04 Jun 2021 | Centered in Meekness (D&C 63, June 7th-June 13th) | 00:13:54
Ah meekness. It sounds like such a sweet little word, but it really is asking us to do something big and great. It's asking us to chill out. It's asking us to trust the Lord. This meditation will help us face our demons, repent of our mistakes, and move forward in meekness. References: “Behold, I, the Lord, utter my voice, and it shall be obeyed...let the wicked take heed, and let the rebellious fear and tremble.” (D&C 63:5-6) “ye are not justified, because these things are among you.” (D&C 63:19) “there will be foolish virgins among the wise.” (D&C 63:54) “Being meek does not mean weakness, but it does mean behaving with goodness, showing strength, serenity, healthy self-worth, and self-control.” (Ulisses Soares) “in meekness..warn sinners to repentance.” (D&C 63:57) “...no condemnation…” (D&C 63:64)

References: “...fear of man” (D&C 60:2). “shake off the dust of they feet against those who receive thee not…” (D&C 60:15). “...[He is] with the faithful always.” (D&C 62:9) “..I the Lord rule in the heavens above…” (D&C 60:2) “...all flesh is in mine hand…” (D&C 61:6) “...I am in your midst…” (D&C 6:36) “...be of good cheer…” (D&C 6:36).
08 Oct 2021 | Centered in Sacrifice (D&C 115-120, October 11th-October 17th, 2021) | 00:13:10
What do you need to let go of? The saints made great sacrifices and lost much to build up the church. Is there anything you're holding tight to that is preventing you from more fully receiving the blessings of the gospel? In this meditation, we will sacrifice, or let go of something that is holding us back, and then we will welcome whatever the Lord has in store for us. Music provided by Addison Kirk. REFERENCES:“Sacrifice shall be more sacred unto me than his increase, saith the Lord” (D&C 117:13). “The drop...neglect the more weighty matters” (D&C 117:8). “Be faithful over a few things...be ruler over many” (D&C 117:10). “Arise and shine forth that thy light may be a standard for the nations” (D&C 115:5). What part do you have to play in God's plan? It's easy to lose focus and get stuck in other people's stuff, or even in God's stuff. In this meditation, we refocus on our part and take ourselves out of the business of others. Music provided by Addison Kirk. REFERENCES:“Tarry at home, for he is needed” (D&C 124:102) “I have a mission in store for [you]” (D&C 124:102). “Much of our stress comes from mentally living out of our own business” (Byron Katie). “Stand in the office of [our] calling, and humble [ourselves] before [Him]” (D&C 124:103). “[Christ has] seen the work which [you] hath done” (D&C 124:17)

This meditation guides us through using our free will and doing the things we love while asking for the Lord's support. “For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant” (D&C 58:26) References: “the Lord wasn’t asking them just to come to Zion - He wanted them to build it.” (Come Follow Me, May 24-30, pg. 93) “sparsely populated place,” (Come Follow Me, May 24-30, pg. 93) “For behold, it is not meet that I should command in all things; for he that is compelled in all things, the same is a slothful and not a wise servant” (D&C 58:26) “Anxiously engaged in a good cause...do many things of their own free will…” (D&C 58:27) “...[your] reward lurketh beneath, and not from above” (D&C 58:33) “[seek] the praise of the world” (D&C 58:39) “with thanksgiving, with cheerful hearts and countenances” (D&C 59:15) |
