Ep 97: 6 tips and reminders for exercise.
00:30:32
Whether you are someone who hates exercise because it has only ever been a form of punishment. Someone who loves exercise but never stays consistent. Or someone who may be going just a little TOO hard in the fitness department, this episode has something for you.
In this episode, I share with you 6 tips for exercise and lessons I learned from pure barre.
Maybe these are questions about your own binge eating, body image, and weight. Or possibly about relationships, talking to others about your food stuff, or what to expect throughout our work together- it is all welcome.
Once you fill out the form, I will have no way to know who it was from. So if you want me to know it's from you add your name in with your question, if not, all you have to do is pop in your question.

00:36:12

Ep 99: Listener Q&A
00:54:47
You asked, I answered!
In this week's episode, I answer YOUR questions.
Questions:
Why do I binge after 5-7 days? How do I have my own back? Wondering what *I* still struggle with. Origin of the bodysuit. Living in a bigger body and not loving it. Can't stay on "track" with recovery. How long before I could focus on weight loss? Healthy guidelines for exercise. Weight gain after bulimia.
We talk about what it was like getting the podcast started, the fears I had, obstacles I faced, and what I am working on now in my business.
She also surprises me with some rapid-fire questions at the end.
I hope you enjoy this episode and thank you for being here! - - - If we aren't already, let's connect on IG here. And you can visit my website HERE.

Ep 101: 3 tips for when you're exhausted, bloated, and blah.
00:29:26
Feeling tired. Feeling bloated and blah.
While we don't love 'em, they happen!
Feeling like you can barely muster the energy up to peel yourself off the couch, let alone get a 45 min spin class in. Knowing you had these same pants on 2 days ago but today they make you want to curl up in a ball and cry. Or not even know what's going on- you just feel "off".
We have all experienced it.
But how are we supposed to survive these days??!
How I see most people handle these situations and emotions is by applying more force.
By pushing harder. Drinking more caffeine. Eating all the sugar. Beating themselves. Telling themselves to just "get it together!"
And what this really does is perpetuate the cycle of binge eating and overworking yourself.
In this episode, I am giving you 3 tips to make it through your not-so-great days with a little more ease.

Ep 102: People pleasing energy vs Self Sufficient Energy
00:16:50
If you are a people pleaser, be sure to listen to this week's episode.
Honestly, I think people-pleasing gets a bit of a bad wrap. I don't believe it is all that 'bad'.
But! It may actually have less of a pleasing effect on others than you think.
I talk about the difference between people-pleasing energy and self-sufficient energy and why you may want to rethink all that worrying about others.
Enjoy!

Ep 103: Hustle Culture vs Diet Culture with Susan Hyatt
00:35:50
In this episode, Susan shares her personal journey with food and body image and how that has impacted who she is today.
Susan talks about how despite having a thriving career as a successful realtor and a life that looked great on paper, she deeply struggled with disordered eating and was consumed with thoughts of her body. She talks about the Weight Watchers weigh-in that was a major turning point, the ways having a daughter has impacted her work, and how it is now her life's purpose to help women stop dieting and create the life they truly want.
Susan Hyatt is a Master Certified Life & Business Coach, best-selling author, TEDx speaker, and the queen of helping women create what they crave in life.
Susan started her career in sales—radio advertising, then residential real estate—before transitioning into the field of life coaching.
Over the last 14 years, Susan’s coaching practice has grown into a multi-seven figure business with 10 employees, signature programs, a marketing agency, and The University for Life Coach Training.
Susan has been featured on national TV and in magazines like O: The Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, and Woman’s World. She was honored to be a Finalist for the Athena Award, recognizing leadership in the field of women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship.
Ep 105: Self Acceptance and Body Image with Swim Queen Jackie
00:44:39
This week I talk to Jackie about self-acceptance, body image, and wearing the damn swimsuit!
Jackie shares with us how she grew up a swimmer but as she got a little older she started feeling less confident in her body and less eager to "suit up" and show up. But there was something she noticed even more than her own dissatisfaction in her skin and that was hearing other women talk about the discomfort in their bodies.
Jackie had seen and heard enough and decided to do something about it.
And that something was the "Be Your Own SwimQueen".
The Be Your Own SwimQueen community was created to change the way women feel about themselves in a swimsuit. This community allows women to breathe without fear of judgment in a trusting, loving, and inspiring space. It offers authentic support, love, and inspiration. The Be Your Own SwimQueen Community encourages women to feel confident and wear the swimsuit today - like a Queen.
You can read more about Jackie and the amazing community she has created right HERE. Be sure to check out her upcoming events!
You can follow their Instagram Page HERE. Jackie's personal page is HERE. - - - - - Be sure to connect with me on IG here. You can visit my website to learn more about working together HERE. You can book a consult call by filling out THIS FORM.

Ep 106: Diet Trauma
00:36:10
Ever thought, "What am I so resistant to eating vegetables again? Why can't I can't work out like I used to?"
You are very likely experiencing some Diet Trauma.
I was trying to think of another word besides trauma to use here but truly, that is what it is.
In this episode, I will share what that looks like, the ways it has shown up in my life, how it may show up in your life, and how to navigate it.
I would love to hear what you thought of this episode.
Please take a screenshot and share it to IG and tag me or send me a DM and let me know what you think or if you have been experiencing some diet trauma of your own.
I mentioned a group I will be running and will have more info on that in a week or so. I do currently have a couple of spots open for 1:1 coaching.
If you are curious about that and would like to know more, grab a call with me HERE and I can go over all that it entails and make suggestions on what would be a good place for you to get started.
Ep 107: Ending Binge Eating and Reclaiming Self Trust - Interview with client Laura P.
00:38:38
"I just thought starving yourself and then binge eating was normal. I thought it was what everyone did to stay thin...I now get to enjoy time with my family and around food. I can actually relax around both." - Laura P.
When Laura reached out to me she hadn't really been aware of the extent of her food and body stuff. But within a month or two of working together, it became very apparent how much all of that noise saturated every area of her life.
Since our work together she has developed a better relationship with friends and family, showing up for herself with more confidence and consistency, but most of all has created a level of deep self-trust within herself.
Laura shares with us how it is never too late to change and why she now believes she is stepping into one of the best chapters of her life. Free of food and body noise and full of confidence in who she is and what she wants. - - - - If you are curious about working together and want to know more about what that could look like, book a free discovery call with me HERE.
I wanted to make sure you, my loyal podcast listener, got info on my next round on Ballsy Broads.
"Ballsy Broads?? What is it??" SO GLAD YOU ASKED!!
Ballsy Broads is the space and the place for high achievers to stop tip-toeing around in their life and start confidently owning who they are and what they want. (And feel as confident as your internet friends and peers think you are.)
By the end of this group, you will feel more comfortable in your skin, more confident in your voice, and doing and asking for what you want is a no-brainer.
If you struggle with emotional eating- you know like, cramming a few candy bars in your mouth at 3 pm to get an ounce of relief from the compounding energy of work stress or inhaling a bag of chips and a couple of glasses of wine at 8 pm only to wake up at 6 am bloated and exhausted.
Or overthinking EVERY. SINGLE. THING. - "What if it doesn't worry? What if they don't like me? What do they really think of me?" Leaving you acting not at all like yourself and certainly not showing up as the bad b*tch that you know you are.
Or people-pleasing--- AKA saying yes to things you hate doing, caving on a request when you told yourself you wouldn't, skipping your workout because you have to do something for someone else, never pampering yourself but going above and beyond for others- then you DEFINITELY need to be in here because it is YOUR time to start getting, doing, and owning what you want.
You may be a delightful mix of all 3 and that is even better! We will take care of it all.
You can read more about this group HERE and a link for the Ballsy Broads Discovery Call is on the page or you can grab that HERE.
A reminder that there is an early bird price until Friday!
Ep 108: How to stop caring what other people think.
00:37:37
I took a poll on IG and FB and asked what you wanted to hear about on the podcast and self-trust and how to stop caring what other people think were the majority of your answers, so here we go!
In this week's episode, I share with you several specific steps you can take to stop caring what everyone else thinks and the golden thread that pulls it all together.
I also mentioned my hybrid group coaching program- Ballsy Broads.
I’m helping a small group of ambitious women end their own self-sabotage tendencies and show up to their life with more confidence in their voice, and more certainty in their actions.
At the end of these 5 months will have measurable growth in how much your self-confidence and trust have changed.
This might look like:
*simply showing up to social situations
*knowing what you are doing is enough
*learning to course correct when shit hits the fan without shutting down
*handling emotions in a way you feel good about
*trusting the choices you make
*laying your head down at night and feeling proud of yourself
Here you are, doing all this work to become a better human.
Investing in coaching and courses, changing your old habits, believing new things about yourself, doing some of the hardest work on yourself that you've ever done, and BAM..." I liked you better before", or "I don't know why you're doing all of this," and "I don't get it. I don't get you."
You are kicked in the crotch with confusion, dissatisfaction, and dislike by some of your closest friends and peers,
Well, babycakes, I gotta tell ya something you might not like to hear...but that is sort of the price of admission for doing things differently. Behaving differently. Carrying yourself differently. Or looking differently.
If this is you- if you've been in a phase of glowing up, showing up, and living it up, and others around you aren't as onboard as you would have hoped, plug this episode into your earholes STAT. - - - If you are interested in working together with me 1:1, I am currently accepting new clients.
I will then follow up with a link to book a call where we can hash through all the specifics of what working together could look like and make sure it's a go for us both, then move forward in the process.
Not ready to work together but want a little more goodness?
Continuing on my little spree of self-trust, this week let's talk about how the role of self-acceptance and body acceptance is a critical piece of this equation.
How often have you looked in the mirror and thought, "I should look different."
Every time you have a should come out of your mouth you are pushing yourself further away from self-trust.
In this episode, rejection and how it is at the core of everything we do or don't do. I talk about why reframing how you view rejection is critical in helping you achieve what you want in your life.
I also mentioned I am conducting some research calls over the next couple of weeks. If you are someone that has struggled with food and body stuff or you wish you could show up to your life with more confidence and certainty, I would LOVE to talk to you!!!
These calls are about 30 min and are extremely helpful !

This episode is FULL of gold from start to finish!
Hillary shares with us some BTS about what it was REALLY like transitioning from copywriter to creative director (and all the thoughts that came along for the ride), the truth about getting confident on camera, why you should STOP WAITING TO LOSE THE LAST 10-20 POUNDS before you get your photos taken, and what looks like to actually create, own, and dominate your power position in life.
Trust me, you want to connect with Hillary on IG.

Ep 114: How to listen to your body without giving up at life.
00:30:01
Do you ever have days where your brain says, " You COULD do more," or "You COULD push yourself harder", but your body says something else?
Most likely yes.
And this is because you have probably very rarely taken what your body needs into consideration. You have been all up in your head, literally shoving down (with food) everything your body is asking for.
In this episode, I discuss this and how to begin getting that conversation more balanced instead of just one way. - - - - Be sure to say hi to me over on IG HERE. You can also reach out to me or read more about what I offer on my SITE HERE.

Ep 115: 6 phases of change
00:37:27
As much as we would love change to be as simple as a before and after picture, it isn't.
There is a lot that happens between those two states and in this episode, I walk you through the 6 main phases I see every client experience and tips for you to implement so you can keep going.
At the end of the episode, I shared that I was opening my calendar for a few strategy calls. This is 30 minutes of focused time for you to bring your questions and sticking points and get specific feedback on how to move through them.
You can book that HERE. You can also visit my website HERE. Or follow me on the gram HERE.

Ep 116: Stalled by overthinking and overwhelm.
00:26:04
You have the idea, you feel ready, you are excited, and then... *crickets*
You do nothing. You decide you need to know just a little bit more, lose a little bit of weight, understand a little bit better, and THEN you will be ready.
THEN you can finally speak up, show up, and go after what you really want.
If overthinking and analysis paralysis are a self-sabotage style of yours, you better listen to this week's episode STAT.
I mentioned my summer workshop that I will be running.
Make sure you are on my email list to get all the info on that when I release it.

Ep 117: Self loathing to Self Loving with Rock n Roll Bride Kat Williams.
00:41:17
I had been following Kat for a while on IG and adored her profiles and message but it was when she made a post talking about the struggles she had overcome on her journey to where she is now that really pushed me over the edge to loving her.
I love seeing someone make it...AND...I love hearing about the setbacks and struggles along the way. Kat shares what her process was like overcoming self-loathing, self-harm, and disordered eating to ultimately falling in love with herself, her life, and creating an incredible business.
Kat is the founder and editor of Rock n Roll Bride magazine and Amazon #1 bestselling author of Rock n Roll Bride: The Ultimate Guide for Alternative Brides. Kat takes us through her journey from self-loathing to self-loving, body image, and building a business she adores.
Kat is passionate about inclusivity, using her platform to show that all kinds of people get married and deserve love and respect. Through her podcast, The Confidence Club ( which she mentioned has been on a hiatus) and small business mentoring programme, she encourages her audience to embrace their own unique selves and to look for the good in the world, especially in dark or uncertain times.
You can also follow the magazine on IG HERE or you can follow KAT HERE. I recommend both.

Ep 118: Real talk about sex drive, orgasms, fantasies, and more with Sex Therapist Dr. Bat Sheva
00:53:03
Sex is weird because we all do it but no one really talks about it - well, not in an honest way. We see it in movies and read about it in books but it is all pretty much the exact same thing - which is not at all like real life.
In this conversation, we break down some of the biggest fears and worries women have around sex, how to increase your sex drive, the importance of solo sex, acknowledging your fantasies, and truly so much more.
Every woman needs to listen to this episode and follow Dr. Bat Sheva to learn more from her.
Dr. Bat Sheva Marcus, a certified sex therapist, is the author of Sex Points: Reclaim Your Sex Life with the Revolutionary Multi-Point System and has spent her life helping women reclaim pleasure in their bodies and spirit. Ep 119 : Honor the season you're in.
00:34:40
If you want to feel more confident, trust yourself more, and feel more grounded and certain in who you are, learning this skill (honoring the season you are in) is what you need to practice.
When you compare yourself to where someone else is in life, it almost always makes you feel worse and question the path you are on.
But their path and your path will never look the same because you are not the same.
I hope you enjoy this podcast. I will admit, I got a little off course in there but hopefully, you get what you need from this episode.
**at one point in this episode you hear "they just wanted my body" which isn't what I meant to say, I meant to say money. :) When you hear it, you will know.
If you want to join the Summer of Self Confidence workshop, first, read more about it HERE.
Then email me @ rsaager86@gmail.com Or message me on IG to let me know you are joining late. I will get you caught up.
She is the SWEETEST HUMAN BEING and her account is full of helpful information regarding food neutrality and feeling comfortable in your body.

Bagels. Granola. Pasta. Pizza.
Basically anything besides protein and veggies, amiright?!
Ryann has started a fantastic thing on her social media where she helps you break up with your own fear foods. She normalizes the anxiety so many carry around certain foods and helps you move through it so you can ultimately create a fulfilling and satisfying life - outside of food.
Ryann Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), certified nutritionist, and certified weight-neutral health coach. Ryann specializes in helping women overcome binge eating, disordered eating, and poor body image through online courses, group programs, and individual work. Ep 122: Embrace the Suck.
00:17:54
The episode is not for you if everything in your life is going perfect.
This episode IS for you if you are doing some hard stuff, you are growing, you are changing, and a lot of the time you are thinking what in the actual F.
I mentioned FREE BALLIN FRIDAYS!!
During the month of August, I am hosting a free coaching call for YOU.
Have questions about emotional eating?
Not feeling satisfied in your career but don't know what to do?
Keep sabotaging your progress?
Whatever is going on for you, this hour every Friday in August is the place and the space for you to bring it.
If I had to guess, right now you are pretty darn good at NOT listening to what you need and pushing through with a "no matter what" mentality.
A lot of this “no matter what" way of being is glorified in our society.
How much can you push and suffer?
You don't eat when you are hungry. You eat when you are full. You push through when you are exhausted. You shove it down when you are frustrated.
But what happens over time, is all of that energy, anger, etc has to come out someway, and it is usually on yourself OR you react in a way you are later ashamed of.
In this episode, I talk about the discomfort threshold and how to recalibrate your own.
I am accepting new clients for September. If you would like to work together or learn more about what that could look like, FILL OUT THIS FORM.
This week I share about my recent travels to Colorado, eating a lot of food in preparation for a long run that didn't happen, and just feeling BLEH once I got back.
For many, traveling is a time when we get off our normal schedule, eat some different foods, and just live in a little bit of a different way. With those shifts, our body may as well, or at the very least how we feel in our body.
I share my own experience with this and give you some tips for your own travels.

Ep 126: Speaking up about your struggles and your strengths.
00:27:08
Should you tell someone when you aren't doing great or is that just being a debbie downer? What about when it is something you are kind of embarrassed by?
Or how about when you are actually doing fantastic! And you're ready to take some new risks and open yourself up to some things that you may not be 100% qualified for but you really want them.
I am talking to you this week about why sharing your strengths and struggles is crucial in getting what you really want.
I also mentioned HUNGRY BROADS, you can read more about it HERE. Or, just hop right on my calendar and we can chat about the details HERE.

One that you can enjoy! Emotional Regulation- I will teach you how to manage and process emotions so you don't need to turn to food to decompress, manage anxiety, or push through the day. Prioritize yourself- How you treat and think of yourself is about to get a massive upgrade. No more coming in last or settling for things that aren't actually okay. It's time for you to start owning exactly who you are + what you want.
And more...
If you are done having food and body stuff consuming your life. You are ready to close the door on binge and emotional eating so you can enjoy your damn life!
Get in here!!
The first thing you need to do is get on my calendar for a 30 min consult call. We will cover where you're at, what you are looking for, and make sure this will be a good fit for you.
The universe is trying to help you be really happy and successful, are you allowing it or pushing it away?
I know I was someone that would push it away.
"This isn't for me. This was just luck. It's probably going to end. The other shoe will drop."
Not anymore. - - - - Come say HI on the ol' INSTAGRAM. You can also check out my website HERE. I offer 1:1 and group coaching.

Ep 129: I'm worried they will noticed I gained weight.
00:22:02

Ep 130: Know yourself.
00:23:52
I bet there are things in your life that you do that you feel ashamed of. There are ways you act or react that you wish you didn't. There are weird quirks that you have that you think, "Why can't I just be normal?!"
In this episode, I share what some of those things are/were for me and why your ticket to freedom and confidence (and just a more enjoyable life) may actually be leaning into them and embracing what they are.
The truth is, we are all weird, we all have things. And you can keep trying to hide it, shove it down or away, or know yourself and work with it.
Be sure to connect with me on IG HERE. If you enjoyed this episode, I'd love it if you shared it on social media. Take a screen shot and tag me. You can also visit my website here to learn about the ways I work with clients.

Ep 131:How to change your old behaviors and how you show up for yourself.
00:27:32
"Does ANYONE else do this? Am I the only client you have had that has said this? Is change even possible at this point?"
If you have ever had those thoughts, fears, or questions, get into this episode immediately.
The idea that "people never change" is such BS.
You can always change.
Any age, any point in life, no matter how long you have been doing something.
But the most critical piece is: 1: That you actually WANT to change. 2: What I discuss in this episode.
So get in there and take a listen!
I also talked about Wrecking Ball- my private coaching program - is accepting new clients.
If you've been listening for a while, or even if you are new here, and you are at that tipping point of wanting to change how you show up to your life and biz. You feel a bit like you've outgrown your current life and results and you are ready to do things differently - this is exactly what you need.
There are links for the application or you can just click HERE to fill that out.
Within 24-36 I will send you a link to book a call where we can go into a bit more detail about where you're at, what you want, and how I see it all playing out.
Can't wait to chat with you!!

00:26:10
NEW LOOK, NEW INTRO, SAME WEIRDO!!!
To the long time OG listeners, I love you and won't be changing things up THAT aggressively. If you have listened to me for the last 3 months and been enjoying what you hear, there will be more of that coming down the pipe!
I made a little shift to my brand, my website, my offers, and my podcast.
I share a little about why I did this and also talk about what exactly getting "ballsy" is.
I'd LOVE a little extra help getting this new name out so if you could take a screenshot and share it and tag me I would love you for it! Or just send it to a friend that could use this in his or her life.
Thanks for being here!
Looking forward to....everything really :)

Ep 133: 3 things to look at when you aren't making the progress you want.

Ep 134: The cost of people pleasing
00:19:56
Buckle up my Broads because I am not holding back on this one.
A lot of people-pleasing talk gets thrown around. Why you do it, how to stop, where it stems from, etc. But there isn't a lot of talk about what the actual cost and repercussions are on yourself.
I'm giving it to you straight because someone needs to.
When you see the cost of what you are doing and how it is actually impacting your happiness and success, a different part of your brain opens up to the idea of change. You see things in a new way. And you do things in a new way. - - - - You can connect with me on the gram HERE. Or check out my website HERE.

00:45:18
Cat's outta the bag!
I am pregnant.
This week's episode is a little bit different than normal ones because I go hard on being pregnant, what gaining weight and being unable to eat vegetables is like, not knowing if I wanted kids and more.
I am not going to talk about being pregnant a lot but I wanted to dedicate one episode to it then we will get back to the usual.

Ep 139: Self trust + Rejection
00:21:55
Self-trust is something I talk about a lot with my clients.
Without it, you are forever wondering if you are doing enough, doing it right, or if so and so really likes you.
You become indecisive and ultimately drive yourself insane.
And sometimes you get hit with a, "You weren't trusting yourself again", lesson or reminder.
In this week's episode, I share with you a recent experience where I didn't trust myself, why, and what the outcome was. - - - If you have never rated or reviewed the podcast, I would appreciate it if you could take 60 seconds to do that! Ep 141: Why you need to stop worrying about what other people think.
00:20:54
What other people think.
WOOF.
It can eat you alive, prevent you from ever doing what you want, and consume your whole life.
OR - you can decide, "NOPE - I cannot afford to keep doing this."
In this week's episode, I share with you some different ways of looking at the reality of what happens when you focus on what other people think and how to let that 'ish go.

Ep 142: Different levels of love, hunger, fullness, and exhaustion.
00:29:15
I often hear from my clients an attempt at validating their....well, most everything honestly!
Looking for a substantial and justifiable reason for feeling the way they do.
Whether it is with love, hunger, fullness, or exhaustion - always hunting for a valid reason.
The problem with this is that there is more than one type of each. But as an all-or-nothing thinker or a perfectionist, you likely only think of 2 options.
In this episode, I share with you the different levels of love, hunger, fullness, and exhaustion.

Ep 143: Bet on yourself in 2023.
00:22:59
I am not really one for resolutions but I think if you are going to commit to something in 2023, it should be this:
BET ON YOURSELF.
Happy New Year!

EP 145: Interview with Ashely Liberty- Taking risks and opening a gym NOT focused on diet and weight loss.
00:50:20
Diet culture dropout, Onyx Sweat Society co-founder, community creator, and hype wrangler.
Wait- A gym that ISN'T weightloss focused or aesthetically obsessed?
THAT'S RIGHT!
I'm with Ashley Liberty on the podcast and we chat all about the process to her opening a business, realizing weightloss/nutrition/ body transformation "stuff" was not her jam (and fears around letting that go), and finding her own lane in the fitness industry - and a small town to boot.
Ashley Liberty is the co-founder and CEO of Onyx Sweat Society, a fitness brand focused on community and empowerment.
Once addicted to an unhealthy relationship with exercise and body dysmorphia, Ashley found recovery and became obsessed with helping others do the same by creating a movement experience that felt different than any traditional gym or class she’d been to before, by focusing solely on how the classes make them FEEL, to build strength from within.
Aside from running her biz, she enjoys building a life with her husband and raising their two children and one fur-child in the PNW.
Ashley is a real delight and I am excited to share her, her message, and her community with you.
Ep 146: Get over the fear of being seen + get ballsy in your life/biz.
00:29:47
"How exactly do you get ballsy in your biz and over the fear of being seen?"
That was a question I got a couple of weeks ago and decided to dedicate a whole episode to this topic.
If you aren't a biz owner, replace business with --> work, relationships, in the office, with my partner, etc. It's all very similar.
What the fear boils down to in almost all of us is "the fear of rejection" or being left.
But is being left worse or is never fully showing the hell up for yourself worse???
I give you some strategies to try in this episode to help you get over the fear of being seen and start showing up with bigger balls in your biz.
I also mentioned a limited-time offer I am doing. You can read all about that here! - - - - - Be sure to check my website to learn more about how to work together HERE. And come say hey on the gram HERE.

Ep 147: Interview with the Hungry Broads Group. Emotional eating, body image, speaking up, and more.
00:46:42
Ever wondered what it is really like being in a group with other women and talking about your binge eating or body image thoughts?
Ever think, "I must be the only one who has done this!"?
You are in luck.
I am sharing a behind-the-scenes interview with the ladies who recently wrapped up Hungry Broads.
Jamie, Casey, Anna, and Maura tell us all about their experience in Hungry Broads.
They share:
The countless attempts they tried to resolve their foodstuff before this group.
Fears before joining the group like- what if this doesn't work? Is this really worth it??
How it was talking about topics that their partners didn't even know about.
How their food is now actually pretty boring.
Ways their life has changed now that food isn't front and center.
And more!
If you want to join the next round of Hungry Broads, add your name to the waitlist HERE. The next group will not be starting until the Fall of 2023.
If you don't want to wait that long, you can connect with me to hear about other options for working together that we can start much sooner.
How often do you talk yourself OUT OF doing something amazing because it seems like too much work or just doesn't make sense?
That's a very reasonable and logical approach but the things you are talking yourself out of may just be the ticket to every single thing you want.
Some of the best experiences in your life will not add up.
Some of the best memories you make will be created by accident.
In this episode, I share more about the true cost of fun and what it takes to do cool shit in your life. But more importantly, why we must stop trying to make it all make sense and just do the damn thing.
Come say hey on IG HERE. Or check out my website HERE.

Ep 149: Stop forcing your life + being mad at everyone and start enjoying the hell out of it and yourself.
00:25:08
As a motivated person that works hard and has probably been told you have a strong work ethic your entire life - this episode may break your brain a little.
Because what I am suggesting in here may actually be your biggest fear and what you have avoided for as long as you can remember.
If you find yourself triggered by what I am saying, good. Listen to this episode again in a week.
If you find yourself feeling relieved by what I am saying, EXCELLENT! Follow that thread and trust it!
You have been told to work harder, your rigorous, push through no matter what mentality has been applauded, and your ways of being "so accommodating" which was just you agreeing with someone else then taking the frustration out on yourself later were enjoyed by many - until now.
We are letting go of all of that. - - - - You can read more about how I work with clients on my website HERE. And be sure to come say HEY over on IG HERE.

Ep 150: Butt shots, blood clots, and having a baby -- my experience with having a c-section + dealing with life when sh*t hits the fan.
00:42:33
IM BACK!!
Hey, guess what? I had a baby! He was a month and a half early which is why I missed a couple of weeks of releasing episodes - hopefully, you can forgive me. :)
In this episode, I catch you up on what's happened over the last few weeks but also how to deal with life when sh*t hits the fan.
For many many years of my life, I was someone that made a schedule that went down to 15-minute intervals. I knew how I wanted everything to be and look and as long as everything stayed on plan, I was good!
BUT!
Life doesn't care about your plan. Life doesn't care how much time and attention you pour into things, life has its own plans. And if you don't learn how to go with it instead of against it, whether that is your weekend plans, your body, your relationships, your kids, etc- you will feel kinda crazy, irritable, and on edge.
In this episode, I also share about how to keep your goals but loosen the death grip on them so you can actually enjoy the process.
And I have a favor to ask of you. If you have a favorite episode or one you revisit, would you mind telling me what it is?
I am thinking about resharing some of my older podcasts that had a big impact on listeners. If one comes to your mind, even if you can't remember the title, will you send me a message on IG or email me (renae@renaesaager.com) and let me know which one it was?
I would really appreciate it!

Ep 151: Don't get brainwashed by other people's insecurities.
00:25:06
You stop second-guessing yourself when you become rock solid on your own choices. You stop comparing when you know you are doing what you need and want to do.
But do you know why the second-guessing comes up in the first place? Or why you feel guilty - when you feel guilty? Or have you ever been in a group of people and they all start talking about their body and suddenly you feel terrible about your own?
You are being brainwashed by other people's insecurities.
Most people aren't aware they are pushing their own ideas and beliefs on you, but really, they can't help it.
You believe a number of things in your life and I'd be you never stop to ask yourself, "Why do I believe this?"
Maybe it is about your relationship, your education, your body, your workout routine, your diet, etc.
In this episode, I share a recent situation that left me second-guessing myself because I was buying into other people's insecurities. I give you several examples that are likely showing up in your own life where you are being brainwashed and completely unaware of it.
Enjoy this week's episode. - - - If you are interested in working together, fill out this form and I will follow up with a link to book a call.

Ep 152: Speaking up, showing up, and doing what you love. Interview with Natalie Rose Baldwin - Brewmaster
00:53:19
Natalie Rose Baldwin is a Brewmaster, dog mom, and friend from Portland that I have constantly been in awe of.
When I met her she was working as a Valet at a hotel and I was working at a job I hated. Not long after I met her, she had left the hotel and started working at a brewery pouring beer. And before I knew it, she was getting printed in magazines and winning awards for her own beers.
I was blown away by how quickly she was excelling in her career! She followed a less-than-conventional path in life that took off like wildfire.
Did she have some secret knowledge that led her to grow so quickly and rise to the top? That's usually what I think when I see someone blow up in life. This wasn't the case for Natalie though.
In this episode, Natalie tells us:
How she went from working as a valet to being an award-winning brewer.
The main reason she kept excelling in her career.
Being a woman in a male-dominated field.
Managing her anxiety + being awkward.
The challenge of leaving a job she loved.
And more...
Natalie is incredibly kind and generous with her knowledge and holds nothing back. She spills all of her behind-the-scenes growth and fears with us in this interview.
*I also love Natalie because she is obsessed with her dog, Beef. And I love and trust anyone infatuated with their dog.* - - - Natalie Rose Baldwin, Brewmaster at Wayfinder beer in Portland, Oregon. Worked as Research & Development Brewer at Breakside Brewery from 2017-2023., and has been brewing since 2014. She started in the industry pouring beer and washing kegs, quickly learning to brew at Burnside Brewing in the fall of 2014.
In early 2017 Baldwin was hired as a Production Brewer at Breakside Brewery and later that year was promoted to Breakside's Research and Development Brewer. Natalie's brewing interests vary with a predominant focus on esoteric lagers, saisons, and specialty beers using seasonal flowers, tea, spices, and fruit.
Natalie has won several medals at the Great American Beer Festival and is also a professional Judge at GABF & WBC, works with the Oregon Brewers Guild Diversity and Equity Committee, is a Portland Area Pink Boots Portland Chapter Co-Leader, and was a recipient of a Pink Boots Scholarship in 2018.
Outside of work she enjoys traveling, backpacking, baking, and frolicking in fields of flowers with her dog Beef.

Ep 153: Wanting to lose weight.
00:34:15
I'll be the first to admit this podcast is a little scattered but I hope you can stay with me.
I have been asked several times about weight loss, wanting to lose weight, when can you lose weight, etc over the last 2 weeks so I wanted to put on an episode on it.
I typically only have this conversation in a 1:1 manner but I wanted to share some of my larger thoughts and ideas on the topic, such as:
Can you lose weight?
Is it wrong to focus on weight loss?
When can you focus on weight loss?
What has to happen before you focus on weight loss.
Why your previous weight loss attempts haven't worked.

Ep 155: Why intuitive eating isn't working for you.
00:21:38
Intuitive eating is something that I think can be really helpful when you are repairing your relationship with food but it certainly isn't the thing that is going to fix everything.
When you come from the world of dieting, you are essentially brainwashed into believing that you NEED a plan to follow.
You couldn't possibly know how to feed yourself.
But all this does is cut off all trust in yourself.
All it does is create even more space between your brain and your body. I am sure you have had days where you are hungry and don't eat or when you are stuffed but can't stop eating. And if you are like most of us, that has gotten worse over time. It isn't that you can't trust yourself, it is actually the restriction and meal plans leading you to keep that cycle going.
In this episode, I share with you a real-life moment from the weekend where I break down how I view intuitive eating in my own life. - - - You can read more about the ways I work with clients HERE. You should also come say HI on the gram HERE.

Ep 156: Don't let the world rush you. Interview with trail runner + Wildwood Candle Co. founder - Kylie Antolini
00:56:58
You go to school, get the job, and life starts lining up the way it "should".
But what happens when you think about that life for the next 40+ years and it isn't what you want?
You take a leap of faith and go after what you do.
Kylie Antolini, proprietor and founder of Wildwood Candle Co., is an avid trail runner and candle-obsessed connoisseur. Wildwood Candle Co. is the manifestation of her love affair with candle fragrance, trail running, and Forest Park. Inspired to share her love, gratitude, and enthusiasm for the park in a scent-delivered form is how it all came about. The Wildwood trail is her favorite to run on, as it is relatively mild in elevation change, well-maintained, and accessible from many areas of the park. The branded blue diamonds inspire her to keep making progress in running and candle making.
Kylie tells us all about her journey of working full time as a dental hygienist and pouring candles out of a tiny space in her home to eventually quitting her job and going full time into Wildwood Candle Co. Kylie now has her product in many local Portland shops as well as Whole Foods and REI. Kylie tells us all about how her business came to life and all the ups and downs along the way.
Be sure you check out Kylie's candles. They smell SO GOOD!!! The names of the candles and scents are inspired by her runs in Forest Park.
With scents of "Leif Erikson", "Wild Wood", "Dog Wood" and more you are going to be transported to the best place in Portland, from your own home!
You definitely want one of these burning in your house at all times.
Peep them HERE. You can also follow her on IG HERE. - - - - As always, be sure to come hang with me on IG HERE. You can also read more about how I work with clients HERE.

Ep 159: The sabotage style that prevents you from getting everything you want.
00:20:06
You may be completely unaware you are doing this because as women especially, we are taught that this is the polite thing to do.
But in reality- all it does is prevent you from getting what and where you want.
And it is the simple act of pushing back on what is being given to you.
Maybe it is a compliment, maybe it is money, maybe it is an opportunity.
Time and time again I see women push away what others want to give them.
In this episode, I talk about why you do that and why this behavior has to change. - - - - - To learn more about working together, check out my site HERE. And be sure to connect with me on IG HERE.

Ep 162: 3 Reasons why you need to stop asking your friends and family for advice.
00:15:57
If you find yourself consulting your friends and family before you take big leaps in your life or even just want to get a different hairstyle, listen to this episode.
Not because I think you should never ask them but there are a few things to consider before they do. Things that will impact their decision and keep you from becoming the person and having the life you want.
In this episode, I share the required step for true confidence. . .
When I was in NYC, Chris Rock showed up at the venue we were at, unannounced, and did stand up for about an hour. And there was something about his performance that really stuck with me and how it is the exact process we all go through to get solid confidence. The part that we all want to skip, but the best of the best know that they can't.
Enjoy!

You are kicked in the crotch with confusion, dissatisfaction, and dislike by some of your closest friends and peers,

Ep 181: Closing up shop; the other side of entrepreneurship. Interview with retired yoga studio owner, Jamie King.
00:56:12
It's easy, and maybe even the most common path people take, to assume everyone with their own business is racking up the dough, has a line of people dying to pay them, and sleep soundly at night because they choose to follow their passion in life.
Errrr...(record scratch)
Yes, that certainly can happen but if you are a small business owner or have tried to go down your own path - you know the reality of it. Which we hear about in this episode.
But, spoiler alert - It is hard!
Jamie shares her real, raw, and vulnerable story of opening her dream studio and reaching a point (which was anything by easy) and deciding to call it quits.
A story we rarely hear, because honestly who wants to talk about this, but it is important that we do.
Jamie shares the reasons behind closing the doors to her studio, the toll it was taking on her mental health, rebounding with a VERY full summer (and some very long runs), and what she plans to do next. - - Jamie is the creator of The Flow Collective, and a recovering (aka re(ally)tired) yoga studio owner. She is a 500-Hour E-RYT, 95-Hour RCYT, 85-Hour RPYT, and Master HIIT & Flow Instructor.
She has over 20 years of meditation and yoga practice, and has led numerous teacher trainings, retreats, and events.
She is known for her challenging and creative sequencing, and ability to draw even the most skeptical yogis into yoga. Her style is dynamic and powerful sequences that mix in creative movements with asanas, while cultivating shared awareness.

Ep 185: Disordered eating, ultra running, and mental training with Wellness + Running Coach Danielle Snyder
00:53:42
In this podcast, we chat about Danielle's personal journey through disordered eating, and distorted body image, how she maintains her mental health while running 100-mile races and doing life on her terms.
Danielle is an avid ultra-marathoner who is constantly reminded of the importance of mental training in addition to physical training. Athletes pour money into enhancing their physical strength and ignore their well-being (low mood, anxiety, and depressive symptoms). Danielle specializes in helping athletes avoid the pitfalls of negative self-talk, so that they can achieve more balance in all parts of their lives. Using her four core principles, she guides her clients along their paths to physical and mental well-being, helping athletes reach their potential. Danielle is a Certified Running Coach and a licensed clinical social worker with extensive additional training.

Dropping Miles off with a sitter for the first time and the unexpected reaction I had to it.
The pressure we carry to do it all, and then more, and then a little more after that, and somehow still don't feel like we have done enough.
How to decide if you should keep taking on the tasks and saying yes or if it is time to unload some things onto someone else- even if you have the time.

Ep 193: F*ck "Impossible & audacious" goals
00:16:26
BARF.
I can't stand hearing about people sell their "impossible and audacious goal setting" classes to you.
