People die, then they don’t die.   Dead and Buried (81) lovingly brought to life by Gary Sherman  and written by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett of Alien fame!  One of the original video  nasty 72 that explores themes like mortality and how communities can become a little bit murdery when they egg each other on.  It also confronts us with our fear of needles, harpoons and lumps of wood round the back of the head. Tony and Adam discuss all of this and it dawns on them that in Potters Bluff no one can hear you scream.

Underneath the streets of wherever are a race of mutants. Tony and Adam chat about CHUD, a film  by Douglas Cheek, they are undecided, is it a thoughtfully written ecological statement?  Or maybe a study of how some members of society can sometimes become forgotten.   

Above all else this film sets out to demonstrate just one thing - CHUDs like to paaaaarty!

Tony and Adam take a dive into  A Bay of Blood from horror legend Mario Bava, not only was it one of the first slasher films but is also one of the original banned video nasty 72.  We don't have enough time to go through all its aka's now, Twitch of the Death Nerve, Bloody Deeds etc.  
Suffice to say this influenced a lot of films.

These Zombies really put a shift in and they plot n scheme throughout; quite  impressive really.  This is Umberto_Lenzi’s 1980 crazy effort  Nightmare City.  The debate on whether Zombies should run rages on and in conclusion Tony n Adam agree on very little. 
It really is hot in the city, as Billy Idol once said, TONIGHT!

One American legend (Vincent Price) and a selection of british screen icons put on a show for Tony and Adam, and oh what a show it is.  This is Theatre of Blood and this is easily their best episode yet, it sets a new bench mark in production values and sound quality.  They've already decided that this is the one that they'll definitely submit for consideration in this year annual podcast award thing.

Alice Sweet Alice (76) aka Communion aka Holy Terror aka Mask Murders is a movie lovingly brought to us by Alfred Sole.  This Giallo / slasher hybrid got caught up in the UK's Video Nasty debacle and never had a proper video release until 2003.  So its time for the T&A boys to give it some long overdue attention.

Tony and Adam explore the Knights Templar and focus on the first entry in this horrifying movie series.  Tombs of the Blind Dead is an intriguing 1972 Spanish horror  film, directed by Amando de Ossorio. 

The  dead rise up and cause local villagers all sorts of headaches.  Watch open mouthed as they rock up n shake things down a little.  If you thought a fulci or a romero zombie moves slowly, these are not moving at all, they literally don't move and yet manage to wipe out half a town (Berzano)

Basically this is about male pregnancy and the challenges it presents. Like a modern version of Junior.
This is Men from 2022, a film by Alex Garland and this is something perculiar.
You get to see Kinear’s junk as well, which some movie buffs will be all over, like a termite on a discarded doughnut

Now this is Humanoids from the Deep (1980) a film directed by Barbara Peeters and Jimmy T Murakami and produced by Roger Corman.  Yet another infamous movie to make it onto the UK’s video nasties list, ah the good old days, when people who were desperate to be offended could decide what you could or couldn't watch.

This is yet another film that highlights the animal kingdoms general poor form.  Tony and Adam take their horror journey to the depths of the ocean where they encounter mutated creatures high on chemicals and out for some action.  This isn’t a documentary, but if it was then it would paint a grim view of our future, enslaved by randy fish dudes.

Yippey we're off to Summer Camp! Shock ending spoiler discussed, possibly problematic? Tony and Adam are progressive, thats what “everyone” says; they support all communities. Okay?! Good.

This is Sleepaway Camp a film directed by Robert Hiltzik, who masterfully tells the tale of a young girl struggling to come to terms with her traumatic past.   A cop struggles to come to terms with the tragic loss of a moustache and a number of actors struggle to cope with their director, what does it all mean?  

Nothing, nothing at all.

Tony and Adam are delighted to be discussing Possession (81), an infamous entry onto the original video nasty list.

This movie by Andrej Zulawski, is a film like no other, the mesmerising Isabelle Adjani acts her little socks off and Samuel Neil does well to hold this experimental movie together.

By the end the boys are left wondering what it all means, but ultimately decide it must be something to do with the futility of getting shacked up with a sturgeon.

Bodycount : Tony and Adam watched this movie expecting Ice-T to rock up and say something street like 'Yo' or 'ya bitches wan it up ya pipes', instead they get something completely different and far more unsettling.  A film that the judging panel from Bake-Off would probably say was inedible and not layered.

Xtro, Xtro talk all about it!! Well actually listen, anyhow; Tony and Adam have their suspicions confirmed that we can't be the only living creatures in the universe and this documentary only serves to compound their belief system still further.  They also believe that like the Spiderman movies, XTRO (82) by Harry Bromley Davenport is long overdue a reboot, it'll only be a matter of time before this alien turdfest gets snapped up by someone and they sprinkle a bit of CGI juice all over it. Another horror filled episode : Tony and Adam take an enjoyable journey through The Gate (87), they peer into a smoking hole and live to tell the tale (ineloquently).  This is an exploration into the most 80s of 80s horror movie.   With this film Tibor Takács has blown our reviewers minds with startling effects and witty/intelligent dialogue. 

Once again this pair passionately believe that this episode, should be listened to once all other horror podcasts have been exhausted.
