After more than 12 years in the fragrance industry, where she served in various roles at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), Franziska Josteit founded her high-end perfume brand, "Luisa Jo - Wild Perfumery." Here are some key pieces of career advice she shares in this episode:

1. Talk to strangers: Discussions on a train can open up new industries to you.
2. Study foreign languages: Learning French is essential for the industry, and other languages can also be beneficial.
3. Always ask if you want to move to something new: Being proactive about your career moves is crucial. That's it.
4. Be ready to wait: Sometimes advancing in your career or starting a new venture requires patience and following someone's "vision" on how to do that.
5. Be curious about other cultures: The more curious you are, the better.
6. Accept criticism and work with feedback: This piece of advice is probably the most important in the whole industry.
7. Prepare for a safe leaving: Have a solid plan and safety net in place when making significant career changes.
