05 Feb 2024 | GRASP Confidence: Selling With Confidence hosted by Tara LaFon Gooch | 00:32:17
I was a guest on Tara LaFon Gooch's podcast GRASP Confidence to chat about "Selling With Confidence" in December 2023. Take a listen! Tara's Spotify channel -- Watch my incredible interview with David Fung, Sr. Director at Salesforce as we explore selling with confidence. Selling with confidence is a powerful trait that distinguishes successful salespeople. Confidence exudes belief in the product or service, instilling trust in potential customers. When a salesperson is confident, they convey authority, knowledge, and competence, which can be contagious. It allows them to articulate the value proposition persuasively, addressing customer concerns with assurance. Confidence is not arrogance; it's a genuine belief in the offering's merits. To cultivate confidence, salespeople should stay well-informed about their offerings, hone their communication skills, and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.

In this episode of the Coachful Coaching Leadership Podcast, I dive into the powerful insights shared by Peter Reeve to unlocking success—investing in your people.
Peter has spent over 30 years in the technology sector and has been in a leadership role for nearly just as long. He has a passion for coaching and advises leaders to focus on their people and their success, not managing up and climbing the ladder. That way you will get far more satisfaction out of your work and good people will want to work for you. This will raise your game and you will rise as these talented people rise.
Peter discusses the significance of prioritizing employees and their passion, determination, and customer care. Neglecting people in companies and learning from past mistakes are discussed, along with leadership in challenging times. Peter emphasizes the importance of making tough decisions and ensuring individuals are in the right roles. The conversation highlights the need for leaders to listen, understand, and work diligently, sparking inspiration for personal growth and overcoming obstacles.
💬 Quotes from the Episode 💬
📜 "Nothing's impossible. You just got to think it through."
📜 "People will follow you as a leader. Not because you have a rank or because you have a title or they're told to. Maybe some of that happens, obviously, in the battlefield. But I think he said the most important reason they're going to follow you is, one, they trust you. They trust you're going to do the right things for them. So trust is really important as a leader."

09 Jul 2023 | Podcast 009: Coaching and Service to Others with Nathalie Blais | 00:39:59
🎙️In this episode, we chat with Nathalie Blais, the founder of Canada Coach Academy, a master certified coach (MCC), and a mom of two teens. The conversation covers everything from the power of being in service to the importance of perseverance and self-reflection. You'll hear about Nathalie's transformational journey and the lessons she's learned from her role models. And, of course, no podcast is complete without some sage advice, like teaching attitude, responsibility, and discipline to kids or holding space for people to develop their ideas fully.🎙️
🎙️ Nathalie shares her insights on how being in service to others is the main theme that runs through Canada Coach Academy. So, what does it mean to be in service to others? According to Nathalie, being in service is about having the right attitude towards clients, teams, and all those you engage with in your organization. It means reacting positively in challenging situations, being passionate about helping others grow, and creating a culture of service within your team. 🎙️
Here are three tips on how to effectively be in service to others:
🟢 Create a culture of service: Encourage your team to prioritize helping clients and colleagues whenever possible.
🟢 React positively in challenging situations: As Nathalie puts it, "It’s not what happens, it’s how you react."
🟢 Help others grow: In coaching, mentoring or leadership, creating opportunities for others to learn and grow is key to being in service to them.
💬 Quote from the Episode 💬
📜 "I believe that coaching can change lives. I also believe that when someone becomes a coach, the first life they change is their own because they go through a transformation in the project in the programs. Do the work on you first and then do it with others. Because if you haven't done it on yourself, how do you know what the process is? You can't support another person through it unless you've actually done it." 📜
