10 Feb 2019 | Why You Weren't Able To Get Straight A's | 00:28:24
GPA is the #1 factor in getting accepted into your dream Ivy League and top-tier colleges. Knowing this, high school students stay up until 2 AM studying for APUSH, AP Chemistry, or writing English papers. However, no matter what you do, you can’t seem to get an A on your APUSH chapter test. You’re always landing at the B and C range. No matter how hard you study, it doesn’t work. You start blaming your teachers for giving you too much work and you start to lose motivation. “With my B’s and/or C’s, will I be able to get accepted into my dream college?” In the worst scenario, you start to doubt your capacity as a student. Am I smart enough? Good enough? Today, I’m going to share with you why you weren’t able to get A’s on your quizzes and tests even though you studied. This episode has nothing to do with surface-level and generic strategies such as sleep early, don’t procrastinate, ask your friends, create a study group, and the like. This is a powerful episode that will shift your mindset and identity so that you can get your first A on your next chapter test.

31 Dec 2020 | How To Decide Your College Major | 00:30:58
As we enter this new year, I am excited to share with you another coaching session I had with my Passion Project Bootcamp student, Erica! I’m sharing this coaching call with Erica on the podcast because I want you to see what it would look like if you were to work with me inside of The Passion Project Bootcamp or The Ivy League Formula Program. In this episode with Erica we cover a lot of different important topics, and I answer the biggest questions she has. This includes whether or not she should work on her Passion Project with friends, and how to motivate them if this is what she ultimately decides to do. We also look at how she can navigate things if there’s a shift in her academic interests and major, and so much more. I think you’ll learn a lot about the many ways to make your application stand out, and the different ways to show who you are to colleges that you want to get accepted to. Remember, it’s not about showing the best side of yourself always, and having 10, 20 or even 30 extracurriculars. It’s more about showing who you are in the most authentic and compelling way, and then backing that up with evidence. If you are like Erica and have questions about the college admissions process, then I really want you to check out my free training! You can register for the free training here. This is where I share strategies that will help you land research and intern positions, create amazing passion projects, and get awesome results for your college admissions journey. Today I have a coaching session with my Passion Project Bootcamp student, Mercedes. I’m so grateful to attract amazing students like Mercedes who are so committed to their goals and motivated to achieve them. In this episode Mercedes and I cover a lot of different topics, and I actually got a little emotional after this call because of all that she is doing in regards to her Passion Project (and all that I know she will accomplish in the future). Mercedes is currently in the brainstorming phase for her Passion Project, and from talking with her I can really sense how much she wants to help and give back to her community. You’re going to hear how she’s doing this, and why she’s so passionate about the political system in the United States. This episode really is a reminder that we are all here to do good in the world, and it reminds me why I do what I do in helping my students. 20 Jul 2021 | Is Your Passion Project Good Enough? | 00:30:06
About 6 months ago, I started interviewing Passion Project Bootcamp students and sharing those coaching sessions with listeners here on the podcast. We received so much good feedback from listeners that resonated with these episodes, telling us how much they learned about our coaching process in Passion Project Bootcamp, as well as the support they can expect by joining the program. In this episode, I am interviewing and coaching another one of my Passion Project Bootcamp students, Zeeshan. His main question is how he can really know if his idea for a Passion Project is good enough, and the ways that he can make it even better. This is a frequently asked question we get, which is why I wanted to share it with you today in the hopes that the way I coach Zeeshan with this topic will help you as well. Remember, this is about more than just creating a Passion Project, it’s really about self-exploration and getting to know yourself in order to get outside of your comfort zone. When you do, that is where the growth really happens. 21 Aug 2020 | Why my students decided to work with me | 00:25:23
For today’s episode I’m excited to be interviewing two students of my 6-month college consulting program, The Ivy League Formula! Brianna just completed the program and Natalie is currently a student, and these amazing young ladies both share why they decided to say “Yes” to enrolling in the program, any hesitations they had before doing so, and some of the big results they’ve been able to create in their college admissions process so far. A lot of parents and students wonder who they will work with as they approach the process, and they are looking for support, accountability, strategies and resources to help them on this journey. The Ivy League Formula is closed until 2021, but I highly recommend that you join me for my free masterclass, where I’ll teach you the 4 mistakes that you must avoid in the college admissions process, as well as the 4-step process you can implement right away to create a stand out factor in your application and up level your college admissions portfolio.
