An Ode to My Dog Ned
00:13:48
Today is a very special day!
It’s Ned’s 9th birthday.
Now if you’re thinking “who the heck is Ned?!” - well he’s my best friend, my soulmate, the love of my life, my sidekick in life and business - and he’s my dog.
So if your next question is - “why the heck are you doing a podcast episode about your dog Tahryn?!”
Well you might be shocked to know that Ned is kind of a big deal around here. I would say (and most of my community would agree with me here) that he’s the main character of The Social Bolt.
And whenever I put up a poll on my Instagram stories asking who people want me to interview on the podcast - someone ALWAYS writes Ned.
Yes he has become an integral part of my business, my brand and Ned content is usually my top performing content.
Which is one thousand percent fine by me, because I’m totally obsessed with him too.
So in today’s episode I want to tell you the story of Ned + I and why I made the conscious decision to incorporate him into my business and content.
This is an ode to my dog Ned.
Things You’ll Learn in this Episode of How I Do Content
How Ned came into my life and the day we first met

Content + Facebook Ads - Why your content matters with Nat Alaimo
00:44:12
There’s still a misconception in the online business space that Facebook Ads are a magic pill.
That you can throw some money at ads and hey presto - you’re a millionaire overnight. But that’s not how it works sadly (I mean I wish it was THAT simple!)
And your organic content matters more than you might think.
Because if your content and messaging is shit…well your ads won’t fix that.
Ads should be used to enhance your current results. Not as a quick money making scheme.
Ads + Organic Content are a match made in heaven - so as I’m the Content Wizard, on today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m talking to Facebook Ads Wizard Nat Alaimo.
Nat is a FB Ads Manager and Funnel Strategist for course creators. She uses ads to help businesses scale and get their message into the lives of more clients and students. She knows that sharing their message is what allows business owners to create impact, achieve freedom and unleash their magic.
Nat has spent 12+ years honing her strategic and technical skills in the Facebook World of digital marketing. Natalie mixes this strategic superpower and real-world experience with intuition and meaningful data to create ad + funnel strategies that fit her clients personality and business (because THAT’s when the best results happen).
In today’s episode Nat and I chat about all things Facebook Ads + Content. The kind of content that helps you create great ad funnels and everything you need to know about Facebook Advertising in 2022.
So let’s dive in

Yael is actually one of the first email lists I joined back while I was studying marketing at uni and I’ve learnt so much from her in regards to the power of email marketing and why it’s an essential piece of your content creation puzzle.

00:49:23
I’ve lived with depression and anxiety since I was 16 years old.
And living with anxiety and depression and running a business is interesting to say the least. It adds that layer to the experience of being a CEO in your business - coping with all of the things going on in your business and going on in your mind.
But I also know the power of my voice, of sharing my story, and of connecting with other people through shared experience.
Because what I also know to be true - there’s always someone out there who needs to hear what you’ve got to say.
Sharing your story could change someone’s life.
I know this because today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is someone who’s story impacted me - long before the Social Bolt ever existed.
I’m so happy to chat today with the amazing Lou Fitz from The Anxiety Project.
Through a Lived-Experience approach, Lou supports passionate anxious individuals to find their Inner-Confidence, Inner-Truth & lift the bar on self-knowledge by learning who the fuck they are, why they are the way they are, so they can own themselves authentically without the worrying mind-shitstorms getting in the way!
Lou shares her lessons learnt from coming out the other side of a 20 year battle with anxiety & 4 year battle with depression. Through her relatable, raw AF story telling, she will have you laughing, crying, and feeling a whole lot better about the ‘craziness’ inside your head, and inspire you to take back control and be Authentically YOU!
In today’s episode we dive into Lou’s experience with anxiety and she shares some really great insight into tools and techniques to support anxious biz owners and why sharing her story was so important to her.

How to embody your highest self and thrive in business with Kylie Holmes
00:56:54
The most powerful marketing strategy has nothing to do with posting Reels with seamless transitions and trending audios…
But it DOES have a shitload to do with Y-O-U and how you show up in the online space.
In a world of same sameness it takes a brave soul to really embody your highest self and to show up and share from that place. And in all honesty - that’s how you really stand out online.
We need humans who are committed to showing up in FULL COLOUR - and today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is such a leader at embodying this energy.
And that is my friend and leading lightworker - Kylie Holmes.
Kylie Holmes is a Past Life Healer and Intuitive Coach for big-hearted women, light workers and leaders.
She supports her clients to land in their full essence and embody their wildly messy, beautiful self so that they can remember who they are at soul level, and thrive in this world as the powerful human that they are.
Known for her grounded, magnetic energy and her powerful intuitive guidance, Kylie holds her clients in unconditional love, which allows them to dive into the depths and come home to their truth. Her clients often describe working with her as transformational, magical, life changing, validating and more often than not, a little bit weird (in the best of ways, of course).
You’ll often find her writing and singing songs for her clients, snuggled up on the couch with her dog, Bodhi or with her feet on the earth immersing herself in the beauty and magic that surrounds us.
So in today’s episode Kylie shares her magic with you and gives some amazing insights into how you can embody your highest self and really thrive in your business. And of course make sure you listen to the end where Kylie and I talk about our dogs.

00:39:05
If it’s even possible - I’ve found a word that rivals “launching” in terms of scaring the shit out of business owners.
That word is “sales funnel” - and when you add the words Facebook Advertising to that mix - it’s enough to scare you shitless.

How to turn your launch around when you're not getting results
00:10:39
I was asked a cracker of a question recently, so of course, I’ve turned it into a podcast episode so you can benefit from my answer and my knowledge.
Bookmark it. Save it to come back to. Because you’ll probably need it at some point.
In today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m sharing how to turn your launch around when you’re not getting results.
And no my advice is NOT to throw your launch in the bin and swear off launching forever and ever…
Now if you think that sounds slightly dramatic - I’ve seen so many people go into their launch full of excitement and showing up online and sharing their offer and the next minute NOTHING.
They go multiple days without sales, they’re constantly told no - so they stop mid launch and convince themselves launching is not for them.
And I get it!
When you’re in the messy middle of your launch - that feels like the safest and easiest option.
Because it might shock you to know that my launches don’t always go to plan.
But that’s NOT a reason to stop mid-launch and sentence launching to Azkaban, never to launch again.
Turning around your launch when you’re not getting results comes down to your ability to problem-solve on the go AND a rock solid mindset.
Based on my experience launching - there are some things you can do to turn your launch around.
So if you’re ready to turn that launch around – let’s dive in.

Your soulmate clients are out there searching for you, so what are you doing to get noticed?

Today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is someone who has done just that! I’m talking with my friend and fellow Perth biz legend - Claire Smith.

And she’s turned that passion into a thriving photography business in a short amount of time.
I love Claire’s story! In today’s episode she shares her advice on how to stand out online in a saturated market, the role content has played in building her business and how she deals with everyone’s mate, imposter syndrome.
If you’ve ever said to yourself, I can’t start my business because there’s too many [insert what you do] or no one will ever buy from me because I’m not doing anything special or new - you MUST listen to this episode.

3 Lessons From 3 Years in Business - Part 3 - Focus on building rock-solid business foundations over endlessly chasing fads
00:10:08
Welcome back to the 3rd and final part of my 3 lessons from 3 years in business series.
I SO hope you’re enjoying this mini series - I’ve loved diving deeper into these lessons.
If you haven’t listened to part 1 - press pause on this episode and go back and listen to them first.
If you’re a long time listener of the podcast you’ll know how much I’m an advocate for sustainable business practices over the good old shiny object.
The online space is rife with these little bastards.
I see so many business owners get distracted and spend their time and energy trying to keep up with all of the new trends and “must have” business tactics.
And on top of that E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E seems to be in a race to crack the 10k followers, the 10k months or the 6-figure year the fastest.
But you’re not Usain Bolt.
And you’re putting unnecessary expectation and stress on yourself when you try to chase the shiny objects (aka the new business tactic that’ll bring you fame and fortune).
In today’s episode I’m sharing why you need to STOP wasting your time endlessly chasing fads and START building rock solid business foundations.

The Business of Design: How to create a magical home office space with Caylah Williams
00:26:22
One of my favourite things about my business is that I get to stay at home every single day with Ned all while I support my magical clients.
I’ve built a 6-figure business without having to leave my home which is pretty cool for an introvert like me!
Now I don’t know about you but I spend a lot of time in my office - so it needs to be a space I actually enjoy being in. And if you’re working from home a lot - you probably feel the same right?!
So today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is going to share how you can create a magical home office space. I’m talking to Caylah Williams.
Caylah is the owner and interior designer at Invelope Design Studio - an interior design business based in Perth that specialises in helping new and first home owners, businesses and builders design their spaces to make it work for them.
As a kid, Caylah took the Home's lift out from the newspaper, 'critiqued' the floor plans and was forever drawing her own floor plans.
After completing work experience at a firm in Perth at 15, Caylah knew interior design was the career for her and worked to get her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Interior Architecture from Curtin University.
Caylah has since been in the construction and design industry for 11 years and began Invelope Design Studio in 2019 after helping family, friends and new clients furnish their new homes. This cemented her love for interior design, architecture and chasing ways to be creative everyday.
The best part for Caylah is seeing her clients go from overwhelmed and stressed about their interior design choices to enjoying the design journey and loving their final spaces, knowing that the choices made are carefully considered for their space, lifestyle and needs.
We hope you enjoy our chat!

An Introvert's Guide to Networking
00:09:40
Now if you’re a regular listener you KNOW that I don’t like leaving my house…
And as an introvert I thrive off alone time - just Ned & I.
BUT I also run a business and even though it’s an online business - sometimes I gotta leave my house in the name of building my business.
I know all the extroverts are telling you that you gotta leave your house and talk to people if you want to grow your business.
I mean, easy for them right 😉
And while yes, home is best - networking events can be pretty cool if you choose the right ones to attend.
And if you go into them clear on what you want to get from the experience and set boundaries to manage your energy and look after yourself.
When you look at the benefits of networking events it’s clear why they should be part of your business strategy.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m talking about networking as an introvert. Specifically how I’ve used it to amplify my marketing, build connections and grow my business.

Is the Instagram Era over?
00:10:47
Instagram is quite the dumpster fire right now.
All the drama has been bubbling under the surface for a while now due to lower engagement and increasing unrest amongst users. And if I had to pinpoint the time it started - I’d say around the time they gave us the gift of Reels.
Add onto that the constant changes, the constant glitches and the introductions of new features every 5 minutes it’s turned Instagram into a pretty shit user experience.
Now today’s episode is not to spend the next 10 minutes bitching about Instagram - because that doesn’t help you.
But I do want to share what you can learn from the Instagram drama (particularly what NOT to do) and what it means for your business.

5 reasons why being an Introvert in business is a good thing
00:11:56
Despite what society and the online space says, I’m such a big believer that business was made for introverts and I’m going to tell you why.
Because as an introvert, for most of my life I’ve been told by society that being quiet and enjoying alone time is not a good thing.
We live in a society where it’s considered desirable to be the social, vocal and “life of the party” kinda person.
And then I started my business and in the online space you’re faced with messaging that tells you to be successful you need to be more extroverted.
But I am a walking, talking example of what’s possible for introverts in business when you embrace your unique blend of introverted magic.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m sharing 5 reasons why being an introvert in business is a good thing.

4 Introvert-friendly business strategies to create a sustainable & profitable business without draining your social battery
00:16:08
It’s one thing for me to tell you that being an introvert in business is a superpower – but practically how do you embrace those superpowers and also create an introvert-friendly business strategy?
You know that you’re an introvert and what that means for your energy and now it’s time to manage it in a way that’s best for you and your business.
And that’s exactly what I’ll be sharing in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast – 4 of my favourite introvert-friendly business strategies.
This is super important because as an introvert if you’re always doing the opposite of what feels enjoyable or natural to you – guess what?!
It’ll be impossible to make it work – you’ll end up hating your business or burning yourself out. And you don’t want that.
And to add to that – in the online space, the successful businesses are the ones who are authentic, helpful and engaging.
Your community and your ideal clients want to connect with real people. So if you’re forcing yourself to be someone you’re not (aka an extrovert), your people will be able to tell – and they won’t trust you and therefore won’t buy from you.
So allow me to share some business strategies that are introvert-certified (by me of course).

5 Characteristics of Clients Who Get Results
00:12:35
Quantum leap has become the new buzzword online. Earlier this year it was energetics and now it’s quantum leap.
And with this, I’ve noticed this trend of many people expecting their business to go boom overnight without actually doing the foundational work that leads to these big expansive results.
Or business coaches talking about quantum leaps like they just happened without actually sharing the reality of how it happened. The behind-the-scenes “who, what, when, where, how, why” context is missed when they’re only sharing photos of them sipping cocktails in Bali or the multitude of Stripe deposits into their bank account. There’s nothing wrong with sharing this of course – but context is everything.
Despite what the online space might have you believe – you simply don’t wave a magic wand and hello 6-figure business.
Because here’s the thing – if you want BIG results in your business you’ve gotta be willing to put in the work.
And what I know to be true is that these quantum leaps are actually a result of consistency and certain characteristics business owners embody. It’s THIS that leads you to that tipping point of seemingly overnight results aka a quantum leap.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m sharing 5 characteristics of clients who get results.
When my clients embody these characteristics consistently – that’s when the magic happens!
So let’s begin.

Why You Need to Sell To Stand Out (Even as an Introvert)
00:11:26
Pop Quiz Time
What do I think when I see people sharing their offer (aka selling)?
Is it…
A) You go Glen Coco
B) Sheesh I wish they’d STFU
C) Dog they’re so annoying and salesy
D) Absolutely nothing
The answer is – ALWAYS A or D
The only person thinking B or C is YOU – which means you need to heal your relationship with selling.
Because you’re in BUSINESS – and if you’re not selling in some way every single day, then is it really a business?
And put it this way — if you have something that helps people or solves a problem they have…
It’s a bit rude if you don’t tell them about it, right?
Now I also know selling is something that can feel a little scary and overwhelming when you’re worried about being annoying and sounding salesy.
And if you’re an introvert, the thought of trying to be more extroverted to make sales is immediately no.
But selling is non-negotiable as a business owner and to stand out to your soulmate clients you gotta sell my friend.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m sharing 3 ways to make selling easier so you can sell powerfully and stand out to your soulmate clients even as an introvert.
It’s time to make selling easier – so let’s begin!

Behind the Scenes of my $50k sales month
00:15:05
If I could sum up the past couple of months in my business it would be hectic, exciting and expansive AF.
At the end of August, I launched my very first mastermind (the Introverted Biz-Wizard Mastermind) and by the end of September, I’d hit my first $50k sales month.
I want to preface this by saying – no I didn’t wave a magic wand and hello $50k in sales.
I didn’t post once or twice and then stop because I was worried about annoying people or sounding salesy.
And I also didn’t create any complicated Reels – in fact, none of the reels I shared even had me in them!
In today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’ll share how I DID call in $50k of sales as I take you behind the scenes of my $50k sales month.
As always I value transparency so that’s why I like to break everything down for you so you can understand how I got to this milestone and because I always find it helpful to learn how other biz owners do the same.

Your roadmap to generate 5 and 6 figure launches in 2023
00:15:35
As you head full steam towards the end of the year – you naturally begin to think about next year right?
I’m definitely already thinking ahead to what 2023 will look like for my business and of course that includes my launches – what offers I’ll be launching, when I’ll be launching them and what kinda prep work I need to start moving on now.
And you might be thinking “it’s only October Tahryn, WHAT THE FUCK?!”
But when you think about it – you want to:
Be wrapped up for the year around mid-December
Take some time off or at least reduce your hours for the festive season.
And then if you have kids and you’re in Australia, then there’s school holidays.
Before you know it’s February 2023 and you’re only beginning to get back into the swing of things. Because when you get to the end of this year you want to actually take some time off to rest and recharge – instead of worrying about all the things you need to do in your business in 2023.
So that’s why you want to start doing a bit of forward planning for your launches in 2023 now.
All this to say – you need a repeatable launch roadmap to help you generate those 5 and 6 figure launches in 2023.
And that’s exactly what I’m sharing with you on today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast.

What Taylor Swift can teach you about launching. 5 tips for a magical launch experience
00:18:20
Welcome to the Midnights era!
If you’ve been living under a rock or you’re simply not a Swiftie you might not be aware that on Friday 21st October – Taylor Swift dropped her much-anticipated 10th studio album, Midnights.
In doing so, she sent Swifties around the world into a frenzy.
And if there’s one thing Taylor Alison Swift knows how to do – it’s release a new album and do it in her own unique way.
Other than my Queen Beyoncé – Taylor Swift is unmatched when it comes to building genuine hype and excitement around her album releases. Hype + excitement that leads to album streams and sales.
Now you might be wondering – “Tahryn, what does Taylor Swift and her album release have to do with business?”
Well wizard – the example I always use when I talk about launching, is a music artist releasing an album.
So let’s pretend you’re Taylor Swift for a moment and you decide to release a new album.
All of the steps you need to take in the lead-up to the release date to get the album out into the world and into the ears of as many of your fans as possible – that's what launching is in its simplest form.
Releasing your magic into the world, sharing it with your community and inviting them to join you.
Now what I’ve just witnessed from the Midnights album release is that Taylor Swift is a true launch wizard. I tip my sorting hat to her.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content podcast, I’m sharing what Taylor Swift can teach you about launching.
Yes! This episode is all about how to create a magical launch experience – one that not only captivates your audience but also inspires them into action aka to buy from you.
If you’re in business and you’re a Swiftie you’re going to LOVE this episode – so let’s dive in.

Self Care & Selling Candles: How to Build a Successful Product-Based Business with Cat Westell
00:34:43
The most important part of your business is not how many Instagram followers you have if you’ve gone viral on TikTok or even how much money you make – the most important part of your business is YOU.
Because without you – your business wouldn’t exist. And that’s why it’s so important to look after yourself and prioritise your well-being. Self-care is one way you can do this, but it’s much deeper than just a surface-level practice that might spring to mind when I say the words self-care.
In today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m chatting with my wonderful friend & self-care advocate Cat Westell.
Cat is the owner and creator behind Amoret Muse Creations which she began in 2020 as a way to not only channel her creativity but most importantly to look after herself as well.
She creates beautiful candles, diffusers, and bath and body products to help you pamper yourself, but Cat’s mission is much deeper than that.
It’s this passion and mission alongside these beautiful products that have helped Cat build a thriving product-based business.
So in today’s episode Cat shares what self-care means to her, why it should be a top priority for you as a business owner and how she’s built a 6-figure product-based business in a saturated market.
I know you’ll love Cat and our conversation – so let’s begin.

3 Smart Launch Strategies Working Right Now
00:16:40
We’re headed straight into the storm that is Black Friday, Cyber Monday, End of 2022 – it’s the silly selling season!
This is one of my favourite times of the year to sell.
Don’t believe the stories that you can’t sell right now because everyone else is or that no one is buying right now – because those stories don’t serve you.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I want to share 3 smart launch strategies that are working right now and my advice for you if you’re preparing to sell the shit out of your offers during this season.
As a marketer, I also love this time of year for observing how businesses sell and the offers they choose to put out into the world. I can never just switch off that part of my brain and I love to pour over sales pages, launch emails and all sorts of promotional material.
And this episode is basically a summary of observations from my marketing brain working 24/7 #yourewelcome
So let’s begin!
Things You’ll Learn in this Episode of How I Do Content
3 smart launch strategies that are working right now and how you can use them in your business
My advice for launching during the silly selling season and how you can navigate it successfully
Why this is one of my favourite times of the year to sell

Now, this is potentially controversial…but it needs to be said!
The reason your offer isn’t selling is NOT because:
Your offer sucks or you haven’t included enough bonuses
You haven’t created Reels with immaculate transitions and trending audio
You’ve shared about it too much and pissed people off
I’ve lost count of the number of business owners who spiral because their offer isn’t selling and immediately blame the algorithm, the universe, the recession, their competitors, the full moon – sound familiar?
And the result? You:
Add MORE stuff to your offer – stuff your ideal client doesn’t really need
Re-create a viral Reel from another business owner – because if it worked for them it’d work for you right?!
Stop sharing your offer, delete Instagram and ghost all potential buyers because you don’t want to annoy people – a surefire way for people NOT to buy your offer if you ask me
All of this is a touch over-dramatic, don't you think?
Especially when the real reason your offer isn’t selling is ACTUALLY that your messaging is shit #sorrynotsorry
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m sharing some tips to help you improve your messaging so you don’t burn everything to the ground next time your offer isn’t selling.
Sounds good? Let’s do this!

5 ways to make 2023 easier (and generate more cash)
00:10:24
Holy flying dementors!
Can you believe that in just over a month we’ll be waving bye bye bye to 2022 and welcoming in 2023 – that’s wild right?!
I swear to dog we were welcoming in 2022 like 5 minutes ago!
And I don’t know about you, but I’ve already started thinking about and planning what 2023 is going to look like for myself, Ned and the business.
Because what I know to be true, is that you can set yourself up for success (with less overwhelm and stress) when you have a rock-solid plan of attack.
If you spend a little bit of time planning what 2023 looks like for you + your business NOW, you can really switch off over the Christmas / New Year period and rest and recharge…
Knowing that, come the start of 2023, you can dive straight into creating magic in your business without feeling like you’re already behind.
So to help you start planning ahead for 2023, in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m going to share 5 ways to make 2023 easier (and generate more cash).
Because I’m 100% for making life + business as easy as fucking possible and I’m happily calling in more abundance than ever before in 2023.
This is the potent and powerful planning process that I go through every year around this time – so I hope it’s helpful and let’s begin.

And if you want 2023 to be the year that you harness the power of content + launching in your business – you need to check out my Black Friday offers.
I’m giving you instant access to my signature programs Become a Launch Wizard + the School of Content Wizardry (separately or in a bundle) so you have the marketing and sales strategies you need to make 2023 your best year yet.

So you’ve just survived the 2022 Black Friday & Cyber Monday tsunami – how you feeling? More importantly, how's your inbox feeling?
I have to admit this year’s Black Friday activity shocked me. A couple of years ago it wasn’t really a thing here in Australia – very few businesses ran sales. And then this year, it went up a notch or 100. It seemed like every Harry, Ron & Hermione on the internet had some kind of offer.
Now I actually enjoy observing how businesses sell and consumers shop these sales and make purchase decisions. My favourite (+best) class at uni was consumer behaviour and, as an introvert, I naturally am quite observant.
I’ve observed a lot in the online space over the past 3 years and this year’s Black Friday period got me thinking even more.
I’ve noticed some patterns and things I keep witnessing and I really want to shake people and tell them “for the love of dogs – PLEASE STOP!”
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast I’m going to share 5 things I wouldn’t do as a business owner.
Again – welcome to my brain!
And before I get started I want you to know that I don’t share this to shame you if you do any of these things. I understand as a business owner (and as a human) you’re juggling quite a few things (scratch that – many, many things) and you might not even be aware you’re making these mistakes.
I also want to share some alternatives to these mistakes because it’s all about growing and evolving right?
So let’s do this!

A new way of doing business. How to prepare yourself and your business to bloom with Jess Miller
00:57:34
The last couple of years have often felt like being put through the washing machine several times – right? But right now I’m sensing a shift.
I know many business owners who are ready for change. A change in the way they run their businesses. And a change in the way they live their lives.
To quote Christine Caine – “Sometimes when you're in a dark place you think you've been buried, but you've actually been planted.” And, after being planted for the last couple of years, we’ve reached a point where we’re ready to bloom.
But first, we need to create the right conditions to do so.
And to help you give your life and business a little TLC – today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is here to share her perspective on doing business in 2023.
It’s been a long time coming, but I’m so excited to chat about all things life + business with the wonderful Jess Miller.
Jess is a deep-thinking, big-feeling, joy-seeking revolutionary.
As an integrative business coach, she supports change-making women to redefine success, reclaim their true essence, and recalibrate their bodies so they can cultivate a business and life that feels like home.
She is such a wealth of knowledge when it comes to running a successful business (both brick + motor and online). She’s also a mama to Charlotte, and her husband Pablo is my wonderful podcast editor.
Jess is someone I’ve been inspired by and looked up to longer than the Social Bolt has been in existence. Her Make Your Mark summit back in 2019 opened up a whole world of successful female-led businesses to me and now I’m so lucky to consider her a friend.
In today’s episode, Jess shares what you can do to prepare yourself and your business to bloom in 2023.
So, if you’re ready to navigate business life in a way that feels good for you and also grows your business – let’s begin!

Understanding your human design to amplify your strengths as an introvert with Cat Skreiner
00:55:42
Running a business is probably the greatest personal development journey there is. You learn a whole lot about yourself as you navigate business life:
Your strengths
Your weaknesses
What you like
What you don’t
And it can also open up new ways of thinking, doing business and learning about yourself.
One of my first new discoveries as a business owner was human design.
I’d never heard of it prior to starting my business, and I should also mention I wasn’t a massively spiritual person.
But when I learnt more about human design and my human design type (for reference I’m a 4/6 emotional Manifestor) it was a big permission slip to own my strengths and build a business that works for me!
So, on today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m diving into all things human design with my magical friend Cat Skreiner.
Cat is an energetic business strategist and Human Design guide who works with conscious entrepreneurs and business leaders seeking to understand and embody their unique energetic blueprint to achieve more ease, flow and abundance in their personal and professional lives.
Cat is also an introvert and such a wonderful example of what’s possible for you and your business when you amplify your superpowers and create a business that supports you to thrive.
In today’s episode, Cat shares how knowing your human design helps you to create an aligned and abundant business and how human design changed her life and business.
You’ll also get an insight into my human design profile as Cat does a mini-reading for me.
So let’s begin!

How to take your online business from $100K to $1 million as an introvert with Steph Taylor
00:56:23
As I always say – you don’t need to be an extrovert to be good at business or to have a successful business.
You can be an introvert AND build a 6 or 7-figure business.
But being an introvert and growing a business in the online space means that sometimes you gotta step out of your comfort zone and do things that feel a little uncomfortable.
Let me be clear – it’s not about completely changing who you are, it simply means taking into consideration your strengths and doing things a little bit differently.
And today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is someone who really embraces their introverted superpowers and in doing so has built a phenomenal business – and that’s Steph Taylor.
Steph is an online business strategist, who helps service-based business owners build profitable and sustainable online businesses that continue to grow even when they’re offline.
In 12 months, Steph took her online business from $100K to $1 million. And the best bit? This didn’t come with the trade-off of more hustle and more time. In fact, by creating a solid online business and sales engine, she was able to take weeks off to hike around the outback with a tent on her back, and be off the grid for a month in a campervan with her furry best pal, Archie.
By leaning on strategy over tactics, value over the hard sell, and longevity over quick wins, Steph believes that a successful online business shouldn’t feel like you’re pushing an elephant up the hill, but instead should feel fun, flowy, and fulfilling.
With her podcast, Imperfect Action, that’s clocked over 1.5 million downloads and is supporting over 4,000 paid students and counting, Steph today teaches online businesses how they too can create financial, choice, time, and location freedom through her framework that blends strategy, content, sales, systems, and mindset.
Because let’s be real: your online business shouldn’t fall apart simply because you weren’t “on the tools”, simply because you finally took that holiday, or simply because you didn’t post that reel.
This conversation is filled to the brim with next-level magic – we talk about so many aspects of running an online business and how Steph took her business from $100K to $1 million as an introvert in business.
You’ll LOVE this conversation – so let’s get started.

The exact mindset you need to make social media your bitch as an introvert
00:11:07
Mindset is a HUGE part of what I do.
It’s not something I talk about a whole lot in my content, but it’s always a key piece of how I support my clients.
Now, mindset is something you’ll be navigating whether you’re an introvert or not. But when you throw in the fact that the online space can favour the more extroverted – introverts in business can find themselves faced with different mindset challenges.
And that’s why the first module of the Introverted Biz-Wizard Mastermind is on mindset, and often on our group coaching calls I’m coaching my wizards through mindset challenges they’re navigating.
One of my core values, and something I support my clients with, is not attempting to change who you are so you fit in online – but instead embracing your unique blend of magic (your introverted superpowers) and creating your own unique place in the online space.
Now, the hot topic in my community and my mastermind currently is social media, and specifically how to navigate it as an introvert.
Because it CAN totally feel like the extroverts' playground, and something that does feel challenging – but it always comes down to how you choose to use it and the mindset you need to adopt to make it work FOR you.
So, in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m taking you through the exact mindset you need to make social media your bitch as an introvert.
This is how I navigate social media as an introvert, and it’s helped me to build my business and do it in a way that is uniquely me.
So let’s begin.

How to embrace your unique blend of magic & reach your first 10k month with Chayla Taylor
01:07:38
A $10k month is often one of the first goals you set when you start your business.
And if you’ve hit a $10k month before, you’ll know how exciting it feels when you reach it for the first time. I can still remember my first $10k month and, honestly, I still feel excited when I hit $10k months.
And if you’re yet to reach that milestone, not to worry, because today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast recently hit her first $10k month and is going to share how she did it!
Today I’m talking to my amazing client & friend, Chayla Taylor.
Chayla is a photographer – but this label doesn’t even come close to describing this magical human.
In her own words, she’s a fat, feminist photographer based in Perth Western Australia with 15 years of experience behind the camera – but that’s not what sets her apart.
She’s a posing expert and will have you looking (and feeling) your most fabulous self.
She’s passionate about body positivity, fat acceptance, neurodivergent advocacy and self-love.
She’s a creative genius, and I’m always blown away by the ideas and themes she dreams up for her photoshoots and the results are always a knockout.
Chayla also has the most infectious laugh (which you will soon hear) and working with her is always a fun and hilarious experience, full of genuine warmth.
I’m lucky to have witnessed her incredible growth in the past 18 months.
She’s taken her business from inconsistent bookings and revenue to consistently booking out her photoshoots and also hitting her first 10k month – all while being proudly too much and sparkling and giggling her way through it.
In today’s episode, we dive into how she has embraced her unique blend of magic & in doing so created an incredible business that is uniquely Chayla.
You’ll love Chayla as much as I do, I just know it!
Things You’ll Learn in this Episode of How I Do Content
How Chayla has embraced her unique blend of magic to create a business that’s uniquely Chayla
Chayla’s favourite things about being a photographer and how she channels her creativity to dream up magical photoshoot themes
What you should focus on to reach your first (or next) $10k month in 2023
If you want to be supported by me to embrace your introverted superpowers and grow your business to $10k months and beyond – the Introverted Biz-Wizard Mastermind is where it’s at.
If you’ve ever been told you’re too quiet or you need to be louder to be successful – I call BS.
You don’t need to change who you are and I don’t want you to. The world needs introverts to do their thing without being pressured into doing things they don’t want to.
Introverts are pretty fucking powerful, and when you embrace your personality, you own it and you harness its magic - watch the fuck out, world.
Enrolments are currently open for the March round and I’d love to support you to embrace your unique blend of magic.

Why You As An Introvert Need A Mastermind More Than 1:1 Coaching
00:10:17
As an introvert, I KNOW you love your alone time, and that a group of people is not your idea of a good time…
However, there’s one situation where a group of people is actually a good time.
It’s something that’s good for you AND your business – and that’s a group mastermind.
Now hear me out! I’ve been part of a mastermind in one way or another since 3 months into my business and, as you know – I’m a raging introvert!
I’ve been working with my coach for 4 years, and after doing 1:1 coaching with her first, she then decided to transition her business model to a mastermind model.
I was invited to join the first round of her mastermind and I’m not going to lie – I wasn’t totally sold on group coaching or being in a group with people I didn’t know.
But 4 years later here I am – still working with the same coach, and still in a mastermind. I’m also a support coach for one of my coach’s masterminds AND I’m the Head Wizard inside the Introverted Biz-Wizard Mastermind.
So I know my way around a mastermind, and I’ve experienced the magic that happens inside these containers.
In today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m sharing 3 reasons why masterminds and introverts are a match made in heaven!
Don’t believe me – let’s get into it!
Join the Introverted Biz-Wizard Mastermind If you’re an introvert in business who is weighing up your options between 1:1 coaching and a mastermind – you should really check out the Introverted Biz-Wizard Mastermind.
The positives of the Introverted Biz-Wizard Mastermind are:
You get the best of both worlds – 1:1 coaching AND group coaching
I cap the number of wizards at 10 to keep the mastermind small and intimate – you’re not one of many on the calls with limited access to the coach
Your coach is an introvert just like you and is there to support you to create a business that amplifies your strengths
And even though I KNOW you love your time alone – you don’t have to do business alone.
That’s why I created this mastermind specifically for introverts.
So come join us! The doors are currently open for the March round and I’d so love to support you to take your business to the next level – the introverts’ way!
How My Baseline is $10k+ Months + How You Can Create It Too
00:13:16
Give me consistent cash and I’m as happy as Hermione at exam time.
Over the last 4 years, I’ve built a consistent $10k+ cash baseline in my business. It means $10k months are the minimum for my business – and anything I earn on top of that is a magical bonus.
Now I didn’t get to this baseline by getting caught up in the latest trends or being distracted by shiny shit.
I’ve prioritised the boring basics:
Offer creation
Messaging & Marketing
Launching & Selling
Creating a memorable personal brand
Building & nurturing my community
I’ve consistently done the things that many people avoid because they’re too busy focusing on how to create a viral Reel or quantum leap to 6-figures overnight.

How to Create an In-Demand Offer in 3 Simple Steps
00:11:38
A couple of weeks ago I launched my 90-minute intensive 'How to Create a Money-Making Personal Brand' sessions – and they quite literally flew out the door on their Nimbus 2000 broomstick.
My goal was to sell 10 intensives at the special launch price of $299 – and I hit that goal in a week!
I didn’t even get a chance to share some of the amazing content I had planned – so this was a very simple, low-key launch.
Now, this also wasn’t a fluke.
This is the third time I’ve launched 90-minute intensives at this price point.
And this is the third time I’ve sold them out – each quicker than the last.
Want to know how I did it?
Good, because you’re in the right place!
In today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m going to share the 3 things you need to focus on to create an in-demand offer that sells out.
No, it’s not just you – business IS a little slower than usual.
The economy, the cost of living, and an impending recession mean that consumers are more discerning with how they spend their money.
It’s not to say they’re not buying – it’s just at the moment it’s not as fast and free-flowing as it once was.
Most business owners I’ve spoken to are also experiencing a slower start to the year – slower sales, slower launches, increased decision time and lower engagement.
So now you can exhale knowing it’s not just you!
I also want to share what this means for you.
Because you don’t have to sit in the fear and uncertainty and let it consume you. It’s the perfect time to get proactive about where you’re spending your time in your business and what you’re going to do to navigate the current landscape.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m sharing the 4 things you can focus on right now to keep building momentum and making money in your business.
The Secret To Scroll-Stopping Brand Messaging That Makes Sales On Repeat
00:11:58
I want to let you in on a little secret.
A way to get your ideal clients and customers to stop scrolling past your content…
To take notice and have your content speak so deeply to them, they think you’ve taken up residence in their head …
Which gives them no other option but to throw their money at you!
In today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m sharing the messaging shifts you need to make to stand out online and cash in.
Because THIS right here is the difference between crickets and consistent clients + cash.
And, in an online space where you’re competing for the attention of your community – you need to know how to master your marketing message.
To cut through the noise and stamp your unique blend of magic everywhere so it’s clear to your ideal clients or customers why they need YOU in their life – RIGHT NOW!
21 Must-Have Tools to Grow Your Small Business to Six Figures (and Beyond!)

Because on today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m sharing the tech tools and team that support Ned & I, and help create the magic you see on the front end.
You usually only see the finished product on the front end, but there’s a whole lot more that you don’t see when it comes to running a 6-figure business.
I’m sharing everything I use in my business, why I use it, and also some other options I know work - because sharing is caring right?!
This episode topic was HIGHLY requested by my Instagram fam – so I hope you find it super helpful and insightful!
When a Launch Doesn't Go to Plan: What to Do Next (with examples)
00:13:24
My launches don’t always go to plan.
Shocking, I know, for this so-called “launch wizard”.
But the reality is that sometimes…
The tech dogs like to test me with tech issues
Instagram engagement goes down the toilet mid-launch
The unsubscribes and unfollows pile up
There are multiple days in a row without sales
All I hear is “NO I don’t have the time”, “NO I don’t have the money”, and “NO I’m not ready”
I don’t even come close to hitting my launch goals
In fact, there’s usually some version of this in every single launch.
So, in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I want to take you behind the scenes of a launch of mine that didn’t go to plan – my most recent launch of the Introverted Biz-Wizard Mastermind.
I’m going to share with you my reflections on why it didn’t go to plan, and what lessons I’m taking from this launch to tweak and refine for future launches.
My Biggest Lessons In Business From Startup to Success - 100th Episode Special
01:00:22
One hundred.
One hundred episodes of the How I Do Content Podcast.
One hundred episodes of me sitting down at the microphone, hitting record, and sharing what’s hot on my heart.
And, in doing so – hoping that it resonates with you.
But here we are today – 2 years later, over 20,000 downloads, 47 magical guests, and hitting record on episode 100.
To celebrate, I’m handing over the mic to my extra special guest host – someone who played a BIG role in my decision to start this podcast – my magical friend Bec Cuzzillo.
Bec is a Spiritual Business Coach for spiritual women who want to build abundant, heart-led, sustainable businesses – businesses that truly set their souls on fire.
But she’s so much more than that to me.
Bec & I have been in the same mastermind container for the past 4 years. We are the OG Swift Masterminders & OG Swift Inner Circlers with our business coach Ellie Swift – that’s how we first connected.
And, in 2020, I started working with Bec as her virtual assistant / OBM / content assistant. During that time she launched her podcast Feminine Fire, and working with her on that gave me the confidence to start this podcast.
Even though we took a small break, I couldn’t resist going back to support Bec with her podcast and launch content – which makes her one of only a couple of done-for-you content + copy clients I have.
So when it came time to decide who should be my guest host for Episode 100 – it was pretty obvious.
Bec is not only one of my biz besties, but she’s also one of my best friends, so it feels special to share this episode with her.
So let’s do this – Episode 100!

3 Essential Components to Master to Hit $10k Months
00:12:35
It’s no secret that if you’re marketing yourself and your business online you need to be constantly evolving.
The landscape in the online space is always changing.
I only need to look back 4 years ago when I started my business to see how much has shifted and changed.
There’s always a new trend or marketing channel, or way of marketing and selling your offers, to keep on top of.
Over these 4 years, as a good introvert does, I’ve observed and listened to what I’m seeing and hearing in the online space.
I’ve also been privy to the behind-the-scenes of so many of the successful businesses that you know and love…
Not to mention the hundreds of clients I’ve supported to build and grow their businesses.
What I’ve observed is that when it comes to hitting those $10k+ months and continually growing your business year after year – there are 3 components you need to master.
3 components that will become even more important as the online space continues to grow and expand.
In today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’ll be breaking down these 3 components into my signature framework.
It’s something I’ve been teaching my clients for years, but this is the first time I’ve really put it out there as my process.
So let’s begin!

3 Aussie Brands Who Absolutely Nail Their Marketing + What You Can Learn from Them
00:16:33
I’m an absolute sucker for good marketing.
Even though I have a degree in marketing and I know as a marketer there’s always an element of strategy in what brands are doing – when they nail their marketing + their messaging… TAKE MY MONEY! If you can make ME feel like I matter, that I’m important and not just another $$...
AND you can back up that marketing with actual results and a kick-ass product or service... Well, you've got me – hook, line and sinker. I’ll be your biggest cheerleader for life and I’ll happily shout your name from the rooftop (without you even having to ask). I even laugh at myself for being the "perfect customer" in the customer journey sometimes. I used to think I was weird for how much I analysed brands and their marketing + messaging – but I’ve come to realise it’s an actual superpower of mine.
So, in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’ve got my observation cloak on and I’m going to share 3 brands that nail their messaging, and what you can learn from them.
I think it’s so helpful to see examples of magical marketing + messaging out in the wild and then apply the same principles to your brand and business.
So let’s do this!

An Honest Conversation About Business & The Impact of Social Media with Jessie Parker
01:18:14
Nothing is more refreshing to me than honest + open conversations about the realities of business life.
I’m not a fan of surface-level small talk.
I believe there’s so much magic to be found in these deeper-level conversations and it also helps you to find your people and form genuine connections.
And one person I absolutely love having these conversations with is Jessie Parker.
Jessie runs cup-filling in-person events + a mastermind for Perth business owners. She has this superpower of bringing people together, and creating brave spaces for open + honest conversations exploring the real-life version of being your own boss.
She’s a mum of 3, a FIFO wife and a dog mum who loves all things creative, especially illustration, graphic design and making a mess.
Not to mention, Jessie is really passionate about humans being here on earth to have a human experience and staying true to their values in life and business…
NOT spending all your time glued to your smartphones, buying into the social media circus, and spending every ounce of energy creating content to please algorithms (algorithms that aren't designed with human's best interests at heart).
I absolutely love our juicy chats about all things life and business, and thought why not bring it here for you to listen to as well?
These are the conversation I fucking live for and wish more people would share so openly and honestly – I know you’re going to LOVE it!

The Psychology Behind Magical Copy with Copywriting Wizard Anita Siek
01:01:22
The secret to writing persuasive and impactful copy that converts into clients is a magical mix of psychology and words.
And perhaps you’re thinking to yourself – “what does psychology have to do with copywriting, Tahryn?!”
Well, a whole lot more than you think!
Because, as I always say – the most important thing when creating anything in your business is WHO you’re creating it for.
Whether that’s content or offers – you need to deeply understand them (what they’re currently navigating, experiencing and feeling) and what they desire instead if you want to make consistent sales in your business.
And this is something you can’t outsource to ChatGPT.
The successful businesses are those that are deeply connected and tapped into what their community needs and wants, and they deliver on it again and again.
And what better wizard to chat about this with than the magical Anita Siek?
Anita is a lawyer turned brand strategist and copywriter, and CEO of Wordfetti, a human-centred brand strategy and copywriting house specialising in helping brands that don't do normal create a dent in their industry through the power of psychology and words.
Anita's work has been featured on Forbes, Boss Babes, Mumbrella, Smart Company, Thrive and more, and some of her clients include Australia's largest insurance group, IAG, Challenge DV (formerly known as Australia's CEO Challenge), Lack of Color, The Calile Hotel Group and Luna Bronze.
I KNOW you’re going to love this conversation and Anita!
So let’s begin.

The Unplugged Woman: How to Take an Intentional Year Off Instagram with Misty Johnson
00:54:35
Have you ever felt like taking a break from Instagram?
I definitely have!
It’s a big decision that brings up a whole lot of other questions like:
How will I grow my business if I’m not on Instagram?
Will my community remember who I am if I’m not on Instagram?
What if I miss out on an exciting opportunity because I’m not on Instagram?
So, if you’ve ever thought about taking a break from Instagram, but couldn’t get your head around how it would work – you’re in luck!
Today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is currently taking a year off Instagram and is going to share her experience so far with you.
I’m excited to talk to the magical Misty Johnson.
Misty is a Social Media Self-Care Coach and stay-at-home, Mama-on-a-mission, supporting women to unplug from social media in a simple, sustainable, stress-free way (that works for them) so they can hit refresh on their time and prioritise what's truly important.
Misty believes the unplugged woman is potent and powerful, and, by prioritising social media self-care, you can cultivate a healthy, intentional relationship with social media, and have the capacity to impact the lives of those nearest and dearest to you.
She also lives by the idea she calls "JOLO", or the Joy of Living Offline. Where you get to be present in the moment, for the moment - rather than worrying about taking the perfect photo for social media, instead capturing that moment in time for the pure joy it brings.
This is such a refreshing and eye-opening discussion and if you’ve been thinking about disconnecting to reconnect – you’ll love it too!

00:09:29
The humble sales page is a powerful tool that helps businesses market and sell their offers.
And yet some online “gurus” will try to tell you that sales pages are dead.
I disagree completely – the sales page is NOT dead…
HOWEVER…
Online business has changed.
Consumers and how they make their purchase decision has changed.
And yet, people are still writing sales pages the exact same way and expecting better results.
So no, the sales page isn’t dead, but how you’re writing them should be!
In today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m going to tell you why you still need a sales page AND how you can avoid making the most common sales page mistakes that I’ve witnessed from reviewing hundreds of sales pages over the last 4 years.

How My Toughest Year In Business Became My Most Profitable To Date
00:11:45
As I sat down to reflect on the end of the 22/23 Financial Year, I discovered that not only was June my biggest-ever cash month in business…
But it was also my biggest financial year to date.
And while I love celebrating these magical milestones – I also share this with you because my biggest year in business (to date) didn’t exactly look like what you might expect it to look like.
There was about a 3-month period earlier this year where business felt really hard. And no matter what I did, it felt like I was pushing shit up a hill.
So I know what you’re thinking – how did I end up having my biggest year in business, all while navigating these challenges?
Well, in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m going to reveal all. I want you to walk away feeling confident that this is possible for you AND for you to have some really practical tips for how to turn things around if you’re finding business hard right now.
So let’s begin!

Redefining Success: Why You Don't Need a Rags to Riches Story
00:11:17
I’m sure you’ve heard it before – if you want to create a connection with your ideal client or customer, you need to tell your story.
Heck, if you’re a long-time listener of this podcast or you’ve come to any of my masterclasses – you’ll know this is something I speak about a lot.
And one of the most common objections I hear when it comes to sharing your story is – “but Tahryn, I’m not that interesting.” or “I don’t have a rags to riches story.”
Firstly – same! I’m a basic bitch from way back.
In fact, I always joke with my coach – “imagine if everyone knew how boring I am”. My idea of a good time is staying home with my dog and doing abso-fuckin-lutely nothing.
So I totally hear you on that, but today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast is going to blow up the notion that you need a rags-to-riches story to share your story.
You up for the challenge? Let’s do it!
Sign up for my 1:1 Biz Wizard Coaching Series This is for you if you want to build an in-demand business that showcases your unique blend of magic and that feels fucking good.
It’s not your average business coaching series as it includes 5 hours a month of done-for-you copy + content (yes, I do that for you!).
If you want me to be your business coach AND copy wizard – tap your wand here.
I can’t wait to support you in creating incredible magic in your business.
How to Showcase Your Unique Magic so Your Business Stands Out
00:10:23
If you’re a long-time listener of the podcast, you’ll know there are 2 things I’m not a big fan of…
Copy + paste templates and Reels.
Now the reason I’m not a fan is because these 2 things have a HUGE impact on what’s shared in the online space and how people show up online.
So often people consciously or subconsciously try to “fit in” by emulating what other people are doing.
You try to replicate someone else’s strategy or create content a certain way because that’s what everyone else is doing and it’s working for them – so you want that too.
Seems like a smart option right?
But here’s the thing, doing something just because every Harry, Ron & Hermione on the internet is doing it – is NEVER a good business strategy.

4 Key Strategies For Winning & Keeping Your Dream Clients
00:11:51
Winning clients is the goal right?!
But what does it actually take to attract those Beyonce-level clients who are as hot as Harry Styles and ready to buy from you?
But before I reveal how to make winning clients easier…
Let me first share something that actually makes it harder – a mistake you might be making in the pursuit of these dream clients.
And that’s chasing marketing trends.
I see it time and time again – people getting distracted by the latest shiny marketing trend or quick hack to make your quantum leap to 7-figures overnight.
Here’s what you need to understand about marketing – good marketing isn’t what’s trending!
A sustainable AND profitable business isn’t built on what’s currently “trending” – and if you create your marketing strategy around trends…
You’ll always find yourself chasing the next thing when these trends change or stop working – and who has time for that?!
So on today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m going to save you a whole lot of time chasing trends and instead share proven marketing strategies that work every time.
Strategies that I teach my clients and use in my business on repeat – so I know they work!
Let’s do it!

6 Proven Marketing Strategies Every Business Owner Needs To Know
00:17:59
When I studied marketing at uni they didn’t teach me how to use social media.
In fact, the time devoted to learning about social media was the equivalent of a couple of slides in ONE lecture over my 2-year degree. It was hardly mentioned!
At the time I was annoyed because my goal was to work in a social media role after uni – so of course I wanted to learn more.
But 4 years into business I can hand on my Ned-loving heart say I’m actually glad they didn’t because instead, I learnt the important marketing foundations and strategies that work time and time again regardless of the specific channel used.
This has served me so well in business because I know how to show up consistently and attract, engage and connect with dream clients across multiple marketing channels without spending more time creating content or worrying about why Instagram hates me this week.
It’s made growing and nurturing a community and making Sirius money SO MUCH EASIER.
And I share this with you because it’s easy to get caught up thinking social media = marketing.
Which it doesn’t!
An over-reliance on social media doesn’t serve you. Because what happens is you get so focused on why your follower count isn’t growing or your story views are down or learning about the latest update – you lose sight of the zillions of other ways to market your offers.
Marketing strategies that don’t feel like a soul-sucking dementor.
Social media is only ONE part of your marketing strategy and as I always say – if it’s your entire marketing strategy – you gotta change that.
So on today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m sharing ways to maximise your marketing efforts that never go out of style.
And how do I know?
They’re the same spells I learnt in my Masters of Marketing Degree AND I’ve leveraged them in my business to make multi 6-figures over the last 4 years.
They’re strategies you’ll always need – so let’s get into it.

How To Reduce Stress and Avoid Burnout as a Business Owner with Amanda Louisa
01:00:37
There are a lot of burnt-out business owners in the online space.
I believe this is the case for a number of reasons:
During the pandemic online business owners worked a whole lot more than you usually would because what else was there to do?
Then coming out the other side, trying to keep up with that level of output while juggling all the things that resumed as normal
Not to mention the online business space has grown a lot in the last 3 years and this has meant there’s increasing competition so you have to make sure you’re on top of marketing and sales more than ever before
With this growth in the online space has also seen the rise of the guru who spruiks the “best way” to build a successful business is their preferred method of course. And even though it doesn’t align with your values and desires – you do it anyway because you don’t want to be left behind.
I mean – fuck it’s not surprising you’re feeling burnt out and not loving business life.
So what can you do about it?
Well, today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is here to help!

It’s ALSO something that can take up a whole lot of your precious time IF you don’t know where to focus your attention to maximise your efforts.

How To Find Balance Building a Multi-6-Figure Business with Tori Kopke
00:57:03
Which comes first: your life or your business?
A big reason so many people start a business is because they want a freedom-based lifestyle. The freedom to do what YOU want to do, get paid what YOU want to get paid, AND do it when and where YOU want to do it.
But what often ends up happening is you start putting your business before your life and that freedom-based lifestyle starts to feel impossible.
So is it actually possible to build a successful business AND maintain a freedom-based lifestyle?
Today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast proves it is possible – I’m talking to Tori Kopke.
Tori is The Rural and Regional Business Coach. She works with women across Australia to create, launch, sell and scale their signature offers.
She does it all from her family farm in the Wheatbelt of WA where she wears many hats: wife, Mum of two little boys, header driver, COO, and more. She’s managed to build a multi-six-figure business in the middle of nowhere during nap times!
Her philosophy is about having a life-first business, and she supports her clients to build businesses where their life comes first too.
So if you’ve been feeling that your business is starting to take over your life a little more than you’d like – this is a must-listen episode.

My 4-Step Marketing Strategy to Nail Your Black Friday Launch
00:12:09
Black Friday & Cyber Monday are fast approaching…
It’s the time of the year when your inbox and social media feed are inundated with big sales and special offers.
And even though Black Friday isn’t until the 24th of November (with Cyber Monday following a few days later), you’ll probably notice things go up a notch or a 100 in the first couple of weeks of November.
Black Friday started in the United States to mark the start of the Christmas shopping season – but it’s become a global sales period where many brands and businesses run highly promoted sales at discounted prices.
This is my third year doing a Black Friday launch and each year it seems like more and more businesses have Black Friday sales or offers.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m sharing how I plan my Black Friday launch this year.
The first year I ever ran a Black Friday offer it was definitely a last-minute decision, but now it’s something I plan for knowing that it’s a great time to sell your offers.
This episode will give you an insight into the strategy behind my upcoming launch and I’ll also share some tips on how you can prepare for your own Black Friday launch.
The Ultimate Guide to Ending 2023 on a High: My Q4 Strategy
00:12:55
If you’re a long-time listener of the How I Do Content Podcast, you KNOW I love a plan!
In fact, if you’ve listened to any of the episodes that have the words “3 things”, or “3 tips”, or “3 strategies” in the title – it’s a safe bet that one of those things involves a plan or a strategy.
But all jokes aside – the reason I’ve been able to build a 6-figure business, make sales from every offer I’ve launched, attract Beyoncé-level clients on repeat, and maintain this high level of consistency…
...is because I ALWAYS have a plan.
A long-term plan
A short-term plan
A launch plan
A marketing plan
A Black Friday plan
Me + Planning is kinda like Me + Ned – a package deal and better together.
Last week I shared how I’m planning my Black Friday launch this year, and, on today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m sharing how I’m planning my Q4.
Now, you might be thinking – “Tahryn, it’s well into October and Q4; aren’t you a bit late to the party?”
Hell no! It’s never too late to do a bit of planning, and the process I’m about to share with you is the exact planning process I go through every quarter – it keeps me on track and clear on what I need to focus on in my business to hit my goals.
You know I also love a good repeatable process – so today’s episode will support you both now and in the future!

Mastering Your Entrepreneurial Mindset with Anna Hastie
01:03:02
The most successful business owners are those who prioritise their mindset.
This is not to say they prioritise the mindset work over taking action – they do it at the same time.
They utilise different strategies to become the most aligned, magnetic and confident business owners they desire to be.
And in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, the magical Anna Hastie is going to share how you can utilise different mindset strategies to help you do the same.
Anna began her entrepreneurial life as a Remedial Massage Therapist and grew a highly sought-after Natural Therapy business.

Roadmap to 5-Figures: My Stress-Free Launch Strategy
00:16:56
At the start of the year, I had one of my most challenging launches.
Despite being a seasoned Launch Wizard:
I ended the launch not reaching my goal
I heard ‘no’ wayyyyyyy more times than I heard ‘yes’ + was ghosted A LOT
People who I thought would sign up didn’t
I literally had an entire 4 weeks of no sales
I found it really fucking hard to sell my offer and even though my launch didn’t go to plan – I didn’t make it mean I’m shit at launching or swear off launching forever.
It’s just one of those things that sometimes happens in business and you can either choose to let it destroy you or you can take the lessons and keep moving.
I chose to take the lessons and keep moving because I’m a big believer that there’s ALWAYS something you can learn from your launches if you take the time to look for them.
And this story has a happy ending because fast forward 6 months I went from having my most challenging launch to having my most easy and fun launch.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my most recent launch for the Money-Making Marketing Kickstarter which was easy, fun and 5-figures!
I’m going to give you an insight into how I prepared for this launch from a mindset, strategy and marketing perspective.
So let’s dive in!
Sign up for my magical Black Friday offers It’s that time of the year where I open up my wizard trunk and give you access to some of my favourite biz wizard spells!

You’ll find a Black Friday Offer based on what’s feasible for you in your business – from DIY to planned-for-you to full coaching and implementation.
I can’t wait to see which gift you give yourself + your business.
It’s wild to me that I’m already speaking about 2024 – but here we are!
This is the time of the year when marketers and business coaches are making their predictions for the year ahead, and planning how they can create success in their business and support their clients to do the same.
Things in the online space shift quickly when it comes to technology and consumer behaviour – so you need to keep your finger on the pulse should you need to pivot and make changes.
You also need to know what is for you and what isn’t – so you don’t find yourself chasing after shiny unsustainable trends.
There’s no point pouring time and resources into your marketing if it’s not getting you what you really want – attracting Beyonce-level clients and consistent business growth.
So, in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’ve dusted off my crystal ball to share my marketing predictions for 2024.
I’m spilling the tea on what you can expect and the most important things to focus on when it comes to marketing your business in the next 12 months.
Now you can of course do a quick Google Search for 2024 Marketing Predictions and most people are saying the same thing…
So I wanted to share some alternatives to what everyone is saying – to add my unique perspective to these trends. Because I NEVER EVER want to sound like every other Harry, Ron & Hermione on the internet.
So let’s dive in!
Sign up for my magical Black Friday offers If you want to set yourself up for success in 2024 and beyond with tried and tested strategies to support you to create magical sales-generating content and launch with confidence – my Black Friday offers are for you!

Small Business Insurance Simplified with Casey Fenton
00:44:48
When you start a business you don’t quite know the whole scope of what you’re getting into.
Sure you might have a basic idea of what you think you need to do to run a successful business…
But in reality, running a business is like an iceberg. There’s the part you see above the water (aka what you see on social media) and then a whole heap that goes on below the water and behind the scenes that you don’t see.
What’s going on below the water is often not shown or talked about enough but is super important to be aware of.
Insurance is one of these things.
Now I’m not an insurance wizard, but I do know one, so I invited the magical Casey Fenton onto the How I Do Content Podcast to simplify insurance for you.
Casey is the Founder and Managing Director at Sparksure which offers Insurance solutions for millennials, by millennials.
In 2019 Casey had a light bulb moment when she identified a gap in the insurance broking market – the millennial business owner. Over the past 4 years, she’s been on a relentless pursuit to close this gap, and earlier this year she officially launched Sparksure.
She’s focused on rewriting the old, boring rule book and is making insurance solutions accessible, impactful and aligned for motivated business owners.
And now as a business owner herself, she understands the importance of smart insurance solutions made simple.
I know you’re going to love this episode and Casey too!

How do I know?
Well, that’s a secret I’m happy to tell you, dear wizard!
This year I made some tweaks to the messaging for my 1:1 Biz Wizard Series and it changed the game for myself and my business.
This offer became my easiest offer to sell despite it also being my most premium offer in terms of price point.
So how did I do it?
Well, in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I will share the exact messaging tweaks I made, why it worked, and how you can apply this to your own messaging.

And if you’re listening to the episode feeling burnt out and like you’re limping to the finish line – I know the thought of thinking about next year is probably not your idea of a good time right now…

2023 In Review: Business and Life Lessons from the Past Year
00:14:11
So here we are – the final episode of the How I Do Content Podcast in 2023.
I wasn’t sure what I was going to share with you today, because, if I’m completely honest, 2023 has been the year that nearly broke me.
I sat here 12 months ago and shared with you that 2022 had been my most challenging year in business to date…
And sitting here now it feels like 2023 said “Hold my beer”...
I’ve debated exactly what I’d tell you about this year, because it would be so easy for me to sit here and pretend like everything is perfect and tell you how much I’ve “killed it” all year.
But if you’re a long-time listener of this podcast, if you’ve followed me on Instagram for a while, or if you’ve worked with me in some capacity, you know I value honesty and transparency.
So I’m never going to sit here and sugarcoat shit or feed you a story just to make myself feel better. Of course I’m not going to share every single detail with you because: a) We might be here for a while b) It’s not actually helpful and supportive to you or me
As always, I want you to take away something that’s relevant and relatable to you and your business. So, in today’s episode, I share my biggest lesons from 2023, what I’m most proud of, and a glimpse into my 2024 vision.

The Introverted Entrepreneur's Guide to Podcasting with Siska Wijaya

You know how much I love this podcast right?!
And it’s not just because I love connecting with my community in this way – but also because of how much easier it’s made my content creation process.
Instead of spending all my time focused on social media and worrying about whether the algorithm will deem my content good enough to be seen…
I have a way to connect with my community AND a marketing channel I own minus the pesky algorithm and million hoops you need to jump through for your content to actually be seen.
The moment I launched my podcast it changed the game for my content creation process.
I’ve also supported many of my clients to launch their own podcast and they feel the exact same way!
Today’s guest on the How I Do Content Podcast is going to share her experience with launching a podcast – I’m excited to talk to my client and friend, Siska Wijaya
Siska is an Introvert Coach who supports introverts to fully own their introverted self and create their own version of a full, inspired life which she does through her 1:1 coaching series, The Empowered Introvert.
Last year Siska launched her podcast – The Introverts Chat Podcast - and since then she’s gone from hating creating content to absolutely loving it!
So, if launching a podcast in 2024 is something you’ve been thinking about, you want to keep listening!
Let’s dive in!

The goal of your marketing?
To give your ideal clients and customers the information required to nurture them from first discovering you to handing over their payment details.
So on today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I want to share how you can turn your marketing into a money-making machine.
Now in the online space, it’s very easy to get caught up in the shiny, sparkly aspects of marketing – creating the on-brand Canva graphics, updating your Instagram bio for the 100th time or searching for the perfect trending audio for your latest reel. These should be the icing on your marketing cake – not the entire cake.
So if that’s where you spend a big chunk of your marketing time currently – let me share some more effective ways to start generating a better return on time investment.
Insta-Wizardry: How I Became Fully Booked From One Social Media Post
00:13:10
I recently shared a post on Instagram that beat the algorithm (take that, Zuckerberg) and booked out my business for Q1.
Welllllllllllllllllllll kind of…
I hand on my Ned-loving heart admit that I’m being a little bit cheeky with the topic for today’s episode…
Because if you’ve listened to this podcast before (or you’ve been part of my community for a while now) you KNOW I think the whole “booking out your business with one post” kinda vibe is BS.
And whenever I see these kinda posts – I know more often than not it’s missing the ever-important CONTEXT.
It’s basically clickbait without any of the juice or the specifics.
And one thing you can always count on from me – I’m always going to give you the juice and the specifics.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I’m about to break down a real-life example of a piece of content that stood out like Hagrid amongst a group of Hogwarts students, and activated dream clients to take action faster than Harry chasing the golden snitch.
Yep, I’m revealing my secret magic spell to writing content that connects and converts.

It’s safe to say this offer has completely transformed my business and how I support my clients.
So in today’s episode of the How I Do Content Podcast, I want to give you an insight into how I work with my clients within this offer – specifically the different elements, why I’ve chosen to do it this way and how it serves my clients.
