When Jimi Hendrix lived at 23 Brook Street in Mayfair, London, he experienced the ghostly vision of the composer George Handel who lived next door at 25 Brook Street. Years later in 2001, a museum tpo Handel was about to open when members of the Handel House Trust saw the apparition of a woman.

Sudeley Castle has a history that spans around 2000 years, with Roman, Anglo Saxon and medieval settlements found around the area.

I found this story a few months ago. It was written by James Mills Woodward who was a local artist and amateur archaeologist in the town of Redditch in Worcestershire, England. The story was published by the Redditch Indicator in weekly articles at Christmas in 1887. It was then republished in 1924. So 100 years later, I'll be releasing the story in its modern form a podcast.

The battle of Edgehill was the 1st major battle of the English Civil War which took place in Warwickshire in 1642. On Christmas Eve of that same year, a group of shepherd's witnessed the ghosts from the battle, re-enacted that day. This is the only English haunting that has been recorded as legitimate.
