22 Feb 2022 | 240 – Daytona 500: Push It Real Good | 01:48:17
Door Bumper Clear returns from the 2022 Daytona 500 and reacts to a wild weekend of racing. T.J. Majors, Brett Griffin and Freddie Kraft all had an eventful Sunday spotting from the roof. Hear T.J. 's thoughts on Brad Keselowski’s involvement in several incidents, Brett’s take on his car’s tire falling off and Freddie’s reaction to coming within feet of a career-defining victory. Along with co-host Casey Boat and producer Jason Schultz, the crew welcomes you into their brand new studio. And you won’t believe what it resembles. In Spot On, Spot Off, the crew discusses Keselowski’s aggressive antics that ruffled feathers. Brett and Freddie do not shy away from letting T.J. know that he wrecked a large portion of the field. During Stage 1, rookie Harrison Burton flipped in a wreck down the backstretch. The crew raises concerns about how easily the car flipped and what NASCAR needs to do going forward. Austin Cindric earned his first career Cup win in the Great American Race but put his teammate Ryan Blaney in the wall on the last lap to do so. They discuss the move while Brett mentions why he would put his mother in the wall to win the Daytona 500. During the overtime restart, Blaney told Cindric to move down in front of him and said he was making decisions to ensure that a Team Penske car was going to win. Is that the right play in the closing laps? Hear the gang’s thoughts. Keselowski and T.J won Duel 1 as Joey Logano wrecked while throwing a block on the final lap of Duel 2. T.J. explains why he was sipping tea as that happened. Brett shares why the qualifying races need an overhaul because starting position in the 500 is insignificant. The crew brainstorms ideas to change the format to make the event less of a snooze-fest. As a new drivers council led by Jeff Burton forms, Brett explains its importance and how they need to address driver salaries. Brett and Freddie aren’t alone with giving T.J. a hard time as several fans express their displeasure with Keselowski’s aggressiveness in Reaction Theatre, and everyone makes picks for NASCAR’s return to Auto Club Speedway. 11 Oct 2021 | 233 – Charlotte ROVAL: Karma 0, Paranoia 1 | 01:25:28
Another dramatic NASCAR Cup Series elimination playoff race has the spotters fired up after race weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL. Brett Griffin and T.J. Majors are in the Bojangles Studio, while Freddie Kraft calls into the show from the Next Gen test at Charlotte Monday morning. Now that the Round of 8 is set, T.J. talks advancing with Brad Keselowski further than most expected and how the No. 2 team overcame multiple spins on Sunday. Looking ahead to the next three races, Brett asks T.J. to honestly assess the team’s opportunity to advance. Hear who may be favorited moving into the final four races and why there’s no room for error. Kevin Harvick dished payback to Chase Elliott mid-race at the ROVAL, sending Elliott into the Turn 7 wall. The spotters share their initial reactions to the incident, how the fans reacted and the No. 9 team’s ability to stay on the lead lap. Then as Elliott closed back in on Harvick, Harvick made a mistake that eliminated him from the playoffs. Hear the guys talk about how his plan completely backfired. After the first incident, the No. 9 team suffered major rear end damage. The bumper cover then hung off the car for numerous laps before flying off to bring out a debris caution. Why didn’t Elliott get the black flag like NASCAR has done to drivers with loose bumper covers in the past? The crew dissects that call and the tweet that the main NASCAR account sent and later deleted after the yellow flag. Rick Hendrick suggested post-race that NASCAR should now intervene between Elliott and Harvick. Do the spotters agree? They debate and tell us whether they think this rivalry is over, or just getting good. Plus, they predict what to expect between the two in the Round of 8. As William Byron fought for his playoff life late in the race, Tyler Reddick may have had a hand in costing Byron a shot at the win. Hear what the gang says about how the two raced each other. Martin Truex Jr. hung onto his final playoff spot by a thread late in the going after being spun by Joey Hand, who was making his NASCAR debut. Should drivers be able to make their first start in the playoffs? Hear what the guys have to say. Then the crew reacts to Graham Rahal’s tweet about the idea of playoffs in racing versus a season-long championship format. Which is better? Why does NASCAR do playoffs? The guys share some insight. In Reaction Theatre, Kevin Harvick receives no love, someone dares to give Elliott a bold nickname and Christmas caroling starts early. Then, the team makes Championship 4 predictions for both the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series heading into the first race of the Round of 8 at Texas Motor Speedway. Plus, hear what experiment Texas is trying in its playoff races this weekend. And is a fan favorite race track coming back to life? Brett has some details.

Hear why a rearview camera may be among them. Next, Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis and defending Truck Series champion Sheldon Creed exchanged heated tweets over the weekend. Following Creed’s victory on Friday at Darlington, Lemonis replied to a fan who asked why Creed sometimes races sponsor-less. Lemonis said he offered to help, Creed fired back saying that the team is worth more than 15k. The series title sponsor then called Creed unprofessional. Hear the reaction from the crew and why Griffin – a motorsports marketing professional – believes making sponsorship values public is damaging for the sport. Bubba Wallace struggled again at Darlington, once angering race leader Martin Truex Jr. while the No. 19 team tried to help out its Toyota teammate at the end of Stage 1. Hear Freddie’s reaction to what Truex said about Wallace. Plus, a discussion on what spotters think about the leader complaining about cars fighting to stay on the lead lap. Later in the race, Wallace received the lucky dog only to have it taken away. Was that a fair decision by NASCAR? Kraft weighs in with a surprising answer and details surrounding the situation. 17 Aug 2021 | 225 – Indianapolis: Curb Your Enthusiasm | 01:37:46
Brett Griffin, T.J. Majors and Freddie Kraft are back from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course and its inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race with plenty to discuss. Brett came home a winner as a chaotic finish allowed AJ Allmendinger to capitalize for his second career Cup victory. Hear Brett detail how the road course ace put himself in position to win and what the first Cup triumph means for Kaulig Racing. While Allmendinger and Brett celebrated, the rest of the crew fell victim to the troublesome curb in Turn 6. T.J. shares what happened to Joey Logano as he smashed into the tire barriers while running near the front when the curb came up. Freddie explains his feelings towards the penalty Bubba Wallace received for avoiding the remaining “ramp” in the Turn 6 chicane during Overtime. After multiple cars hit the orange turtle in Turn 6 during the first lap of Saturday’s Xfinity Series race, the track removed the turtle ahead of Sunday’s event. Was that the right call? Or did it invite drivers to push the limits of that corner even more? The guys debate. Curbs became part of the story again in the Cup Series race as Turn 6 proved troublesome throughout the event. On a late restart, disaster struck as the curb shredded cars and caused a major pileup at the front of the field. Should NASCAR have thrown a yellow flag the lap prior? How can this situation be fixed? The crew weighs these questions after the costly mistake. The final restart created more drama as Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe went head-to-head into the first corner. As Briscoe was forced wide, Hamlin secured the lead. However, Briscoe cut back across the grass onto the track and was penalized. He then spun leader Hamlin and both cars were then out of contention. The gang discusses whether Briscoe knew about the penalty or not and whether taking out Hamlin was a clean or dirty move. Due to the event running long, the broadcast shifted from NBC to NBC Sports Network. Why did that need to happen? The guys explain the decision making behind the move. The charter market remains hot and the latest rumors involve 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports. Could a deal be in the works for 23XI to secure more charters? Hear a few theories on the next silly season dominos to fall. In Reaction Theatre, fans let it all out in response to the curb chaos, big wrecks, Briscoe spinning Hamlin and much more. Plus, was that Toby Keith who called in and played a song? The guys also discuss other on track problems from Sunday including a car oiling down the entire surface and a safety truck on track during qualifying. As the playoffs approach, Richard Childress Racing’s two cars are battling for the final spot. The guys discuss how they expect the teammates to race each other in the coming weeks.

A frigid weekend at Martinsville Speedway didn’t make Door Bumper Clear shy away from offering hot takes on this episode. Brett Griffin, T.J. Majors and Freddie Kraft start by discussing T.J. reuniting with his former driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. to spot in the Xfinity Series race, only to be surprised by the man himself. Dale Jr. makes his first DBC appearance and shares what made him nervous heading into his only start of the year on Friday night. He and the guys then shift gears to their thoughts on the Cup Series race at Martinsville, where drivers were shifting every lap with the Next Gen car. They discuss why that, along with a multitude of other factors, has created lackluster short track racing so far this year. Dale Jr. then dives into his Xfinity Series driver Sam Mayer getting into a post-race scuffle with rival Ty Gibbs. Hear how Dale and the spotters reacted, and why it's making Dale want to get his drivers fighting lessons. To start Spot On, Spot Off, the crew discusses Denny Hamlin’s struggles during the Saturday Cup Series race and his comments about the Next Gen car needing a complete redesign. Next, they talk about why neither Austin Dillon nor Joey Logano roughed up William Byron during the overtime restart. Hear why the guys think the bump and run may not be as effective with the new car and if they had a shot to begin with. Ty Gibbs is back in the news after Sam Mayer bumped him out of the way in the final corner of the Xfinity Series race as they battled for the 100k bonus. After questioning whether Gibbs could dish it and take it last week, the guys got their answer and breakdown the fight and its implications moving forward. Hear what Dale said to Sam afterwards. Roush Fenway Keselowski lost its penalty appeal for modifying a single source part. The crew talks about NASCAR needing to set the precedent from this ruling and if they could have avoided the penalty altogether. Also, should all penalties be made public again? The crew debates. Everyone shares their displeasure of having to race on Easter Sunday at Bristol Dirt. They talk about who ultimately has the power to make the decision and why the answer may surprise you. They continue their discussion of Bristol Dirt talking about Kyle Busch’s comments about wanting to “cut the cord” on the race.
