18 Mar 2024 | Schoolgirl Beaten into COMA by RAGING 'MEAN GIRL,' 15 | 00:41:30
Minutes after the school day ends, students from Hazelwood East High School in St. Louis County Missouri, gather to watch the end of a fight between two teen girls. Kaylee Gain and her alleged attacker Maurnice DeClue square off and DeClue quickly gets the upper hand, pulling Gain to the ground. DeClue pummels Gain in the head and upper body. As Gain is on her back on the pavement, a bystander tries to intervene by trying to get the unnamed girl off Kaylee Gain. The bystander is quickly rushed by two other girls who push her back from the fight and begin a separate fight of their own while Gain is being pounded by a closed fist to the head and upper body, DeClue proceeds to pull Kaylee Gain's head about two feet above the concrete, then slams Gain's head into the cement. The first hit renders Kaylee Gain unable to defend herself as her assailant quickly pulls her back up off the concrete and lifting her head further than the first time, smashes the head of Kaylee Gain back into the cement again. The sound of the back of her head hitting concrete is such a sickening thud, and observers realize something terrible has happened. The attacker, as well as those who have observed the beating, move on to other fights taking place while Kaylee Gain is left alone, unconscious on the pavement. As EMTs arrive, Kaylee Gain is convulsing. St. Louis Police stated a 15-year-old suspect has been arrested and is being held in St. Louis County Family Court on assault charges. The determination is still to be made whether DeClue will be charged as an adult. Maurnice DeClue's family says she is the victim and has been repeatedly bullied. They say she was lured to the fight location. Joining Nancy Grace Today:

25 Sep 2024 | TEEN SON SAYS MOM 'FELL ON KNIFE' A YEAR AFTER HE SHOT DAD DEAD, MOM'S LAST TEXT REVEALED | 00:40:49
Polk County Sheriff's deputies respond to a 911 call from a home in Auburndale, Florida. Inside, they find 39-year-old Catherine Griffith lying face down with a kitchen knife in her neck. She is pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators begin canvassing the neighborhood to determine what led to Catherine's death. The case background begins when, after 20 years of marriage, Catherine Griffith leaves her husband, Charles Griffith. She alleges that Charles abused her and their two sons, Christopher and Collin, for years. Christopher, 20, no longer lives at home, but custody disputes arise over 13-year-old Collin, who goes to live with his father in Oklahoma. Catherine claims Charles cut off her contact with Collin after he begged her to rescue him, accusing her ex-husband of "holding Collin hostage" since he came out as gay. Charles, however, contends that Collin no longer wants contact with Catherine because she is "unstable" and that he restricted communication after Catherine sent Collin a photo of a handwritten suicide note. A judge rules that Collin will remain in Oklahoma with his father. Tensions escalate on Valentine’s Day when Collin calls 911 to report he shot and killed his father. He tells the operator his father attacked him and chased him with a knife through their home. When cornered in a bedroom, Collin says he grabbed a shotgun and shot Charles in self-defense. Investigators, unable to rule out self-defense based on the 911 call and home evidence, send Collin to live with his mother in Florida. Catherine's social media posts suggest she and Collin are happy together, as they travel to Washington D.C., take a Disney cruise, and celebrate Collin’s early graduation and his first car purchase. However, friends and family describe a more troubled relationship. Collin frequently argues with his mother and struggles with his mental health. On September 6, Collin leaves after a disagreement over household chores and goes to his grandmother's house. Despite several attempts to bring Collin home, Catherine confides in a neighbor about her exhaustion in dealing with her son. She texts that she has cleared out Collin’s room and will not allow him back without her permission. The neighbor also tries to convince Collin to return, but he ignores her. Catherine says she plans to meet Collin at his grandmother’s home the following day as a last-ditch effort to bring him back before he misses a probation meeting, warning that if he doesn't comply, law enforcement will intervene. Ryan Borgwardt is back in the USA after months of living in the country of Georgia. After searching Green Lake for almost two months, a change in the investigation strategy gets results right away, when it is discovered that Borgwart has his passport checked by Canadian authorities one day after he is reported missing. Since local law enforcement found his Passport in his house when he disappeared, a simple investigation finds that Ryan Borgwardt claims his passport was lost and he is issued a new one three months before he vanishes. Before returning, Borgwardt records a video saying he is safe and secure, wrapping up the video saying, "hope this works". Borgwardt does not give exact details about where he is located. The video is then sent to the sheriff's office. Ryan Borgwardt tells authorities how he was able to fake his death and make his escape. First, he says he travels about 50 miles from his home in Watertown to Green lake. On the lake, he overturns his kayak, dumps his phone in the lake and paddles to shore using an inflatable boat for children. Borgwardt tells investigators he chose Green lake because it is the deepest lake in Wisconsin, nearly 240 feet deep. Now Borgwardt's wife has filed for a separation.

Cobb County, Georgia, police and EMTs respond to a 911 call reporting an unconscious person just before 8:30 a.m. They find a woman’s body in a bush, her face partially covered by her disheveled sweater. Police say she has been dead for several hours and that there are signs of a struggle. Authorities identify the woman as Camillia Williams, a mother of five. Detectives with the Cobb County Police Department spend two days searching the neighborhood where Williams’ body was found. Investigators block off the street while collecting evidence and knock on neighbors’ doors, looking for witnesses and surveillance footage. A neighbor across the street from where Williams was found turns over Ring doorbell footage, revealing the entire attack on video. The footage shows a young man closely following Williams. When she turns to tell him to leave her alone, he rushes at her. The video shows the man wrapping Williams in a chokehold and dragging her to bushes in front of a home on Pat Mell Road. When she goes limp, he puts both knees on her neck and kneels there for several minutes, preventing her from breathing. He then casually walks away. About 10:42 p.m., surveillance video captures Coles withdrawing money from an ATM inside a pharmacy. Police say Coles exited the business three minutes later. That is the last time Coles is seen. Police eventually questioned a man, identified as a ‘person of interest,’ who is seen parking a vehicle outside Kierra’s apartment. This person has not been identified by police, although Coles' family believe they know who it is. Officers say the man gave several different accounts of what occurred. Again, a person of interest has not been named and no charges have been filed in this case. Joining Nancy Grace Today:

25 Mar 2025 | DIDDY'S KANYE DOUBLE-CROSS, KIM KARDASHIAN DRAGGED IN | 00:41:07
A recorded phone call between Kanye West and Sean Combs has been used in a new song. The recording leaked just as West released his latest track, Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine. The song features samples from the jailhouse call, a verse from Combs’ son, Christian “King” Combs, and West’s daughter, North. As West faces backlash from ex-wife Kim Kardashian over North’s inclusion, a source claims Combs now feels like “he’s collateral damage.” The source added that Combs believed the call was a sincere expression of concern for him and his family and is now embarrassed to be caught in the crossfire. Kardashian is fighting to stop West from releasing the song, calling it “irresponsible” and a blatant disregard for North’s future and reputation. She first reminded West that she holds a trademark for their daughter's name, then sought emergency mediation with a judge. West did not appear. Although his X post featuring the song was quickly deleted, fans had already reposted the audio across the internet. As Combs’ trial approaches, his defense team is pushing to block evidence from the courtroom. Attorneys argue that the widely circulated video of Combs attacking then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura was altered to misrepresent the altercation. Prosecutors, however, claim to have the original, unedited footage from the Intercontinental Hotel. Supporting their case is Combs’ own apology video, which appears to confirm the video's authenticity. Defense attorneys are also challenging evidence seized in federal raids, accusing investigators of “grossly misrepresenting facts” to obtain search warrants. Joining Nancy Grace today:

12 Mar 2024 | BUSTED: Man Makes 'ACCIDENTAL CONFESSION' TO MURDER | 00:42:34
April 23, 1993: the owner of Ajax Liquor store, Steve Weltig, is found dead on the floor on the floor of his shop. Investigators say it appears a struggle took place just before Weltig is shot in the head. Detectives work the case and develop a suspect sketch, but no real evidence leading to a killer is found and the case goes cold. The case is assigned to different investigators over the years. New leads are investigated, and evidence is collected. In 2015, reliable tips led detectives to Loril Harp. Harp's former wife contacted police and told them Loril Harp shot Weltig. She tells detectives she did not drive her former husband to the liquor store on the day of the murder. She was at home and when Harp came home that morning he immediately took a shower. She tells police her ex-husband tells her he just shot a man in an Arnold liquor store. A friend and former co-worker of Weltig's also tells Arnold police that Harp told him that he shot Weltig. Harp is brought in for an interview but investigators fail to gather enough evidence to seek charges for the murder. Twenty-seven years after the murder of Steve Weltig, another set of detectives take over the case. Looking back over the case file, they watch the 2015 interview with Loril Harp. In that interview, detectives leave the room for a few minutes. During the break, Loril Harp makes a call on his cell phone and what he says lights a fire under the investigation. Loril Harp tells the person on the phone that he is not under arrest, but "I probably will be before I leave here." The detectives recognize this as a near admission that Loril Harp is expecting something after all these years. Harp is brought back in for a new interview. Investigators Cpl. Brett Acklermann and Detective Corporal Josh Wineinger spend hours talking to Loril Harp. At 68 years old, Harp is in bad health and needs 24-hour nursing care. During his interview with the detectives, Loril Harp says he did not shoot Steve Weltig multiple times. Harp admits that he and Weltig got into a fight, and Harp says he hit Weltig a few times and left. Harp claims he went home and took a shower, right away. And the detectives begin talking about cleaning up the blood when Harp is asked if he had a little blood on him, Harp replies "I must have if I shot him." This phrase is all detectives need. 14 Feb 2025 | DIDDY AND KANYE TO SHARE SAD CHICKEN PATTY FOR VALENTINE'S DINNER? | 00:41:49
Sean “Diddy” Combs will spend a lonely Valentine’s Day in the MDC after filing his second defamation suit against NBC, receiving two new lawsuits alleging sexual assault, and prematurely accepting support from Kanye West, whose days-long meltdown on X has likely ended his career. Instead of breakfast in bed, Combs will eat cereal in the mess hall at 6 a.m., returning five hours later for a chicken patty sandwich or chickpea burger. Instead of champagne and caviar, he will have chili with whole wheat bread. Combs filed a $100 million lawsuit against NBC Universal, Peacock TV, and the production company Ample, alleging that their documentary, The Making of a Bad Boy, “assumes Combs’ guilt” and falsely labels him as “the embodiment of Lucifer.” Combs specifically objects to Al B. Sure’s insinuations that he was involved in the deaths of Kim Porter, Notorious B.I.G., Andre Harrell, and Heavy D, as well as Rodney Jones’ accusations that he sexually assaulted minors. His attorneys argue that the defamatory claims not only damaged his reputation but also jeopardized his right to a fair trial scheduled for three months from now. Kanye West showed his support for Combs by posting “FREE PUFF” on both his Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter. West then posted a series of messages demanding Combs’ release, including a plea to the President, stating, “PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF.” Joining Nancy Grace today:

Pastor John-Paul Miller was not home when the FBI Evidence Response Team raided his South Carolina residence. The FBI declined to specify what they were searching for, and spokesman Kevin Wheeler told USA Today the agency was conducting “court-authorized law enforcement activity.” Wheeler added that, due to the ongoing investigation, no further comment would be provided. Russel Long, attorney for Pastor Miller, criticized the FBI’s actions, calling them a “fishing expedition.” He stated, “There was no affidavit attached to the search warrant, so I have no idea what it’s in relation to.” Throughout the day, members of the FBI’s Evidence Response Team entered and exited the home, carrying paper bags and other items. Days before the raid, Pastor Miller filed documents with the South Carolina Secretary of State to incorporate a new religious organization, Living Water Church at Market Common. The filing describes the nonprofit as serving religious, educational, charitable, and literary purposes, listing Miller’s Myrtle Beach residence as the business address. Miller also formally updated the address of his existing church, Solid Rock Ministries, to its current location. Joining Nancy Grace today:

Just after returning to classes at the University of Georgia for the spring semester, Tara Baker heads to the law library for a study session. At a quarter to 10, Baker calls her friend from the library to make sure she got home safe, mentioning she's heading home shortly. The next morning, Baker misses her 9:30 class. In the mid-morning hours of January 19th, Athens-Clarke County firefighters are called to an apartment fire at 160 Fawn Drive. Firefighters break down a locked door to access the unit, and find a fire had broken out in the bedroom and burned through the roof. Among the rubble, fire-fighters discover the body of a young woman, later identified as first-year law student Tara Louise Baker. Police do not release Baker’s cause of death, but tell the public they believe she was murdered, the attacker a stranger to Baker. Investigators consider the possibility that Baker’s murder is connected to a Christmas day arson at a complex just a block from Baker’s. No one was home when someone entered the unit and set fire to a pile of clothes. Police also look at Baker’s boyfriend, but he passes a polygraph test and his alibi is confirmed. Investigators focus on a theory that a stranger broke into Baker’s apartment. Police reveal that Baker was beaten, stabbed, strangled, and potentially sexually assaulted. 23 years after Tara Baker’s body is found in her burning apartment, the GBI in partnership with Athens-Clarke County Police arrest a man suspected of her murder. Edrick Faust, 48, is put behind bars for 9 charges related to Baker’s sexual assault and murder. Joining Nancy Grace Today:

Halls gave the gun to Baldwin, who used it to rehearse a scene. According to the search warrant, Baldwin aimed the weapon at the camera when he fired, striking Hutchins and Souza. Comedian Bob Saget’s autopsy shows head trauma caused the actor’s death. Saget’s family revealed that officials had “concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep” while on tour. The autopsy shows Saget had fractured his skull which caused bleeding on the brain. A security guard found the 65-year-old “tucked in bed” and unresponsive when his family, hadn’t heard from him and contacted the hotel. Saget’s key card showed that he returned to his room at about 2:20 a.m. Dr. Joshua Stephany, the chief medical examiner of Orange and Osceola counties, attributed Saget’s injuries to a fall. The trauma caused veins in Saget’s brain to rupture, which then caused blood to pool, creating pressure on the hemispheres of the brain. Stephany found no other injuries and ruled the death accidental. The actor had no illegal drugs in his system, but there were signs of prescription drugs used to treat depression and panic attacks. Stephany found no indication that either drug contributed to Saget’s death. The autopsy report further found that Saget had an enlarged heart and that he showed signs of the coronavirus on a PCR test. Joining Nancy Grace Today:

16 Feb 2022 | Prince Andrew Forks Over 16 Million in Sex Attack Suit | 00:43:25
A settlement has been reached between Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre. Giuffre has long accused the prince of sexually abusing her multiple times when she was 17. The terms of the settlement have not been released to the public, however, reports say the terms pay out $16 Million U.S. dollars, with $2 million of that designated for a charity of Giuffre's choice. Last month, the terms of a 2009 settlement between Giuffre and Epstein were released to the public as part of Giuffre’s lawsuit against Prince Andrew. The document revealed that Giuffre was paid $500,000 in the settlement. Prince Andrew’s legal team has argued that the 2009 settlement legally shielded him from civil lawsuits like the one Giuffre had filed against him. He had also tried to stop the stipulations of Giuffre’s 2009 settlement from being released to the public. As part of the 2009 settlement, Giuffre agreed to “release, acquit, satisfy, and forever discharge” Epstein and “any other person or entity who could have been included as a potential defendant.” Prince Andrew contended that the decade-old settlement legally shielded him from civil lawsuits like the one Giuffre has filed against him. Delia Owens' "Where the Crawdad's Sing," a fictional story about a murder in North Carolina, has sold more than 12 million copies and has spent 166 weeks on The New York Times best-seller list. However, Owens is linked to another murder. The author is wanted for questioning in Zambia about a deadly shooting in Africa in the 90s. During that time, Owens and her then-husband Mark ran a Zambian conservation center protecting elephants from poachers. In 1996, they were the subject of an ABC documentary where one scene shows an alleged poacher being fatally shot. Neither the victim nor the shooter is identified. The mystery was never solved. 11:16 p.m. Saturday. Princeton police respond to a 911 call about a dead body and a fire in an apartment building. The caller remains cryptic, refusing to answer the dispatcher’s questions about who is dead, why they are dead, or who owns the apartment. Police and first responders surround the building, but nothing prepares them for what they find inside. Matthew Hertgen, 31, answers the door. Inside, officers see a bloody, unresponsive young man with blunt force and laceration injuries covering his body. He is pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators note that one of his eyes has been removed. Nearby, they find a bloody plate, fork, and knife. Officers also discover a bloody golf club and what appears to be the charred remains of a cat. The victim is identified as 26-year-old Joseph Hertgen. Matthew Hertgen is immediately arrested for the murder of his younger brother. The discovery of the bloody plate leads police to believe that, in addition to beating Joseph to death, Hertgen ate his eye. Princeton police have not disclosed a possible motive for the attack. Hertgen is also charged with animal cruelty and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The Princeton community is stunned. Residents describe Joseph’s death as devastating and tragic. A police source says no one could have foreseen such violence. Matthew Hertgen, they say, came from what appeared to be a stable, all-American family, with no signs he was capable of such brutality—especially against his own brother. Joining Nancy Grace today:

A 15-year-old boy says he is hiding in a bathroom on the main floor of the house because his 13-year-old brother, Benjamin, just shot is family and then "took himself out." Another call comes in to the 911 center at 5:02 am. Bradley Dennis lives down the street from the Humiston residence and says the 11-year-old sister of Andrew Humiston arrived at his home ringing the doorbell over and over until they answered the door. The girl says her family has been shot and are all dead. Bradely Dennis says the girl appears injured by a possible gunshot wound and she is bleeding from her neck and hand. The 11-year-old girl tells 911 dispatch she survived the attack by pretending to be dead when the gunman came into her room. As soon as the gunman left, the girl says she climbed out a "fire window" and ran into the middle of the street. When she looks into a window at the front of their home she saw the gunman who shot her. When an operator asks who that was, the girl tells 911 that her brother is the one who killed everyone--and she is terrified he will come to the neighbors house to kill her. 24 Jan 2025 | THE NEW DIDDY? WEALTHY FLORIDA REALTOR-BROTHERS' RAPE "TROPHIES" REVEALED | 00:41:18
The Alexander Brothers are accused of using their wealth and positions to create and facilitate opportunities to rape and sexually assault women. So far, more than 40 women have come forward accusing the three Alexander brothers of sexual misconduct, and investigators are asking other women who believe they have been assaulted to call. Attorneys for the brothers say they plan to plead not-guilty to the charges which, if convicted, could land all three brothers in prison for life. There are three Alexander brothers; Two of the brothers are twins, Oren and Alon, and their older brother Tal. Tal and Oren Alexander are known in the world of high-priced real estate having brokered a $47 million dollar deal for their dad in 2012 and a $240 million dollar Manhattan Condo sale in 2019, while Oren's twin brother, Alon, attended law school before joining the family's private security company, Kent Security Each of the three brothers has been accused of forcible rape by at least 10 women. All three indicted on Federal Charges of sex trafficking, while the twins Oren and Alon are charged with Sexual Battery in Florida. The Alexanders have denied the allegations in the civil cases and their reps have previously gone so far as to suggest the accusers were trying to shake down the brothers Investigators interviewing a victim, referred to as "Victim -1" in court documents, who claims she was raped by Tal Alexander and other men in 2021 at a home in The Hamptons. "Victim-1" is given a glass of wine, after which she doesn't feel well. She recalls Tal holding her down as another man enters the room, and later being in a separate room where a camcorder is set up. Some allegations made against the Alexander brothers are very specific. A victim called "victim-2" in court papers, tells investigators she was raped by Oren. Oren handed her a cocktail and she began feeling strange and struggles to walk. Alon Alexander then takes her to a bedroom to lay down. She recalls waking to find Oren in the room. Oren then pulls down her bathing suit and rapes her while she is “physically impaired and could not move." Joining Nancy Grace today:

22 May 2024 | COPS: "DRUNK ON CROWN ROYAL" PREGNANT MOM OF 4 MOWS DOWN 16, KILLS 2 | 00:40:37
On Saturday evening, a large group of family members are wrapping up their day at Looking Glass Valley Park in Watertown Township, a suburb of Lansing, Michigan. The group of 16 packs up and starts the short walk back to their grandparents’ home down South Waucousta Rd. Just before 6:30 p.m., an oncoming car plows through the family. Instead of offering aid, the driver takes off. Within minutes of the crash, at least 8 ambulances arrive. Two people die of their injuries,13 people are transported to the hospital via ambulance, more than half of them children. Three minutes after the crash, Clinton County Sheriffs notice a car with significant damage to the front passenger side swerving off the road and over the center line. The driver identifies herself as Ashley Monroe. Officers immediately suspect alcohol may be a factor in the crash. A breathalyzer test performed at the Clinton County Jail revealed Monroe had a blood alcohol content of .183, over twice the legal limit. The two victims who died at the scene of the crash have been identified as Jonathan Esch, 30, and Daniel Harris, 42. The surviving victims include six women, one still in critical condition, and eight children, including two six-year-olds and three toddlers. The alleged drunk driver, Ashley Monroe, is now facing eleven charges related to the crash. Monroe is charged with 8 counts of DUI causing serious injury or death, and 3 counts of leaving the scene of a damaging or deadly crash. At Monroe’s arraignment, her defense attorney reveals she is pregnant with her 5th child. Through a public defender, Monroe pleads not guilty to all counts. Monroe remains behind bars at the Clinton County Jail, held on a $1,000,000 bond. Joining Nancy Grace Today:

21 Jul 2022 | CULT MOM LORI VALLOW: Children's Blood on PICKAXE? | 00:41:32
A motion filed by the prosecution in the Chad and Lori Daybell cases asks that DNA testing be performed on items found the Daybell property. Those items: a shovel, pickaxe, the duct tape that was surrounding JJ's body, and also DNA testing on JJ's fingernails. What's at issue is consumptive DNA testing, meaning, that when the testing is complete there is no more DNA for future tests. So, there is only one shot at it and that's the reason why the prosecution has waited this long to do it. Joining Nancy Grace today:

31 May 2022 | Tot Boy Found Dead in "Fabulous Vegas" Suitcase: WHO IS HE? | 00:41:42
Investigators say the little boy found inside a suitcase in rural Indiana died from an electrolyte imbalance. State police are still working to identify the boy, believed to be about 5-year-old. Toxicology tests came back negative and the boy had no severe injuries. Police do not believe the boy was alive when he was placed inside the suitcase. A mushroom hunter found the hardshell suitcase, which features the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign. 28 Jan 2025 | BABY SHOWER FRIENDS SEARCH FOR MISSING MOM, 28, DAMNING POLICE BODYCAM EMERGES | 00:41:04
Naresh Bhatt has been held without bond since August on a felony charge of concealing a dead body, now a grand jury hands up a murder indictment against the man who was married to Mamta Kafle Bhatt. Naresh Bhatt now faces state charges of murder and defiling a body. The charge for defiling a body is due to evidence that shows the body of Mamta Kafle Bhatt was dismembered. Manassas Park Police Chief Mario Lugo says DNA tests proved blood found in Kafle Bhatt’s bedroom belonged to Mamta, with evidence showing she was killed on July 29. Investigators have been testing evidence found at the Bhatt residence, including what appeared to be blood found on a handheld power saw. DNA testing by Virginia's Department of Forensic Science reports the blood found on the reciprocating power saw matches the DNA profile created by Mamta Kafle Bhatt's hairbrush. This along with new body cam footage give insight into the investigation. Prosecutors are notifiying the court they intend to offer up results of DNA analysis. It is a state law in Virginia that the commonwealth has to give the defense a notice of intent as the first step to get that DNA evidence into the trial. The state is providing four certificates of analysis from the Virginia Department of Forensic Science showing results of the DNA evidence collected during the investigation. DNA was collected from Mamta's hairbrush, a piece of carpet, a garbage can, and a reciprocating saw and knives. Naresh Bhatt's trial is scheduled for September 8. Joining Nancy Grace today:

The pair attempted to flee when they realized police had found them, which led to a chase. A newly released 911 call appears to contain the last words of Vicky White. As sirens screech in the background, a woman’s voice says, "Airbags are going off! Let’s get out and run! We never should have left the hotel." Dashcam video also reveals that when the vehicle rolled over, police could see that Vicky was holding a gun to her head. “She still has the gun in her hands,” one officer says in the video. “Finger’s on the trigger.” Vicky White was hospitalized and died hours later. Casey White was extradited back to Alabama, where he has been charged with first-degree escape. He is already facing capital murder charges in connection with the death of Connie Ridgeway in 2015. 30 Sep 2022 | CULT MOM LORI VALLOW: New Netflix Cult Mom Hit, Will Jurors Watch? | 00:41:23
Questions are being raised about the impact of the new Netflix documentary, "Sins of Our Mother," on Lori Vallow's chances of a fair trial. Vallow's attorneys point to media coverage surrounding the case making it impossible for that to happen. To that point, Vallow's attorneys asked the judge to ban cameras from the courtroom, saying that the privilege had been abused by repeated "zooming in on Vallow Daybell's face" during a hearing. They raised the possibility of documents being scrutinized that way as well. Jim Archibald and John Thomas also claimed the cameras and microphones could potentially be used to overhear private conversations between the attorneys and client. Seventh District Judge Steven Boyce has now ruled that cameras, both video and stills will no longer be allowed from the courtroom. Joining Nancy Grace Today:

16 Feb 2023 | Alex Murdaugh's Damning Roadside 'Shooting-For-Hire' to be Heard by Jury | 00:58:29
Jurors learned today that Paul and Maggie Murdaugh were shot at close range. Dr. Kenneth Kinsey testified about the graphic wounds the pair sustained. Kensey said the first shot didn't kill Paul. In fact, Paul stood for a moment and began moving toward his killer, before he was hit with the second fatal shot. Kensey told jurors that the blood pattern proved this. Judge Clifton Newman also reversed his decision about allowing testimony on Murdaugh's alleged botched suicide plot. Judge Clifton Newman initially announced he would prohibit jurors from hearing evidence about Alex’s alleged botched attempt, but will now allow it after the defense opened the door with questions about Murdaugh's drug abuse and drug contacts.
