TV Joe apologises for snapping at Natalie Cassidy when he was hungover at the last Chatabix christmas party. As they continue to wait, it becomes clear that David has forgotten they are podding. When David eventually appears he is outside a not so luxury spa that he has walked out of because he felt too uncomfortable. It transpires he went to the spa for the day with his wife Naomi and got the days muddled thinking TV Joe was on the following week. After some digging about why they left the spa early it seems that David's perception of events don’t quite tally up with his wifes. Joe makes David take Naomi for a pub lunch. Joe and David catch up with their old mate comedian Roisin Conaty. While they wait for her they tell each other elephant jokes. Roisin kicks off by telling them about cold water swimming, getting the shits and losing her voice. It’s another electric start to the show with the guys both pumped and ready for action. Not really - this is Monday morning podding after all. Joe’s just back from a trip to the Isle of White where he over-ate and also had quite a few compliments from the locals about The Cockfields. Being a big supporter of the RNLI, he also took the opportunity to visit their station in Bembridge and tells David about watching one of the boats launch. Then for some reason, David remembers that David Walliams has swam the English Channel and so they want to find someone who’s done that too, to ask them what it’s like. Talk then inevitably turns to moving to the Isle of White and also, who gets the ball rolling on discussions about stuff like that with their wives. David’s recent family holiday to the beautiful seaside village of Polperro in Cornwall was unceremoniously ruined by him catching a nasty bout of flu. To kick things off, David starts to recount a walk he went on recently from Bolt Head to South Sands. But try as he might to be enthusiastic with his story-telling, it’s not long before he loses interest and they decide to roll the dice on some other conversation topics. To kick off today’s show, Joe tells David that he’s started drawing using his iPad, which he’s really loving and has almost finished his first picture. Also, as they’ve both been ill for the past week, they compare notes on all that. They are not really sure why they got sent a hamper of fourteen different types of weetabix but hope it's one step closer to getting a sponsorship deal. Joe is feeling his age at his 5 aside football as there are some new younger players. He decides to write a song with Eyes on Legs about being nearly 50. Joe re-tells a story he heard from a friends, friends dad about Robbie Williams allegedly bouncing on a sofa when he was 20. David does a bit of Black Adder, impersonating Rik Mayall.
