18 Feb 2025 | Equip Kids to Protect Themselves From Abuse | 00:54:55
Peer influences are powerful and there will be times other adults are around your children as they get older. Children must know when to disobey authority, what’s appropriate behavior, what to do when someone tries to touch them in the wrong places, and so much more. Isaac and Angie Tolpin dive into how to equip littles, middles, and teenagers to protect their body, their eyes, what boundaries to expect, and overall how to navigate in today’s world. They break their direction up into three periods of time in your childrens lives where you will go from high directive parenting, to guiding, and finally moving towards coaching your children in the teenage years. You’re still the parents and at times regardless of their age you’ll be directing, but be warned, if you don’t adjust over time, you will cause the opposite of what you want in your relationship with your children. 12 Oct 2021 | “Will Your Kids Trust You To Talk About The Hard Things?” | 00:35:12
Too many kids raised in Christian homes are falling away from the faith when they leave their parents' homes. Part of the problem is that too many assumptions are made by parents that actually put performance pressure on kids. That’s the opposite of creating trust and comfort for your kids to ask deep spiritual questions, wrestle with scripture, and be candid about their struggles. If we don’t create this kind of relationship, our kids will conform to the family Christianity, but when they depart from the family unit, their faith falls flat because it wasn’t based on their own real relationship with Christ.

01 Oct 2024 | Warning: Why Your Kids May Not Want to Have Kids | 00:45:57
We believe the huge problem Christians are talking about in the next 5-6 years is that their children don’t want to have children. The Tolpins give a clear and sound warning for intentional christian parents on why this epidemic may be around the corner and all parents should be sober-minded about it. It’s more than the stronger influence of culture towards not having children; the biggest problem they discuss are the things Christian parents may be doing in their home that unknowingly become catalysts for their children not wanting to have children down the road. 25 Feb 2025 | Only 4% of Adults Have a Biblical Worldview | 00:48:50
This should influence your parenting decisions: Two-thirds of Americans claim to be Christians, but only four percent of all adults hold a biblical worldview according to the recent Barna studies. So what does it mean when someone says they are a Christian today? It certainly doesn’t mean there's like-mindedness. It doesn’t mean we automatically trust them, and it doesn’t mean their children are safe influences for your children. This is true even in the church you go to. We aren’t to have fear, but instead to trust God, but can He trust you? Trust you to disciple his children in the ways they should go? God is sovereign but we have an awesome responsibility in equipping our children which frankly, in reflection of these stats is going to have to look much different than what most Christians are doing around you. There are a lot of opinions amongst Christian parents about how to best discipline their children, but every parent must do these two steps first. 19 Dec 2023 | Cultivate a Relationship vs. a Religious Driven Home | 00:37:53
You want to cultivate a relationship-driven home versus a religious home. I think we would all agree that the Christian faith is all about a real ongoing relationship with Jesus. But too often without even realizing it, in the eyes of growing children, they see a religious home that’s more about a couple of weekly events but not enough about a relationship. This starts with our own relationship with Jesus which influences our relationship with our children too. Don’t let life be too busy where you're not actually cultivating deep relationships that are growing with your children and a home that daily reflects its inhabitants having a growing relationship with God. 24 Sep 2024 | How To Pursue a Godly Marriage In a Fallen World | 00:54:43
Here are some of the main points from this episode: No Marriage is Perfect! We just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and one thing that hit us that oftentimes what people share is not the full truth or even fully close to the reality of the journey one has been on for ____ amount of years in their marriage! We don’t want you to ever get the wrong impression that we think we have the perfect marriage, or that we would even portray that! We do have a thriving marriage, and for that we thank the LORD because it’s what He has done in each of our hearts that has brought us to this place! But the reality is that relationships, particularly marriage, can be hard, people sin against and offend one another, get selfish, annoy each other at times, and so much more. The reality is that two sinful humans enter into holy matrimony, which means there is a huge opportunity for hurt, sinning against one another, being selfish, being “real” with one another which can often times equate to “not trying anymore.” BUT, on the bright side that means there is equally an opportunity for each individual in the marriage to grow in grace, forgive, grow in understanding, love, serve, be more selfless, and ask for forgiveness and walk in humility acknowledging when they sin! God deeply wants to do a powerful work in you and in your marriage. AND He has chosen marriage as the best avenue for refinement in all the godly character qualities He wants you to grow in! We address the current war Israel is facing as an example of how and when to communicate with your children about the challenges happening in the world. We give several warnings to parents about what they say in front of their children. While we believe in equipping through knowledge of the world at the right age, it must be seasoned with even more saturation of God’s truth in the bible. We must tip the scale towards the good news that gives eternal hope over the challenging news of the world; after all, I’m sure you are hopeful your children have children right? We are concerned that this next generation of believers won’t want to bring children into this world due to an imbalance of what parents are focusing on in their conversations while they are young. 03 Sep 2024 | Planting a Church- Be Rooted in Biblical Community | 00:42:30
Do you have strong biblical community? Do you know the people you go to church with? Do you or they notice when someone is not there and follow up? Is there authentic knowing of one another or do you only see each other on Sunday, maybe? You may think your church awesome! I hope you do! I hope this episode only spurs you on in more appreciate of what you already have! But when we ask people about what makes their church so special, the first thing most people will say, is the people. Is your church representative of the “Family of God” in your life? Have you ever even experienced it? What I am asking is not about how “good of a sermon” you heard on Sunday, although that is an essential element and one worthy of changing churches over. But anyone can listen to a great sermon now with everything online. The second greatest commandment Jesus left us with after “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. ” in Matthew 22:37-38 was v. 39, “ And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Neighbor. Just think about that for a moment. Do you actually know your neighbors? People in your town? I am wondering if you have strong trusting relationships with others who live near you. People who will help when that time comes and who can trust you to help them. I hope you do! We know many amazing people in our community, but none of us fellowship together in Church! Isaac and Angie Tolpin talk about why they are planting a brick and mortar church in the center of their home town and some of the changes they are making to the modern church model to go beyond Sunday attendance to a culture of real connection. Motherhood is hard sometimes, but hard does not equal bad. Join Angie (Mother to nine) and Abbie (Mother to ten) as they discuss a couple of the most challenging aspects of motherhood that they have experienced. A little hint, they talk about some riveting topics such as “Self-Care vs Soul-Care”, How to Find a Titus 2 Mentor and their experiences, as well as the “Gentleness Challenge” Abbie talks about in her book, “M is for Mama.” In case you are wondering, we talk in-depth about the difference between the “Gentle Parenting” movement of today and what God’s Word calls us to as Biblical Women to be gentle mothers because they are NOT the same thing.
