16 Feb 2023Gary Ridgeway: Sexual Sadist...? (Part 2)00:11:58

Part 2 explores the personality dynamics of Gary Ridgeway, his home life, and romantic relationships.

Today, in the spirit of all things unknown, I am going to be exploring the Sexual Sadism of Gary Ridgeway aka The Green River Killer.

I recently had the coolest experience of being able to participate in a documentary on Gary Ridgeway that will be released soon on Tubi.

Full Episodes ---> Patreon.com/doctorpsychopodcast

In preparation for this documentary, I discovered multiple experts who classified Ridgeway as a sexual sadist, and I myself classified him as one on the documentary as well.

Why do experts commonly believe that The Green River Killer was a sexual sadist, you ask? Why, it’s because he strangled them to death after having sex with them.

Sexual sadism is when you get sexual thrill from the prolonged torture and the enjoyment of watching your victim suffer. Compared to other sexual sadists, Ridgeway finished his victims rather quickly, and did not take pleasure in prolonging their deaths or suffering, nor did he take the time to revel in the act of killing them. Ridgeway simply strangled them after sex. Is that really sexual sadism?

To answer this question, my wonderful stalkers, let’s dive into the Ridgeway case. I will recap the history of the Green River Killer, and then consider the criteria for sexual sadism to see if it lines up with Gary Rigeway. And of course, I want to hear your thoughts too!

12 Mar 2018The Mandela Effect: False Memory & Public Perception01:02:58

Michael Drane (@upcmd) & Ryan Lee sit down to discuss this mindf*ck social phenomenon where the public has a false memory about certain things. The term "Mandela Effect" was first coined in 2013 after Nelson Mandela's death, because many people mis-remember him dying in prison in the 1980s. There are many examples of this, and the conversation surrounding the Mandela Effect has even escalated to the possibility of alternate realities and parallel universes. What are YOUR thoughts?

10 Mar 2021Scale of Evil , Part 14: Buried Alive for Ransom00:05:41

Imagine the horror of being kidnapped. Let that sink in for a moment.

Now, imagine the horror of being buried alive, in a box, underground—which is worse?

Now, imagine both.

Level 19 psychopath Gary S. Krist was responsible for the abduction and ransom of Barbara Mackle, daughter to real estate tycoon Robert Mackle, in 1968. He kidnapped her, buried her alive, and then demanded her father pay a half-million-dollar ransom for her safe return. But is Gary as evil as we think he is?

In this week’s episode, Professor Michael Drane explores the qualifications for a Level 19 psychopath based on Dr. Michael Stone’s Gradations of Evil Scale. This episode is reserved for our beloved stalkers of the podcast and is a continuation of our Scale of Evil series.

Psychotherapist Michael Drane & Justin Krause answer an email from Stalker/Parton Karen:

Hello friend 🙂 i was hoping that someday one of your podcasts might cover anhedonia. i am struggling right now with my husband of 11 years who is going through his 3 bout of depression in his life. he is in london and I in the U.S. and we were just about to make final arrangements for our move there. (he is a British citizen) the absolute worst part of his depression is the lack of emotion he is feeling towards me. (I dont love you anymore, I dont see a future with us, had no clue it was my birthday and on and on) It would be great to have some clarity on the subject as it relates to depression. Regardless, I remain vigilant and will always be there for him. I would be grateful if you would kindly consider my request. Love your podcasts and have listened to them all! kind regards, Karen

  3. Cadence in the stalker group: "A debate that I currently run into as whether or not Boderline Personality Disorder is really a personality disorder or the result of complex trauma. A colleague of mine won't utilize the name BPD and instead refers to it as complex trauma. Just an idea!"
  4. The Psychology of Comedy requested by famous stalker John & also Cadence in the stalker group shared this article: https://themighty.com/2017/09/pete-davidson-borderline-personality-disorder-manipulation/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Mighty_MH_Page
  5. Kendra in the stalker group: "Forgive me if this has been discussed I'm a little behind. Has there been a episode on the effects of music on your mood: Personally work has been insanely stressful the last few weeks(had my first panic attack in roughly 5 years last week) and music has been helping calm me. So I'm wondering if that is universal."
  6. Typical American lifestyle: Now vs. the 50's
  7. Tracy in the stalker group: “I'm not sure if you guys have ever done a little bit of this in an episode, but have your ever thought of doing an episode on the psychology of forgiveness?  I saw this documentary a few years ago and followed her path, as I held grudges so badly.  It was just ruining my life.  I've become so much happier since then and find it so interesting." http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0489707/

Find it, and it will lead you on the road to finding us. We look forward to meeting the few who make it all the way though. Good Luck. - 3301." Many have attempted— most to no avail. But those who have supposedly succeeded were never heard from again. Listen to folktale and 'creature' expert, Jesse Haynes, and psychotherapist, Michael Drane, discuss where this intricately devised treasure map could possibly lead.

12 Jan 2021How To Incite A Mob: Thoughts on the Capitol00:36:49

It’s astonishing how quickly one person’s idea can become the belief system of an entire community.

In this week's episode, Professor Michael Drane explores the psychology of Mob Mentality within the context of the riot at the Capitol. Mob Mentality usually makes headlines during the holidays--that is, unfortunately, a familiar sight. However, the events that took place last Wednesday are unprecedented. You may be asking yourself "Why did this happen?" or "How could this happen?"

Listen in as he explores the differences between Group Think and Mob Mentality, the 6 Key Symptoms of Group Think, as well as the ideological and spiritual belief systems associated with Herd-Mentality.

Stay safe out there friends, and we hope you enjoy the show.
