20 Nov 2024Know your enemy.00:37:41

Have you ever wondered why certain struggles seem to hit harder or come out of nowhere? The enemy doesn’t play fair, but he’s also predictable—if you know what to watch for. In this episode, we uncover the enemy’s strategies and reveal how you can stay one step ahead. Through Scripture and real-world application, you’ll learn to recognize his attacks, guard your heart, and walk boldly in God’s truth.

"In order that satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes."  - 2 Corinthians 2:11

Episode Bible Study Notes:

  • 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV): "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."
    • Sober-mindedness means staying spiritually aware and avoiding distractions that cloud your connection with God.
  • 2 Corinthians 2:11 (NIV): "In order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes."
    • Knowing the enemy's strategies helps us stand firm and avoid being caught off guard
  • James 4:7 (NIV): "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
    • Resisting temptation starts with surrendering fully to God.

2. Insights on the Enemy’s Tactics:

  • The Roaring Lion: The enemy is compared to a lion because of his strategic, stealthy, and sudden attacks.
  • He often targets us during spiritual weakness or isolation.
  • Just like a lion stalks its prey, satan waits for moments when we let our guard down.
  • Masquerades as Light (2 Corinthians 11:14): satan disguises his attacks to appear harmless or even good, making spiritual discernment essential.

3. The Three Temptations (1 John 2:16):

  • Lust of the Flesh: Physical desires that conflict with God’s will.
  • Lust of the Eyes: Coveting things we don’t have, like wealth or status.
  • Pride of Life: Self-reliance and seeking recognition apart from God.

4. Living Wisely and Staying Spiritually Attuned:

  • Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV): "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."
  • Avoiding distractions—whether they’re material, emotional, or digital—allows us to hear God more clearly, just as He revealed through moments of stillness in my life. Put on the full armor of God daily.

16 Dec 2024Dating God's Way Pt. 100:50:13

Back by popular demand—my husband Drew joins me on the podcast! Let’s be honest: dating can be challenging, especially when the Bible doesn’t directly talk about it. So how do we navigate dating in a way that prepares us for marriages that honor God? In Part 1, Drew and I are tackling dating God’s way. We’re asking each other the tough questions, sharing personal advice, and diving into what Scripture teaches about building Christ-centered relationships. Whether you’re single, dating, or married, this episode is filled with practical wisdom and encouragement for your journey.

Part 2 Coming Later This Week

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV):

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

07 Mar 2025Less of You, More of God00:43:15

Would you still listen to this episode if it had nothing to do with you… but everything to do with God? We live in a world that constantly asks, "What can God do for me?" But what if faith wasn’t about what we get, but about who He is? What if we stopped making our relationship with God a transaction and started making it a posture, one of surrender, trust, and devotion?

This episode isn’t about us. It’s about Him. I want to challenge you today: What would your life look like if it was truly less of you and more of God? If you pursued Him, not for blessings, but because He is worthy? If you found contentment in Him alone, even if He never gave you another thing?

Because the truth is, we’ve already been given everything through Jesus.

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:26

11 Apr 2025Honest Girl Chat | Friendships Ending, Lust Struggles, Waiting Seasons, Insecurity, Trusting God + More00:45:32

Today’s episode is a big sister Q&A — just real, honest girl talk about the things we all wonder but don’t always say out loud. We’re talking about losing friendships in your 20’s, struggling with lust as a Christian girl, trusting God in waiting seasons, dealing with insecurity, making the first move in dating, and even how to start reading your Bible. I’ve missed you guys so much, and it feels so good to sit down and just talk again. My heart for this episode is that you leave feeling seen, encouraged, and reminded that God cares about every detail of your life — even the messy parts.

Hebrews 10:24-25
"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together... but encouraging one another."

18 Apr 2025A Love That Came Close00:07:51

This one’s a little different. It’s not a typical episode… it’s more of a pause.

I really felt the Holy Spirit tugging on me to just stop and remember what Jesus did. Not just on Good Friday, but every day — because this story is still changing lives.

This episode is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and sit with the love of a God who didn’t stay distant, but stepped into our mess. Who chose the cross — not because He had to, but because He wanted to.

It’s not just a story about pain.
 It’s a love story.
 And it’s for you.

Whenever you’re listening — today, next week, or months from now, this is your reminder: He came close. He stayed. And He’s not finished yet.
