This week on Days of Our Lives we see 54 years of history in the making with the first African American on-air marriage of Eli and Lani! Of course, not without some daytime drama and hiccups like Lani's mother fainting during the ceremony due to low blood sugar, and then Gabi crashing the wedding in her fabulous icicle jumpsuit. Julie and the guests quickly shut her down and just when poor Lani catches her breath Vivian Alamain returns for revenge! Holding Lani at gunpoint, Lani pleads not just for her life but the life of her unborn child. Thankfully, Rafe steps in and disarms Vivian but nerves are rattled to say the least. Will these two ever get married? YES!  Vows are exchanged, brooms are jumped and Lani and Eli share a romantic wedding night.
Meanwhile, Gabi is freed from charges of poisoning Abigail and is determined to prove Jake's identity. She gets the DNA results and with Jake present, discovers that he is indeed Stefan O. Dimera. Jake is completely overwelmed and on the suggestion of Gabi meets his mother, Vivian, for the first time while she waits at the police station on charges of attempted murder. He's convinced Gabby and Vivian are certifiable and flies into the arms of Gwen who won't give him up without a fight.
Meanwhile against Ben's wishes, Ciara continues to let Claire act as maid of honor and the two go shopping for wedding dresses. Ciara finds the dress of her dreams and it's Claire's responsibility to return the dress to the boutique. Ciara is later told by the boutique that the dress has been found full of nail polish and is destroyed. Cut to Claire doing her nails...is she truly recovered from her breakdown or is she on another revenge plot against Ciara?
Other storylines have Allie wanting to adopt her baby out and choosing Rafe as the most likely candidate, while Will and Sonny step in saying they'd like to adopt the baby.
Kristen surprises Lani with a quick visit to congratulate her and accidentally runs into Brady. Will the two leave town together? Not before Chad finds them and asks for her Dimera shares to give him leverage to ward off Gabby.

This week on Days of Our Lives with John as hostage, Orpheus sets his plan in motion! Marlena and Steve meet him and prepare to make the exchange when Steve zaps Orpheus through his cell phone rendering him unconscious. He's arrested however, it's not so clear for Zoey who we discover has a child who is being held captive. Rafe and Hope let Zoey go once David has been found.
Though Orpheus has been captured he leave one last "gift" for John and Marlena; A bomb under the couch! Fortunately, Hope finds it, and saves the day getting it out in time.

Steveano finally reveals himsef at the New Years Eve party as Patch and attends the event with Hope (Gina). Kayla confronts Steveano and ask why he is in town. Steveano tells her that he is not there for her but for Merlena to protect her from Stefano. John is happy to see his partner back in town but still questions why Patch wouldn't contact him first and make a surpise entrance at the party. Kayla leaves the party heartbroken with Justin furious at Patch. The next storyline the host discuss is Kristen, Brady, Nicole, Chad, Abigail, Gabi, Eli, and Lani. Kristen confronts both Brady and Nicole about seeing them together. Kristen tries to win Brady back but he feels like Kristen hasn't changed and leaves with Nicole. Both Eli and Gabi go to Kirsten's hotel room confronting her about the situation but Lani is the one that answers the door. Eli and Gabi asks if she was the one who threw the flower pot through the window but Lani denies that she was there. After both Eli and Gabi leave Kristen's hotel room Gabi tells Eli that she forgot her earring in the hotel room. Gabi said she will be meet Eli back at the mansion so they can celebrate their New Years together. When Gabi returns to back to the hotel room she threatens Lani to stay away from Eli or she will destroy Julie's heart through the app. Chad and Abigail have a meeting with Kristen about her shares. Chad accidentally tell Kristen that he has been in contact with Stefano.

This week on Days of Our Lives the reveal of the baby switch finally comes to light. Nicole tells Eric the truth about what really happened to baby Mickey. Eric then reveals the awful truth to Sarah. Rafe, Lani, and Eli are still searching for David. They find Evan/Christian in a hotel room where his father (Orpheus), David, and him have been hiding out at. Orpheus and David left the hotel room before Rafe, Eli, and Lani showed up. Rafe brings Evan/Christian down to the police station for questioning but sets him free. Lani and Eli continue to follow Evan/Christian around Salem.
Hope/Gina has the surgery to get the chip removed and Hope is back to herself again having no memory of what has happened the past year and a half.
Xander proposes to Sarah and she says yes! Nicole is still suspicious of Xander and believes that Mickey is really Rachel (Brady and Kristen's daughter). Nicole collects a DNA sample from Mickey and gets a piece of Kristen's hair. Chad still continues with his weird behavior and Stevano demands that Chad kills Kate and Gabi. Kate picks up on Chad acting weird and confronts him that Chad's behavior is like Stefano. Chad knocks both Kate and Gabi unconscious. Abigail returns back to Salem. Stevno is still holding Marlena hostage. The chip that Rolf implanted in her is starting to take over and Marlena thinks Stevano is her King.

Happy Mothers Day! Rex confronts Sarah and tries to convince her to go back to Salem and bring back baby Rachel. Sarah gets upset especially when she finds out that Brady is in jail and she would be giving the baby back to Kristen. When Rex calls Kristen, leaving her a voicemail that he has important news, Sarah knocks him out and ties him up. She breaks down in front of Rex, expressing that she can’t trust no one in Salem. Xander visits Maggie in jail and tells her that he and Victor switched Sarah and Kristen’s baby. Maggie breaks down when she realizes that she killed her own granddaughter when she ran Sarah and Adrienne off the road. Kristen confesses to Lani that she was the one who stabbed Victor. Lani decides to help Kristen escape from the police station and help her find Rachel. She connects with Theo who is able to track down Rex’s call from Kristen phones and lets Kristen know that the call came from Paris. Gabi believes that Jake is really Stephen and kisses him. While Ben is at the body shop two mysterious guys knock him out thinking he was Jake.

This week on Days of Our Lives Kayla has made her decision regarding Steve and Justin. Steve make a BIG mistake when he makes up Kayla's mind for her saying she's better off with Justin. Orpheus kidnaps David, ties Zoey up, and holds John hostage. Marlena has to give Orpheus 15 million dollars in exchange for her husband. Victor receives a letter from Maggie that he needs to make a mends with Brady. She tells him that she can't live with herself knowing that she got behind the wheel drunk, killing two important people she loves and decides to take her own life. Victor calls Xander when he can't get through to anyone working at the jail cell to go save Maggie. Xander arrives at the Salem jail cell in time to revive Maggie (who attempted to strangle herself) and get her seen by a doctor. Xander tells Maggie that she didn't cause the accident and was framed by Orpheus and Evan/Christian. Sarah and Brady plan on teaming up to take down Xander and Victor. Gabi is arrested because the serum that Dr. Rolf gave her had the same ingredients that was used to drug Abby. Chad is going to Florida with Abby to  get help while Jack and Jennifer watch the kids.
