In this episode, Layci takes a deep dive into the process of change with Chad Peterson, owner of PTI Transportation. Chad and Layci cast a wide net in this conversation, covering topics that range from their trailer park childhood, grappling with stigmas from one end of the socioeconomic spectrum to the other, and of course, confessions of terrible leadership and subsequent change and growth.

11 Oct 20237: Two Times I Shouldn't Have Pushed Through00:11:16

In this episode, Layci shares two very painful moments in her life where she had to learn the hard way that ignoring her pain through losing herself in her work only resulted in burnout, longer recovery times, diminished quality of work, and prolonging her grief.

Layci makes the vulnerable plea to leaders everywhere to slow down, breathe, and feel the loss, hurt, and grief. You cannot heal it if you refuse to feel it.

Stepping into a leadership role will expand your own personal growth in surprising ways, especially in the realm of boundaries. So often leaders lose their way due to a desire to bring about client satisfaction, but they eventually find themselves compromising if conflict occurs.

In this episode, Layci is joined by Dr. Olivia Van Guyse, a physical therapist, health coach, and the face of @livwellvg on Tik Tok and Instagram with a following of over 220,000. Liv shares her own "Terrible Leader" moment when she realized she needed to return to her "why" and trust her instincts as a professional health coach, and how it changed her client interactions moving forward.

This is a conversation you won't want to miss, whether you're a seasoned leader or just getting started!
