fun bus,” surrounded by people who support her joy, growth, and truth. Cris’s journey is a powerful reminder that transformation begins with a single choice: to be fully present for your own life. By putting herself first, not out of selfishness but out of self-respect, she found new energy, purpose, and connection. Whether it's health, relationships, or simply feeling alive again, her story offers a path forward for anyone ready to stop settling and start showing up. If you've been wondering when it's time to change—this might be your moment. Let Chris inspire you to finally invest in yourself, and make decisions that honor who you are and who you’re becoming. “After that breakthrough session, I am much more calm and at peace with what I get to do over here as opposed to what I was feeling like I'm going to be disappointing God or disappointing somebody if I decide to do something else with my life. And so now it's much easier to combine and enjoy my life and to be free of those inner struggles. So it was very powerful for me.” - Cris Duval What you will learn from this episode: 04:09 - Breaking free from procrastination and negative self-talk leading to healing, freedom, and overcoming emotional eating 07:57 - A near-death experience and profound personal loss helped shape her lifelong mission to save lives and foster health, values, and meaningful connections. 15:25 - How facing the long-term consequences of poor health choices has deepened her belief in living intentionally and prioritizing well-being now 19:53 - Sharing how breaking free from food-related suffering allows people to rediscover their true purpose, potential, and inner voice 26:11 - What made her seek Leslie's coaching 28:58 - A turning point that freed her from judging others and empowered her to create a more purposeful and positive life 33:49 - How these three dynamics in her life created a desire to have an inner peace 37:02 - The most important highlight in her breakthrough session 40:47 - Talking about the conscious versus the unconscious mind 43:48 - The cost of being stuck 45:30 - Emphasizing the importance of seeking counsel only from those committed to telling the truth, not just what you want to hear 50:00 - Sharing about her 'Fun Bus' philosophy and a heartwarming story about meeting Mel Robbins 56:19 - Cris' words of encouragement and wisdom Connect with Cris Duval:

16 Dec 2020 | Ep 37 Finding Joy Away From Food and Losing Weight Without Exercise | 00:24:39
Can't you seem to find joy outside of food, alcohol, and parties? Why do you always make yourself wrong for wanting to have food? How can you stop yourself from constantly thinking about it? Is that even possible? How not to fear food and strongly wrestle with the thought of not eating a cookie lest you gain those pounds you so continually dread? These questions appear to be endless. Think of a life where you don't stress yourself too much around food. You stop getting scared of the idea of food. Instead, you move freely around it and enjoy the satisfaction for which it brings you without feeling the unnecessary guilt we almost always subject ourselves to. Yes, a life entirely ditching a diet mentally where when you fall off track, you will only end up depressed and getting back to being unstuck. You can have a life centered on your passions that brings you profound happiness and joy. As with client’s’ experience, Hypnosis for permanent weight loss helped slow down their minds to this nagging voice running inside their heads.. They start not caring about food, diet, and exercising any more than they used to. You may be unconscious of it right now, or you are already starting your journey to your path of alignment. Yet you still find food as your comfort blanket; that's understandable. Each one has a unique path. And this is the best time for you to explore all the possibilities for yourself. You can pursue your passions. You can go into meditation; that helps you bring back to your core. Consider getting yourself back to the past and think about what you love doing in your childhood and bring it back today. Also, service to others is the one best thing to get you out of your head and out of food. People find happiness serving other people. Have dates with friends. But not so much around food and alcohol but on something else you both love doing outside of it. Before you know it, you'll find yourself wanting it to happen every so often. You might want the idea of journaling, or else you can do gardening. How about you listen to music and dance like crazy. Meditation also helps. You can have all the creative things to do; all you have to do is plan it, set a time for it, and take action. But the thing is, if you can't connect to your reason why you are doing it, then it's not sustainable. I recommend you look for someone successful in what they do and help you be accountable for your actions and become successful yourself. If that is what you want for you and your life, you can contact me. Let's talk and journey together to your path to freedom and success. "Through Hypnosis and slowing the mind through becoming more aware of what's happening, and the thoughts that you have in your brain about what you're eating when you're eating, and why you're eating, you can bring back the joy in food. And it doesn't have to be such a scary, threatening, awful thing anymore that you're back and forth with 'I love it,' 'I hate it," I can't stand it,' 'I can't have enough of it.'" - Leslie Thornton Topics Covered:

03 Feb 2025 | Ep 283 From Burnout to Breakthrough: Mastering Self-Care for Business Success | 00:28:31
Have you ever felt like no matter how much you achieve, you’re still running on empty? You push through exhaustion, ignore your emotions, and convince yourself that success means sacrificing your well-being. But what if the very thing holding you back in business isn’t strategy—it’s your inability to process emotions? For high achievers, burnout isn’t a distant threat—it’s a ticking time bomb. The drive to succeed can lead to overworking, numbing emotions with food or distractions, and suppressing stress instead of addressing it. You may pride yourself on being in control, but underneath, unresolved emotions are draining your energy, affecting your health, relationships, and ultimately, your business. The key to sustainable success isn’t more discipline or another productivity hack—it’s emotional mastery. Leslie shares how leaders who neglect their emotions unknowingly build their businesses on unstable foundations, leading to cycles of burnout and frustration. True transformation happens when you stop suppressing emotions and start engaging with them, recognizing that growth comes from feeling, not just thinking. By embracing emotional mastery, you create a business and life that are both fulfilling and sustainable. Leslie’s approach helps leaders reframe their struggles with food, weight, and stress, not as failures, but as signs pointing to deeper emotional work. When you align your inner world with your goals, success becomes effortless, authentic, and lasting. If you’re ready to break free from the burnout cycle and build a business that thrives without sacrificing your well-being, now is the time to take action. Leslie’s proven methods can help you shift from constant striving to genuine success—one that honors your health, relationships, and personal fulfillment. "What I saw for myself was that if I did not find a different way, if I did not figure out what was missing for these leaders that had them be incomplete in these very important areas of our lives, health, and relationship, then I was going to end up, sure, successful, but really unsuccessful when it came to my food, body and weight journey. And so I had to invest in the discovery and the education of how to master my food body and weight stuff and how to master my relationship stuff. And what I found was that the missing piece was emotional mastery." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:24 - The frustration of knowing what to do for health and struggling with consistency 03:04 - Leslie reflecting on her leadership training experience: how even top leaders struggle with weight and relationships 09:15 - Identifying emotional mastery as the missing piece in leadership and success 14:03 - Contrasting two types of success—unsustainable hustle versus steady, confident longevity 17:35 - How high achievers often analyze their struggles but fail to process emotions, leading to unresolved issues in health, relationships, and ultimately business success 20:38 - Emphasizing that true success requires emotional mastery, as unresolved emotions create instability in health, relationships, and business 23:25 - What true, lasting success requires 25:55 - Mastering emotions and embracing one's humanity as pathways to sustainable success Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

25 Dec 2023 | Ep 225 Interview with Dr. Tarryn McCarthy | 00:47:52
The metaphor of a sluggish computer and the upstream struggle of controlling every aspect of life couldn't be truer when talking about mindset and well-being. Drawing parallels between the complexities of a slow computer and the overwhelming nature of our thoughts digs deep into the significance of slowing down and embracing awareness, particularly in the aspect of fostering a healthy weight loss mindset through Hypnosis. The key lies in incorporating surrender and trust, providing the essential foundation to conquer fear and nurture self-compassion. The analogy of swimming upstream serves as a reminder of the importance of letting go of control and embracing life's natural flow. Hypnosis, in this context, becomes a powerful catalyst, enabling individuals to authentically experience their emotions without suppression and delve into the subconscious to rewire patterns hindering progress, thereby paving the way for newfound freedom and genuine happiness. Recognizing the roles of curiosity and clarity in personal empowerment, and understanding the profound link between changes in beliefs and subsequent shifts in behavior, highlights the critical role of Hypnosis. Having said that, the relevance of Hypnosis as a tool for unlocking the mind's potential in the pursuit of weight loss becomes increasingly important, establishing a powerful interplay between mindset and well-being on the path to lasting transformation. Join me as we explore this episode and gain insights from our guest expert on effectively navigating emotions, mastering them, and attaining a lifetime of happiness and freedom. And that math is backwards. It's actually the other way around. What you want is available to you right now. Feel that, live that as if it's already done. 01 Jul 2024 | Ep 252 Understanding and Addressing your Relationship with Food through Metaphors | 00:26:42
Despite the countless diets and weight loss plans, the mental and emotional turmoil associated with food and body image remains unresolved for many. The real issue lies not in the food itself but in the deeper, often hidden emotional and psychological wounds that drive unhealthy eating behaviors. These underlying issues are like the submerged part of an iceberg—vast and largely unseen, yet crucial to understand and heal. Ignoring these deeper problems perpetuates a cycle of temporary fixes and long-term dissatisfaction. In this episode, we dive into Anita Johnston's "Eating in the Light of the Moon," a book that uses powerful metaphors to shed light on the complex relationship between food and emotions. By exploring stories like 'the log in the river', 'the red herring', 'the woman in the moon', 'the peasant quest', 'the princess and the pea', and 'the iceberg', we reveal how diet mentality distracts from true healing. Through these metaphors, we learn the importance of connecting with our inner wisdom and addressing the real issues beneath the surface. Join us as we uncover the path to true food freedom, where emotional mastery and self-empowerment replace the constant battle with diet mentality. By listening to this episode, you'll gain valuable insights and practical tools to start your journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling relationship with food and yourself. "These stories and metaphors serve as powerful tools to help the reader understand and relate to their experiences with eating disorders, encouraging a deeper exploration of their emotions and fostering a path to recovery." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 00:01 - Insights from the book "Eating in the Light of the Moon" by Anita Johnston which delves into the psychological and emotional dimensions of eating disorders and unhealthy relationship with food 05:40 - How to truly heal: Listening to not just what you say but focusing on the pattern that goes inside your brain 06:53 - Advocating for intuitive eating as a key component of healing 07:59 - Focusing on the concept of self-discovery and healing as integral to transforming one's relationship with food and oneself 09:32 - Building community and the need to seek support from others 11:18 - Discussing the first metaphor, 'the log in the river' 14:09 - Talking about the metaphor of 'the red herring' 18:00 - What does the metaphor 'woman in the moon' illustrate 20:03 - 'Peasant quest': What does this metaphor represent 21:16 - 'The princess and the pea' and what this reveals about the food and body weight issues 22:07 - Understanding this 'metaphor of the iceberg' Valuable Resources:

Are you having weight problems making you resort to all diets available out there? Are your hormones giving you a hard time losing weight? Even though you try to jump on every available diet trend around, nothing works unless you change within. How do you lose weight without even trying to? Carmen Leonard, a Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss graduate, talks about her body image struggle, losing weight, and health issues. She used to hate her body for not looking the ideal way it should be, faulting it for her weight not coming off. Not until she met Leslie and started the Hypnosis program did she realize how grateful she is for the body she has as it survived the many health issues she went through. Find out why her relationship with her daughter was rekindled and she becomes more appreciative of her husband. She realized that your mental and physical health are two separate ones; you need to take care of each of them More than anything else, it is not about your diet; it is more about taking care of yourself and your self-esteem. If you think you are alone in your struggle, Carmen thought the same thing before, but you are not. That's where you need a community to share your struggle with and together find a solution to it. What Hypnosis provided her were tools she needed that were at her disposal every time the need arises. How it helped her get through those tough times, she is beyond grateful. More than anything, she shares that it's all beyond the physical thing. When your focus is not all about you, you learn to think more of what you can offer to help and make other people's lives better. "My intention would be that people would go outside of a diet. It's really not at all about that. 21 Oct 2024 | Ep 268 HPWL's H.E.AL. Method Explained | 00:32:32
Are you constantly struggling with food, body image, or weight, feeling like there's something wrong with you that needs fixing? Do you find yourself trapped in cycles of unhealthy habits, shame, and guilt, and unable to break free from them? If you've ever wondered why lasting change feels so out of reach, here's the truth--this problem is deeper than calories or scales—it's rooted in how we see ourselves. This constant self-criticism creates a mental and emotional burden that affects not just your body, but your entire life. The weight of judgment seeps into your relationships, your happiness, and even your family's well-being. You may find yourself disconnected from joy, fearful of your own emotions, and living a life that feels less than fulfilling. And without addressing the underlying causes, this cycle will continue, leaving you feeling stuck and exhausted. But there's a holistic way to deal with this one. The HEAL method offers a path not to fix you, but to help you rediscover the whole, complete person you’ve always been. By shifting your mindset and healing your emotional wounds, you can transform your health, relationships, and overall sense of joy. This journey isn’t about perfection—it's about unlocking your potential to live a vibrant, fulfilling life that's rooted in happiness and freedom. "If we keep thinking it's just calories in and calories out and following rigid rules, we're getting unhealthier. It's backfiring, it's not working. It's a huge problem in our society. Health is about freedom. It's about freedom to enjoy life's moments, eat the cake at the party, and the barbecue on the 4th of July without guilt. It's the guilt that's killing us. It's the shame that's killing us. It's not the food." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 03:28 - First of the four phases of the HEAL method: Hypnosis and its benefits 05:21 - Second phase: Emotional mastery, its purpose and benefits 06:37 - The third phase: Aligned authentic actions and the things you'll learn in this phase 08:07 - Introducing the fourth part of the HEAL method: Learn lasting self-care, the three key things you'll learn and its benefits 08:37 - "HEAL Method" and how it addresses emotional eating and subconscious beliefs through holistic approach rather than relying on temporary tactics like calorie counting or trendy diets 11:51 - Explaining the deeper emotional and mental aspects behind weight struggles 17:13 - Reflecting on the regrets of the dying, emphasizing that many people live according to others' expectations rather than staying true to themselves 21:42 - How true health is not about being skinny, but about feeling good in all aspects of life 26:45 - Leslie sharing how her true fulfillment comes from seeing people courageously take action and implement the lessons to transform themselves and their families 30:06 - Emphasizing how the HEAL method is not about fixing people but about helping them realize their inherent worth and guiding them to uncover the best version of themselves Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

10 Jun 2020 | Ep 10 Your Health and For the Love of Sugar | 00:27:23
There is something about sugar that we fear about. Rightly so, because research says it's more addicting than heroin or cocaine. I used to buy that idea before but not anymore, the reason is that Science proves it is easy to digest and metabolize sugar than it is to metabolize alcohol or any kind of drugs. Most often than not, diets involve not consuming much sugar. When you exercise, it is best accompanied by not eating sugar-laden food. Apart from sugar in fruits, you make sure there is nothing more than that. That makes life so restrictive. And when you tell yourself to stay away from sugar, your subconscious mind tells you to have it. And it's a never-ending tug of war between what you really want and what it calls you to do for your body's sake. And if this is how things roll out every day for you, putting morality on food, that it is bad or not good for you, it would never amount to anything. Permanent weight loss happens when you give yourself permission to just enjoy what you do, in this case, eating sugar and be at peace with the thought that you are aware of what it's gonna do for you and your health. This all amounts to awareness and intention. Whatever you do should come from a place of love for yourself and not fear for something that restricts you instead to be in the moment. This is where hypnosis helps in permanent weight loss, giving you the freedom to enjoy eating without feeling the guilt that you might get unwanted pounds or the shame that you have a body not everyone finds desirable or the fear nobody would want you for gaining extra pounds. It is about living your truth with the choice which you find best for you. When you don’t subject yourself to the rigidity of a plan that’s when abundance kicks in and self-awareness thrives. “When you think positive thoughts, you feel a positive way in your body and you don't need the food to numb you, you just need the food to exist.” - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode:

17 Feb 2025 | Ep 285 Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss Testimonial with Dr. Jim Arnold | 00:39:55
Many high achievers struggle with their relationship with food, caught in cycles of emotional eating, guilt, and frustration. They try to control it through willpower, diets, or extreme exercise, only to find themselves slipping back into old patterns. No matter how disciplined they are in other areas of life, food remains an ongoing battle. The real problem isn’t just the food—it’s what’s driving the behavior beneath the surface. Stress, guilt, and subconscious emotions create an automatic response, making it feel impossible to break free. Without addressing these deeper triggers, the cycle of overeating, self-criticism, and temporary fixes continues, leaving people feeling stuck and powerless. What if the answer isn’t more control, but unlocking the subconscious patterns running the show? Meet Dr. Jim Arnold, the guest for today's episode who is the founder of Luxury Dental Retreats, which combines exceptional dental education with luxury travel for growth-oriented dentists. He established a successful multi-practice dental group recognized for outstanding patient care and customer service while leading a high-performance team to drive excellence. With these events, Dr. Arnold is dedicated to sharing his strategies for practice growth while emphasizing the importance of maintaining work-life balance. Through Hypnosis and deep inner work, Dr. Jim discovered a way to rewire his relationship with food, bringing lasting peace and balance. Instead of fighting cravings or obsessing over the scale, he now moves through life with self-trust, knowing that food no longer holds power over him. "I had no idea what to expect going into it[Hypnosis]. But for me it was an extraordinary experience in that your[Leslie's] process literally unlocked my subconscious mind. I mean, I was aware of what was going on, but the things that came out of my brain and then out of my mouth were things that I had not ever thought of before. And so I think that's where the magic is. Having someone as adept at this whole process as you are pulling those things out, unlocking that subconscious mind, and then training that subconscious mind to keep those gains for the long run, that's really where the magic happens." - Jim Arnold What you will learn from this episode: 03:47 - His journey of weight fluctuations, the impact of athletic injuries, and how he sees Hypnosis as a means to achieve lasting weight loss and a healthier relationship with food 06:21 - Reflecting on his lifelong struggle with yo-yo weight fluctuations, and his commitment to lasting personal growth and well-being 09:11 - How shifting from an all-or-nothing mindset to a sustainable approach to fitness and diet has transformed his health 13:44 - Sharing how deep mindset work helped him gain control over his emotions, transforming his reactions to stress and frustration in ways that feel almost miraculous 24:11 - How gaining control over his temper has improved his relationships, allowing him to enjoy sports and daily life without frustration driving people away 26:18 - Explaining how overcoming emotional triggers helped him break the cycle of overeating 30:25 - Weight fluctuations, injuries, and health concerns - how these taught him the importance of emotional stability and self-compassion 34:40 - Revealing insights about Hypnosis he had never considered before 37:44 - How you can reach out to JIm and his luxury dental retreats Connect with Dr. Jim Arnold:

20 Nov 2023 | Ep 220 Weight Watchers Downfall | 00:34:27
Weight Watchers has long been a household name. For decades, the program has promised to help individuals shed those extra pounds through its unique points system and support network. However, recent years have seen a decline in the popularity and effectiveness of Weight Watchers. With its flawed points system, it is becoming restrictive for many. And with its heavy reliance on calorie counting, it has led many to struggle to sustain long-term weight loss. In this episode, we will delve into the reasons behind Weight Watchers' failure and explore a more holistic approach that focuses on the real issues deep down and addresses the overall health and well-being rather than just numbers on a scale. "If you've just been listening to your doctors and the social media into the latest plans and fads and you're just trying to follow a blueprint, it's never going to work long-term. You are going to continue dieting for the rest of your life. And if that's okay with you, that's fine. But if you're in a space where you're like, I don't wanna do this anymore and I don't wanna die for the rest of my life and I wanna be able to just have freedom in this area, then we got to undo it. You got to do the foundational work and then you can support yourself and you'll naturally start making empowered choices." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:23 - How you can join the Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss Community 04:19 - Sharing the Weight Watcher Founder's story of her food and weight struggles 11:57 - Weight Watchers and how many weight loss programs can't sustainably put off the weight 15:57 - The underlying reason for weight issues to persist and how you can get over it [and what your thought problem makes you believe] 18:58 - Looking at the vicious cycle of not addressing the real issue 22:35 - What do you want to be remembered for when you die? 25:44 - Getting deep into your subconscious and rewiring old patterns [gaining that power back over food and negative thoughts] 27:36 - The length Leslie had gone to be where she is today [ and how freeing that can truly be] 32:12 - Successful case studies of those joining the program Valuable Resources:

30 Aug 2021 | Ep 81 Lose Weight, Get Fit, Feel Great | 00:15:17
Triggering times are never fun times. Everyone is out and about, and you're there arguing with your own self whether to join the fun or be with your lonesome and evading what other people or what you think other people might think and say of you. The thing is, what only makes us happy is when we've succeeded in staying true to the number of calories that our diets demand of us. Other times it's a constant battle of controlling and restricting that often we give in and finally indulge in food cravings and all, and things go down spiraling. That's when we go down the rabbit hole again, and everything seems to be a mess, and the chaos within comes back at a never-ending pace. Isn't it just too tiring? What would it be like if everything that's bothering you now actually turns out to be a non-issue at all, whatever day, time, and season, it might be? What if you can eat anything you want, yes, all you want -- even all those they say you should avoid and all. What if, finally, you find peace and happiness whether you choose to wear or not the dreaded bikini and not mind anyone else around and letting yourself just be, savoring in all the happy thoughts with your newfound freedom. Hypnosis for permanent weight loss makes that possible. You only have to face your fear and take that action, and you are on your way to a lifetime of transformation. "It's that facing that fear and that commitment to getting out of what's really happening on the other side and that desire for wanting the freedom from food and acceptance of self and body and having peace around food and weight that has to outweigh that desire to have your perfectionist part always be kicking in; we have to find you who you are authentic." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 02:51 - Remembering those not fun times 04:26 - Everything now is a non-issue 08:05 - What it looks like when two parts of you are arguing and what eventually happens 09:44 - We can't stay on a diet forever 12:19 - Stop, study, and observe your patterns and behaviors and then get coaching 13:11 - It takes the willingness to face that fear and that commitment to getting out of what's really happening on the other side 13:40 - Letting go of your schooling and upbringing and thinking 'What works for me' Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

14 Apr 2021 | Ep 54 Invest in Yourself & Permanent Weight Loss and Fitness | 00:36:34
Nothing ever changes unless you change. Hypnosis for permanent weight loss works 100% for you if you work it. It's never easy, and it's never an overnight success, but you can look forward to a lifelong transformation. Every day we face fear -- issues around body image, weight, food, and the mental chaos we experience. They are all there, never letting us be in peace with ourselves. The thing is, if we let this fear take dominance in our lives, nothing good and lasting would ever come out of us. How about doing things differently at this time and make something work for you? Our attitude towards money matters is brought about by experiences we have been through. And our idea of how to face our fears regarding financial matters is worth taking a look the same way we face our body image, weight, and food issues. Our desire to get out of pain should be greater than our fear -- financial matter included. Because once you face your fear, you start to think of it in these terms: 'How can I' instead of 'I can't'. You can have all the therapy you have, but you will never get past those issues that need attention if left on your own devices. With Hypnosis, you are given the tools to help you take care of yourself. Hiring a coach and making a significant amount of financial investment made a lasting impact in my life, the reason why I am here and willing to help people who have been in the same situation I was in before. I know your struggles, and I know what it's like to figure out where to get the money to pay for that mastermind coaching to invest in myself. It's about trusting yourself and trusting the program. Once you get past the fear over your finances, you will see that the money you spend to invest in yourself will find its way back to you multiple times. There is always a way to get over your finances. You just have to act now. Get in touch with us, and let's talk about your path to freedom. You have the choice: You stay in the dark, or you feel the fear and act, anyway, because the universe always has your back. "Your experience of your life and your world doesn't change unless you change unless you do something different unless you learn these tools for how to extract out of your mind, the chaos, the clutter, the things that aren't working." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 02:16 - Creating a new mindset around body, weight, and food 03:24 - 100% certain Hypnosis works if you work it 04:31 - How Hypnosis works with the subconscious mind and changes patterns that cause mental chaos 06:12 - Take dominance over those negative thoughts, or else nothing changes 07:11 - What transformation occurs in your life once you change and do something different for yourself 08:22 - How a lesser experience of life drives us to eat unnecessarily and what you can do about it 10:18 - Financial matters: stepping up to your fear, getting past it, saying how can I instead of I can't 12:30 - Whatever story you have about money is worth taking a look the same way as your story about your body, weight, and food obsessions 15:23 - Your desire to get out of the pain that you're in has to be greater than your fear 17:06 - What clients say about the Hypnosis program that makes it different from the others 18:38 - Have you considered why things aren't working in your life? 22:22 - Part of doing your work means that you need to do the work to get past the financial fears to get yourself in this program 22:59 - What happens when you actually face your fears over finances 26:53 - What investing in a coaching program did to Leslie's transformation 30:23 - Getting a solution to get those crazy thoughts to stop and take that first step for yourself 33:23 - You've got the choice to stay out from the dark and make things happen Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

03 Jan 2022 | Ep 99 Activate Your Voice to Align Your Business And Body | 00:50:48
It has been some time, and you have been hopping from one diet trend to another, and nothing's happening, and you're still as desperate as you have been to chop off those unwanted pounds. If you look at your relationships, family life, and self-image — nothing seems to be in place, and things feel like some aspects of your life are in disarray. You may be successful, careerwise but deep down, a big question lies. You keep comparing yourself with others – their accomplishments and achievements. Even the littlest of imperfections is a big deal to you. How can you be truly free and have that long-lasting peace of mind? In this episode, our guest, Kierra Jones, shares how one should stop that 'pedestal pressure' you have put yourself under. You tire yourself with the stress that comes with it; you also end up getting in despair keeping up with everybody else. The only way for things to get going and flowing is to accept your own truth, getting authentic about yourself. When choosing a diet or health routine for you, just always remember that no 'one-size-fits-all.' Find what works best for you. And choose food that feels good for and helps your body. There is no point rushing things because you bloom and shine in your own time. Be in the moment. What's also important is that you put out there that power message – voicing out what you want for yourself, acting on it, confidently owning your truth, and being comfortable with your authentic self. And the way to help you with that is by having a conversation with yourself, holding space to ask important questions to get to your core and make things happen, emboldening your voice to align with your life and business. Kierra Jones is international visibility and sales mindset and messaging coach, speaker, and Amazon Best Selling author. Her coaching programs courses and speaking help women get the messaging monetization and mindset they need to show up, speak and sell their genius more powerfully, purposefully and profitably. She is deeply passionate about helping women activate their voice and their own value more powerfully to unapologetically create an experience and align life and business. "Literally, voice is how I speak. But it's so much deeper. It comes into play with so many things. It could be food and diet, it could be relationships, whether you're in a career or business because in short, you really are activating your voice and I oftentimes say your power message is actually you declaring what you want." - Kierra Jones What you will learn from this episode: 03:51 - Uncovering that power message inside you 08:15 - Knowing, understanding, and overcoming 'pedestal pressure' 12:56 - Having that conversation with yourself – asking essential questions, realigning, and reconnecting to yourself 21:02 - What that journey looks like of 'owning it for herself' 25:44 - Living a life of legacy 31:37 - What gave her the courage to be unapologetic about the littlest imperfections about herself 36:47 - Watch the habits that you are creating 37:58 - Wanting your best body and best energy – whatever that looks like for you 44:46 - Giving yourself permission to evolve and change for the better Resources: Do you want support in elevating your voice and stepping into your power message to show up and sell more powerfully? 18 Jun 2021 | Ep 70 Taking Responsibility When Losing Weight And Never Looking Back! | 00:18:20
We live in a world of diagnosing and fixing. In a way, it contributes to our mindset that there is always something wrong, that you are the problem. And without us noticing, it gets into our being. And we always work hard to prove to everyone else that nothing’s wrong. This puts us in a situation where it’s hard to go out there and acknowledge to ourselves that we need alignment in our life. It doesn’t necessarily mean we’re bad for the choices we made in life, it’s about looking at the brighter side to make something new of us again. Another thing is passing the blame to people for what happened to us in the past. It was there. It is a matter of accepting that it indeed happened. That there is nothing you can do about it, all you have the power is to make the best of what you can do now. And that is owning full responsibility to turning your life for what could be the best you can imagine it to be. Yes, everything is in your hands. We have full control. Just like our food, body, and weight issues. We can always wallow in pity, in fear. We can always believe the worst in us. But we can also always rise up from that negativity and start the road to inner peace and freedom. Unless you own up to your humanness and take responsibility for something good that you can do for yourself, then you are winning. Creating a new turn in your life for the better takes courage and a leap of faith. There is no one else to take responsibility for you because the only one who gets you stuck to where you are now is You. Yes, You. Don’t just stay on the fence, get on the road now to your life-changing transformation. “Something that a coach of mine said at the time was, trust yourself that you'll know when it's time to actually go. And until then trust that whatever is happening along the way is here to support you and teach you and get you ready for the next part of your path.” - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:15 - What it looked like for Leslie when she felt confronted with the thought of taking responsibility 03:53 - Living in a world of diagnosing and fixing stuff 05:36 - Allowing yourself to be human 09:51 - What it’s like when you take ownership that you are not perfect 11:56 - We can’t control other people, we can only control ourselves 13:35 - When is the best time to let go? 16:55 - Finding the difference between feeling better and doing the deep work for yourself Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

09 Sep 2024 | Ep 262 Meet Stylist Jessica Papineau! | 01:15:31
Have you ever wondered why so many women struggle to find lasting fulfillment, even when they seem to be doing everything right? Despite investing in themselves and their careers, many still feel disconnected, stuck, or afraid to fully embrace their desires. They’ve been conditioned to avoid discomfort, unknowingly holding back from true transformation. The result is a life lived half-heartedly, where joy feels out of reach. Jessica, our guest, understands this struggle all too well. After years of trauma and healing, she discovered that real joy can only be experienced when we lean into temporary pain. By avoiding these difficult emotions, women miss the opportunity for growth and empowerment. The fear of discomfort keeps them from realizing their full potential, both personally and professionally. The key to unlocking lasting transformation lies in embracing vulnerability, confronting limiting beliefs, and allowing pain to flow through. Jessica shares how this courageous process allowed her to achieve new heights in her business and life. Today, she’s on a mission to help other women experience the same transformation by creating a safe space for connection, growth, and expansion. Jessica Papineau has spent 25 years in the fashion industry, teaching women how to use fashion to serve their purpose, boost their confidence, and elevate their image. She emphasizes that facing discomfort head-on helps overcome self-limiting beliefs and fosters growth. By embracing her fears she discovered the power and confidence to perform at her best. "The woman that says I'm gonna do it when..., they don't take the action first. So then what happens is nothing changes. And then when they do end up making the change, they make the change because they were literally brought to their knees. But what about when your restrictive power loses its grip? That's where you come back spiraling down. When it comes to weight loss, much of your result comes from the mind. When you rely on a treatment that only fixes the physical aspect of weight loss and neglects the mind, that's not long-lasting. There's the mental and emotional aspect you need to look into. Once you take these into consideration then you are in for a sustainable weight loss. And that's where Hypnosis for permanent weight loss comes in. With it you get the tools for emotional and self-mastery. It helps individuals rewire their subconscious beliefs and behaviors surrounding food and body image. That's what you need to have that empowered choice around food where you no longer judge it for being good or bad. 29 Jan 2024 | Ep 230 Mindful Eating is BS! | 00:36:47
When you're rooted in a diet mentality, the concept of mindful eating may seem like an unattainable goal. It's like trying to build a house without laying a solid foundation first. Before embracing mindful eating practices, it's essential to confront the underlying emotional complexities surrounding food. Simply instructing oneself to eat mindfully without addressing the deep-seated issues driving food obsession is like treating symptoms without diagnosing the root cause of the ailment. Emotions fuel overeating and uncontrollable binges, creating a cycle that mere mindfulness alone can't break. True transformation begins with delving into the emotional landscape surrounding food and uncovering the triggers that lead to unhealthy eating habits. This journey towards emotional mastery lays the groundwork for sustainable change and opens the door to the possibility of mindful eating. Rather than striving for immediate adoption of mindful eating techniques, the initial focus should be on the understanding of what lies beneath the problem. Hypnosis can be a powerful tool in this process, helping individuals unearth and ultimately overcome the emotional barriers that hinder their relationship with food. Perhaps, what needs to be done first is, take a step back and heal what's beneath the surface, paving the way for a life of peace and freedom. "Judging yourself, being angry at yourself, hating yourself, telling yourself you should be, do, act different, better now or else... It just does not work. What does work is when we drop the judgment and get very curious." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 00:03 - What it's like to be in a space of controlled eating and how to get to a state of being at peace about yourself and around food 07:15 - What DOES NOT work and what DOES WORK 11:45 - Leslie's process of helping clients which makes the transformation sustainable 18:41 - No mindful eating if you're in this state with your relationship with food [with case studies to prove the point] 20:40 - Reasons why you can't follow those diet plans anymore and what it is telling you 29:19 - Leslie's proven program to help you get out of food prison [which she herself went through and got out of with this program] 32:39 - Rewiring the brain: Awareness and actions comes freedom 34:31 - What your first step is in finding the freedom that you've always wanted and what you need a coach for Valuable Resources:

13 Feb 2023 | Ep 175 Abundance for Permanent Weight Loss 2023 | 00:23:50
Are you struggling to permanently lose weight and keep it off? You’re certainly not alone. Many people have tried to lose weight, only to find their efforts fleeting, or even worse, they gain back the weight they’ve lost. But there is hope. By focusing on an abundance mindset and using hypnosis, you can tap into powerful resources that can create a lasting change. Having the belief that you can have whatever you want in life is far reaching. It goes beyond just being happy with what you have and being grateful for it. It means believing that you can get whatever it is that you want if you put in the effort to make it happen. It leads to a greater sense of motivation and determination, because it's what you want, and it's you saying yes to yourself and to your happiness. Hypnosis is a powerful tool for helping you to create lasting changes in your life. You can more easily access your inner resources and make changes on a deeper level. You can become more aware of your thoughts and beliefs, and most importantly develop that emotional mastery to quiet down those mental negative talks. That way you avoid numbing anything with food cravings and be on your way to creating the life you truly want for yourself. With an abundance mindset and hypnosis, you can create a life of permanent weight loss, having the motivation and determination to make the changes necessary to make a lasting difference. It may take hard work, but it's all worth the joy and freedom in your life. "What we find is that if we focus on the negative, then it increases stress and anxiety, and then it increases cravings to numb away the stress and anxiety and then we just get stuck. Our job together is to actually interrupt that pattern and not have the brain focus on fear and scarcity and actually step into and say yes to what you want." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 03:30 - Stepping into your personal power as individual 06:24 - It's more about what my soul wants and not what my beliefs dictate 09:14 - What increases anxiety and stress that you never aware of 12:24 - Difference between being at cause and being at the effect of [and symptoms of behaviors and actions that are not in alignment with your authentic self] 17:05 - Saying YES to what you want and not live in a one day-someday mindset 19:11 - Crafting your weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals in alignment with what you want 23:02 - Letting hard things to happen and working on your subconscious to be where you should be Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:
17 Jan 2022 | Ep 101 Inconsistency With Your Diet is Sabotaging Your Weight Loss | 00:14:42
Sure, you are super successful – in your career and professional life. But have you looked within and tried asking why you can't keep yourself together? Why can you not completely deal with your weight and body issues when it comes to food? Our subconscious mind laid out for us early on in life what we've learned to believe all along and in like manner, whatever trauma, hurts, and pain we felt early on in childhood, we tend to keep them buried. And unconsciously, we tend to numb it away with food, alcohol, and what have you. Another thing is, just when you think everything's all good, there you are, all stressed and seeing things spiraling down and messing up all over again with your life. Sometimes, you wake up and are all ready with the resolve to get consistent with your diet plan, but, unknowingly you find yourself binging and dipping fast into your bag of chips. There, again, your willpower is in vain. We've seen many successful public figures and famous people drown themselves in drugs in their quest for success. We've often set aside that part of our body that calls for much-needed attention. Maybe you're afraid to face that scary side of yourself? Maybe you're scared to ask for help and be heard? Maybe for lack of space for which you feel safe unloading your vulnerabilities? How about this time you take action, finally confront that which you've been trying to avoid, trust the process of the healing journey, and set yourself free? Why not avail of this tool we call Hypnosis to help you quickly communicate with the noisy part of your brain and let it settle down instead of going through that everyday struggle of control and restrictions? Emotional mastery is the way to go over self-sabotage. "A sustainable way to be successful is that you also learn how to healthily manage those stressors and those feelings along the way, while you're still going after your goals in a super powerful way." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:06- What self-sabotage looks like 04:07 - A helpful tool to quiet part of your unconscious mind and get you aligned with your goal 05:33 - How your unconscious mind is making you feel safe and makes you numb away that pain 07:24 - Common reasons for self-sabotage 09:21 - Going past self-sabotage 09:54 - HIghly successful but broken inside Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

26 Jul 2021 | Ep 76 Healing The Inner Child: Getting Healthy, Diet and Fitness Tips | 00:27:02
What your emotional world looks like and how you respond to it can be framed as part of your inner child acting out. What influences this pattern of behavior goes back from zero to ten years of when we were born. What happens during those times are deeply embedded in the subconscious, and when triggers appear, that's when it surfaces, usually in the latter part of life. At some point in our childhood, we have been subjected to some trauma, including rejection, abandonment, betrayal, and injustice. All these show symptoms at one point or another. For the most part, though, we don't admit it contributes to our obsession with food one way or another. Whatever we truly need in our life, instead of finding the right cure for it, we try to numb it with food. Hence, our constant struggle with body weight and body image. And what's even sadder is we refuse to acknowledge that scary part that could have been the first step to a lifetime of freedom. The good thing with the Hypnosis program is the awareness of these behavioral patterns that come out every time these traumas are stirred up. This time you don't deal with it just like you let it under the rug. The good thing is, you have the tools ready to face it and deal with it the best way. It's like you don't have to deal with diets anymore. Your life becomes way more than just about food. You don't obsess about it anymore. There are far more beautiful things you can set your mind on other than food. And what's more good about it is, you don't get scared around food. Because that's when you can trust yourself, and that inner child within you is assured of a safe place where she can stay peacefully. Isn't that liberating? Come and take that first step now and on to your journey of a lifetime of transformation. "It's not to say that there's any perfect day or utopia; it's always a work in progress. But if you don't have some support in those areas, then the first place you're going to continue to turn to in those stressful moments or feel out of control is food. While the path of health and wellbeing is a never-ending journey, it starts, and it begins and ends within, you going on that journey with it." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 00:10 - Inner child work - what is that? 02:58 - Coaching a client on how to respond differently when negative emotion is triggered 05:44 - Something helpful when it came to the 'inner child' thing 06:38 - What is less important, and what does really matter to you? 07:31 - Four types of trauma, the symptoms, and what you can do to overcome them 12:13 - The reason why we have panic and anxiety around food 13:53 - What you need to know about the path to wellbeing 16:04 - There has to be another answer to this weight loss thing other than just dieting and exercising 17:00 - A life way more than food now 18:37 - What makes the Hypnosis program unique 19:54 - Hypnosis program is not a weight-loss plan; it's more than that 21:25 - Why you don't have to look anywhere else Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

Why do repeated IVF cycles and other interventions often fail, leaving couples emotionally and financially drained? Is it possible that addressing root causes could lead to better results? The emotional toll of infertility can be devastating—endless doctor visits, invasive procedures, and shattered hope with every negative test. Many couples find themselves stuck in a cycle of treatment that doesn’t address the deeper issues impacting their fertility. Through her "It Takes Two" program, she helps couples uncover the root causes of infertility by addressing obstacles to healing in mind, body, and spirit. 21 Feb 2022 | Ep 106 A Dancers Body Image Disordered Eating | 00:50:55
Have you noticed seeing yourself as a failure when others see you as this great person? That's where the problem starts, pushing us to subscribe to a diet mentality. Either we restrict ourselves or soothe our insecurities with food in excess. It helps when we develop self-awareness and tap into the tools that will help us redirect our thoughts and energies into something valuable and intentional for our wellbeing. Layne Bruner, the founder of Wellthy Soul, uses her positive energy and authenticity to inspire, motivate, and teach others how to create incredible lives full of health and joy, forever. After 20+ years of dancing and performing in college and professionally, Layne battled against insecurity and self-doubt coupled with disordered eating. In this episode, Layne shares how she came into awareness of her body image issues that prevented her from fully embracing the uniqueness and the potential to live a full life. She was exposed to the reality at an early age that sometimes people make you find your value with what others want you to be and what society and the industry demand that you become. When what really matters is finding alignment within and your true purpose in life and the impact you have on others, not necessarily about physical appearance alone, that's where she found herself in a mess for a time. She shares her journey of a lost child and person trying to fit in but couldn't make sense of it. And today, she's become fearless to live a well-meaning life and create a strong positive impact on others. She brings back a healthy self-image not dictated by anyone but by one's genuine desire to live a life in freedom and authentic happiness. "When you are more mindfully living, all the way through your body, from ground to ceiling, toes to toes to the crown of your head; when you're really being self-aware, then you can identify when you're triggered – to soothe with food versus when you're just at a birthday party having a birthday celebration. And you can recognize both of those environments in the situations and then be able to make conscious decisions on whether I'm going to have a champagne toast, or if I'm just going to continue to celebrate with water, and that's okay." - Layne Bruner What you will learn from this episode: 02:59 - What it looks like for her experiencing body image issues at an early age 05:36 - Scarred from birth 06:30 - Dancing professionally but at her worst 11:28 - Using food as a source of control 13:21 - Realizing the reason for her undereating 14:14 - When does she feel out of control of herself 14:59 - Looking at her appearance from her own eyes 15:59 - Self-awareness and what it can do to you 16:45 - Tools that help her manage her feelings of low self-worth and stress 17:37 - Talking about her soul walk and workout - how those two serve their purpose 19:42 - Practicing morning mindset 24:36 - Seeking professional help and the best thing about having an accountability partner 28:53 - Exchange of positive energy and how it helps her deal with negativity 33:31 - Developing and modeling an approach towards handling obesity and weight issues that are less damaging to children 38:53 - The way to getting massive positive results for her clients 39:54 - Sharing that panic attack and what that experience taught her about her life's purpose 48:11 - How her soul work and mindset work help her live a life of no fear Connect with Layne Bruner: Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

Losing weight can be a frustrating and discouraging journey. We all want to see results and see them quickly. However, the truth is that weight loss is a process that takes time, effort, and patience. It's important to trust the process and stay committed to your goals, even when progress seems slow. One of the keys to successfully losing weight is getting the right support. Have you wanted to do away with all the binging and stress eating? You are not alone. Come and let's find out! Our guest for this episode, Yvonne, a Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss program graduate, shares her story of a rollercoaster ride with her body weight issues. She could still remember the thinnest she had ever been in life and how thrilled she was knowing and being in it. But things started changing when different seasons in life started coming, and her values were no longer what they were. And the more she became obsessed, so to speak, with losing weight, dieting, exercising - everything started messing up, and she's not keeping up with the ideal weight she always wanted. Not until she started listening to Leslie's podcast and eventually becoming a part of the Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss program did she see things turning around for the best. Talk about binge-eating and excessive eating; she, too, can't believe that's no longer the case these days. Panicking when around food and in a social circle? That's already in her past. Getting empowered and eating whatever and whenever she wants? That's more the scenario now, without fear of what others think and more of what makes her feel happier and better. Most importantly, it's about seeing herself as beautiful as ever, and having that awesome feeling radiate through unknowingly and making other people notice that too. "I was sharing something I don't share with people. It's just very scary for me to share, but I got to share it. And I did the ugly crying on camera. And they were there; they supported me through it. They didn't make me feel like what I was feeling was wrong, or I should be ashamed of it. And that, I think, was really the biggest turning point for me in the program. Because after that everything just expanded." - Yvonne What you will learn from this episode: 01:19 - How was her body weight, life before Hypnosis, and what her professional background is 02:05 - Sharing her journey to getting at her thinnest ever years back 05:10 - What it looks like when your values aren't aligned with what you are thinking 08:06 - The most essential takeaway she got from listening to Leslie's podcast 09:47 - That feeling of being heard deeply and specially cared for 11:42 - Her biggest turning point in the Hypnosis program 16:41 - How opportunities started opening up after that 'ugly cry' 19:47 - Starting to see a beautiful woman in herself staring at her now 22:31 - Achieving that freedom around food and a whole different way of looking at her bodyweight issues 27:31 - Stopping binging and stress-eating 29:22 - It's not going to be perfect, but something huge is happening 30:27 - Gaining confidence and reminding her of who she truly is 32:42 - Her inspiring words to those who want transformation in their life now Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

09 Feb 2023 | Ep 174 Break Free from Food Obsession and Unlock a World of Fun and Healing! | 00:54:51
When it comes to food obsession, anxiety about image, weight, and body issues, it's easy to think that the problem is on the surface. We might assume that someone just needs to change their eating habits, or that they should just try to be more positive about their body. But the reality is that these issues are often a symptom of a deeper problem. At the root of food obsession and body image issues is an unmet need for love and acceptance. People who struggle with food obsession and body image issues often feel inadequate or not good enough. They may feel ashamed, embarrassed, or unworthy of love, acceptance, and belonging. This can lead to a cycle of self-loathing and obsessive thoughts about food and body. The good news is that these issues can be addressed and healed. One of the best ways to start is to recognize that there is a need for love, acceptance, and belonging that has gone unmet. This can help to shift the focus away from food, body image, and weight, and onto the underlying need for love and acceptance. From there, it will be important to develop an understanding of self-compassion and self-care. Learning to be kind to yourself, to give yourself permission to take care of your needs, and to practice self-care can be incredibly helpful in overcoming food obsession, body image issues, and weight-related problems. Finally, it is important to reach out for support. Talking to a coach or mentor who can help give a better understanding of the underlying issues, and can provide a safe space to talk through any difficulties. Jarrod Bruce Lee helps gay professionals look good naked, and build real confidence in their personal and professional lives. In this episode, let's explore Jarrod's journey from his struggles with food, weight, and body issues to his current state of awareness and healing, as well as his lifelong transformation. "I think a lot of people coming to me go, 'I just want the workout plan, I just want the diet plan. And that's going to solve everything.' Well, we need to do the mindset, we need to do the emotional work, because without that, you can do what you want, nothing's going to shift, if you don't actually bring awareness to what is truly going on." - Jarrod Bruce Lee What you will learn from this episode: 03:25 - Getting long-term clients 03:57 - His transformation story from dealing with peer pressure, sexuality, weight and body issues and to what his life looks now 07:39 - Remembering that worst time in his life battling body and weight issues 13:51 - What it was like feeling lonely that nobody understands you and all you can think of is food obsession 15:24 - Getting over his food obsession: Keep the fun in your eating routine and getting into deep work within 20:26 - How joy is crucial in being consistent at what you do 22:38 - There is power in complete love and acceptance of who you really are 23:11 - Jarrod's spiritual awakening 35:43 - Owning his life this time and being unafraid to be who he really is: Action steps he did to go down that path 47:42 - New frontiers to face and growth to experience 51:31 - Paying attention to the mindset stuff and the awareness of yourself Connect with Jarrod Bruce Lee:

14 Oct 2020 | Ep 28 Healing From A Childhood of Sex Trafficking With Jeweliet Tangen and Optimal Health Through Hypnosis. | 00:56:50
How do you rise when you’re stripped of that one fundamental right accorded every human being, your dignity as a person? How can you even bring yourself to forget the thought of the gory, terror, and hellish state you went through in the hands of perverts whose existence everyone wishes to perish in a snuff? Anyone who has been subjected to such a traumatic predicament has a hard time making sense of the situation. How can you not when all those harrowing memories are etched in the depths of your subconsciousness? A deep healing has to take place. For this to materialize you need to go past the challenges that come with it. Say yes to a commitment of embarking on a journey of freedom from what’s holding you back to live up to your best self fully. Jeweliet Tangen grew up in a form of sex slavery until she was 6 years old. She was abused, raped, and tortured almost daily- until her adoptive mother, Cheryl rescued her. After suddenly losing her mom, Jeweliet dedicated herself to entrepreneurship, knowing all along that it was leading to starting this charity. In this episode, find out how she became a millionaire by the age of twenty and help put up a charity. To us, that is one brilliant achievement for such a young lady of her generation. But before that, perfect-worthy-to-emulate-achievement life was once a very delicate child made to undergo the most heart-wrenching life experience you could ever imagine. Her life story was one of deeply ingrained trauma of sexual abuse in the most sordid sense. The story didn’t just end there, as she got adopted. For the time being, she felt the love a child could ever ask for a single mother who brought her best interest at heart until she passed away not many years later after she got her. She was made to change homes for as long as she can remember. These experiences don’t help her fully grasp the good life that she has adjusted to earlier. The only choice she had was to live on her own and embrace the full independence of living alone at the age of sixteen. That’s when she tried to earn her keep until that fateful day she met a company that helped her to become what she is today. Her life story is a deeply ingrained trauma that keeps resurfacing in some aspects of her life. She has to contend with that body image, relationships that aren’t nurturing, a false sense of self-worth, to add to it. The reason why she goes into all sorts of therapy to get through all those. That’s one best thing about her, acknowledging the need to have someone else help her sort things within. She used to be not comfortable talking about her story before, but this time she’s learned to speak up and made to resonate with everyone, especially those who share the same experience as hers. Though there is so much mind work that has to happen to get her out of that past trauma fully, what is one thing that keeps her finding joy in life is surrounding herself with people who brings positive vibes despite themselves. And not to forget the charity that she helps build to help children in the same situation as she was before, the We Rescue Kids. With the seemingly impossible task of getting past the shadows of her past, she’s proved to one and all that you can beat the odds. “Everyone needs to realize that, what happens to you is not always a choice, but how it affects you is 100% a choice.” - Jeweliet Tangen Topics Covered: 04:26 - A backstory of Jeweliet’s traumatic childhood 12:26 - Reaching her million-dollar goal by the age of twenty 15:49 - What ‘We Rescue Kids’ is all about - their mission 17:41 - Goal of opening safe homes by the end of 2020 18:51 - Sex trafficking being a massive issue even in a first world country 20:10 - What helped her the most in getting out of her childhood trauma 29:06 - Every trauma, big or small, is worth fixing 34:21 - Struggles in dealing with her body issues and how she overcame it 42:55 - Tips for a confidence booster 46:59 - Being responsible for 48:33 - Realizing her false sense of self-worth and doing something about it 52:20 - The need to be your authentic self Connect With Jeweliet Tangen: Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

06 May 2020 | Ep 05 Permanent Weight Loss and Alcohol | 00:21:39
The fact is that when you drink too much alcohol you will lose your inhibition. This then contributes to a diet mentality wherein you are not able to stick to whatever food plan you have in place. When we associate permanent weight loss to alcohol we have to take into account the subconscious reasons why we can’t say no to what is being offered to us. One thing to note is that our attachment to things is too strong. We make decisions based on emotions so that the moment something is offered to us, we immediately say yes to it. We only deal with the result of our actions when we experience the aftermath of, in this case, drinking alcohol the next day. Another thing is the fact that we take negative connotations towards certain foods that, to our mind, always make us fat if we eat them. If only we take out all this morality we attach to food or alcohol, that it is good or bad, right or wrong, then we will allow ourselves to have that unconditional permission to have what we truly want without feeling guilty over it. Because it is in this light that we allow mindfulness to take over our actions. And when this happens, we can break stuff down, we slow down and we make an empowered choice on things that will only bring us good. And that's when we truly understand things, not from a place of fear rather from a place of inner peace and freedom. And this is where hypnosis plays a part in fully making things happen. “The idea is not to have you never do that thing ever again. The idea is to get rid of that attachment.” - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode:

10 Jun 2024 | Ep 249 Personal Trainers and Nutritionists VS Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss | 00:32:55
Are you tired of the short-term results from personal trainers and nutritionists? Do you find yourself sliding back into old habits despite rigorous workout routines and carefully planned diets? The problem isn't with your effort or commitment; it's that traditional approaches often focus solely on external changes without addressing the internal struggles that drive your behaviors. Imagine spending hours at the gym and meticulously counting calories, only to be derailed by emotional triggers that lead to overeating or unhealthy food choices. It's frustrating and disheartening, leaving you feeling like a failure, stuck in a cycle that seems impossible to break. These external solutions, while beneficial, don't equip you with the tools to manage the emotional and psychological aspects of your relationship with food. This is where Hypnosis and emotional mastery come in as game-changers. Unlike traditional methods, the Hypnosis program dives deep into the root causes of your eating habits. By addressing emotional triggers and developing a strong, resilient mindset, you'll achieve lasting freedom from food-related stress and guilt. This holistic approach not only transforms your eating behaviors but also enhances your overall emotional well-being, leading to sustainable, life-long results. Today, we'll be exploring the differences between Hypnosis for permanent weight loss and more conventional approaches like hiring a personal trainer or nutritionist. Inspired by insights shared by a client who recently completed her eight-week Hypnosis program, we'll uncover why Hypnosis isn't just about shedding pounds but also about transforming your relationship with food, body, and self. Let's explore a new path to lasting change and emotional mastery. "If you're someone who feels guilty, shameful, upset, fearful around any topic, food, body and weight, going to the doctor and stepping on the scale-- any of that. If any of that emotionally upsets you, then using a nutritionist or a personal trainer will help you get the results short term. It will not get you to live a life in full color." - Leslie Thornton What you'll learn from this episode: 01:01 - highlighting a client experience on the differences between hiring a fitness coach, personal trainer, nutritionist, and using hypnosis for weight loss 04:13 - Hypnosis' weight loss approach on internal changes and self-empowerment versus rigid diet and exercise regimen 08:13 - A client testimonial of emotional resilience of making healthier choices without guilt or shame. 12:40 What makes you successful in the Hypnosis program 19:27 - How emotional mastery helps you stay consistent in your journey 22:38 - Important insight on why some clients don't feel that Hypnosis is working 25:59 - What growth means with Hypnosis for permanent weight loss 28:27 - Take action and take risk Valuable Resources:

30 Apr 2020 | Ep 03 Body Hatred and Acceptance Through Hypnosis and Permanent Weight Loss | 00:13:38
Body image is one big concern that is all over the place these days. It doesn’t help that social media is feeding us all this standard of a healthy and sexy body. And for us who can’t keep up with what society dictates, we harbor displeasure over our body further pushing us down into the pit of unhappiness and anxiety. All we think of is ourselves and what we think other people think about us. We fear the thought of what might be even if it is just imagined and not holding a bit of reality. Fear thoughts surround us and scarcity mentality overpowers us. Yes, when you have body hatred, your mind is clouded with all these negativity and prevents you from celebrating who you truly are. For as long as you implement great healthy habits everyday and feed your body with what is nutritionally essential, that is one good reason to be elated about. Who is to say that it is not the perfect body size for you? You don’t have to go on a strict diet that when you fail at it, unhappiness consumes you. Thus, making people around you unhappy, too. Why be so hard at yourself when you have the choice to channel your energy on the more important things in life? Look at it this way, maybe you have the body that you are having now because it is specially meant to carry the purpose for which you are meant to do. And we have to remember that when we die and someone looks at us inside the casket, they won’t say, ’ oh wow she always has that sexy body’. Instead, they would remember us for how fantastic we made them feel and how much difference we make in other people’s lives. It’s all about changing perspective. A mindset shift always does the trick. “Body image is one of the hardest and slowest mindsets to recreate but with constant effort and due diligence, I would say that it's 100% possible.” - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode:

05 Dec 2022 | Ep 156 Controller, Perfectionist, Indulger: Parts That Block Your Weight Loss | 00:20:55
If there is one thing that makes one not get successful at weight loss is because of the blockages that we unconsciously put in the way. When we're on a diet mentality, these two things are huge, control and perfectionism, whether we notice it or not. The moment we let these two run us, it never stops there. Our indulgent and procrastinating parts come in to push us even more into the depths of food obsession. And that is never fun, and there is no way of healing. In the Hypnosis program, we've incorporated something that's very life changing. It's about dealing with all those blockages we call parts of ourselves that closes the way of genuinely transforming us into empowered individuals. Someone not scared to be around food and eating way more than one should. And whatever triggers come one's way, there's a tool that you know how to handle those emotions even after the program ends. Because that's where it matters the most, learning how to use the tools yourself without just being codependent on the program. If you want to know how to identify those parts of you that need quieting, join us now as we do the demo for you -- talking and listening to that part of you that needs understanding, caring, and loving so you get back to a consistent alignment to yourself. "My intention for all my clients at hypnosis for permanent weight loss is that they feel confident to know how to handle their big bad emotions. Why? Because the one thing that drives me nuts is when programs work while you're in them. And then, after you're done, you're like a fish out of water because you're just codependent on the program. And you don't feel empowered to use this stuff alone. So we train our clients in the emotional mastery tools and make sure that they feel confident in using them before graduation." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode:

04 Jun 2021 | Ep 66 A Healthy Conversation with Your Inner "Food" Dialogue while Hitting your Fitness Goals | 00:20:11
Why can you not lose weight until now and after grabbing every diet plan you can get out there? What has been going on in your mind all along? What do those inner voices tell you? Early on in life, each of us is made to believe what social media, our friends, and even our family have fed our thoughts with that we take them as something that truly matters. And that contributed much to our beliefs and feelings that have dragged us down way lower into despair. We listen to everything that everyone on every side is saying. We put labels on the food that we eat as good or bad, and they are not. Our minds only create those thoughts. We are pressured to look good because it's the standard society tries to make us believe. That peer pressure is there; that feeling of trying to fit in is so intense that you just fail even how hard you try to control everything about food. And that's where you blame yourself for being a failure, and that creates a cycle of an off-on relationship with your weight loss. That's creating pressure on you for wanting to be perfect all the time, and when things do not go as expected, everything falls off again. And you get angry at yourself for not living up to everyone's expectations. That is where you are not getting it right. That internal warzone in your head continues to be there up until we don't look further beyond food and those beliefs that make us stuck to where we are still in our life at this time. How about listening to your own voice this time and what you really want for yourself? What about facing your fear this time, whatever that is? For all you know, your struggle is not so much about food; it just seems to be. Look at other areas of your life that need your attention, and you are scared to face them. How about getting to love and accept yourself and your body this time. You may not realize it, but that's what it needs for the longest time. Why not talk to yourself gently, patiently, and allow it to be imperfect as it does at times. Why not look deep into your subconscious this time, and let it be rewired in repetition and emotional mastery? This is what Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss does -- talking to your inner child to have that lasting inner peace and freedom you deserve even amidst imperfections. Being with a bunch of beautiful people who talk more than just about fitting into their bathing suits and more about intimate and deeper life conversations and situations that truly matter. If you are ready for that, we are just here, prepared to journey with you on to your path to lasting and true happiness. "Ain't nobody coming. You're the one that has to come for you. You're in charge of making your days the way that you want to feel. You're in charge of taking your relationship with your food, body, and weight into your own hands." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:20 - Listen to the voice in your head 02:29 - Self-sabotage 03:35 - It's not your fault, and you have been hypnotized 05:14 - You are so much greater than your beliefs about body and weight 06:33 - What about your voice, and what do you really want? 10:37 - What difference would that make if you change that inner voice around? 14:28 - What could happen when you decide that you do want something more than that internal battle? 15:16 - Think of all the amazing possibilities that can happen to you 16:28 - Let your subconscious be rewired 17:15 - You're in charge! 17:47 - What these beautiful women say about their life now being in Hypnosis program Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

16 Aug 2022 | Ep 131 Neurolinguistic Programming Hypnosis With The Mind Guy | 00:43:47
Life can sometimes be chaotic. With so many voices running in our minds, we don't know what to believe, and often we think of that which abuses our relationship with ourselves, making us feel unworthy of ourselves. That also means protecting ourselves from getting hurt by doing things that keep us safe but erode our confidence and self-worth in the process. And this process goes on for years without us knowing and understanding why we do what we do and what makes us the way we are And the most painful part is that we often blame ourselves for all that's happening. And that even with how much willpower we have, we cannot get off from our present predicament to what we truly want for ourselves. That's why we must understand and be aware of ourselves so we can fully get away from the past trauma that gets us stuck in suffering. And NLP tools and Hypnosis help us do these things, accessing the subconscious mind and repatterning it to have a new leash on life and change in behaviors. Meet Tomas Suski, our guest for today's episode, an Engineer of the Mind who helps entrepreneurs break through their own personal limitations. In this episode, Thomas shares how the NLP tools and Hypnosis helped him better understand himself, bringing a massive and life-changing transformation into his being. And he is just so excited to share this significant change and achievement brought about by the NLP and Hypnosis tools that got him out of that survival mindset and going towards what you truly desire. Find out how some of these helpful tools for emotional mastery brought about something he never thought would be possible in his life - a secret that the universe has, he says, that should be out and shared with people to help them get empowered. "I was trying to use willpower and never getting where I wanted to go. And then I realized that there's this deeper component that does all the work. And if you know how to access the subconscious mind, you can make all the changes you could ever imagine. And that's exactly what happened." - Thomas Suski What you will learn from this episode: 03:37 - Believing in Hypnosis and helping enrollees into the program 04:50 - Getting into Neuro Linguistics Programming and his life-changing experience with Hypnosis 12:23 - Privileged and blessed to receive the secrets of the universe and now sharing it 16:28 - What you should know about willpower and how NLP is the tool that brings you from point A to point B 23:56 - Relating his NLP [neuro linguistics programming] experience and the life-changing transformation it has done in his life 28:23 - Understanding the amount of information that goes into the unconscious mind and the tiny number that we can only perceive 30:18 - One NLP tool that has done the most impact in his life 39:22 - Understanding the values work NLP tool and how it can help change your life [survival mode versus going towards pleasure] Connect with Thomas Suski: themindguy.net Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

29 Jul 2020 | Ep 17 Family Boundaries and Optimal Health Through Hypnosis | 00:12:02
Family, indeed, is one element that is impacting our self-worth. Without even realizing it, sometimes a family member says things to another’s detriment. It is not surprising that one listener’s dilemma is about facing again her family after some time. The judgment, the unsavory remarks - just imagine all that, especially where body weight is concerned. It helps when you don’t take things personally, and just think that some family members are just that. And being the ‘educated’ one who knows how to control what you say and think, there are ways to set your boundaries. Have someone support you; communicate in advance and let them know that you are going through tough times and ask them to avoid topics that would push the wrong button. If you are at some gathering and out of nowhere someone’s nitpicking at your weight gain, tell them you understand their concern about your health and you are taking care of yourself. And then politely ask them to shun the topic. There is this other way where you practice all of what was mentioned to get it all out at once even before it is happening. That is, imagining before going to a party what everyone’s likely to say and practicing your answer to all of what they would comment at you. This way you already face your fears and there’s no way anymore to scare you once you face them in person. This is part of doing Hypnosis, facing the scariest thing you can imagine, getting down to it, and finally moving about with ease and freedom around what you are dreading about the most. Communicating your needs, your wants, and boundaries eloquently just helps for a natural flow of energy and support to come about. And Hypnosis helps you lead this path. “We can not control what anybody else is thinking or saying, we can only control what we think or what we say.” - Leslie Thornton Topics Covered:

That is indeed so good to the desire for yourself. Who wouldn't want that? But more than losing weight and getting that skinny body you want for yourself, it's about getting that right mindset on how to deal with body image and weight issues. It's about healing that part of yourself that reacts to triggers that, if when hit wrongly, will have you spiraling downward again and losing control of all that you've resolved to do. More importantly, it's about doing away entirely with all that diet mentality we were made to believe worked but only made us feel worse about ourselves the moment we fall off track of it. Think about this -- getting uncomfortable, feeling all the emotions, feeling all the pain, excavating into the deep recesses of your being and bringing it to the surface, and laying things all out for you to deal with once and for all. That way, you get emotional mastery of whatever comes your way and, in the process, lose weight without you knowing it, and food is no longer what you are obsessing about. Ready for that? Come and let's hop on the journey of a lifetime of peace and freedom. "Everyone who comes to this program really wants to lose weight. But they have the awareness, and they have the understanding that it is about way more than the weight that's holding them back. They're aware that it's their mindset, they're aware, you're aware that you've been struggling with this for your entire life. You're also aware that you feel like you can't do it again, that at this point in your life, you can't do another diet again, and you're scared to death that it's all going to come back." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:18 - Quick announcement 04:59 - How weight loss can happen with ease and grace 07:55 - Who this program is for 13:45 - What you need to understand about this permanent weight loss 15:45 - How to force yourself to make time for yourself and really show up 19:16 - The many things we do to face the challenges of the times, but that is not getting deep into the real issue 21:01 - Getting that relaxed, peaceful, and meaningful conversation with everyone 24:35 - How to be present and enjoy every moment of where you're at without obsessing about food 27:19 - Feeling the pain and all the emotions and getting done with it and being free Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

Frustrated at not being consistent with your diet plan? Are you still in that hamster wheel cycle of losing now and gaining weight later? Does it seem like an endless struggle for you? That's probably because the more you're attached to something, the more you get disappointed every time you fail. In this episode, Tina, an HPWL graduate, shares her experience of being so obsessed with her body weight issues that things magnify her struggles. She ends up frustrated, even with how hard she tried losing weight. But when she found out about Hypnosis, that's when things started transforming. For her, this is what freedom looks like -- choosing what is good for you because that is how your body feels about it. It's not about how bad or good the food is. It's making a decision based on what you want and what your body feels it wants and needs. It's about confidence in knowing you are better, even with or without it. "Just stop the craziness. It's so freeing and accessible to people that if you want to make the change, you can, and you just have to believe in the process, believe in the program, and find the means to do it. And, get out of that hamster wheel cycle, that diet mentality." - Tina VanDerwerker What you will learn from this episode: 03:13 - Looking at her past weight issues and what led her to consider Hypnosis 06:01 - Sharing the experiences of how it was like going through a difficult cycle of weight gain and weight loss 09:01 - One particular session in the program that stood out for her 10:49 - It wasn't about the food; it was all about friendship and listening to your body 13:33 - Owning her love for her favorite soft ice cream and never feeling guilty about it 17:31 - What it looks like to have the freedom to choose to eat or not to eat anything you want 22:04 - Choosing things that are better for you because of how it makes you feel and not out of fear of anything 25:50 - How it's freeing to be the person who enjoys life and not be so attached to that 'diet' thing 26:53 - An important piece she took from the Hypnosis program Connect with Tina VanDerwerker: Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

27 May 2024 | Ep 247 How to Manage Stress About Your Weight Over the Holiday | 00:15:44
Are you exhausted by the never ending cycle of dieting, weight loss, weight gain, and the constant stress about food and your body? Does the pressure to stick to strict diets, the guilt of missing workouts, and the anxiety of weight fluctuations consume your daily thoughts? This mental and emotional turmoil can feel endless and maddening, leaving you feeling like a failure when you can’t keep up with unrealistic expectations. Imagine holidays and vacations where instead of enjoying yourself, you are plagued by the fear of overindulging and the dread of seeing the scale go up. After a weekend of social gatherings and parties, the panic sets in on how you will get back on track. The self-criticism and guilt can be overwhelming, creating a negative spiral that affects your overall well-being. This struggle is not just about food or weight—it’s about the mental and emotional patterns that drive your behaviors. But you can break free from this cycle. You don’t have to live with this constant stress and self-criticism. There is a way to achieve peace with food and your body, and it starts with addressing the root of the problem: your mindset. Hypnosis offers a powerful solution to this issue. It goes beyond the surface-level tactics of dieting and exercise to address the deep-seated mental and emotional patterns that fuel your struggles with food and weight. By reprogramming your subconscious mind, hypnosis helps you change your relationship with food, your body, and yourself. You can let go of rigid food rules and embrace a balanced, intuitive approach to eating. And heal the negative emotions and self-criticism that drive unhealthy behaviors. "You're saying you need to follow this, you have to follow this. This is how you have to do it. This is how you should be doing it. But nothing lasts if it's not something you have chosen authentically and empowered for yourself." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:48 - Sharing personal experiences and anecdotes of challenging it can be to maintain a food plan, especially during holidays and vacations 03:31 - Different individuals' experiences and emotional reactions to weight gain and food behavior 06:55 - Finding a personalized and authentic way of eating that aligns with one's own desires and lifestyle, rather than adhering to rigid food rules 08:57 - How lasting change comes from making authentic and empowered choices rather than following external rules and shoulds. 10:52 - Setting an authentic intention for how you want to eat and take care of yourself during holidays, focusing on what genuinely feels right for you 14:36 -Addressing the underlying mental and emotional patterns rather than just focusing on physical actions like dieting or exercise Valuable Resources:

21 Apr 2021 | Ep 55 Dieting, Burnout, & Flourishing in Wellness with Dalia Kemble | 00:24:10
How do you take care of your health? Most often, we have the perception that being healthy is all about the physical aspect; there is more to that than just what we thought it to be. What you need is a holistic approach to taking care of your physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. Dalia Kemble is a Psychology graduate with a passion for holistic wellbeing and personal development. She holds a master's degree in organizational behavior and development and is the founder of City to Hippie where she coaches women to break free from diet culture, build a healthy relationship with food and feel competent in their body. Dahlia is a self-care advocate and mindset expert and her own journey with dieting and burnout has inspired her to teach others practical tools to help them to reach food freedom and flourish in their own wellness. In this episode, Dalia shares her journey from burnout to wellness. How she learned from that experience the importance of self-care and self-love. And that, it is not just about one’s physical concern but all about a holistic perspective to one’s health. She encourages us that it is alright to acknowledge the different emotions we go through and the need to feel them so it leads us to be okay in the end. We need to understand the effects of holding and keeping emotions; a lot of physical issues are rooted emotionally. We want to do away with that. For any change to happen we need to be aware of ourselves and the limiting beliefs we are making us to believe. When that happens we begin to rewrite the story we tell ourselves to get to the other side of things. Learning to make affirmations and practicing gratitude change everything. Though it needs daily practice, repetition is what makes a transformative change in us. You can always do small acts to lead you on to the journey. And it’s best to enjoy it and not focus solely on the goal. It’s never a good idea to compare yourself with others, what’s important is acknowledging how far you’ve come compared to your previous self. It’s a daily practice and not just a quick fix. It’s good to speak to yourself as you would to a best friend. Treat yourself the compassion and kindness it deserves. “Relaxing and taking time out and really looking after yourself from the inside out is just as important as doing.” - Dalia Kemble What you will learn from this episode: 02:37 - From burnout to a wellness journey 03:46 - Understanding self-care from her burnout experience 06:09 - The importance of taking care of your health from a holistic approach 07:15 - Why it is just as important to feel other emotions with what you're going through and being positive about everything 10:56 - Why you need to understand the effects of not feeling emotions and holding them 12:33 - The first step for any change to happen to you 15:01 - How affirmation and gratitude change the story you are telling yourself 16:41 - Some small acts that you can do to help a lot in your affirmation 19:35 - How you need to enjoy the journey and not focus solely on the goal 20:54 - Mindset matters Connect with Dalia Kemble: Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

20 Sep 2021 | Ep 84 The Four Pillars of Health and Fitness for Self Love | 00:24:56
Overeating, food bingeing, low self-esteem. Are these some of what you go through right now? Should we blame it on the carbs and the choice of foods you’re eating? That’s what most of us do. For the longest time we put negative labels on the food we eat, and every time we eat that which is supposedly ‘restricted’ our inner dialogue starts to play its tricks on us. You may not be aware of that, but the negativity we give and the way we label the foods are actually what describes what we are and what is deep inside of us. Foods are neutral in themselves, the negative reality we’re projecting is what makes things blurry and sad. It’s actually all those loneliness, self-loathing, unhealed wounds, past trauma, and troubled past all coming through. Diet mentality influences the way we approach everything, all with control. But what happens is, things get so perfect when we have everything all in place and followed to a T. When we falter, that’s when things go spiral again, and the cycle keeps repeating. But for how long can you keep it longer? It’s not actually about the food and getting good at avoiding those so-called ‘carbs’ and ‘forbidden food’. It’s all about emotional mastery around food and all those negative noises, getting comfortable around them, and having the tools to deal with it, not with food but with something deeper and life-transforming. Have you thought about the possibility of having that inner peace and lasting freedom that has evaded you even at the height of success you are having now? You can start by letting go of those fears and taking action now. “Watch how when you actually cultivate that self-love, that self-kindness, that the food becomes a non-issue anymore.” - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 01:08 - Talking about the ‘Warrior Goddess Mastermind’ and what is it all about 07:03 - The lies our mind is telling us when we’re stressed 09:34 - Why is it not the carbs that cause overeating? 12:19 - What the negative label we associate food with says about ourselves 14:14 - What else are you not seeing? 15:10 - Where does this vicious cycle of putting ourselves down come from? 19:58 - This is the best time to create an opportunity to be kind to yourself 21:31 - A job that not just positive affirmations can fix Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

21 Jun 2022 | Ep 123 Increase Your Shelf Life With Permanent Weight Loss | 00:24:35
When you think about it, food is not the enemy. It’s our perception about it that makes it so. In order to avoid getting involved in something that requires our attention, we distract ourselves with food. How long will you wait for something tragic to happen to your loved ones or even to yourself before you look inside and take action? We need to stop looking at food as the root of some deeper problems, because the answer lies somewhere down inside. It's not just about weight issues; think about getting healthy and living life to the fullest with friends and family. Hypnosis doesn't just help you lose weight, but it enables you to gain insight into parts of yourself that have been shaped by your past experiences, and may be preventing you from moving forward. You get to master your emotions and use tools to know exactly what you want rather than just covering it up with food obsession. Then you will be able to overcome it and turn things around. In this episode, our guest shares how she realized the importance of taking care of herself and her health so she could be there to support her family and loved ones. As someone curious about Hypnosis, not just to overcome weight issues but also to gain more in life, she decided to try it out. As a result, it was a journey worth her time, money, and emotional commitment since it taught her to do things with intention without sacrificing fun and enjoyment. And with the peace of mind and freedom she gained, it was all worth investing in. "I never expected it to be as life-changing as it was. And so I could only wish this for anyone that's out there. And if you're thinking about it, I know it is a commitment. There's a time commitment. There's a financial commitment. There's an emotional commitment. But who better to invest in than yourself?" What you will learn from this episode: 00:42 - What led her to decide to join the Hypnosis program 02:04 - Hypnosis is more than just weight loss 04:05 - The experience that brought about a life-changing realization 10:19 - Her milestones since joining the Hypnosis program 16:07 - Getting intentional about the things you do but still enjoying it 17:45 - Overcoming diet mentality 22:32 - Encouraging words we can all find comfort in Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:
21 May 2021 | Ep 62 The Need of Community Growth and Healing while Achieving Your Weight Loss Goals | 00:23:49
Do you really think you can do it alone? In her experience, what helped Leslie create the level of success she enjoys now in terms of happiness and inner peace is that she had like-minded people around her to do it together with. All alone by yourself, you falter, and at times lose the resolve to continue the journey. When you have all others to have your backing and supporting you, you can always get guided to continue reaching for your goal. It’s harder to do things on your own, but when done with others who are just as determined and share the same fate you have, you become collaborative. Besides, having someone and a community to hold you accountable for the success you set for yourself makes it all worth it. No one who has reached a level of success in any aspect of their life does it alone. If you want a faster route for a lasting transformation, it’s best to do it with a community. Then, you vibrate in the same wavelength of vibration money and energy as the rest of them. “There is nothing that is more healing than knowing that you are not alone on your path.” - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 02:10 - What helped her create her next level of happiness, and inner peace success 03:48 - The mentality of doing it all by yourself 05:08 - How Leslie’s program is designed to give people permanent and long-lasting success 05:34 - What is more healing to know? 08:21 - Waiting for an invitation to live your greatest potential 14:33 - How no one who’s got a level of success has done it all alone 16:02 - Your success is my success 16:47 - How to create a mindset and wavelength of successful people 17:43 - It’s the backing 18:41 - A very smart tactic to have for success 19:55 - Vibrating in the same wavelength of vibration money and energy 22:06 - The gift you can give yourself Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:

04 Apr 2022 | Ep 112 How Narcissistic Relationships Affect Permanent Weight Loss | 00:27:04
You might not notice it, or maybe you do; you just don't want to face the reality that you are in a relationship with a narcissist. And what's so disheartening is that they could be your family member, a friend, a boyfriend, a husband, or a partner. They're making you feel worse about yourself, questioning your being, and self-worth. However successful you are, or whatever you have achieved in other aspects of life, they don't matter. Because once you get stressed and bombarded with all the anxiety that comes from a toxic relationship, you will grab and hold on to food and alcohol to somehow ease you out of that pain. But still, nothing comes out of it; the endless cycle of you going on the path of never getting settled with what's aligned with your being is never happening. But with Hypnosis for permanent weight loss, you can get the help to dig deeper and understand the reasons why you continue holding on to those unhealthy relationships. Instead of fixing the other person, this is a chance for you to examine yourself and an opportunity to bring back your self-confidence and self-respect, making you set those boundaries for your freedom and happiness. "I've had to have all of these relationships in the past that have not been healthy. But I've used every single one of them to mirror myself versus how I can fix and change them." - Leslie Thornton What you will learn from this episode: 00:21 - Understanding on a personal level what it's like to be in a narcissistic relationship 02:55 - Taking a closer look at narcissists and narcissistic personality disorder 05:41 - What do people in Hypnosis for permanent weight loss have in common? 12:16 - Is there a chance for a narcissist to change? 13:31 - How Hypnosis can help us be better off loving ourselves first than being with a narcissist 14:42 - Tips you can do when in a conversation with a narcissist 22:37 - Mirroring your past relationships with the person that you are versus you fixing them 24:04 - What does this permanent weight loss journey mean for Leslie and for you? 24 Mar 2021 | Ep 51 Hypnosis for Permanent Weight Loss Success Stories: Sheila | 00:32:03
Do you honestly think your weight issues are all about food? Have you been getting help from constant diets but still nothing’s working? When our own needs aren’t met, it is hard to be present with other people and extend ourselves to them. We always feel like we are not enough. Hypnosis for permanent weight loss provides tools for significant transformation where food is far down the list in your head. It addresses not the issue about food but some other core matters that are very much a part of your life; the kind that has been stuck there for so long. Sheila Davis is a graduate of HPWL. In this episode, she shares how getting into hypnosis is hard work but transformational. Hear her divulge her sentiments about feeling the guilt and shame for feeling like crazy inside, thinking she’s the only one going through that emotion. Hypnosis has made her effective in her job; she becomes a better leader, her relationships have improved. And as she gains insight into herself, she also does with other people. And it is helping her a lot in life. She realizes that she’s making busy-ness as her excuses instead of really addressing the real issues. She has a demanding job, and things get a little difficult with her parents' and sisters’ death. The way to cope with it is by disassociating herself from the grief and finding comfort in food. And that got her stuck. It’s with Hypnosis that she is able to deal with it. It’s been a long time since she’s tried many ways to help her with her concern but nothing sticks. That’s when she found Leslie, and her story resonated with her. She decided to do things differently and how it brought her the transformation she had wanted in her life. Hypnosis has given her the tools to uncover so much about her life’s real issues. It has given her a different approach to tackle her everyday problems and life in general. She’s found a supportive community who understands each other’s journey; more importantly, she has come to trust herself more now with the emotional mastery that comes with it. “I think certainly the group and being a part of that has been huge for support on so many things in life, the food becomes so far down the list. And I think part of the win is that it's not about food; it’s really about so many other things.” - Sheila Davis What you will learn from this episode: 00:56 - How she resonated with Leslie’s story and decided to make a try of Hypnosis program 04:28 - Hard in a good way 07:00 - The guilt and the shame that made her feel like crazy 11:30 - Having more insight into herself allowing for more insights from other people 13:54 - Busy-ness as a distracting tendency rather than truly addressing things 16:57 - How hypnosis allowed her to deal with the grief she had been disassociating herself from for so long 20:11 - Making decisions to do things differently and make a change 23:10 - A subtle but profound shift 25:49 - Tools that massively helped in her transformation 29:09 - A different approach that uncovers so much about what the real issues are Valuable Resources: Connect With Leslie Thornton:
