On a very special episode of Gamer Friends, AudioNerd64 and Big Nkrumah kick off the show Logging On with a discussion about Thanos in Fortnite, the fate of Radical Heights, a new SuperHot, Microsoft’s adaptive controller, Halo coming to arcade, Black Ops 4, and the now-infamous E3 leak.

Next, the guys chat about Deadpool 2, Solo, a potential Ms. Marvel movie, and AudioNerd stays true to his namesake and helps explain why you’re hearing “Yanni,” “Laurel,” or both. These Past Two Weeks in Nerdom have been a doozy, with news that Billy Dee Williams will be returning to Star Wars’ to-be-named ninth installment, Black Widow’s solo movie snagging a director, and more praise for Cloak and Dagger. The boys have struggled through more of Luke Cage, but spend a lot more time thinking about the future of Steven Universe. Finally, Big Nick walks through his jumbled Ant-Man and the Wasp theory for Avengers 4 and makes a bold prediction for the future of the MCU.

On a very special episode of Gamer Friends, we’re taking you deep into some of the games on display at the Game Developers of Color Expo in our second narrative segment. But before we get to of the incredible games we played there, we’re Logging On with No Man’s Sky’s arrival on Xbox, Microsoft’s XCloud, Twitch’s new Creator Camp, Dungeons and Dragons, and Destiny 2.

These Past Two Weeks in Nerdom have been all about the revelations at San Diego Comic-Con, specifically the oodles of DC properties news, including the new Aquaman and Shazam trailers, Birds of Prey, Titans, Young Justice’s long-awaited return, and CW’s ever-confusing universe decisions. Gamer Friends are taking it easy this episode on a light news week, “Logging On” with an update on the disastrous fallout from Bethesda’s Fallout 76 (sue us), Battlefield V’s struggling sales, Red Dead Online’s debut, and some upcoming expansions for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and Destiny 2.

:These Past Two Weeks in Nerdom,” we are shocked and dismayed to hear of Daredevil’s cancelation at Netflix (and we’re still not done with season three), and in more frustrating news, Black Lightning showrunner and Neil DeGrasse Tyson deal with sexual misconduct allegations. We do have some good news in early reviews of Into the Spider-Verse, as well as promising trailers for Runaways S2 and Young Justice: Outsiders.

Finally, we’re revisiting Detroit: Become Human in “Party Chat” and celebrate Big Nkrumah’s new Playstation 4. We also make sure to at least run through the games we’re playing as well, although it’s a pretty familiar list.

“These Past Two Weeks in Nerdom,” AudioNerd still sucks and hasn’t watched any DC content, but he’s excited to hear about the newly announced Aquaman spinoff and sequel. In Marvel news, we got some new footage from Endgame and Captain Marvel, but we won’t be looking at it. Instead, we’ll focus on the upcoming Marvel animated series, Disney’s decision to put current Foxprojects on ice, and finally, RIP Mr. Oreo.

Last but not least, new updates have us returning to old favorites on “The Homescreen.” Destiny 2’s Season of Opulence just launched with a hugely entertaining new game mode reminiscent of Mario Party, while recent and upcoming changes to The Division 2 and Apex Legends have Big Nkrumah’s heart fluttering.

Finally, on “The Homescreen,” we’ve played the Outriders Demo! And it’s pretty good! Also, Destiny 2 is the gift that keeps on giving (unless you’re AudioNerd, in which case it’s a curse).
