समुद्रतट पर विशाल जनसमूह - जहाँ कहीं भी प्रभु येसु जाते थे, वहाँ भीड़ इकठा हो जाती थी।

बारह प्रेरितों का चुनाव - उनके साथ रहने और भेजे जाने के लिए प्रभु विशाल जनसमूह से 12 विशेष शिष्यों को चुने और उनका नाम प्रेरित रखे।

ईसा के सम्बन्धी - प्रभु इतने व्यस्त रहते थे कि उन्हें खाने का समय तक नहीं मिलता था।

ईसा और बेलज़ेबुल - नेता लोग प्रभु को गिराने की कोशिश करते रहते थे। अब उन पर बेलज़ेबुल की शक्ति से कार्य करने का अभियोग लगते हैं; ताकि लोग उनके पास न जाएँ।

पवित्र आत्म के विरुध्द पाप - प्रभु पवित्र आत्मा की शक्ति से अपना मिशन कार्य संपन्न करने के बारे में बताते हैं।

ईसा के यथार्थ सम्बन्धी - प्रभु येसु के सम्बन्धी बनने के लिए, हमें भी उन्हीं के सामान पिता की इच्छा पूरी करते रहने की जरुरत है।

JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM

Tenth Day in the company of Joseph – the Dreamer

Two things:

Let’s know Joseph

Son of Jacob and Rachel, his second wife – his love, second daughter of his uncle

Joseph was born in the old age of Jacob as the 11thboy. He and Benjamin were born to Rachel.

The favoured one of his father, Jacob.

Joseph was very much loved by Jacob because he had been born to him in his old age. He was given a special gift by his father - a richly ornamented coat. This favouritism wasn't well-received by his brothers.

Anthropologists today have found that this sibling rivalry is a common by-product of polygamous marriages. Children were often born by different wives, and each wife wanted the best for their child. The Bible tells us that Joseph and Benjamin are the sons of Jacob's second wife, while all the other sons are from different wives. Being given a special coat would have only fuelled the brothers' jealousy.

Joseph was a dreamer and interpreter of the dreams.

Joseph's brothers were also suspicious of the strange and vivid dreams he had and did not like the interpretations he told them.

Joseph's brothers sold him as a slave 

His brothers eventually took their revenge by selling Joseph as a slave to passing merchants. While Joseph was being taken to Egypt, his brothers faked his death by rubbing goat's blood into the multi-coloured coat.

In Egypt, Joseph became a house servant to a rich, high-ranking Egyptian, Potiphar. In the household he was noticed by Potiphar's wife who tried to seduce him, but he resisted her and was put in prison. Whilst in prison Joseph used his power to interpret the dreams of prison officials, and when the Pharaoh had two disturbing dreams Joseph was called to interpret them.

According to Joseph's interpretation, there were to be seven years of plenty in Egypt, followed by seven years of famine. Joseph was able to advise the Pharaoh on how to prepare for the famine and as a result, gained the favour of the Pharaoh who promoted him to Prime Minister.

During the famine, Joseph had to make key decisions. His acquisition of grain provisions enabled Egypt to withstand and survive the famine.

Jesus – second Joseph

Brothers of both of them thought that they are getting rid of them, while in reality, God was using them to fulfil His plans. God wanted Joseph in Egypt and used his brothers to sell him off. The enemies, rather the brothers of Jesus put Him to death, thinking that they were destroying Him. God used both the events to save the brothers through Joseph and Jesus.

Both said the same – their brothers did without knowing what they were doing.

Lesson from Joseph for our journey to Bethlehem – ability to see God’s hands in all that happens in our life and the willingness to surrender entirely to do the will of God.

Day 09 | चालीसा काल विशेष | 50 दिनों की साधना by Fr. George Mary Claret  Lent 2023

हर व्यक्ति चाहता है कि वह ईश्वर से एक घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध स्थापित कर दे। लेकिन हम अधिक्तर ईश्वर से नहीं बल्कि अपने से प्रार्थना में बात करते हैं। 

इसके कारण, हम वास्तव में ईश्वर का अनुभव नहीं कर पाते हैं। संत इग्नेशियस द्वारा स्थापित इस साधना के सहारे 50 दिनों की साधना कर हम ईश्वर के लिए अपने हृदय को खोल देंगे। इसके फल-स्वरुप, हम ईश्वर से एक घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध स्थापित करने में सक्षम होंगे।

50 दिनों की इस साधना के नौवाँ दिन सन्त मत्ती का सुसमाचार 7:7-14 पर आधारित है।

Biblical Guide to Life #47: God became man [flesh] because He loves YOU (Origen of Alexandria)

God is in love with YOU and me.

That love of God brought Him like YOU and me.

Because love has the power to do so, as St. Clare says,

"We become what we love and who we love shapes what we become."

There were so many heresies in the Early Church and most of them were on the Most Holy Trinity and Incarnation.

Origen of Alexandria (185-254) is considered to be the greatest Greek Father.

His teachings and writings helped the Church to deal with the heresies.

He said,

हालांकि मसीह ईश्वर थे, वे शरीर धारण किए; और मनुष्य बनने के बाद, वे वही रहे जो वे थे, ईश्वर।

"Although Christ was God, he took flesh; and having been made man, he remained what he was, God."

The Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity took flesh from the Blessed Virgin Mary and became man.

He is the Divine Person. By assuming human nature, He, the Second Divine Person has both the natures - divine and human.

He is fully divine and fully human.

To understand this great Mystery, let's take the help of St. John.

आदि में शब्द था, शब्द ईश्वर के साथ था और शब्द ईश्वर था। शब्द ने शरीर धारण कर हमारे बीच निवास किया। (सन्त योहन1:1,14a)

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth." (John 1:1,14).

The Word, Who is the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity, became flesh.

But, what is the reason behind His becoming man?

The reason is HIS unconditional love for YOU and me.

As St. Clare said, love makes the lover become like the beloved.

That is the intensity of the love God has for YOU and me!

Let's acknowledge His love, accept it and let ourselves be loved by the Word Incarnate!

Let's take the risk!

The Divine Mercy Message and Devotion

The message of The Divine Mercy is simple. It is that

God loves us – all of us.

And, He wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins,

so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy,

and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share His joy.

The Divine Mercy message is one we can call to mind simply by remembering ABC:  The easiest way to remember: ABC of Divine Mercy

A - Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer constantly, repenting of our sins and asking Him to pour His mercy out upon us and upon the whole world.

- God gives us His mercy

Ø Not to have it

Ø But to BECOME – mercy – merciful

B - Be merciful. – a channel of His mercy. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it flow through us to others. He wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us.

- to keep receiving His mercy or to continue to be in the state

- TOTAL Trust in the Lord!

C - Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that all the graces of His mercy can only be received by our TRUST. The more we open the door of our hearts and lives to Him with trust, the more we can receive.

FORMS OF DEVOTION

Through St. Faustina, the Merciful Savior has given the aching world new channels for the outpouring of His grace. These new channels include

1) the Image of The Divine Mercy

2) the Feast of Mercy (Divine Mercy Sunday) – the Second Sunday of Easter

3) the Chaplet,

4) the Novena to The Divine Mercy,

5) Prayer at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the Hour of Great Mercy.

हर व्यक्ति चाहता है कि वह ईश्वर से एक घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध स्थापित कर दे। लेकिन हम अधिक्तर ईश्वर से नहीं बल्कि अपने से प्रार्थना में बात करते हैं। 

इसके कारण, हम वास्तव में ईश्वर का अनुभव नहीं कर पाते हैं। संत इग्नेशियस द्वारा स्थापित इस साधना के सहारे 50 दिनों की साधना कर हम ईश्वर के लिए अपने हृदय को खोल देंगे। इसके फल-स्वरुप, हम ईश्वर से एक घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध स्थापित करने में सक्षम होंगे।

The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Mother of God. There are so many other titles attributed to her as used in the Litany. 

In the series titled, “Mary in the Bible”, Fr. C. George Mary Claret leads the viewers in the footsteps of Mary in the Bible.

“Mary in the Bible: Visitation - Learning to be a Servant of All” is the third in the series. The Visitation is narrated in the Gospel according to St. Luke (1:39-45).

Mary Visits Elizabeth

मन्दिर के विनाश की भविष्यवाणी - यह भविष्यवाणी 70 ई. को पूरी हुई जब येरुसलेम मंदिन ढा दिया गया। 

विपत्तियों का प्रारम्भ - विपत्तियों मतलब यह नहीं कि अंत आने वाला है जैसे बहुत सारे लोग कहते हैं। कोरोना के शुरुआत में भी यही कहे। लोग इसलिए भी ख्रीस्तीयों से बैर करेंगे क्योंकि वे प्रभु येसु में विश्वास करते हैं। क्योंकि स्वयं प्रभु ने ही कहा है, "मेरे नाम के कारण सब लोग तुम से बैर करेंगे, किन्तु जो अन्त तक धीर बना रहेगा, उसे मुक्ति मिलेगी।"

महासंकट - शायद यही है महासंकट का समय जब झूठे नबी और चमत्कार दिखाने वाले विश्वासियों को भी भटकाते हैं। क्योंकि प्रभु ने कहा है, "क्योंकि झूठे मसीह तथा झूठे नबी प्रकट होंगे और ऐसे चिह्न तथा चमत्कार दिखायेंगे कि यदि सम्भव होता, तो वे चुने हुए लोगों को भी बहकाते।"

मानव पुत्र का पुनरागमन - प्रभु का दूसरा आगमन तो निश्चित है। 

यह कब होगा? - कोई भी नहीं जनता यहाँ तक प्रभु येसु भी। लेकिन कुछ लोग अपने आपको उनसे भी बड़े मानते हैं। 

चौकसी - इसलिए, हमें हमेशा जागते रहना है - हमेश तैयार रहना है, क्योंकि अंत (संस्कार का हो या व्यक्ति का) कभी भी आ सकता है।

The Holy Name of Mary is very powerful tool of intercession and exorcism.

माँ मरियम का जन्मोत्सव मानव मुक्ति की एक अहम् और निर्णायक घटना है। माँ मरियम के जन्मोत्सव के साथ नई सृष्टि की शुरुआत होती है। 

ईश्वर, जैसे आदम और हेवा को निष्कलंक बनाये थे, वैसे ही नाज़रेत की मरियम (माँ मरियम) को भी बनाये। 

माँ मरियम के जन्मोत्सव से जुड़ी कुछ अहम् बातों को हम जानने की कोशिश इस वीडियो में करते हैं। 

1. माता-पिता - योखिम और अन्ना 

2. जन्म स्थान - नाज़रेथ

3. जन्मदिन - लिखित जानकारी नहीं है। कलीसिया दिनाँक को नहीं इस महान घटना को मानती है। 

4. निष्कलंक गर्भागमन - ईश्वर जैसे आदम और हेवा को निष्कलंक बनाये वैसे ही और उससे भी बढ़कर अपने पुत्र की माँ को विशेष बनाये। 

5. माँ मरियम के जन्म का कारण - मानव मुक्ति के लिए ही ईश्वर माँ मरियम का निर्माण किये और उनको जन्म दिए। 

6. स्वर्ग की प्रतिक्रिया - ईश्वरीय मुक्ति कार्य में माँ मरियम का जन्मोत्सव एक अहम् निर्णायक घटना है। इसलिए स्वर्ग में विशेष आनंद मनाया गया जब माँ मरियम का जन्म हुआ मानो मिशन प्रारंभ हो गया हो। 

7. माँ मरियम का जन्मदिन क्यों मानते हैं और क्यों मनाना चाहिए? - क्योंकि यह हो सादारण मनुष्य का जन्मदिन नहीं, बल्कि ईश्वर की माँ और हम हर एक की माँ का जन्मोत्सव है। इनके जन्मोत्सव मानाने के द्वारा हम उनके जमोत्सव के द्वारा ईश्वर जो कार्य संपन्न किये उनके फलों को हमें देते हैं।

The Birthday of Mother Mary is an important and decisive event of human Salvation. The New Creation begins with the birth of Mother Mary.

Just as God made Adam and Eve spotless, so did Mary (Mother Mary) of Nazareth.

In this video we try to know some important aspects related to the Birth of Mother Mary.

2. Birthplace - Nazareth

3. Birthday – There is no written information. The Church does not consider the date, but the great event is of so much important that it must be celebrated.

4. Immaculate Conception - Just as God made Adam and Eve spotless, in the same way, and above all, created the Mother of His Son very special.

5. The Reason for the Birth of Mother Mary - God created and gave birth to Mother Mary only for the sake of human salvation.

6. Response of Heaven at the Birth of Mother Mary - The Birth of Mother Mary is an important and decisive event in the Salvation History. So heaven rejoiced when Mother Mary was born as if the mission had begun.

7. Why is Mother Mary's birthday celebrated and why should it be celebrated? – Because it is not the Birthday of a simple human being, but the birthday of the Mother of God and the Mother of each of us. Through the celebration of Her Birthday, we are given the fruits of this great event.

Consuming the Son of God – the Word – within us is the call to become Christ-like. THE CALL TO BECOME CHRIST-LIKE Purpose of human life, according to God, is to become members of the Divine Family of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is holy and only anyone holy can enter into the Family of God. To be holy is to be attached to Christ, to become a member of His Body. The Sacrament of Baptism demands from us that we become Christ-like. We have been grafted into Christ and get the life sap from Him. As St. Paul writing to the Romans says, Romans 11:17 (New International Version) “If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root,” Galatians 4:19 “My little children, for whom I am again in the pain of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.” Hebrews 12:14 “Pursue peace with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” HOW IS IT POSSIBLE Our conceiving the Son of God is possible only with the Grace of God; as Mary conceived the Word, we could also do. God chose Mary to be the Mother of His only Son. She consumed by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Proverbs 23:7 "As someone thinks within himself, so he is." Dr. Caroline Leaf says this in her book Switch On Your Brain, “As we think, we change the physical nature of our brain. As we consciously direct our thinking, we can wire out toxic patterns of thinking and replace them with healthy thoughts.” In essence, she says, science is proving free will and relationship between thoughts and reality. Romans 12:2 "Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.” The powerful effects of prayer and meditation have been well-documented in recent years, again confirming what Christians should already know. Capturing your thoughts requires stillness, and many Christians have no time. And as long as we have no time for prayer, our thoughts, emotions, and feelings will continue calling the shots. बुरा उदाहरण - प्रलोभन पाप का द्वार कहा जा सकता है। हम जाने अनजाने में एक दूसरे के लिए पाप का कारण बन जाते हैं। दूसरों के गुस्सा का कारण बनना भी तो पाप है। प्रलोभन का कारण केवल कर्म से ही नहीं सोच, हावभाव, पहनाव से भी हो सकता है।

क्षमाशीलता - क्षमा बोलना आसान है, लेकिन करना बहुत ही कठिन। क्षमाशीलता एक ईश्वरीय गुण और कार्य भी है। हम वचन में पढ़ते हैं कि केवल ईश्वर पाप-क्षमा कर सकता है। और वही ईश्वर हम से चाहता है कि हम भी उनके समान ईश्वरीय, अर्थात क्षमाशील बनें।

विश्वास - विश्वास ईश्वर का वरदान है। ईश्वर ही हमें यह वरदान दे सकते हैं। इसलिए शिष्यों ने प्रभु से अपने विश्वास को बढ़ाने की मांग की। लेकिन प्रभु एक महत्वपूर्ण बात को उन्हें समझाये। उन में विश्वास ही नहीं था। क्या हम में विश्वास है?

विनम्रता - हम चाहते हैं कि लोग हमारे कार्यों के लिए हमारी प्रशंसा करें। लेकिन प्रभु कहते हैं कि सबकुछ करने के बाद यह कहना है की "मैं तो सेवक मात्र ही हूँ"।

दस कोढ़ी - दस कोढ़ियों में से नौ यहूदी थे और एक गैर-यहूदी। प्रभु सबको चंगा करते हैं। यहूदी नियम का पालन करते हुए मंदिर गए, लेकिन वह गैर-यहूदी प्रभु के पास धन्यवाद देने आता है। और प्रभु उसको विश्वास का वरदान देकर घर भेजते हैं। चंगाई विश्वास का कारण बनना चाहिए। इनमें से हम किसके समान हैं?

ईश्वर के राज्य का आगमन - राज्य कहने से हमें इस दुनिया के राजा और उनके राज्य याद आते हैं। लेकिन प्रभु कहते हैं कि ईश्वर प्रकट रूप से नहीं आते हैं। हमें उनकी भाषा समझने की जरुरत है। और प्रभु कहते हैं कि वे हमारे बीच में हैं।

प्रभु का पुनरागमन - प्रभु के महिमापूर्ण दूसरे आगमन के समय सबकुछ बदल जायेगा। हमें अपने आपको बचाने की कोशिश नहीं करने का सलाह प्रभु देते हैं। हमें अपने बारे में नहीं बल्कि ईश्वर और उनके राज्य के बारे में चिंता करने की शिक्षा प्रभु हमें देते हैं।

Biblical Guide to Life #47: God became man [flesh] because He loves YOU (Origen of Alexandria)

God is in love with YOU and me.

That love of God brought Him like YOU and me.

Because love has the power to do so, as St. Clare says,

"We become what we love and who we love shapes what we become."

There were so many heresies in the Early Church and most of them were on the Most Holy Trinity and Incarnation.

Origen of Alexandria (185-254) is considered to be the greatest Greek Father.

His teachings and writings helped the Church to deal with the heresies.

He said,

"Although Christ was God, he took flesh; and having been made man, he remained what he was, God."

The Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity took flesh from the Blessed Virgin Mary and became man.

He is the Divine Person. By assuming human nature, He, the Second Divine Person has both the natures - divine and human.

He is fully divine and fully human.

To understand this great Mystery, let's take the help of St. John.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth." (John 1:1,14).

The Word, Who is the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity, became flesh.

But, what is the reason behind His becoming man?

The reason is HIS unconditional love for YOU and me.

As St. Clare said, love makes the lover become like the beloved.

That is the intensity of the love God has for YOU and me!

Let's acknowledge His love, accept it and let ourselves be loved by the Word Incarnate!

Let's take the risk!

Christ the King the Biblical Background by Fr. George Mary Claret (Bible Study)

Jesus Christ is the King. 

It is very important to understand this fact biblically.

Thus the Israelites for their own doom demanded and got a king over them beginning from Saul, David, and Solomon who ruled the undivided Israel till 916 B.C when the Kingdom was divided South as Judah and North as Israel between Rehoboam the son of Solomon and Jeroboam son of Nebat respectively (1 Kings 12-13). Israel, the Northern kingdom was destroyed by the Assyrians in 722 BC (2 Kings 17) and Judah, the Southern kingdom in 587 by the Babylonians (2 Kings 25).

The Jews were under one or the other empire after the division in 916 BC and they wanted freedom from the clutches of the foreign kings. During the exile and after that the prophets foretold of the Messiah who would be a seed of David. It was because of the covenant of Yahweh with David. Yahweh promised David through the prophet Nathan, “When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come forth from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.” (2 Samuel 7,12-13).

Assumption & Meaning of True Freedom & Jesus gives it (John 8:34-36)

The assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and real Freedom are interconnected.

We cannot think of human salvation without the Assumption.

The Assumption is the fulfillment and the culmination of salvation.

It reveals God's plan for you and me!

We are made for this world.

God created us for eternity, to share His very life, glory, and nature!

We are facing a war-like situation on this earth.

We end up doing what we don't want to do as St. Paul says,

मैं अपना ही आचरण नहीं समझता हूँ, क्योंकि मैं जो करना चाहता हूँ, वह नहीं बल्कि वही करता हूँ, जिससे मैं घृणा करता हूँ।

(रोमियों 7:15)

"I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate." (Romans 7:15)

Who can save us from this whirlpool?

Jesus says,

ईसा ने उन से कहा, "मै तुम से यह कहता हूँ - जो पाप करता है, वह पाप का दास है।

35) दास सदा घर में नहीं रहता, पुत्र सदा रहता है।

36) इसलिए यदि पुत्र तुम्हें स्वतन्त्र बना देगा, तो तुम सचमुच स्वतन्त्र होगे। (सन्त योहन 8:34-36)

“Very truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not have a permanent place in the household; the son has a place there forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:34-36)

Do you want real freedom, the freedom of the Children of God?

Only the Son can give that.

Jesus is the Son who has the right over everything.

He is ready to share everything He IS and HAS with YOU and me!

What are you waiting for?

God to Jesus and experience the real freedom of being a child of God!

Biblical Guide to Life #54: What is true love? [St. Mother Theresa] John 3:16 (Fr. George Mary Claret)

Love is one of the most misunderstood and misused terms.

Love is taken to be merely a feeling.

It is reduced to be between romantic couples.

If someone (other than your family members) tells you, "I love you", what would be your reaction?

But, true love is much more than merely saying 'I love you'.

According to St. Mother Theresa of Kolkatta (1910-1997),

"Intense love does not measure, it just gives."

Real love is all about giving and giving oneself without measuring. 

It is a dangerous game!

St. Mother Theresa learned to love from the Eucharistic Lord.

She used to spend an hour in Eucharistic Adoration.

That was her Power House.

As St. John, the Beloved Disciple, says,

"We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19)

"God is love" (1John 4:8)

Separation from God is death.

Being separated from God, we have no idea about 'What is true love?'

The primary thing and foundation to love is to have been loved by God FIRST.

St. Mother Theresa spent that ONE Hour with the Lord and let herself be loved by the Lord.

Because she had personalised what Jesus said in John 3:16:

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life."

We don't let ourselves be loved by God, and at times by NO ONE for that matter.

Do you realise the applications of the above statement of Jesus?

Let's spend time in front of the Eucharistic Lord and let ourselves be loved by Him enough.

Then we will be enabled to love as He loves us.

Do you want to love?

In other words, do you want to be in the image and likeness of God (cf. Genesis 1:26-27)?

भावी महिमा

18) मैं समझता हूँ कि हम में जो महिमा प्रकट होने को है, उसकी तुलना में इस समय का दुःख नगण्य है;

19) क्योंकि समस्त सृष्टि उत्कण्ठा से उस दिन की प्रतीक्षा कर रही है, जब ईश्वर के पुत्र प्रकट हो जायेंगे।

20) यह सृष्टि तो इस संसार की असारता के अधीन हो गयी है-अपनी इच्छा से नहीं, बल्कि उसकी इच्छा से, जिसने उसे अधीन बनाया है- किन्तु यह आशा भी बनी रही

21) कि वह असारता की दासता से मुक्त हो जायेगी और ईश्वर की सन्तान की महिमामय स्वतन्त्रता की सहभागी बनेगी।

22) हम जानते हैं कि समस्त सृष्टि अब तक मानो प्रसव-पीड़ा में कराहती रही है और सृष्टि ही नहीं, हम भी भीतर-ही-भीतर कराहते हैं।

23) हमें तो पवित्र आत्मा के पहले कृपा-दान मिल चुके हैं, लेकिन इस ईश्वर की सन्तान बनने की और अपने शरीर की मुक्ति की राह देख रहे हैं।

24) हमारी मुक्ति अब तक आशा का ही विषय है। यदि कोई वह बात देखता है, जिसकी वह आशा करता है, तो यह आशा नहीं कही जा सकती।

25) हम उसकी आशा करते हैं, जिसे हम अब तक नहीं देख सके हैं। इसलिए हमें धैर्य के साथ उसकी प्रतीक्षा करनी पड़ती है।

26) आत्मा भी हमारी दुर्बलता में हमारी सहायता करता है। हम यह नहीं जानते कि हमें कैसे प्रार्थना करनी चाहिए, किन्तु हमारी अस्पष्ट आहों द्वारा आत्मा स्वयं हमारे लिए विनती करता है।

27) ईश्वर हमारे हृदय का रहस्य जानता है। वह समझाता है कि आत्मा क्या कहता है, क्योंकि आत्मा ईश्वर के इच्छानुसार सन्तों के लिए विनती करता है।

28) हम जानते हैं कि जो लोग ईश्वर को प्यार करते हैं और उसके विधान के अनुसार बुलाये गये हैं, ईश्वर उनके कल्याण के लिए सभी बातों में उनकी सहायता करता है;

29) क्योंकि ईश्पर ने निश्चित किया कि जिन्हें उसने पहले से अपना समझा, वे उसके पुत्र के प्रतिरूप बनाये जायेंगे, जिससे उसका पुत्र इस प्रकार बहुत-से भाइयों का पहलौठा हो।

30) उसने जिन्हें पहले से निश्चित किया, उन्हें बुलाया भी है: जिन्हें बुलाया, उन्हें पाप से मुक्त भी किया है और जिन्हें पाप से मुक्त किया, उन्हें महिमान्वित भी किया है।

प्रभु ईसा मसीह का अनुग्रह, ईश्वर का प्रेम तथा पवित्र आत्मा की सहभागिता आप सब को प्राप्त हो!

उसी ने आप लोगों को अपने पुत्र हमारे प्रभु ईसा मसीह के सहभागी बनने के लिए बुलाया।

मनन चिंतनः

1. क्या आप आपके लिए ईश्वर की योजना स्वीकार करना चाहते हैं?

2. क्या आप आपके लिए ईश्वर की योजना जानना चाहते हैं?

3. यदि ईश्वर आपको अपने बेटा बनाना चाहते हैं, तो क्या आप खुषी से स्वीकार करेंगे?

अब देरी किस लिए! ईश्वर आपको अपना बेटा बना लिए हैं! अब अपको इसे अपनाने का समय है!

Biblical Guide to Life #31: God alone is sufficient (St. Teresa of Avila)| Desire is the root of all suffering

Humans strive after so many things, only to realise they were NOT as important as we considered!

The wisest King, Solomon, owned everything he could think about.

But, what is the result?

He was NOT satisfied!

Then, what is the cure?

St. Teresa of Avila too was of that mind until she experienced something different.

She proclaimed,

"Let nothing frighten you

Though all things pass

God does not change

Patience wins all things.

He lacks nothing

Who possesses God

For God alone is SUFFICIENT."

Can we take her words seriously?

Or, do we have to try it for ourselves?

After his experiment with everything he could think about, King Solomon has this to say,

Vanity of vanities, says the Teacher,
   vanity of vanities! All is vanity…

I saw all the deeds that are done under the sun;

and see, all is vanity and a chasing after wind." (Ecclesiastes 1:2, 14)

पाँचवाँ दिन - आदम हेवा

  रोमियों के नाम सन्त पौलुस का पत्र 5:12

" एक ही मनुष्य द्वारा संसार में पाप का प्रवेश हुआ और पाप द्वारा मृत्यु का। इस प्रकार मृत्यु सब मनुष्यों में फैल गयी, क्योंकि सब पापी है।"

उत्पत्ति ग्रन्थ 3:1-20 

1) ईश्वर ने जिन जंगली जीव-जन्तुओं को बनाया था, उन में साँप सब से धूर्त था। उसने स्त्री से कहा, ''क्या ईश्वर ने सचमुच तुम को मना किया कि वाटिका के किसी वृक्ष का फल मत खाना''? 2) स्त्री ने साँप को उत्तर दिया, ''हम वाटिका के वृक्षों के फल खा सकते हैं। 3) परन्तु वाटिका के बीचोंबीच वाले वृक्ष के फलों के विषय में ईश्वर ने यह कहा - तुम उन्हें नहीं खाना। उनका स्पर्श तक नहीं करना, नहीं तो मर जाओगे।'' 4) साँप ने स्त्री से कहा, ''नहीं! तुम नहीं मरोगी।'' 5) ईश्वर जानता है कि यदि तुम उस वृक्ष का फल खाओगे, तो तुम्हारी आँखें खुल जायेंगी। तुम्हें भले-बुरे का ज्ञान हो जायेगा और इस प्रकार तुम ईश्वर के सदृश बन जाओगे। 6) अब स्त्री को लगा कि उस वृक्ष का फल स्वादिष्ट है, वह देखने में सुन्दर है और जब उसके द्वारा ज्ञान प्राप्त होता है, तो वह कितना लुभावना है! इसलिए उसने फल तोड़ कर खाया। उसने पास खड़े अपने पति को भी उस में से दिया और उसने भी खा लिया। 7) तब दोनों की आँखें खुल गयीं और उन्हें पता चला कि वे नंगे हैं। इसलिए उन्होंने अंजीर के पत्ते जोड़-जोड़ कर अपने लिए लंगोट बना लिये। 8) जब दिन की हवा चलने लगी, तो पुरुष और उसकी पत्नी को वाटिका में टहलते हुए प्रभु-ईश्वर की आवाज सुनाई पड़ी और वे वाटिका के वृक्षों में प्रभु-ईश्वर से छिप गये। 9) प्रभु-ईश्वर ने आदम से पुकार कर कहा, ''तुम कहाँ हो?'' 10) उसने उत्तर दिया, ''मैं बगीचे में तेरी आवाज सुन कर डर गया, क्योंकि में नंगा हूँ और मैं छिप गया''। 11) प्रभु ने कहा, ''किसने तुम्हें बताया कि तुम नंगे हो? क्या तुमने उस वृक्ष का फल खाया, जिस को खाने से मैंने तुम्हें मना किया था?'' 12) मनुष्य ने उत्तर दिया, ''मेरे साथ रहने कि लिए जिस स्त्री को तूने दिया, उसी ने मुझे फल दिया और मैंने खा लिया''। 13) प्रभु-ईश्वर ने स्त्री से कहा, ''तुमने क्या किया है?'' और उसने उत्तर दिया, ''साँप ने मुझे बहका दिया और मैंने खा लिया''। 14) तब ईश्वर ने साँप से कहा, ''चूँकि तूने यह किया है, तू सब घरेलू तथा जंगली जानवरों में शापित होगा। तू पेट के बल चलेगा और जीवन भर मिट्टी खायेगा। 15) मैं तेरे और स्त्री के बीच, तेरे वंश और उसके वंश में शत्रुता उत्पन्न करूँगा। वह तेरा सिर कुचल देगा और तू उसकी एड़ी काटेगा''। 16) उसने स्त्री से यह कहा, ''मैं तुम्हारी गर्भावस्था का कष्ट बढ़ाऊँगा और तुम पीड़ा में सन्तान को जन्म दोगी। तुम वासना के कारण पति में आसक्त होगी और वह तुम पर शासन करेगा''। 17) उसने आदम से कहा, ''चूँकि तुमने अपनी पत्नी की बात मानी और उस वृक्ष का फल खाया है, जिस को खाने से मैंने तुम को मना किया था, भूमि तुम्हारे कारण शापित होगी। तुम जीवन भर कठोर परिश्रम करते हुए उस से अपनी जीविका चलाओगे। 18) वह काँटे और ऊँट-कटारे पैदा करेगी और तुम खेत के पौधे खाओगे। 19) तुम तब तक पसीना बहा कर अपनी रोटी खाओगे, जब तक तुम उस भूमि में नहीं लौटोगे, जिस से तुम बनाये गये हो क्योंकि तुम मिट्टी हो और मिट्टी में मिल जाओगे''। 20) पुरुष ने अपनी पत्नी का नाम 'हेवा' रखा, क्योंकि वह सभी मानव प्राणियों की माता है।

Have you ever been to a Convent of Missionaries of Charity Sisters (St. Mother Theresa's Congregation)?

There's a statement on the walls of the chapels.

"I thirst" (John 19:28).

It is written following the direction of St. Mother Theresa.

God has a passionate love for you and me.

It was that passionate love that brought Him to our level.

Jesus, the God-Man, thirsts for YOU!

Do you know where He is kept standing?

Jesus says,

"Listen!

I am standing at the door, knocking;

if you hear my voice and open the door,

I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me" (Revelation 3:20).

St. Mother Theresa heard Jesus telling her this statement, "I thirst".

She wrote a letter based on that revelation.

संत योहन रचित सुसमाचार में प्रभु येसु, माँ मरियम और अन्य लोगों के लिए प्रयोग किये गए शब्द बहुत ही मायने रखते हैं। संत योहन रचित सुसमाचार चिन्हों से भरा है जैसे प्रकाशना ग्रन्थ। 

संत योहन रचित सुसमाचार अध्याय 02 में भी ऐसे "नाम" और चिन्ह हैं। इसलिए इन्हें ध्यान से पढ़िए। 

काना में विवाह - जैसे पिछले अध्याय में हमने देखा कि संत योहन नयी सृष्टि का वर्णन करते हैं। योहन अध्याय 01 और 02 को उत्पत्ति ग्रन्थ अध्याय 01 और 02 के साथ मिलान करके हमें पढ़ने की जरुरत है। 

हम हाल ही में ही संत योहन रचित सुसमाचार के अध्याय 01 और अध्याय 02 से सम्बंधित एक वीडियो बनाये हैं। उसको इस अध्याय पढ़ने से पहले जरूर देखिये।

इस वीडियो में अध्याय 02 में "तीसरे दिन" का जो वर्णन है, वास्तव में वह "सातवाँ दिन" है। अध्याय 01 में "दूसरे दिन" को गिनती करने से हमें पता चलता थे। 

इन बातों को और काना के विवाह का महत्त्व, "भद्रे" शब्द कर अर्थ और उसका अभिप्राय और भी बातों को जानने कृपया ऊपर दिया हुआ वीडियो देखिये। 

मन्दिर में बिक्री करने वालों का निष्कासन - अन्य तीनों सुसमाचारों में प्रभु येसु का एक ही बार येरूसालेम जाने का वर्णन है जबकि संत योहन रचित सुसमाचार में तीन या चार बार। प्रभु येसु येरूसालेम मंदिर को शुद्ध करते हैं। इसका कारण प्रभु कहते हैं, "मेरे पिता के घर को बाजार मत बनाओ।" 

यहूदियों की चुनौती - बहुत सालों से चल रहने वाले बिक्री कार्यों को रोकने का अधिकार प्रभु येसु को कहाँ मिला? यही चुनौती यहूदी प्रभु को देते हैं। और प्रभु कहते हैं, "इस मन्दिर को ढा दो और मैं इसे तीन दिनों के अन्दर फिर खड़ा कर दूँगा"। 

इस अध्याय में और इस पूरे पुस्तक में बहुत सारे चिन्ह, संकेतों और बहुअर्थी शब्दों का उपयोग है। इसलिए पुस्तक को प्रार्थना के साथ ध्यान से पढ़िए।

The best teacher is one with experience as "experience is the best teacher".

Jesus is the best teacher in every aspect, especially to teach anyone to pray.

Jesus, the God-Man, being fully God and fully man knows both the heart of God and humans.

There are so many good examples of prayer and praying in the Holy Bible.

Jesus taught to pray with many examples. One of these is The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector (Luke 18:9-14).

हर व्यक्ति चाहता है कि वह ईश्वर से एक घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध स्थापित कर दे। लेकिन हम अधिक्तर ईश्वर से नहीं बल्कि अपने से प्रार्थना में बात करते हैं। 

इसके कारण, हम वास्तव में ईश्वर का अनुभव नहीं कर पाते हैं। संत इग्नेशियस द्वारा स्थापित इस साधना के सहारे 50 दिनों की साधना कर हम ईश्वर के लिए अपने हृदय को खोल देंगे। इसके फल-स्वरुप, हम ईश्वर से एक घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध स्थापित करने में सक्षम होंगे।

The message of The Divine Mercy is simple. It is that

God loves us – all of us.

And, He wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins,

so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy,

Mercy – NOT giving what we deserve

Grace – Giving what we DON’T deserve

Corpus Christi Homily - Meaning, Importance | Passover, Covenant | Solemnity of Holy Eucharist

The Holy Eucharist is the only Sacrament having a Feast for it. Though the Church celebrates the Foundation of the Holy Eucharist on Maundy Thursday, it has a special day to celebrate the Mysteries, by a special Feast, formerly known "Corpus Christi". No other Sacrament has a feast. 

The Solemnity of Corpus Christi has different themes. Cycle A invites us to reflect on the theme -  The Eucharist as our food and drink. Cycle B emphasises the Eucharist as the sign of the covenant. And Cycle C focus is on the Priesthood of Jesus.

The Holy Eucharist is the Heart of the Church.

The Holy Eucharist is "the Source and Summit of Christian Life" ( CCC 1324).

The entire life of Jesus is celebrated and made present by God the Father through the Power of the Holy Spirit.

It’s made present by the Father, through the Holy Spirt as it happened at the Incarnation – the Word became flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit.

संत लूकस रचित सुसमाचार अध्याय 08 में दृष्टान्तों, चमत्कारों, और शिक्षाओं का मिश्रण है। इस अध्याय के महत्वपूर्ण बातें इस प्रकार हैं :-

पवित्र नारियों की सेवा-परिचर्या- संत लूकस, एक गैर-यहूदी होने के कारण, अपने सुसमाचार में नारियों को भी विशेष स्थान दिए हैं।

बोने वाले का दृष्टान्त - दृष्टान्त दोधारी तलवार के समान हमेशा नया रहता है। सुनने वाले को जरूर प्रेरित करता है - सकारात्मक या नकारात्मक।

दृष्टान्तों का उद्देश्य- कुछ छुपाने और कुछ बताने।

बोने वाले के दृष्टान्त की वाख्या - प्रभु येसु में विश्वास करने का लाभ स्वर्गराज्य के रहस्यों को जानना है। प्रभु अपने शिष्यों को मित्र कहे थे, क्योंकि वे सभी बातों को उन प्रकट करते थे।

दीपक का दृष्टान्त- सबकुछ ईश्वर के लिए खुली-किताब के समान हैं। कुछ भी उन से छुपा नहीं है।

ईसा के सम्बन्धी- पिता के वचन के अनुसार जीने वाले ही प्रभु येसु के भाई, बहन और माता हैं। इस वचन को लोग माँ मरियम के विरुद्ध प्रयोग करते हैं जो कि पूर्ण रूप से गलत है। यहाँ प्रभु येसु अपनी माँ को और ऊपर उठा रहे हैं। धन्य कुँवारी मरियम इसलिए केवल प्रभु की माँ नहीं हैं कि उनहोंने प्रभु को जन्म दिया, इसलिए भी हैं क्योंकि उनसे बेहतर और कोई भी ईश्वर के वचन के अनुसार नहीं जी सके हैं और न कभी कोई जी पायेगा।

आँधी को शान्त करना - प्रकृति पर ईश्वर को छोड़ किसी का भी अधिकार नहीं है। इसलिए लोग प्रकृति को ईश्वर का दर्जा दिए। इस चमत्कार के द्वारा प्रभु अपनी वास्तविकता को अपने शिष्यों पर प्रकट किये।

गेरासा का अपदूतग्रस्त- बहुत दिनों से अपदूतों से ग्रसित व्यक्ति को, जो कपडा भी नहीं पहनता और मकबरों में रहा करता था, प्रभु येसु स्वतंत्र किये। उस व्यक्ति के लिए यह एक नया जन्म था। लेकिन उस शहर के लोग नहीं चाहे कि प्रभु येसु उनके यहाँ रहें। यहाँ प्रभु हैं वहाँ शैतान नहीं रह सकता। वे इतना कीमत नहीं देना चाहते थे। क्या हम भी ऐसे ही हैं?

जैरुस की बेटी और रक्तस्राव-पीडिता - यहाँ दो घटनाओं को एक साथ रखा गया है। प्रभु एक बारह बरस की लड़की को चंगा करने जाते हैं और उस मार्ग में और एक चमत्कार हो जाता है। वास्तव में यह चमत्कार प्रभु का नहीं है, पर उस रक्तस्रावपीड़िता का विश्वास का चमत्कार है। वह इस वरदान को चुरा लेती है।

जैरुस की बेटी को पभु मरने देते हैं, ताकि वे अपनी शक्ति प्रकट कर सकें। बारह बरस की लड़की को जिलाकर प्रभु अपनी ईश्वरीय शक्ति को प्रकट करते हैं।

Day 35 | चालीसा काल विशेष | 50 दिनों की साधना by Fr. George Mary Claret | Lent 2023

हर व्यक्ति चाहता है कि वह ईश्वर से एक घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध स्थापित कर दे। लेकिन हम अधिक्तर ईश्वर से नहीं बल्कि अपने से प्रार्थना में बात करते हैं।

इसके कारण, हम वास्तव में ईश्वर का अनुभव नहीं कर पाते हैं। संत इग्नेशियस द्वारा स्थापित इस साधना के सहारे 50 दिनों की साधना कर हम ईश्वर के लिए अपने हृदय को खोल देंगे। इसके फल-स्वरुप, हम ईश्वर से एक घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध स्थापित करने में सक्षम होंगे।

50 दिनों की इस साधना के पैंतीसवाँ दिन सन्त मत्ती का सुसमाचार 25:31-46 पर आधारित है।

हर दिन सुबह 06:00 बजे प्रकाशित किया जायेगा।

Homily for the Third Sunday of Easter (Year B) | पास्का का तीसरा इतवार

Saint Augustine once observed, “The New Testament lies hidden in the Old and the Old Testament is unveiled in the New.”  

Jesus appeared to the Disciples during the 40 Days, He was in the world after His Resurrection. 

This is like the 40 years of Journey of the Israelites who failed to believe in God. 

Jesus taught them to believe.   

Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. You are witnesses of these things.

1st Reading - Acts 3:13-15, 17-19 

Responsorial Psalm - Psalms 4:2, 4, 7-8, 9 

2nd Reading - 1 John 2:1-5A

Faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.  

To call on God – Faith To believe – hearing the Word  To hear – someone sent to proclaim 

To proclaim – someone is sent 

Who is sent? – One is has believed and witnessed – one who has faith
