I’m a 50-somethng CEO, Chartered Accountant & Chartered Secretary, who is very selfishly, but very necessarily, searching for things that will help me be the best I can be, in all aspects of my life: Mental, Physical, and Spiritual.
Because life is about creating the best version of self, thriving in everyday life, as today is not a dress rehearsal for something to come, today is now, and its about showing up fully, competently and capably for yourself in every moment. That’s why my target is to improve myself, not because there is something wrong or missing with me, but because 'to be the best me I can be' is the best way of living I have found.
I do what I do, for me, first and foremost. As the airlines say just before takeoff “in the unlikely event of … please put on your own oxygen mask before helping others.”
Unless I am the best version of me, how can I offer anything to others.
Currently, my target is to get the best information on how to live a great daily life. First and foremost with that, it stems from optimising our hormones. This is my target – empower people through unbiased information, and also through empowering them to look at things from a wisdom point of view, rather than just accepting the standard narrative.

You have most likely heard of talk therapy for Mental Health... however have you heard of ART THERAPY?
In this episode of me&my health up we speak with Megan VanMeter who specialises in Art Therapy. We discuss the what, and the how Art Therapy supports our Mental Health.
About Megan VanMeter
Megan is a board-certified registered Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Professional. From her personal experience Megan knows burnout from working in behavioral health, correctional, educational, medical, and social services settings. She also knows the special kinds of burnout that come from being a caregiver and a target of workplace bullying. Asking for help was hard, but my future depended on it. Megan had to create a future for herself out of the darkness.
Megan says "creating is an active process. Talking about the future won’t create it, and you can’t talk about things you can’t put into words--like the full-body experience of burnout, or the full-body experience of marginalization, which leaves you apt to succumb to burnout faster than your non-marginalized peers. I became an art therapist to help you create a better outcome for yourself using your very own eyes and hands and the full-body wisdom they’re connected to. You already have everything it takes to glow beyond this dark moment. All you need is someone to share their light with you while you create your masterpiece, and I'd love to be that someone."

If you answered yes, then this episode of me&my health up is for you! Andie Holman - the Scar Queen shares her wisdom and experience with scars and wound healing. Andie will enlighten you on what you can do to heal the pain and share tips on how you can love your scar.
Andie Holman's story
Throughout childhood and my teens, I had itchy, weepy, skin that felt like it was on fire.
I had eczema on my eyelids and mouth, which were chronically cracked, bleeding, and gooey. Yuck.
It got to the point that steroid creams and pills weren’t working. My doctor told me I was on my own. I was 15.
That was almost forty years ago.
So, I set off experimenting with different plants, teas, lotions, supplements, diet changes, you name it, I tried it.
Around the same time, I also had major surgery. I was left with painful scars that no one would touch. After my massage training in 1994, I worked solo on myself, figuring out what helped and how to do it.
Both of those experiences, the eczema and the scarring, led to my specialties. I can look back now and say the suffering was worth it, as it gave me the tools and drive to turn it around and help others.

I grew up in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne and during my childhood and teenage years I was very active in sports such as swimming, soccer and Taekwondo. After practicing Taekwondo for 10 years, I became an instructor which allowed me to help people improve their fitness and self-confidence. However, my priorities changed during my teenage years when I was introduced to the gym. I was having an absolute blast getting bigger and stronger. However, during my first few years in the gym, I developed a rotator cuff tendinopathy and was extremely frustrated that I couldn’t do what I love anymore due to pain. During this time, I became drawn to learn more about how the rehabilitation process works. I also noticed how great it felt to go back to doing what I enjoyed. This opened up my world and brought me into my career in exercise physiology. I want to help as many people as I can, to get back to doing what they enjoy most.

Would you like glowing, healthy skin? Or do you have problems dealing with your acne, eczema, wrinkles, flaky and dry skin?
If you answered yes, then 🎙 this episode of me&my health up is for you! Andie Holman shares her knowledge on what you can do to improve your lymphatic system to optimise your skin health. Andie also discusses her top tips on achieving beautiful and glowing skin.

This episode of me&my health up adresses Type II Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) from a holistic lense looking at diet, exercise, and lifestyle.
T2DM is a prevalent condition in society today, and its occurrences can be prevented by changing diet and lifestyle.
Our guest speaker Stefan Velevski - Exercise Physiologist and the host Anthony Hartcher - Clinical Nutritionist & Lifestyle Medicine Specialist discuss the holistic approach to managing T2DM.
Stefan Velevski Story

What could be a more empowering approach to eating than trusting your own body's signals? Unleashing your intuition when it comes to food? This is what today's episode all about. As a clinical nutritionist and lifestyle medicine specialist, I, Anthony Hatcher, will be your guide as we explore the fascinating world of intuitive eating. We'll dig into how to distinguish authentic hunger signals from deceptive environmental triggers, and how all this interplays with the mind-body connection. The goal? To cultivate a healthier relationship with food and enhance your overall wellbeing.
But we won't stop there. We'll take on the often misunderstood practice of calorie-counting and shed light on its pitfalls – mainly, the warped notion it fosters about food being 'good' or 'bad'. Instead, we'll create a mindful approach to eating that values balance and considers your unique lifestyle and health objectives – not a simplistic calorie count. I'll also be stressing the importance of eating in a relaxed state and giving your digestive system its well-deserved breaks – two often overlooked aspects of digestive health.
Lastly, we'll tackle the tough topic of food triggers and how to manage them effectively. We'll break down how environmental triggers, boredom, and stress can masquerade as hunger and share strategies on how to handle these feelings without using food as a crutch. More importantly, we'll discuss ways to identify and deal with triggers that lead to emotional eating, ultimately empowering you for body transformation and wellbeing. So tune in, and please, share this enlightening episode with those who might benefit from it.
