This is our first episode of Duality Check. We wanted to start laying some groundwork for all the wild directions we’re going to go in the future. The first piece of that is talking about science. It’s our best tool for understanding the world around us. It’s reshaped our world and our every day lives. However, there are some areas where science comes up short. Topics include dark matter and dark energy. We spend some time talking about the mysteries of gravity, quantum physics and the theories that try to combine them together into a grand “theory of everything.” We talk about consciousness, teleportation and reincarnation. We have fun trying out some different illusions to show how crazy the brain is. We compare hard sciences to soft sciences and then discuss fields like psychology and egyptology. We lament over all the deliberately destroyed knowledge. We round out the episode discussing the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis and the replication crisis in science. In today’s episode we’re going to dive into the origins of human civilization. We start the show off walking through the origins of homo sapiens and human civilization through the lens of the conventional understanding. After reviewing what we’ve been taught our whole lives, we start bringing up some of the issues with this story. We introduce the alternate theory of human civilization which is that human civilization goes back way before the ice age. We present some arguments that may support this claim and then we’re left with a big question. If this isn’t our first go at civilization, where is all the evidence of a previous civilization? To address this question we spend the second half of the show reviewing a scientific paper published by the Comet Research Group in PNAS titled “Evidence for an Extraterrestrial Impact 12,900 Years Ago That Contributed to the Megafaunal Extinctions and the Younger Dryas Cooling.” This article does a great job covering the various evidence for the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis. After we finish the article we discuss the ramifications and the terrifying reality for the people who lived at the time. Topics include dark matter and dark energy. It’s written from the perspective of a pencil who makes the claim to humans that no single person could make a pencil. That essay takes us into further discussion about economics. We talk about economic methodology comparing empirical and a priori approaches. We compare the different schools of economic thought and then start to dive into the Austrian school and its approach to economics. We talk about building up economic science from the single axiom that man acts. We go through topics including money, wealth creation, prices, business cycle theory, inflation and even a discussion about making sandwiches. Buy “UFOs and the National Security State: Chronology of a Coverup, 1941-1973” on Amazon – A link to the book on Amazon. I found it to be a very useful early history of the UFO phenomenon. Richard does a good job balancing all the sightings and all the government activities in a way that is easy to follow. You should also follow his YouTube channel. He produces a lot of great content on the topic. I like him because he spends a good amount of time on facts but also isn’t scared to speculate based on his vast knowledge. Diana comes from the world of academia. She’s a professor of Religious Studies at The College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University. She intersected with the UFO topic quite accidentally and this book documents her journey as she meets the pseudonymous “Tyler”, the now public Gary Nolan and UFO reasearch pioneer Jacques Vallée. You can feel her attitude on the subject start to slowly change as the book goes on. It’s must read if you’d like your perpective on the UFO phenomenon widened. Buy “Encounters” by Diana Pasulka on Amazon I just finished listening to Diana’s follow-up to American Cosmic. In this book Diana seems to have as her overall goal to expand the view of the UFO phenomenon from the classic “aliens visiting from another planet” theory. She talks to some of the same characters from American Cosmic as well as some new additions. I found this book to be really inspiring and refreshing. Please give it a read and support her amazing work UFOs & Religion: Vatican Reveals Bizarre Link (ft. Diana Pasulka) Jesse Michel’s YouTube channel has already been linked and I anticipate linking to it a lot more in the future. This episode showcases a lively interview with Diana Pasulka. It’s a really fun read. For a more advanced and comprehensive look at Austrian economics, check out Man, Economy & State by Murray Rothbard. This book is still easy to read and follow compared to Mises but it is very thorough. Another option is economist Bob Murphy’s book Choice that is essentially a modern rewriting of Human Action. Journey to the Sacred Garden by Hank Wesselman, Ph.D. This short book is a compact instruction manual for teaching yourself the shamanic practice of journeying into the spirit worlds. The Case Against Reality by Donald Hoffman This excellent book enplains Donald Hoffman’s View that the world as described to us by science, the world of space-time is an illusion. He breaks down the issues with it and proposes that maybe instead of a universe of matter evolving to the point of creating consciousness, maybe the consciousness came first. Also check out his legendary interview on Lex Fridman’s podcast. On Feb. 14, 1990, Voyager 1 took this picture. Here’s some extra reading on the photo at NASA’s website. This is the photo the inspired Carl Sagan’s beautiful monologue. Here’s a link to Rudolf Steiner talking about this subject. It also reminds me of Randall Carlson’s talks about numerology and measurements systems. It’s worth a watch. The Kolisko Effect is a phenomenon where metal salts are photographed and claimed to have different effects and shapes based on the positions of the heavenly bodies. I found some interesting conversations about it online on Quora and Reddit Cymatics is where you connect a flat surface to a speaker and then put sand or another substance on the surface. The different shapes are created by the different resonances that the speaker imparts into the surface. Here’s a YouTube music video where the artist used cymatics for visualizations. Cymatic could have implications on our health. Here’s a link to a YouTuber Anton Petrov and his explanation of a new scientific study that found that human cells have resonant frequencies. Today’s episode is an exploration of an alternate theory of everything Quantum Space Theory by Thad Roberts. But, before we get into the topic we spend the first segment discussing Chris Bledsoe’s UFO experiences. We also read some listener communication from “A scientist doing science listening to a podcast about science.” As we dive into the theory we discuss space-time in the conventional theories and then contrast that with Thad’s QST. We use his work to describe an intuitive way of visualizing an 11 dimensional reality. We have a bit of a tangent just discussing time as a dimension and how time is weird. We talk about the mysteries of the universe (dark matter, dark energy, quantum tunneling) and how this theory attempts to solve these mysteries. Part 3 of Secret History of the World is here. In this episode we cover the formation of higher forms of animals, the god Oannes and the Sons of God who came down to earth and took human women for wives creating the giants. We also cover an idea that the ancients understood a form of evolution and their spin on the idea. What are unicorns and what do they represent? Why did many of the civilizations of the ancients have the same astrological system even if there were different names applied? Were the Neanderthals the giants? We also talk about the Egyptian story of Osiris and Set and how that story has mirrors in other cultures. Strap in for more of the Duality Check mystery school! However for the “Great Year,” or precession of the equinoxes, we travel through the zodiac is a clockwise direction. That is why Pisces which we are leaving now is followed by the age of Aquarius. Graham Hancock discusses this at great lengths in his books. This graphic depicts the precession of the equinoxes. Where we are now in the precession, out current north star is Polaris but in another 13,000 years the north star will be Vega. Hamlet’s Mill is a book I’ve heard a lot about from the like of Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson but, I have yet to read it. Part two of our Chris Bledsoe coverage is a fun one. Why did a NASA scientist named Hal Povenmire investigate Chris and ultimately become a close family friend? Chris seemingly has the ability to summon orb in front of others. The first encounter with The Lady was the subject of another regression that Chris had done. This encounter and the following events really get you thinking. Is Chris being abducted physically or maybe in an astral form? Did Chris really give multiple prophecies that came true? We talked about the idea of quant suf which is a term we stole from the Brothers of the Serpent Podcast. They have a cool glossary page on their website with lots of funny lingo they like to use. They also have an awesome library with links to tons of interesting books. I highly recommend checking out their podcast if you like ours. Mark Booth mentioned the work of Robert Schoch & Robert Baval. I think he was referring to “Origins of the Sphinx”. I haven’t read it but I added it to my list. We talked about 3 Body Problem. It’s a new series on Netflix. I’m still only a few episodes in and it’s pretty good so far. I’d recommend giving it a watch if you like sci-fi. The book on the other hand was fantastic! AI Fail of the WeekI tried to generate an image showing a centaur kidnapping a bride and GPT tried and failed so many times. It would make a man on a horse. It would make the centaur the bride. It’s a really intriguing book that I recommend highly! As you can tell by the title, it explores the idea that the moon was an artificial creation. If you find that idea fantastic, it’s still worth a read for all the crazy facts about the moon inside the book. The book is a natural follow up to their first book “Civilization One” which explores the worlds various measurement systems and finds evidence that our various measurement systems are related and point to an ancient source civilization. It’s a great read! As we were discussing solar eclipses and how crazy they are, I mentioned a youtube video by Smarter Everyday where Destin (the host) films the 2017 solar eclipse from the exact spot that would allow him to photograph the International Space Station transiting across the eclipse. It’s an amazing video! We go on to talk about the moon being hollow or at least spongy and we discuss how it rings “like a bell” when it is struck. I found this article in Popular Science talking about the phenomena from a more mainstream scientific perspective but I thought it was a good read. Today we decided to do something a little different. Drew and I had both watched The Joe Rogan Experience #2136 with Graham Hancock and Flint Dibble. Since we were both excited to talk about it, we figured, why not make it an episode. And so, that’s exactly what this is. After some listener emails and interesting articles, we cover the debate between Flint and Graham. After covering our first impressions, we discuss how Graham’s general career strategy of keeping his claims “reasonable” may have actually hurt him in this debate in some ways. We talks about Flint’s best points which to us seemed to be his agricultural points including pollen and cereal domestication studies. We eventually cover the drama in the debate between Graham and Flint and our take on it. We spend some time talking about the attitude of Flint and other archeologists. We also cover the part of the debate that focused on Egypt before going off with our general thoughts and hopes for the future. Today’s episode is all about reincarnation. Dean shares what he’s been reading in Jim B Tucker MD’s book ‘Life After Life’. Jim worked with the reincarnation research OG, Ian Stevenson. We discuss multiple cases as well as the scientific study of reincarnation. We discuss the most common features reported in reincarnation cases. Drew relates the tale of Dorothy Eady who believed that she had a previous life as an Egyptian priestess. We spend some tie focused on the biggest phenomena associated with reincarnation which has to be the past life statements that many children make. They also tend to exhibit strange behaviors that seem to be best explained by reincarnation. In his studies, Dr. Tucker has established certain criteria that a case must meet to be included in their database which includes over 2500 cases. We zoom in on the rather unremarkable case of Abby Swanson who only made a few statements, only one time, and only to her mother alone. The case is a great tool to use to then go into the various normal and paranormal explanations for these cases. Today is the final entry in our coverage of Life Before Life. We start the show talking about near-death experiences and mediums as other indicators that the spirit can exist independent of the body. We talk about the scientific idea of consilience and how it’s a double-edged sword that helps and hurts science in different situations. Can reincarnation ever be consilient with science? The second segment is full of tangents like simulation theory, the Tall el-Hammam discovery and the Carolina Bays. We move on to cover some various objections to reincarnation like population size, religious objections and Alzheimer’s disease. We finally move on to the end of the book where Jim B. Tucker covers speculations and questions based on the research. Does everyone reincarnate? If so, what is actually reincarnating? Do people have a choice in when and where they reincarnate? Is reincarnation a fulfilment of karma? We finish the book with advice for parents on how to handle the situation if your child starts talking about a past life. This has been a fun journey that has changed our views on the topic. We hope you enjoy it! Of course even sticking to the well established facts leaves us unable to conclude anything short of the Secret Service miserably failing at their job. Eventually we move into more and more controversial ideas surrounding the fateful day. Was there a second shooter? Did the media collude to downplay the event? Were the counter-snipers ordered to stand down? Was there a shooter on the water tower? Did someone have advanced knowledge and short Trump’s Truth Social? Was the shooter in fact Maxwell Yearick? Was the entire thing a hoax? The answer to most of these questions is no but we think it’s important to discuss these ideas and refute them where possible. We also watch the trailer for Graham Hancock's new season of Ancient Apocalypse on Netflix. We talk for a while about a new Jesse Michels video in which he interviews Lue Elizondo. That leads us into discussing a recent episode of Jesse Michel’s American Alchemist where Jesse interviews Rizwan Virk and discusses the idea of simulation theory. We talk with Chris a bit about his new YouTube channel in the works and his idea to document the process of creating a game from scratch. As we get into the main lecture, we allow Alan Watts to take us on a profound journey of understanding the nature of good and evil. He points out that much evil in the world comes from people lashing out at the evil they see around them in an attempt to deny that they have that same tendency within themselves. He talks about Carl Jung’s personality and his ability to feel the negativity within himself without condemning it. He talks about good and evil being parts of a unified whole and the need to be able to see and accept evil without condoning it and how the two define each other. He also talks about egoism and discusses an interesting idea called enantiodromia which is the tendency for one extreme to turn into another. We also discuss the work of Dean Radin on psy phenomena and the idea that magic is real. In the second half, we finally get into the Ancient Apocalypse episode. Graham starts us back at the Amazonian geoglyphs and talks about implications for the population size needed to create such vast works. He then takes us to an intriguing site called Serra do Paituna where there are vast rock art pictographs done by ancient people of the area. These pictographs have some very interesting implications. For the rest of the show, the topic shifts to covering a super interesting Jesse Michels episode in which he joined Karl Nell and Diana Pasulka on the stage of Hereticon to discuss UFOs. Karl Nell walks us through 3 reasons for people to believe that UFOs and non-human intelligence are real. His reasons include first principles thinking on the topic, testimonial evidence and the data. Diana talks about her interesting interpretation of Plato’s Republic and his reason for including the allegory of the cave at the end of it. She also discusses early Christianity and how it came out of paganism. She talks about what it would mean for religious believers to come to terms with the idea that their religion is actually real in a practical sense here and now. Later, Drew shares a clip featuring the new UFO whistleblower, Jake Barber, and his thoughts on Steven Greer’s CE5. We talk about the new NewsNation special with Jake Barber, the “Egg UFOs,” and the idea of telepathic communication with them. In the final segment, Dean brings up the recent Danny Jones podcasts featuring Greek philologist Ammon Hillman and exorcist Bob Larson. Their conversation includes an incredible “debate” between them. Ammon suggests there are significant mistranslations in the Bible that paint a very different picture of who Jesus was and what he might have been up to—hinting at the possibility that he ran a disturbing drug cult. In today’s episode we cover yet another alien interview. This one has actual video of what appears to be a classic grey alien being interrogated. Before we get into the interview, we read some listener messages which spark a discussion about grifters in religious and UFO topics, Jake Barber, psychically calling UFOs, and some thoughts on the new group of UFO whistleblowers. Drew shares a Bashar video about the nature of God and a video about the results from the Osiris Rex mission. He also brings us a video of a fire fighter talking about his near-death experience. Afterwards, we dig into the alien interview. The alien is asked all sorts of interesting questions about the origins of humanity, the origins of the universe, and where they come from. He gives us an account of a multiverse, whether there is any meaning to it all and he also says that humanity will be destroyed by nuclear war. Apparently it is a fate that can be avoided but if we manage to avoid it, we’ll likely be destroyed by AI. It’s an interesting set of videos that we can’t say that we believe are real, but they sure make for interesting brain food, so come along with us to hear about the world from the perspective of an alien!
