Have you met Andrea Greene from Beans Events & Beans Treats?
01:27:27
Have you met Andrea Greene yet?
Andrea Greene is the Owner and Operator of Beans Events and Beans Treats, a custom decor and treat company that specializes in creating specialty pieces for your special events.
"Bean’s Treats and Bean’s events gets its name from the nickname my mother gave me when I was growing up; Bean. My family still calls me Bean to this day!
My mother is a huge reason why I love baking and crafting. She always found these great crafting magazines- there was no Pinterest back then- and she would make holidays extra special by replicating her magazine findings. Baking we would do on Sunday’s and this became our religion. I was her trusted helper for both activities and I loved the bonding it provided.
As a mother with two small children of my own, I do my best to explore what my children love to do and bond over it just like my mother and I. Although my children don’t help in any way with my customers products, we’re still very involved in our own family treats and crafts!
Besides being a mom, wife, corporate slave, entrepreneur... etc. I am me. That involves playing soccer, getting my nails done-professionally, binge watching netfix, crave, Disney + #ad , unwillingly killing houseplants, and holding myself up to high expectations. I’m a giver. I have probably the best circle of friends any one woman could ever have- they keep my soul intact. And my husband is a really solid dude who puts up with every thing that I throw at him. And God knows I have thrown him some heaters. Every day I try to find love within myself and/or in the very least in nature. And that’s me! I’m pretty, pretty, pretty lucky. Shannon is a breathwork facilitator in Whistler, BC. It was Shannon's interest in meditation as a way to slow down, that led her towards the path of breathwork. As someone who loves connecting people, her goal is to build a community through her breathwork sessions where others can experience the same limitless possibilities of healing and awakening, simply by breathing. Being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome at the age of 16, it was only until she was in her late twenties and trying to conceive when she realized how serious her condition was. With a lack of Canadian resources for women dealing with PCOS, she created an Instagram profile to meet other women facing the same condition.
After going through fertility treatments for two years, and meeting other women dealing with infertility - she realized the commonality for how women feel alone in their struggles and are hesitant to share. It wasn't only about Kat's PCOS anymore, this was a much wider problem and that is how Future Female Magazine was born.
Her goal was to help create a platform for women to share their struggles, doubts and raw stories on topics such as Mental Illness, Cancer and Physical Disabilities. Future Female magazine is a self-care forum that is carried on by a theme chosen by Kat and Managing Editor Sara for each bi-annual issue with the hopes that we can gather our writers to share useful resources and information that can help you along in your journey!

Have you met Kristine Sostar McLellan from One Tough Mother?
00:48:47
In this weeks episode we feature Kristine Sostar McLellan, the Founder of One Tough Mother.
Kristine is an accidental entrepreneur. With a 10+ year career in Corporate Communications, she started One Tough Mother the year after her first child was born in 2017.
After experiencing the incredible shock (does anyone realize how frequently they'll be calling their Mom to bring giant pads and granny panties?), and emotional ups and downs of entering new motherhood, she knew she never wanted another Mama to go through it unprepared.
It started as a simple idea she was barely able to say out loud in her parents' backyard, What if I provided Moms with the information and resources they need in one, simple product?
But she set to work surveying hundreds of Moms, trying to figure out exactly what they they loved, used most and wished they had had. It became clear that, as much as they needed certain items, they needed information and support, too.
So One Tough Mother, and the Postpartum Survival Kit, was born. Whether for a first, second or fourth time Mom, the kit was filled with all the items new Moms need — and also came with an eBook and online community of honesty and support.
Today One Tough Mother is a Vancouver-based, Mom-owned business committed to helping Mamas thrive. Now officially Mom-owned — plural! — as her childhood friend and doula (she attended both of Kristine's home births!), Allison Farrance, has officially come on as a co-owner. In addition to the Postpartum Survival Kit, they recently launched their own proprietary line of clean and vegan postpartum products: Thrive Mama... Because helping Mamas thrive is the entire reason they do what they do.

Meet Jane Stoller – a Swiss-Canadian life-biz organizer, speaker, author and university instructor whose passion is in de-cluttering spaces and organizing business processes. Jane wrote her first book Organizing for Your Lifestylein 2016 to help friends get more organized. It ultimately gained international attention, and this allowed Jane to turn her passion into a profitable business, Organized Jane. Stoller travels all around the world working with clients ranging from individuals looking to revamp one space, to large corporations needing a complete business overhaul.
“My goal is not to turn someone’s home into a magazine perfect image, it is not sustainable,” says Stoller. “I work around a client’s specific lifestyle, or an aspect of their life they want to focus on, and develop a custom organization system from there. The end result? Reduced stress, increased productivity and happiness.”
When Stoller sets down her pen and paper, she puts on her teaching hat. Stoller lectures at Vancouver Island University in Canada for part of the year, helping students learn management skills.
Prior to launching her organizing business, Stoller worked for the large cement company in the world, which allowed her to live all over Canada and Europe. Jane had an invaluable experience, but decided to make a nerve-wracking jump to entrepreneurship after realizing she wanted to live life to its fullest and follow her passion for organizing.
Stoller is currently promoting her second book, Decluttering for Dummies, teaching, working with individual and corporate clients, and can be found at various speaking events.
In her spare time Stoller enjoys traveling to exotic destinations, spending time with family, and staying active via skiing as currently resides in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, and has a secondary home in Exuma, Bahamas.
