Josh has recorded 2 major label records on the SONY/Work label as the singer/guitarist and songwriter for the Rock group "Protein". Josh’s next original band, turned his music 180 degrees, it was Alt Country before the term Americana was coined. "The Mother Truckers", was formed with his talented wife Teal Collins. They moved to Austin, TX where they released 4 albums, and were named “Best Roots-Rock band” at the SXSW Austin Music Awards, toured all over the country and Europe, and have played along side such acts as Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and many more traditional country acts. Teal later formed the group “The Whiskey Sisters” with Josh on guitar, they recorded an eponymous album, co-produced by Zee, and were named “Best New Band” at the SXSW Austin Music Awards, toured coast to coast and on over to Europe. In their conversation they cover: His photography and documenting his experiences and the Fender guitar covered in Andy’s photographs. They speak about Andy’s contemporaries while coming up, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Howe, Peter Green, David Gilmore Albert Lee to name a few. They discuss the EP that accompanies his book of photography… and how that relates to scoring film. They discuss Hank Marvin’s role in Andy’s life which will come full circle with a recording project with Andy and Hank. A Lowden player, he has worked at high-profile studios including Blackbird, Muscle Shoals, and Sun. The show closes with winemaker Christophe Paubert, who delves into the varieties offered at Stags Leap Winery. In their conversation they discussed: Growing up on the East Coast in the Baltimore area and how guitar and pedal steel became a part of Barry’s life. They talk about his guitar abilities on both 6 string guitars and pedal steel guitar.
