20 Feb 2024Whatley Manor, The Cotswolds / Old world charm with serious eco credentials 00:37:07

Sometimes you just can’t beat a classic. And having recently celebrated its twentieth anniversary, Whatley Manor has long been a pillar of the Cotswold hospitality scene.

Venture down the tree lined meandering drive and you’ll stumble upon a cluster of ivy-clad buildings, manicured lawns and sun drenched terraces for soaking in long summer evenings. The food is refined and comforting, served with old school finesse while the hotel has cemented its sustainability credentials in everything from its spa to its kitchens.

And here to tell Molly all about it is Michele Melle, who has spent the past 20 years working in hotels including Claridge's and Barnsley House and recently took over the helm as Whatley Manor's General Manager.

27 Feb 2024Cowley Manor / A whimsical reimagination of a country house hotel00:33:56

"Oh how I long to run away from normal days, I want to run wild with my imagination"

Home to a secret garden said to have inspired Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Cowley Manor is quite simply a magical, almost whimsical reinterpretation of the English country house.

Following a takeover by the brilliant Experimental Group, this sprawling estate has been brought firmly into the modern age with bold interiors that are all about celebrating eccentricity with a big old dollop of joy. Here to tell Molly all about it is Xavier Padovani who joined the group in 2010 and has brought spaces to life around Europe and NYC.

Join Molly and Xavier as they talk about creating a space for locals and tourists alike to wander the extensive grounds, laze away the days in the (rather spectacular spa) or dive into a long evening of feasting.
