Masters Champion Craig Stadler recounts his formative years growing up in Southern California and learning the game at La Jolla Country Club. His game developed quickly at USC during which time he won the U.S. Amateur at Inverness in 1973. He fondly recalls his 1975 Walker Cup experience at the Old Course where teammate Jerry Pate created the moniker that would stick forever, "Walrus".  Craig recalls the work he put in to develop his left-to-right ball flight and the anxiousness of his first Masters, at age 20, paired with Jack Nicklaus in the opening round. Major championship winner Craig Stadler looks back on his early victories on the PGA Tour including his first at the 1980 Bob Hope Desert Classic. He had a career year in 1982 when he won 4 times and was the Tour's leading money winner but the highlight was his triumph in the Masters Tournament besting Dan Pohl in a playoff on the first (10th) hole after watching his 6-shot lead at the turn on Sunday dwindle away to nothing. His playoff win over Raymond Floyd at the World Series of Golf and prevailing at the Byron Nelson Golf Classic rounded out a superb and memorable year. Craig Stadler fondly recalls his early wins, "FORE the Good of the Game."

The winner of the 1978 PGA Championship at Oakmont, John Mahaffey, begins his story by recalling life as a young man growing up in Texas and learning the game the way most Texans did, in the dirt and the wind. He recounts his collegiate career playing for Coach Dave Williams at the University of Houston, winning team and individual NCAA titles before heading off to Champions Golf Club to work for Jackie Burke and Jimmy Demaret and hone his game. Later introduced to Ben Hogan, John was the first professional signed on to represent Mr. Hogan's company. Mr. Hogan sent him to Canada to learn how to play for money before sending him off to Tour Qualifying School in 1971. John Mahaffey tells us his early story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

World Golf Hall of Fame member Davis Love III shares his boyhood memories of learning the game under the watchful and loving eye of his father, famed teacher, Davis Love, Jr., his college days at the University of North Carolina and his amateur successes including his selection to the 1985 Walker Cup team that prevailed at Pine Valley GC. Davis recalls his first Tour win at Harbour Town in 1987 (4 more wins there to follow), the loss of his father in a tragic plane crash, his first Tournament Players Championship win in 1992 and teaming with Fred Couples to capture a record four consecutive World Cup titles. Ian Baker-Finch, winner of 17 professional events during his golfing career, recounts his win in the 1991 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale where he shot 64-66 on the weekend that featured an opening nine of 29 in the final round to win by two strokes. He recalls the team competitions he was a part of as a player and captain/coach including the 2021 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, representing Australia. Ian reflects back on the decline in his game caused by a loss of confidence and he and Bruce Devlin conclude by discussing what equipment changes golf's governing bodies may need to make, "FORE the Good of the Game."

World Golf Hall of Fame member Sir Bob Charles begins his story with his life in New Zealand, learning the game of golf on his own as a young lad. He recalls the discipline instilled in him by his schoolmaster father, his days working as a bank teller and his early successes as an amateur. He and Bruce Devlin recall their experiences at the inaugural Eisenhower Trophy team matches at the Old Course in 1958 and their memories of Bobby Jones , the U.S. side's Honorary Captain. Bob emotionally recalls  befriending Gary Player and Gary's late wife Vivienne and remembers Ben Hogan, in his fifties, playing the finest round of golf he has ever witnessed, at Oakland Hills. Major Championship winner Mark Brooks recalls being introduced to golf by his grandfather and  his first golf experiences playing on a 6-hole sand green course in rural Oklahoma. He looks back on his collegiate career at the University of Texas where he was a 3-time All-American and remembers the difficulties of making it on the Tour and staying on the Tour as he went in and out of Tour Qualifying Schools throughout the 1980's. Mark relates an unconventional technique used by Harvey Penick during one memorable lesson. He must have learned something useful as Mark holds the record for most starts on the PGA Tour with 803. Mark Brooks tees up his life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

1966 PGA Championship winner  AKA "Mr. 59" Al Geiberger begins his life story learning the game on a hard scrabble nine-hole course in Sacramento, California, and playing high school golf in Santa Barbara with soon-to-be-famous teammate, Charles Schwab. Al was team captain at USC playing for the legendary coach, Stan Wood, playing in the L.A. Open three times while in college, ultimately finishing 5th while a senior and beating Arnold Palmer. He remembers turning pro at age 22 and recounts his early wins including the 1965 American Golf Classic at Firestone where he became famous for his mid-round PB&J sandwiches. Al Geiberger fondly recalls his younger days, "FORE the Good of the Game."

World Golf Hall of Fame member Larry Nelson looks back on his three major championship wins and a few of the near misses. He begins by recounting his hometown win at the 1981 PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club sporting the iconic Amana hat for which players were paid $100 per week to wear. Larry then bested Seve Ballesteros and Tom Watson at the 1983 U.S. Open at Oakmont CC shooting 65-67 on the weekend to set a U.S. Open final 36-hole scoring record which has yet to be equalled, hitting all 18 greens in the final round. He won the PGA again at PGA National in 1987 besting Lanny Wadkins in a playoff while overcoming tough weather and course conditions. Larry Nelson wraps up this segment by recalling where he would take his one career mulligan, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Major championship winner Bobby Nichols tells us about learning the game, as a young man in Louisville, Kentucky, while caddying for $1.00 a loop. Hoping to be the next Johnny Unitas playing high school football, Bobby was in a horrific auto crash that put him in the hospital for 96 days. With the help of an inspirational letter from Ben Hogan, he not only survived but was awarded a college football scholarship by Bear Bryant to attend Texas A&M University. With no ability to continue in contact sports, Bobby played college golf there before turning professional in 1960. Bobby Nichols shares his early days, "FORE the Good of the Game."

World Golf Hall of Fame member Sandy Lyle begins his story remembering his days as a young lad growing up and learning the game under the watchful eye of his golf pro father in the West Midlands of England. He recounts his many early successes as a young amateur including his participation in the 1977 Walker Cup. Turning pro at age 19, Sandy had his first win on the European Tour a year later on sand greens at the 1978 Nigerian Open. World Golf Hall of Fame member and two-time winner of the Masters Tournament, Bernhard Langer joins us to begin his life story in golf as a young man in the Bavarian region of Germany. Bernhard recounts his days as an "Eagle Eye" caddie who turned professional at the ripe old age of 15 at Munich CC where he played in an exhibition with Jack Nicklaus and then met Gary Player two years later at age 17. Soon he would join Ballesteros, Faldo, Woosnam and Lyle as they transformed European Golf and the Ryder Cup competition, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Sir Bob Charles, 2008 inductee into the World Golf Hall of Fame, takes us back to the start of his professional career at age 24, a career that included 80 professional wins. He recounts coming to America in 1963 to play on the PGA Tour where he picked up his first win here at the Houston Open that same year, the first by a lefty. Weeks later, Bob triumphed in the Open Championship at Lytham prevailing in a 36-hole playoff with Phil Rodgers and becoming the first Kiwi and southpaw to win a major. He and Bruce have fond memories of teaming to win the CBS Golf Classic in a 36-hole final versus Bobby Nichols and "Champagne" Tony Lema in 1964. Bob concludes this segment by recalling his win in the 1969 Piccadilly World Match Play event, this time in a sudden-death playoff with Gene "The Machine" Littler. Sir Bob Charles continuing his life story with us, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Six-time major championship winner Lee Trevino begins his story with a few hilarious tales involving him and Bruce Devlin before he takes us back to his humble upbringing in Texas. Raised by his mother and grandfather, Lee was self-taught as a golfer but undisciplined as a young man. Entering the Marine Corps at age 17 was a life-changing experience for Lee and it wasn't until age 23 that he began to take the game more seriously. He hadn't heard of Jack Nicklaus when the PGA came to the Dallas Athletic Club in 1963. Qualifying for the 1966 U.S. Open at Olympic Club provided him with an opportunity to see elite players first-hand. We finish with Lee and Bruce speaking about their good friend David Graham and the origin of his nickname, "DOG." Lee Trevino recounts his early life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Major Championship winner Jim Furyk begins his story with his recollections of growing up in Pennsylvania and developing his game under the watchful eye of his golf professional father. Encouraged to swing "naturally", Jim used his "distinctive" swing to good effect with a strong junior career and a solid collegiate record at the University of Arizona where he was a 2-time All-American and his team won the 1992 NCAA Division I title. He recounts the specific game plan he and his dad developed, after his junior year, to become a more consistent player and to position him for Tour competition. That paid off and helped Jim get through the 1993 Tour School (his second attempt) on the four and six-round cut numbers. Jim Furyk takes us through his formative years, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Winner of the 1973 Masters Tournament, Tommy Aaron, begins his story by recounting his younger days growing up in a town with no golf course and attending a high school with no golf team yet still persevering to win the Georgia State Class A High School Golf Championship. After much collegiate and amateur success, including a runner-up finish to Charlie Coe at the 1958 U.S. Amateur and playing on the winning Walker Cup team at Muirfield in 1959, Tommy turned pro in 1960 at age 23. He relates the influence Manuel de la Torre, the great teacher and Milwaukee CC professional, had on his later game and then fondly recalls his PGA Tour wins leading up to his crowning achievement in his home state. World Golf Hall of Fame member and the winningest player on any Tour ever, Kathy Whitworth, begins her remarkable story by sharing how she came to the game of golf at age 15 using her grandfather's clubs and how the local pro, Texas Golf HOF member Hardy Loudermilk, provided early guidance before sending her off to Austin, Texas to see the renowned teacher, Harry Penick. These two men shaped the game of Kathy, who turned professional in 1958 and joined the fledging LPGA Tour the following year. She recalls the tough times she endured before finally cashing a check at the Land of the Sky Open and reaching the winner's circle in 1962. Hear Kathy talk about some of the Founders of the LPGA, fascinating women with strong personalities all. With 88 LPGA wins and 95 second-place finishes, we still have a lot to cover with Kathy Whitworth, "FORE the Good of the Game."

World Golf Hall of Fame member, Laura Davies, recalls learning the game by tagging along with her brother and his friends growing up in England. Self-taught by mimicking some of the greats of the game at the time (Ballesteros, Woosnam, etc.), Laura's game developed quickly and she was selected to play in the Curtis Cup at Muirfield in 1984.  She turned pro the following year and had the first of her 87 professional wins in 1985 at the Belgian Ladies Open. Laura recounts some of her other early wins including the 1986 Women's British Open at Birkdale (before it was a major) and the 1987 U.S. Women's Open at Plainfield CC in an 18-hole playoff with two other HOFer's, JoAnne Carner and Ayako Okamoto. She concludes this segment by recalling some of the game's greats from the 1980's. Laura Davies, the winningest player ever on the Ladies European Tour, shares her memories of those early years, "FORE the Good of the Game."

U.S. Amateur winner and holder of eight PGA Tour titles, Jerry Pate recounts each of those wins including his first non-major win at the 1976 Canadian Open by four shots over Jack Nicklaus and the final one at the 1982 Tournament Players Championship, the first one played at its current home, the Pete Dye-designed TPC Stadium Course where he won with an orange ball and tossed both Dye and Commissioner Deane Beman into the pond at eighteen. Weeks later, Jerry gave Craig Stadler a run at the Masters before injuring his shoulder in May, effectively ending the career of a promising player with HOF potential. Jerry Pate looks back over his regular Tour victories and tells many great stories along the way, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Major championship winner, Mike Weir relives his last several PGA Tour wins including the 2003 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and going back-to-back at Riviera in the Nissan Open. The big one, of course, was his playoff victory at the 2003 Masters Tournament over Len Mattiace, becoming the first male Canadian major champion and the 2nd lefty to win a major (after Bob Charles at the 1963 Open Championship at Lytham.) Davis Love III, major championship winner and Ryder Cup Captain,  relives many of his PGA Tour victories including his five wins at the Heritage, three Wyndham titles and two triumphs at the International. Davis recounts his 1997 PGA Championship at Winged Foot, one of the most dominating major wins in golf history, where he finished under a rainbow, suggesting the spiritual presence of his PGA-member father and memories of his passing nearly ten years before. He also takes us through his second Tournament Players Championship win by six shots at TPC Sawgrass  in 2003, closing with a final round 64 in blustery conditions. 2-time major championship winner Sally Little begins her life story, learning the game as a young lady in apartheid South Africa. Tagging along with her father pulling a trolley for money,  Sally's game, beginning at the age of 12, quickly developed. With no female golf role models, Sally looked to Bobby Locke, her father's friend, and Gary Player for inspiration. Turning pro at 19, Sally joined the PGA Tour where she earned Rookie of the Year honors in 1971. It took her a few years to learn how to win and she finally broke through at the 1976 Women's International. She looks back on the great women who blazed a trail for her on the LPGA Tour and shares her memories of Patty Berg, Marilynn Smith, Shirley Spork and others. Major Championship winner, Martha Nause, takes us back to growing up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, learning the game with her four siblings under the watchful eyes of her parents at their local country club. With no high school or college golf team (until her senior year), Martha's game developed as a family summer endeavor, learning how to compete and win (or lose) with grace from her mother. With the great Manuel de la Torre as her coach, she quickly turned her summertime passion into her life's work, turning professional at age 23 and qualifying in her first attempt for the LPGA Tour. Success came slowly, first by making a few cuts and small checks. Ten years of hard work and developing her self-confidence, Martha finally broke through for win #1 at the Planters Pat Bradley International. In the afterglow of winning, she still had some challenges and triumphs ahead. Martha Nause begins her life story, "FORE the Good of the game."

2-time major winner and popular golf broadcaster, Dottie Pepper, takes us back to learning the game under the watchful eye of her father Don and early mentor George J. Pulver, Sr. who Dottie honored with her recent book A Letter to a Future Champion - My Time with Mr. Pulver.  She had early successes, some while playing on her high school boys golf team; winning the NY Women's State Amateur as a 15-year-old, winning the 1981 and 1983 Girl's NY Junior Amateurs and finishing as low amateur at the Women's U.S. Open in 1984. A 3-time All-American at Furman, Dottie then joined the LPGA Tour in 1988 and got her first win the following year. Winner of the PGA Championship in 1996, Mark Brooks takes us through each of his PGA Tour victories beginning with the "Greater Slam", winning the Greater Hartford Open, the Greater Greensboro Open and the Greater Milwaukee Open in succession. He remembers when a $35,000 year in winnings kept him exempt in the top 125 and finding a Ray Cook putter in a garage that led to a win at the Bob Hope. Only two months later, that putter was history but he made everything with the Odyssey he put in play at the 1996 Houston Open just prior to his major win at Valhalla. He recalls his win in the 2nd edition of the Tournament Players Championship at Colonial CC (TX) over his hunting buddy, Dave Stockton. Al takes us through his incredible round of 59 in the second of the Danny Thomas Memphis Classic at Colonial CC (TN) becoming the only player in the modern era to win a non-major without a round in the 60's. Al Geiberger wraps up this episode by fondly recalling the positive influence of his parents, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Bobby Nichols recounts his early PGA Tour wins, several of which Bruce Devlin later won including the site of their first victories, the St. Petersburg O pen. Bobby takes us back to his 1964 PGA Championship at Columbus CC where he played the final round with Ben Hogan and secured a wire-to-wire win, setting a scoring record that was to stand for thirty years. He gratefully remembers his relationship with Firestone CC as their Head Professional and remembers winning the 1964 Carling World Open at Oakland Hills over Arnold Palmer, again playing with Ben Hogan who was quoted as saying "you ought to pay me to play with you!" Bruce enjoys reminding Bobby of the drubbing Bruce and Bob Charles put on Bobby and Tony Lema in the 1964 CBS Golf Classic but Bobby turns the tables reminding Bruce of his win the following year at the Houston Classic by 1 over Bruce and Chi Chi Rodriguez. Bobby Nichols continues his life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Two-time major championship winner Sandy Lyle takes his through the mid-1980's, the most productive period in his professional career, beginning with his Open Championship win at Royal St. George's in 1985, becoming the first British winner since Tony Jacklin in 1969 and the first Scot since Tommy Armour. After getting his first PGA victory in the U.S. at the 1986 Greater Greensboro Open, Sandy went on to win the Tournament Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass the following year. He prevailed at the 1988 Masters with an iconic 7-iron bunker shot setting up a closing birdie (ably described by runner-up Mark Calcavecchia in a cameo appearance) and opening the door for more Brits to win a green jacket at Augusta. Sandy Lyle continues his life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Three-time major championship winner, Nick Price, begins by taking us back to the early frustrations and heartbreaks at the majors including the challenges of Augusta and tough Open Championship losses to Seve at Lytham in 1988 and earlier having one hand on the Claret Jug in 1982 at Troon when Tom Watson prevailed. He recognizes the lessons he took away from these which prepared him for a terrific stretch of golf in the early 1990's where he prevailed at the 1992 PGA at Bellerive, the 1994 Open at Turnberry and, later that year, the PGA at Southern Hills. Nick Price looks back on a Hall of Fame career and finishes with his thoughts on how he would like to be remembered as a golfer, "FORE the Good of the Game."

World Golf Hall of Fame member Beth Daniel begins her life story by recollecting her days growing up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Thanks to her supportive golfing parents, Beth was introduced to the game at age 6 and benefited from fine teachers at her home club like Masters Champion Henry Picard. She won the U.S. Women's Amateur in 1975 and 1977 and in between, was the medalist in 1976. Playing for Furman University with the likes of Betsy King, Sherri Turner and Cindy Farro, Beth and her teammates won the AIAW Championship Team title that same year. She also competed on two winning Curtis Cup teams, going 7-1 in her matches. Beth Daniel, the 1977 Broderick Award winner as the nation's best female collegiate golfer, shares her early years, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Winner of the 2018 Evian Championship Angela Stanford begins her story being introduced to the game by her father in Saginaw, Texas at age 10. Her game developed under the watchful eye of Amy Fox and, after success at the junior level, Angela competed at TCU for coach Angie Larkin, winning nine tournaments and achieving All-American status. She was selected for the 2000 Curtis Cup Team that was victorious at Ganton Golf Club before turning professional later that year. After winning the Futures Tour Championship in the fall of 2000, she joined the LPGA Tour in 2001 and notched her first win at the 2003 Shoprite LPGA Classic and later experienced a heart-breaking loss at the 2003 U.S. Women's Open in a 3-way 18-hole playoff . Angela Stanford shares her early story, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Major Championship winner Angela Stanford fondly recalls her other LPGA Tour victories, setting several scoring records along the way. The highlight, her 2018 win at the Evian Championship, setting a record by becoming a major champion at age 40 in her 76th major championship. She recalls the help and guidance she has received over the years from Shady Oaks Professional Mike Wright, a fellow member of the Texas Golf Fall of Fame. Angela recounts her experiences as a 6-time Solheim Cup participant, especially the 2015 come-from-behind win in Germany for Captain Juli Inkster. Finally, she proudly relates the work her foundation is doing, in her Mother's honor, serving young people impacted by cancer. Three-time major championship winner Mary Mills begins her story by sharing her memories of growing up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where she took up the game the game at age 11. With regular lessons from 1935 PGA Champion Johnny Revolta, Mary enjoyed early amateur success winning the Women's State Am eight times in a row starting at age 14. She met Messrs. Hogan and Jones at age 14 and found inspiration from those encounters. Mary played for four years on the men's golf team at Millsaps College before turning professional in 1962. It wasn't long before she won her first event and major, the 1963 Women's U.S. Open. Mary Mills shares her early years and first big win as a pro, "FORE the Good of the Game."

Martha Nause relates the story of her finish at the LPGA Sun-Times Shoot-Out in 1991 going birdie, birdie, birdie, eagle to win, but tragically followed months later by the passing of her mother. Martha felt that the stress caused by her sudden loss brought on a rare condition that affected her balance and made if difficult to compete for over a year. With the help of a mental coach she came back with a flourish, winning the 1994 du Maurier Classic by 1 over Michelle McGann, shooting an opening round course-record 65. This comeback of sorts earned her the 1996 Heather Farr Player Award.  Martha went on to play the LPGA Legends Tour and was their leading money winner in 2006. She also coached college golf for the men's and women's teams at Macalester College and was inducted into the Wisconsin Golf Hall of Fame in 1995. Martha Nause wraps up her life story, "FORE the Good of the Game."
