On this week's episode, Blakely talks about her new tattoo and her experience at a unique concert over the weekend. Sonja hit up all the shopping hot spots and watched a scary show, and then a not-so-scary show. Well, maybe scary to Blakely.. They discussed what happened in the NFL and Blakely revealed her love of the Eagles QB. The girls give their Superbowl predictions. They hopped right into Golf talk, excited about the new LPGA YouTube show that will be released at the beginning of February. They talked about Max Homa and his big win, and the unique fan experience that he was involved in. This week's golf news was not without drama - the girls broke down purple-pants-gate, tee-gate and Blakely even gave a wonderful comparison of PGA/LIV Tour/World golf standings to, you guessed it, Gilmore Girls. (We'd actually be very surprised if you did guess that!) Sonja brought up some listener data from everyone who listened to the pod last week, and she also issued an apology for her harsh statement from the last episode. The girls share the very exciting news of their trip to Arizona at the end of February. Blakely takes us along her grief journey and her most recent show binge. The girls are back, and Blakely kicked the podcast off by bringing up the podcast hitting the top 5 for golf podcasts in Canada on Apple Podcasts! Sonja recapped her weekend trip to Radium and her puzzling, and Blakely hosted a Superbowl party. The girls recapped the Rihanna Half-Time show and her "special guest," and Blakely's already excited for next season. Sonja is all caught up on 'Last of Us" and it's too scary for her. The girls get into golf and start with Maja Stark winning the European Tour. It was a big week for Canadian golfers as Stephan Ames won the Champions Tour event, and Nick Taylor came 2nd at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The girls break down the highlights from the WMPO including Scottie Scheffler's back-to-back win which puts him ranked number 1 in the World Golf Rankings. They also chat about the 16th hole streaker, Rickie's hole-in-one, and Max Homa's club throw. Sonja also finds a way to bring up the Bachelor while talking about Justin Thomas. Blakely tells some stories from when she worked at a driving range, and her driving range date fail. The girls talk about the big week of golf coming up with the launch of the Netflix Show, and Tiger announcing he's playing in the Genesis Invitational, along with our guy Adam Scott. The girls had a lengthy list of talking points this week! The girls start out by recapping their weeks. They then give their thoughts on the Netflix show, Full Swing. The LPGA is still on break for one more week, but some of the LPGA players dominated the Ladies European Tour event in Saudi. Lydia Ko and Aditi Ashok were at the top of the leaderboard, so we're excited to watch them next week in Thailand for the LPGA's 2nd event of the season. The PGA had the Genisis Invitational at Riviera Country Club, and Jon Rahm came out on top with Max Homa fighting hard but falling just short. Tiger Woods packed around a Tampon, but then made a little girl's day by signing a glove for her, Rory McIlroy almost threw a club, and Sahith Theegala ended up in the top 10! After this weekend, Jon Rahm is back in the World Number 1 spot after his 3rd win this calendar year! Bernhard Langer won the Champions Tour tournament so he is now tied for the most Champions Tour wins. He also has a fantastic smile. Spring has sprung and the girls are back with another fresh episode! Sonja talks about her wild night out at the Calgary Roughnecks game, and Blakely shares her 'wild' night as well. The girls recap their trip to the PGA of Alberta golf show on the weekend, Sonja's golf club search. The girls recap the Women's Epson Tour event that was at Longbow Golf Club, which was where they played a few times while they were in Scottsdale. Blakely also shares some fun facts about the winner, Gabi Ruffels. This week's golf-heavy episode starts with Blakely's fancy golf skort find and favourite brunch spot, and Sonja's Starbucks order and their final Sunday at sim league. The girls get right into golf and recap the LPGA Drive On Championship where Celine Boutier bested Georgia Hall in a playoff. Blakely also shares our response to a few DM's we received about the lack of LPGA coverage on TV. Hello friends, Happy Masters Week! Blakely talks about her interesting trip to the dentist, and Sonja recaps her husband-free weekend full of Love Is Blind and Blizzards. What an amazing week for Ladies' golf! The Augusta National Women's Amateur was incredible to watch - Rose Zhang and Jenny Bae went to a 2 hole playoff before Rose came out on top. The LPGA DIO Implant LA Open came down to the wire with Ruoning Yin and Georgia Hall, but Yin held on to win by 1 stroke leaving Georgia in the 2nd place spot for the 2nd tournament in a row. Blakely was so happy to watch her boy Corey Conners put on his shiny new cowboy boots after winning the Valero Texas Open. Her only hope now is for him to get a green jacket to go with those boots! We're only a few sleeps away from the Masters! The girls talk about driving up to Magnolia Lane, asking high school acquaintances for Sunday tickets, who they think from LIV will perform well, Blakely gives us an Augusta history lesson, Tiger and Bryson have a falling out, and Blakely and Sonja make a bet on if the winner will cry. Sonja is back down in Arizona, and Blakely is home getting ready for her sons 6th birthday, but the pod continues! They hop right into recapping the new episode of the LPGA Drive On youtube show where they follow 4 players during the Drive On Championship that was played at Superstition Mountain just west of Phoenix. They also talk about Grace Kim's big win in a playoff at the Lotte Championship at Hoakalei Country Club in Hawaii. This week is the first major for the Ladies of the LPGA - the Chevron Championship played at The Club at Carlton Woods in the Woodlands, Texas. This is the first year this tournament will not be played at Mission Hills with the winner jumping into Poppies Pond. This week the girls start the episode by recapping their Mother's Day weekends. Blakely had a mishap with the flowers she brought for her mom, they played in their first ladies' scramble tournament of the year, and are trying to rally the troops to play in the Magrath Ladies Scramble, and the Babes GDGT tournament in Scotch Creek BC. The LPGA Founders Cup was this week and Jin Young Ko came back from being down by 4 to win it in a playoff over defending champion, Minjee Lee. The LPGA Drive On series released its 3rd episode where they recap the Chevron Championship and the girls learn about an LPGA romance. Jason Day won his first event in 5 years at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament, and this week the PGA players are gearing up for the second major of the year, the PGA Championship. This week the girls recap their long weekends, Sonja was up in Edmonton with her in-laws and Blakely was stranded at home with her kids in the smoke. Blakely went golfing on Sunday and the girls talk about improving their course management, Sonja accuses her of having distance dysmorphia. They get right into the talk of the weekend, the PGA championship. Brooks Koepka beat Viktor Hovland in the day's final grouping to win his 5th Major. The real talk of the weekend was Michael Block, the PGA pro who ended the weekend T15, and captured everyone's hearts while doing it. The Club Twirls Girls were riding a high after their first win at the Babes GDGT. After taking a week off, the girls are back to fill you in on their happenings. Blakely and her brother won the coveted Country Hills Cup, and Sonja and her husband played in the same tournament and are still married! The second LPGA major of the year, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship happened, and Ruoning Yin was the champion, winning her first major and second event of the year! This weekend the LPGA players are rolling into back-to-back majors with the US Women's Open, at Pebble Beach. Michelle Wie and Annika Sörenstam will be playing, alongside a 14 year old. This week Sonja recaps her weekend at the Whitefish 4th of July Tournament. From her Pit Vipers, to her 13 on hole 13, to dipping mugs in a BFP at the Bulldog, she leaves no detail uncovered. Blakely went to Bull Bustin, acted as a mechanic, took her kid to nerd camp, and recapped their ladies night last week with their big horse and buggy win. Sepp Straka won the John Deere Classic, Mark Hubbard gave the finger to either his caddy or someone else (we will be doing a full investigation and keep you posted), and the big names in the PGA skipped out on the John Deere to head over to Europe to watch the Wimbledon and get ready for the Scottish Open! The girls start the episode out recapping their weeks including Blakely's drummer's arms, and a full on inspirational TED talk. They also give their thoughts on all things Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce. They recapped their last tournament of the year, the Fall Finale, and talked about Mataya Hampson who is a 15 year old junior girls golfer from Calgary who bombed some long drives for us at the Mickelson National Ladies member guest that we played in. They then get right into recapping the Solheim Cup starting with their feet tans and yellow dresses, and ending with the exciting yet anticlimactic ending. Lexi Thompson received some heat after an interview, and Angel Yin showed off more of her hilarious personality. The Europeans kept the cup after the tournament ended in a tie, and the ladies will be flying back to Arkansas to play in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. The PGA men just arrived in Rome for the Ryder Cup and now it will be up to team USA to at least tie the Europeans to keep the cup. Brooks is bringing his mullet and Bryson wishes he got an invite.
