19 Sep 2022036 10 Reasons Your Sales Calls Aren't Converting00:20:50

A client recently asked me, “Rose, do you have a checklist for all the reasons why I’m not converting my sales calls when selling my coaching programme?” This episode is born out of that question.

 

I used to convert sales around 30% of the time, with that figure now reaching between 75%-85%. Non-conversion usually occurs because my offering was never really the right fit for them anyway. So, the way I see it, I achieve an 100% success rate when converting leads to clients. Today, I’ll share the 9 most common reasons (it was supposed to be 10, but apparently, I can’t count) why your sales calls aren’t converting.

 

The questions you’ll learn to ask yourself:

-        Are the leads that are getting on the calls with you the right people in the first place? Are they qualified leads?

-        Is the offer right for them? Are you selling the right thing to the right person?

-        Are you articulating the value of your offer clearly enough?

-        Are you people pleasing or are you leading the conversation?

-        Are you in CERTAINTY about your offer, the processes you are taking them through and the results you are helping them achieve?

-        Is it clear why this person would work with you over others?

-        If they don’t make a decision on the call, do you clarify what’s holding them back from a ‘yes’?

-        Can you offer a non-judgemental, safe space for them to share their concerns and worries?

-        Are you too attached to the sales outcome?

 

We all ultimately want to make sales, but don’t be too attached to the outcome. Although it can be challenging if you are struggling with financial constraints, you should always trust that the right people WILL sign up to work with you.

Welcome back to the Grow to CEO podcast. Welcome back to the Grow to CEO podcast. Today’s episode is quite the value bomb because I’m going to be walking you through how you can build more trust with your online community, so that you can make more sales. Just to be really clear, we’re not building trust to manipulate people into buying from you. Instead, it’s a case of how you can elevate the degree to which your brand is trusted by others, so they feel safe investing in you.

 

This episode is going to be particularly important to you if you want to decrease the time it takes for somebody to sign up after discovering you. When somebody first discovers you, the level of scepticism about you and what you do is going to be at its highest, and therefore trust is inadvertently proportionate to scepticism. You want to ensure that scepticism is coming down quickly and trust is going up quickly.

Today I'll be sharing the five lessons I learned from making my first million pounds. I'll go through what these lessons have taught me regarding the mindset and inner work needed to achieve this landmark, the time it should take, the people you should surround yourself with, and how hard you can expect it to be.

This week, I will take you through a Standard Operation Procedure or SOP, which is something to rely on when making massive mistakes. Part of being an entrepreneur is making decisions and sometimes assuming big risks, so making mistakes shouldn't be seen as a rarity. Therefore, having a procedure to know how to react to these unfortunate yet common events is very important.

After listening to this episode, you won't be exempt from making mistakes, but you'll be equipped with this five-step process to deal with them the best way possible.

- Why you should always start by apologizing after making a mistake

- The importance of owning your errors immediately instead of causing more damage by deflecting your responsibility

Today I'm sharing what I really think about the coaches who sell offers based on the “vibe” or the “energy” of the offer that one will experience with them, and how this is eroding trust in the online industry. So, for the clients to have their experiences aligned with the expectations from your offer, you’ll need to know how to articulate the value of your group coaching program so that it sells.

What You’ll Learn: 

- How to recognise a valuable offer vs spiritual entertainment

- You get paid for the value that you articulate, not the value that you deliver

- Where to start from with clearly articulating the value of your offer

- The two versions and examples of a program promise

- How to price your offer based on value and market positioning

Remember that your ability to sell your program depends on your ability to communicate the value of it. However, articulating that value can be tough, so working with an expert on this will save you from going around in circles for months and years.

As part of The Collective, a mastermind group of women leaders and entrepreneurs led by Natalie MacNeil which is an official partner of Sir Richard Branson’s not-for-profit Virgin Unite, I was lucky enough to be invited to Necker Island with Sir Richard Branson earlier this month. I was invited alongside 40 or so other female entrepreneurs who truly wanted the best for each other, and this love-based community really warmed my heart.
