Heading into the Christmas season of 2017 Steve, Andy and Paul did an hour dedicated to hockey books past, present and future - giving overviews and recommendations! To set the mood we talked with prolific hockey author Kevin Shea in Toronto who has written or co-written more than 20 books on hockey including biographies of Larry Robinson, Bill Barilko, Derek Sanderson & Ron Ellis. There is some serious Tragically Hip talk in this show, too! Enjoy!

Scott was born with his umbilical cord caught around his left wrist and had to have his left hand amputated at a young age. Connelly won 1952 Memorial Cup with Guelph Biltmores alongside future greats Andy Bathgate, Dean Prentice, Lou Fontinato and Harry Howell. Perhaps the greatest Jr. A team ever based on future NHL games played!

Connelly also won an Olympic Silver medal at 1960 Squaw Valley Winter Games before winning Allan Cup National Championship with 1960 Chatham Maroons.

Jim was a South Porcupine native who lived in Hanover, ON as an accountant for 37 years after his playing days, before retiring to London, Ontario.
